MAC Cosmetics – Heatherette for MAC Review, Swatches, Photos

Date: Thursday, March 20th, 2008 Author:

OVERALL, Heatherette will impress those who are looking for fabulously hot pink packaging with equally fun colors for their collection. Not everything is as bright as people have made it out to be; all of the lipglasses except Style Minx are very wearable and subdued. Both Fleshpot and Lollipop Loving lipsticks are perfect for summer and not at all crazy or out there in terms of intensity or color. I loved the texture of the new dual edge eye pencils, even though I was only drawn to one of them in particular. The trios were boring for me, personally, because I find them quite dupeable, but the packaging is so slim and sleek it was hard to resist not getting one of the two just for packaging.

Share your impressions of Heatherette! Don’t forget to submit your product photos & swatches to temptalia@gmail.com!

Lipsticks

  • Fleshpot is a light, warm pinky nude that is definitely wearable, especially when topped with a brighter gloss (e.g. underneath Style Minx to tone the lipglass down or Starlet Kiss on top to give you a pale pink lip combination).
  • Lollipop Loving is a peachy-pink kind of color with green-gold reflects, which makes it more unique compared to the other lipsticks. I think people will be drawn to this one, much like High Top (from Fafi) in its strange reflects. I see this being an easy everyday color for some pop and fizzle.
  • Melrose Mood is a pale bright pink, more intense and better color pay off than Real Doll lipstick from Barbie Loves MAC in 2007. This is probably the least wearable out of the four lipsticks, just because it is incredibly cool and the color itself is bright enough to make some weary.
  • Hollywood Nights is a creamy fuchsia-pink with very little reflects and a subtle sheen. I’m reminded of the PRO lipstick colors in its intensity and shade. I personally found this skippable, just because I have so many hot pink lipsticks I rarely wear as is, but it’s a nice one to add to your collection if you’re lacking in that color department!

Lipglasses

  • Bonus Beat is this gorgeous, fleshy peachy nude color that will just look lovely on lips. I think this is actually a surprising favorite for me, just because I think it would make a great color on top of other lipsticks. I love the gold shimmer in it.
  • Sock Hop is a creamy peach with orange undertones, kind of like a really orange coral (rather than pink). It’s pretty, but I don’t know if I’d reach for it regularly – it does remind me a little bit of Tartlette, in a creamy formula, but it isn’t a dupe.
  • Starlet Kiss is better than the typical pink lipglass that comes out with launches, because it is a ilttle brighter and has cool pink-purple reflects. I did find that it is still very similar to the dozens of other pink glosses MAC launches each line. Pretty but not a “OMG, must have this now!” kind of color, if you’ve already indulged before.
  • Style Minx is a really pretty dark fuchsia-red gloss with lovely purple shimmer reflects. I like the consistency and intensity of the texture, and for me, this one called out amongst all of the lip products. I have plenty of hot pinks, light pinks, and reds, but this is a combination of hot and dark pink that I couldn’t resist.

Eyeshadow Trios

  • Trio One consists of Hoppin’, which reminds me a lot of Shroom, a soft highlighter with subtle sheen; Mood Ring, an intense, smooth, and rich teal–very much like Aquadisiac with way better consistency and color; and Cloudburst, which has come out before, and is a chalky black with gold reflects. Even though the teal is gorgeous, the other two colors were unimpressive (especially since I have Cloudburst already), so I find this easy to skip.
  • Trio Two consists of Baby Petals, which is a highlighter kind of color with pink undertones; V.I.P., which is a nice shade of bright medium pink with very subtle shimmer (reminds me a bit of Da Bling or Living Pink); and Cassette, which is a rich dark purple with glitter, much like Fertile or Fig. 1 (without the shimmer). This trio is really pretty to look at, but again, the colors just aren’t so unique that you can’t replicate them using existing or past products.

