Illamasqua Muse Nail Varnish
Illamasqua Muse Nail Varnish
Illamasqua Muse Nail Varnish ($14.00 for 0.5 fl. oz.) is described as a “deep teal blue.” It’s exactly that–at first glance, it’s more blue than teal, but it’s not just blue. There’s teal, blue, and enough depth to call it deep. The finish is creamy, and the color is opaque in two coats (but nearly opaque in just one). I had an easy time with the formula, because it wasn’t too thick or thin, so the lacquer flowed evenly across the nail and didn’t bubble. I typically get a week’s worth of wear out of Illamasqua’s nail polishes.
It reminded me of Cult Nails Let Me Fly without the shimmer. It was a little bluer and darker than Orly Viridian. It is darker compared to Butter London Artful Dodger.
Where to Buy: Sephora, $14
The Glossover
Teal is always an interesting color, because sometimes it leans blue, other times it leans green. Here's a teal that leans a little blue but not too blue.

Oh, I just sampled this while in Sephora the other day! It is a nice color that I think will carry well into fall. Christine, what nail polisher remover to you use? I use CVS pure acetone, and I'm worried it might weaken my nails, which is why I stopped doing my nails as much, but I still want to change them every other day!
Just checked and Dior nirvana got green undertone but OPI Suzi Says Feng Shi is quite close to it :)
So gorgeous! Blues are some of my favorite polish colors and this is perfectly muted for fall and winter.
omg, your nail surface is that smooth, or its the varnish? :O ( sorry for my english :)This is amazing!
I'm loving this color and I'm really curious to try out some Illa polishes. Wonder what kind of brush they have!
