Sugar Plum Fairy Lips with Lancome

Lancome Untamed Plum La Laque Fever Lip Shine ($26.00 for 0.21 oz.) is a darkened plum with a little wine in it and gold shimmer. It’s really a beautiful color on the lips, because it’s just dark enough to be dark, but it’s not so dark it’s too bold. You could even wear it alone, just running errands, which is really nice. The La Laque Fever is an interesting gloss formula (“lip shine” in Lancome-speak), because it has the glossiness of a gloss but the color is more like that of a lipstick. I find the glossy part wears off after an hour or two, but the color remains for six or longer and does make it (mostly) through a meal, as well. Some of the shades run more opaque than others, with this one being more semi-sheer/semi-opaque–it gives my lips a very nice, plummy tint, but it’s not opaque.

I love this shade and everything, but when I actually tried it on I found that it leaves sort of big lined creases on my lips... It defines every little crease tenfold.

Hi, I'm a skier, and I was wondering if you'd think this would stay put while I rocked the slopes. I'm going skiing with a gorgeous boy soon, and I gotta look my best ;)

I do think it would, though it's not entirely kiss-proof, LOL!

Well in that case, does it taste good? :D

LOL, tasteless it seems to me!

This reminds me a lot of LM's stickgloss in Black Orchid so I won't be picking this up myself. I do love these kinds of colors though. =)

I love these glosses, I'm waiting for a 3 new colors to arrive from Nordie's this week !

Nice color, but I can just imagine lots of bleeding.

Very pretty - I have never worn these lippies but this would be a great place to start!

Gorgeous! I might have to add this to my Christmas wishlist...

that is pretty and it looks like a stain. I like that it is a cross between a pink and a purple.

How do you like the wand Christine? I don't think I've ever used a lipgloss with that sort of foot/brush on the end. Did you find the product easy to apply without a mirror with the brush?

I have no problems with it - it's a little big, even on my lips (which I don't consider small or thin) - but I'd say I'm just indifferent to it!

I want, I love the La Laque Fever formula.

Ditto. This shade is too perfect, I can see it working on so many skin tones.