Dual Edge Eye Pencils

  • Black Funk/Pop Blue is this really rich and intense black kohl on one end with the other as a bright pop of teal. I picked this one — couldn’t resist the intense black (and the teal is a bonus).
  • Nighthawk/Front Row is a duo of a dark, intense black-brown with a complimenting bronzy-gold. Pretty but I didn’t find it necessary.
  • Phone Me/Text Me has an intense blue-black on one end with a silver-blue with subtle shimmer on the other end. I was reminded of the soft sparkle pencils with some of these textures, though they are smoother and the glitter isn’t as chunky.
  • Fab Orchid/Dash Lily has an intense purple-black on one end with a glittery cool purple on the other end. I felt like this one had the most noticeable and chunky glitter, but the color itself goes on quite smoothly.

Pigments/Glitters

  • Jardin Aires is a lovely peachy-gold that makes an excellent base under shadows, cheek highlighter, and even body highlighter. I think this is a really wearable shade, and I definitely recommend it.
  • Pink Pearl is one of my favorite pigments, because it just has this lovely duochrome nature to it – pink and purple, truly. It reminds me of Stars ‘N Rockets eyeshadow in pigment form.
  • Reflects Gold is a fine translucent glitter with gold reflects and sheen. I liked this more than 3D Silver, but I still didn’t get it since I have no need for something that isn’t eye-safe.
  • 3D Silver is a chunky silver glitter color, and honestly, since these aren’t eye-safe, I always find myself yawning.

Beauty Powders

  • Alpha Girl is a smooth, satiny medium pink (not bright, not really cool) that will make for a nice soft flush, and since it doesn’t really have much noticeable shimmer, I think it will work universally.
  • Smooth Harmony is a rich tan that goes on smoothly, and I honestly used to use this as a contour color two years ago. It’s going to act as a bronzer for more people than a blusher, but darker skin tones may find it adds a nice glow for them.

Nail Polishes

  • Lola Devine is a creamy pink with a touch of coral-red in i, which is very pretty and perfect for both spring and summer.
  • $$$$$ Yes has an interesting name, and it really looks like foil. It’s that bright and gives off quite a bit of sheen. I don’t see myself wearing this one, but I know others will just die for its metallic finish.

I’m loving the lipsticks and lipglasses! Those are like THE perfect colors.

  2. Robin says:

thanks for the review, can’t wait to see them in person later.

  3. Nell says:

I´m sold on the lip products (again!), still thinking about the Trio #1.
Do you think Hoppin´ is similar to Surreal e/s?

Thank you again for your great work, I´ve become dependent on you;)

  4. dee says:

Right now Bonus Beat and Style Minx and the Black Funk/Pop Blue eye pencil are calling my name. And I get paid tomorrow! This is great timing.

    • Christine says:

Yayy for pay day! Let me know how you make out, Dee! :)

      • dee says:

I only got Style Minx. I was with my mother at the store and for whatever reason, I really just cannot shop for make-up with her around. I’ll have to go to another one later this week and really play around with what I want to buy.

        • Christine says:

lol, does she hover or what? I always feel silly if I buy a LOT of makeup with my mom around.

          • dee says:

She kind of gives me this look like, “what you think you doing with all that”. She also looks at me crazy if I spend more than 40 dollars at a time, so it can be an issue. I know it’s been a few weeks but I bought Fab Orchid/Dash Lily and Black Funk/Pop Blue eyeliners. I still had to wait til my mom left the MAC counter, but I got it. I’ve got the Black Funk part of my eyeliner on today and I actually lined the bottom waterline which I never do…I’m so proud of me.

  5. A says:

OMG, Lola Devine NEEDS to be a l/s or l/g!!!

  6. Tekoa says:

How does Style Minx compare to Totally It from Fafi? I only need one or two bright pink glosses.

  7. Chrissy says:

I have to say, I wasn’t really feeling Fleshpot until I saw it in person, and now I think it might be my favorite item from my haul. It’s a great neutral color.

Christine, thank you for getting swatches to us so quickly! You rock!

  8. Liz says:

Thanks so much! I won’t get to check this out until next week, sadly; my counter isn’t getting it until then.

I share your disinterest in the eyeshadows since I have comparable shades, but some of the lippies are tempting, especially the bright pinks. Do you think Girl About Town is a suitable dupe for Hollywood Nights? What about Hothouse or Bow Belle vs. Style Minx?

    I can’t wait to play!

    • Christine says:

My pleasure, Liz! I’m happy to be lend a helping hand… literally, LOL.

It’s not an exact dupe, but it’ll do. My basic feeling is I have TOO many hot pink/bright pink lipsticks that I almost never wear that I can easily pass on Hollywood Nights, even though the texture is dreamy. Hothouse and Bow Belle are too purple to be a dupe for Style Minx. I would say Bow Belle is a closer dupe than Hothouse, though.

      • Liz says:

Whoa, I just logged in and your reply was the first thing in my inbox :) I think your comparison is right on… I’d also been thinking Bow Belle would be a bit too purple-y to dupe Style Minx, which is looking like a must. :) But I just don’t wear GAT enough to buy its duplicate, even though I’m invariably drawn to bright fuchsias, particularly creamy ones. Thanks so much.

Now my dilemma is: Starlet Kiss, or VG VI SE? (They both might be too light for my lips, though.) If they’re dupes I’ll get VG VI instead for the charity factor, but who knows? :)

        • Christine says:

I know what you mean – I’m terribly drawn to hot pinks, dark pinks, and reds… all of which I rarely seldomly!

I like both, it’s hard to choose. I think Starlet Kiss might be a TOUCH more bright and pinker, but I’d probably opt for VG for the charity factor too.

  9. Shefali says:

I totally agree with you Christine about the eye trios. I passed on both of them because I think I have stuff already that would totally duplicate the looks. Still love the packaging though…it’s just so adorable!

However, I still ended up with both pigments, Hollywood Nights, Style Minx, Lollipop Lovin, Sock Hop, and 3 pencils (didn’t get Phone Me/Text Me). I’m hoping to swatch some and send them to you today (hopefully).

I’m an NC27 with pigmented lips and Fleshpot was insanely white looking on me. I put Style Minx over it and it looked ALOT better, but I have pink lipsticks that it looked like. Melrose Mood was a little better but still really shocking on my lips. I didn’t get either.

I wanted Starlet Kiss but realized it looked alot like Viva Glam VI LE so I swatched them next to each other…they looked exactly the same on me. So I passed on that. I also passed on Bonus Beat b/c on me it looks like one of the Christopher Kane/Lancome glosses on me. Pretty and sheer, but I already have something like it.

    • Christine says:

It’s too bad that the trios were SO disappointing and dupeable :( Couldn’t they have made at least one fantastic trio?!

Thanks for pointing out the VGVI (le) vs. Starlet Kiss comparison!

  10. pompam says:

I’ve kept refreshing your site for this fabolous swatches >o<
FINALLY…here it is!! LOVE LOVE YOU!!

I definitely gonna get LOLLIPOP LOVING+SOCK HOP! so gorgeous!!

Love STARLET KISS as well!! but I guess Ill skip the Melrose Mood, as it isnt wearable for me

Christine, I do need a comment from you. Between BONUS BEAT and SUGAR TRANCE from fafi, which one u feel that it gives more pay off colour. And for nude, beige or gold color, which is a better one….

Other than these,,I gonna get the trio2 + the pencil DASH LILY/FAB ORCHID!! these must creat a nice purple look
(the pop blue shows nice color as well, will check it out)

I cant wait to check out Alpha Girl,,if it doesnt give me too similar color like SASSED UP..ill buy it too

Love you again,,will wait for another heatherette look from u!!

    • Christine says:

lol! Neither of them really has “color” pay off, IMO… Sugar Trance is more like a white-gold, whereas Bonus Beat is a taupe-beige-gold kind of color. I like Bonus Beat, I think!

  11. MariahGem says:

I was so surprised about Fleshpot and Bonus Beat! I totally thought I wouldn’t want them, and that Fleshpot would make me look dead, and Bonus beat looked like it might be boring, clear & glittery. Boy, was I wrong! These are both gorgeous! I couldn’t believe how wearable Fleshpot was and how opaque and pretty Bonus Beat is!

I ended up getting all 4 l/s and all 4 l/g!! They’re all so awesome. I think my favs though have to be Hollywood Nights and Style Minx! Style Minx is almost like a lacquer! It’s so silky and gorgeous!

I did get the trio #1, since I don’t have any Mac shadows like them. I was planning on getting the pink/purple trio, but once I got there I was a little unenthused. I didn’t expect to fall in love with trio #1 like I did! So pretty!

And I got the Black Funk/Pop Blue pencil and the purple pencil as well. I was actually getting the black/blue one for the hot blue, but you’re right, that black is SO silky and smooth, what’s not to love?

I was pretty bummed the store didn’t have the Pink Pearl pigment, which I was dearly waiting for, but oh well, I’ll either get it online, or come back and see if they get it later! LOL!

    • Christine says:

I knew it! I knew Fleshpot would end up grabbing more attention than people were thinking. Lucky you to have all those new lip products to play with :D

Awww, I hope you can pick up Pink Pearl later, it’s gorg!

  12. BaDKiTTy says:

i am so going after work! thanks!

  13. Carrie says:

Hmmm, maybe I will be more into this collection than I thought!

Phone Me/Text Me is really calling my name, maybe because it matches the striped shirt I am currently wearing.

I think I’ll also pick up Alpha Girl and both nail polishes. I have two other silver shades, but neither looks so much like foil! I love that, b/c I often wear subdued grey clothes and the silver nails just give a little kick to keep from being all somber.

I really like Hollywood Nights, but I haven’t been able to pull off fuchsia since I dyed my hair red. :(

    • Christine says:

      Yay, I think ;)

I wasn’t into Alpha Girl, but I’d love to hear some glowing reviews on it!

Aww, that sucks that hot pink is no more for you with your new hair!

  14. Brooke says:

you always have the BEST swatches!

did you get fleshpot and style minx? if so could u do a pick with them both on? I’d love to see the colors and how style minx is toned down by fleshpot if you can! thank you!

  15. pompam says:

    again, Christine

For Pink gloss,,Starlett and Cult fave…which one is more pay off color..

now i start to want too much for this collection!!

While Ive got only Sassed up+Sugar Trance l/s+Cash flow paintpot from Fafi
(As the package is really disappointed for me, but til love the color tho)

Right now we til have Fafi in germany..so if some of fafi offer better color than Heatherette,,then i might go back to get Fafi

  16. Sarah says:

    Christine~

Is Mood Ring similar to Rollickin from Fafi? I know they are diff textures. It seems as if it is, which is better?

  17. Emily says:

I am SO excited with my Heatherette purchases :) I stuck to the lip products b/c the shadows/pencils didn’t really stand out to me. But the lip products…yum. I got all the glosses besides Style Minx; all are super pretty! Lollipop is definitely great for day… Fleshpot and Melrose are super sexy for going out! LOVE!!

  18. Livia says:

Hey Christine… would you say hollywood nights is similar to fashionably fuschia/rocking chick?

  19. Milan says:

Going to a launch event at my MAC Pro store in Los Angeles tonight to meet Heatherette and get my goodies. I think I’m passing on the e/s trios as they seem totally dupeable and nothing too unique. I do want Sock Hop and Bonus Beat and i’m thinking about Lollipop Loving l/s. I also want the black and blue dual edge pencil and i’m debating between the phone me/text me or the purple one. That should be all. I’m passing on the beauty powders although the compact is cute. Don’t have much use for the pigments.

  20. tricai says:

i got a special preview of the collection(thanks to the store manager)last night when i went to my favorite mac store, here in los angeles.

  21. kachelle says:

I got both trio’s just because. the lollipop lovin’ l/s and the style minx l/g.

  22. kachelle says:

and i forgot i also got the jardin aires pigment

  23. Ceci says:

I’m definitely going to save up for some of these products. The colors are vibrantly amazing. Style Minx is a really hot color! I especially like the eyeliners. This is the type of stuff I would go to the village (SoHo, NoHo, TriBeCa: as you can tell, I’m from NYC) with (and see everyone else wear too). Very funky.

  24. Heather says:

I really liked the lip products more than I thought I would. I got Lollipop Loving, Hollywood Nights, Style Minx, and Starlet Kiss. I got Trio #2, which was alright…not great, but I have Cloudburst already, so I didn’t want to get it again in Trio #1. I got Alpha Girl, and all of the eye pencils except the brown one. I also got the Bad Girl lashes :-) I think I might go back and get Fleshpot (since everyone seems to like it) and Bonus Beat. I don’t mind having almost everything from this launch…afterall, my name is Heather! So I have MAC make-up with my name on it!!! :-)

  25. Kristen says:

    Here’s my haul…

    Jardin Aires pigment

Fab Orchid/Dash Lily dual edge pencil
    Nighthawk/Frontrow dual edge pencil

Starlet Kiss lipglass (super pretty pastel pink)
    Style Minx lipstick

I had just bought Pink Poodle lg, so I hadn’t planned on getting Style Minx at all, but when I swatched it, I couldn’t resist!

  26. Sanayhs says:

Oh boy. My trip to MAC today ended up with me leaving with: the dual edge pencils in black funk/pop blue, nighthawk/front row, fab orchid/dash lily; lipstick in hollywood nights, lollipop loving; jardin aires pigment; she’s bad lashes; perky paintpot from Fafi; beauty powder blush in secret blush; fluidline in shade; brushes 217, 227; four empty sample jars.

I wasn’t crazy about Melrose Mood because it was milkier on me than I would have liked. Fleshpot looked utterly ridiculous. The eyeshadows didn’t interest me, nor did the fourth eyeliner. Alpha Girl was absolutely invisible on me (no glow, no nothing) and though I could’ve gotten the other BP to use as a bronzer, it didn’t hold my attention. The other pigment and the glitters are pro colours, and thus can be obtained later, when my bank account refills!

As for the glosses… I promised myself after Fafi’s Totally It I was done buying MAC glosses. Don’t get me wrong, I love them! – just not the price of them. Gloss is gloss, and I can get way cheaper and still in pretty colours! This leaves more money for other snazzy MAC things. :D I know Totally It is really different from Style Minx, but it still looks wonderful with Hollywood Nights.

  27. azy says:

i read somewhere the eyeliners werent suitable for the waterline, can anyone confirm?

  28. Tekoa says:

I ran off with both trios, all four eyeliners, two lipglosses and two lipsticks. The lipglasses are Sock Hop and Style Minx. Lipsticks are Hollywood Nights and Lollypop Love. If I had unlimited money I’d have gotten all the lipglasses, but the lipsticks are another story. Melrose Mood looked too much like Pepto Bismol on me, and Fleshpot didn’t catch my eye. No clue on what Alpha Girl looks like, my MAC didn’t get it in!

I also got the pink/purple Trio and Nice Vice for my friend’s birthday present.

    • Christine says:

Whew, what a nice haul, Tekoa! Very lucky girl, and I hope you enjoy yourself when you play with it all :)

Alpha Girl is eh, and chalky, you didn’t miss out :P

  29. kim says:

Hi I had a quick question about how you said the reflects gold and the 3d one wasn’t eye safe, does that mean the Antique Gold Reflects Glitter that was launched awhile ago is not eye safe as well? I’m hoping to find out because I’ve been using it on top of my eyeshadows! =(

    • Christine says:

      Hi Kim!

From what I know, they are not eye-safe. Even with the Reflects Glitters, I was told they were eye safe by some, and then that they weren’t eye safe by others. It’s all very confusing and inconsistent :(

  30. victoria says:

i totally agree with your review. i was a bit dissappointed with the items i planned to get but was very pleased with items that i had no intension of getting. totally agree with the trios, i got trio 2 only because i don’t have a pink and purple e/s & was waiting for this collection. i thought i would be getting lollipop loving, because of how my lips are pigmented, i got the asian two tone greyish lips, & i had to get a l/s, i got hollywood nights which surprisingly i can pull off. i must say this satin finish sure last a long time even after i washed my face. i was a bit dissappointed with the bp because i really wanted it to be as shimmery like barbie but it’s okay as a light blush plus the packaging. but i am most pleased with the pencils, i never thought i was going to get one because i didn’t like the glitter pencils that were out during the antiquitease, for some reason i feel the color payoff of the teal one is so great. i might get another one as a back up.

    • Christine says:

That’s great that you were able to nab that super cute pink palette! I wish I could justify it myself, lol!

I love the black pencil, can’t wait to play with it today.

  31. Kirsten says:

Hey, Christine! May i just say that your site kicks some serious bootay??????????

i have a couple of questions, and i’d really love to pose them to you via personal e-mail; if you have time, would you drop me a line @ aglaia531@gmail.com and maybe we could swap a few thoughts when you have a second?

Thanks, sweets! I can’t say often enough how much I appreciate this site and the effort you put into it. Thank you. Seriously.

  32. Aurora says:

wow! can’t wait for teh collection! though i’m kinda disappointed by the lipstick colours? there dun seem v wearable

  33. Mary says:

Hello :) I have a question. You mentioned that reflects gold wasn’t safe for eyes, but the girl behind the counter here went on and on about how reflects are specially made to be eye safe. I’ve been wearing reflects on my eyes off and on since Christmas, but would stop immediately if I knew for fact they aren’t eye safe! Let me know and thanks!

  34. Sara says:

was i kind of right about full on lust being like sock hop? how do you think they compare?

btw i love you for this christine! lol

    • Christine says:

Sock Hop is not as “dirty” as Full On Lust (from what I remember), it’s a little brighter and more orange, but you could probably skip Sock Hop if you have Full On Lust.

      Thanks :P

  35. BaDKiTTy says:

Ok, so i got only Lollipop Loving and Smooth Harmony from this collection.
My MA told me that the glitters are not eye safe, but shes still wears them. So you can wear it on ur own risk.

    • Christine says:

Yeah, I wouldn’t wear glitters that weren’t eye safe… definitely not often if at all, because sometimes the glitter bits can scratch at your EYEBALL! and cause seeing issues later on down the road :(

  36. Milan says:

So the launch event was a lot of fun. I got to meet the Heatherette Duo and they were nice enough to sign an autograph for me. Richie Rich told me my name is FABulous! I love him!

So I fell in love with the lippies mainly…I got:
    Hollywood Nights
    Lollipop Loving
    Sock Hop
    Style Minx

and I opted for the Black Funk/Pop Blue dual pencil. I passed on everything else. Either it didn’t fit my skintone (NC50) or just wasn’t my thing.

  37. meagan says:

Love your site! I picked up trio #1 because I don’t have anything like it, Style Minx lip glass, Fab Orchid/Dash Lily pencil and Lola Devine nail polish. Soooo wanted Lollipop Loving but it looked awful on my fair, rosy complexion. Style Minx is surprisingly amazing on its own – the color payoff is fantastic and it has this lacquery, dimensional quality that I haven’t really seen before! Lola Devine is the perfect spring/summer nail polish – the perfect coral with just the right balance of orange and pink.

  38. Tina says:

Thank you, thank you, thank you! I went out and bought Phone Me/Text Me and Lollipop Loving and they are absolutely divine. The liners go on so smooth, its like nothing i’ve ever tried before (i’m a new M.A.C. convert!) and lollipop is so pretty and perfect for day or night.

  39. victoria_m says:

i am loving all of the lip products!!!
I hope to get the eye trio 1 too!!!

  40. Steph says:

I really wanna get Lollipop Lovin and Sock Hop.. hopefully, they won’t be sold out when I get to my MAC store on Monday.. I’m thinking about the BP’s, would any of them look good on someone w/ NC44 skin? =\

  41. Belinda says:

Hey Christine, how does starlet kiss compare to FAFI cult fave?

    • Christine says:

      Hey Belinda!

They are realy quite close – not exact dupes, but close enough that you could skip one for the other. Cult Fave is just a touch purple compared to Starlet Kiss. Shefali told us that Starlet Kiss = VGVI (limited edition) lipglass!

  42. shar says:

Hey Christine – do you think lollipop loving will look good on a NC42 skintone? Thanks!

  43. desiree says:

hi christine, just wanna know if alpha girl is worth the purchase for an nc30? does it have any color payoff and isit really just like a chalky pale pink from far like your close-up swatch, cos sometimes i find that swatches may not be similar to the overall actual application. thks :D

    • Christine says:

Honestly, I didn’t like it. I’d rather get one or two beauty powder blushes than Alpha Girl, since I feel like it’s chalky and the pink isn’t very strong at all.

      • Sanayhs says:

I LOVE the beauty powder blushes, and have no affection for Alpha Girl whatsoever (I suppose the fact that it’s completely invisible on my NW15 (or less) skin doesn’t help its case).

I figure: the BPBs are cheaper, have more colour and a gorgeous texture… what’s not to love!?

  44. star says:

Hi Christine, or anyone else who can help. How does Style Minx l/g compare to Grenadine slimshine?

  45. Roxy says:

Wow!! These swatches are FANTASTIC!!! Thanks a bunch … you always do such a wonderful job of getting the info out! xo

  46. Jessica says:

omg. I went to MAC yesterday to pick up some stuff and I left with the largest haul I’ve ever had. From Heatherette, I picked up Trio #2 (since I don’t really have those colours yet), Sock Hop l/g, Lollipop Loving l/s, Fab Orchid/Dash Lily eye pencil, Black Funk/Pop Blue eye pencil, Pink Pearl and Jardin Aires pigments. Not from the Heatherette collection I got a eyeshadow pro palette, #36 lashes, lash glue, MSF in Light Flush, Viva Glam VI SE l/g, True Romantic and Joyous Beauty Powder Blushes. My bank account really took a hit yesterday and I was supposed to be saving money for my trip to California in a few days :S but as hard as I try, I cannot resist MAC but luckily I did still skip out on some items I was planning on getting (like the BPs even though the compact was so cute!). I was wondering, is Jardin Aires pigment very similar to Melon pigment? I didn’t have time to compare them in the store. Thanks!
P.S. I LOVE LOVE LOVE your blog Christine!! <3

  47. Kristie says:

I am entirely too into these hot pink/fuschias.. I own Hothouse, Totally It and currently have Style Minx on hold waiting for me. Its sad! Sock Hop is starting to call to me now, will look great in the summer with a slight tan..

  48. Kristie says:

Oh and Lola Devine nail color is really really pretty. It comes off more coral than pink but its great!

  49. Ju says:

    Hi Christine,

I was a e/s girl but I started to read your blog and I’m now a “lippies girl” lol

My list : lollipop, Hollywood + Style + Sock + Starlet from Heatherette. And a lustreglass “Palatial” because it’s lovely.

Thank you for your reviews and yours pictures ;)

glitter is not eye safe when it transfers into your eyes
mac has to point that out because they dont want trouble

all the mac make up artists i know use it over eyeshadow though and me too just make sure you use a good base and remove before sleeping

you can add a lil duo lash glue first and then a lil glitter so it stays put
i never had problems with the glitter getting into my eyes

wow – such beautiful shades, I want them all! Just wondering, what font do you use on the swatches…the “fleshpot” and “lola devine” font? It’d look great on party invites for my 21st b’day!
Thanks again for info, you have the best updates etc. on the ‘net!
