Estee Lauder Peach Nuance vs. MAC Ripe Peach Blush Ombre
Estee Lauder Peach Nuance vs. MAC Ripe Peach Blush Ombre — Dupes?
Estee Lauder Peach Nuance Blush ($26.00 for 0.25 oz.) may have escaped your notice, but it is now highly touted as a perfect dupe for MAC’s Ripe Peach. I was quite confused at the hype over Ripe Peach after it came out, to be honest. It’s pretty, but I am completely surprised at how collectible it has become. When murmurings began comparing Estee Lauder’s Peach Nuance, I knew I had to find out for myself.
Peach Nuance is incredibly close, but I found it was a little lighter and a smidgen pinker–it also doesn’t have the shimmer-sheen of Ripe Peach. It’s close, truly, but it’s not a perfect dupe to me. When worn on the cheeks, the difference is much, much subtler, but when swatched, the difference is more noticeable. Peach Nuance is a lightened coral-pink with a very silky, nearly matte finish. If you want to get closer to Ripe Peach, stay more on the coral side of the blush and avoid the lighter side, which does most of the lightening.
This is all to say that Peach Nuance is a lovely color, worth getting if you missed out on Ripe Peach and would love a gradated coral blusher. (Estee Lauder also carries several other Nuance shades, which seem to all have the gradated look.) It’s smooth and easily blended, though the color is soft and sheer and needs to be built up for a more intense look. It’s a great coral for both cool and warm skin tones, though, so it’s a very universal shade. It could be a little more pigmented, but it’s on par with the pigmentation of Ripe Peach.

I purchased this blush today, OMG I'm in love! :) The colors looks amazing on my light to medium skin tone. And the brush it comes with is really soft.
I have a question: the packaging looks black in your pictures, although I have the notion that most Estee Lauder makeup products come in the eblue packaging. Is the black case the new, revamped packaging, is it special-edition while the blue cases are the original from the permanent line? I'd be glad if you cleared that up for me ;) Thanks
It's blue - but it's the kind of packaging that looks blacker in natural light, which is what I take photos with.
Are they still selling the Peach Nuance like the one in the pic? because when i look online.. its only 1 solid color . instead of gradient
Yay I got this from my CCO for only $18.25!!! I also got plum nuance, both are lovely! Thanks Christine!!!
I worked at EL Macy's counter last winter and we had to send these back because we weren't carrying them anymore. And I have seen them at CCO's. I'm pretty sure they are DC'd. Maybe they are only perm to Nordstrom?
EL Peach Nuance Blush is my first blush that i own since 5 years ago, and it still look new now. I love how this blush look on me but it doesn't stay on my face that long. It look so different with this new packaging.
I saw this at the recent estee lauder sale in Toronto this weekend... i already have ripe peach and i will never hit pan because its HUGE... so i told my friend to snatch it up and she loves it.
i happen to have both cuz after i got ripe peach, i felt like i didn't wanna use it just yet.. maybe just keep it in my collection and use something similar.. which is why i got peach nuance at a cco. they are pretty darn similar but i agree that ripe peach maybe a little more pigmented... and peach nuance definitely has more yellow to it which is probably why it comes out lighter, hehe
Christine! Thank you so much!!! I'm a bit late to the comment party. But How does Peach Nuance compare to MAC's Instant Chic? I've missed out on this and now it's sold out everywhere. Thanks in advance (if it reaches you)
I couldn't get Ripe Peach so I will be looking into this. I think I may even like the colour better :) Thanks!
I was just at the EL counter at my local Macy's and was told Peach Nuance is discontinued. How odd...
I honestly walked out thinking maybe Macy's had no idea what they were taking about. Or maybe it was just discontinued at Macy's. Ah well, who knows! They're my only brick and mortar store that carries EL, though (we don't have Nordies here) so I guess it's online I go!
I absolutely love these posts where you compare and swatch possible dupe products for us side by side! Please give us more!
The Estee Lauder one is way more prettier than the MAC one, I'm debating now the fact that I should probably check this line of blush, they look so pretty. Is it limited edition or part of the permanent line???
I think that both are lovely, but I surprisingly think that the Estee Lauder blush looks more compatible with my skintone. I missed out on Ripe Peach, so I may very well check this one out. Thanks for the info! :)
I love Pink Kiss and Tender Petals...I have 3 sets of Estee Lauder blushes as I bought 3 blockbusters through the years. Only managed to finished 2 of the 10 colors! Pink Kiss is peachy red on my face and looks really good though it looks brownish red in the pan.
It would not surpise me if they were exactly the same, seeing as they are both Estee Lauder owned brands.
I think it's pretty classy and elegant actually (though I don't much like the brown cases the e/s quads come in though) even if it is a bit retro. YMMV.
ive always thought the same thing. I hate owning estee lauder or even clinique because i feel its mainly for older women
Christine, I'm trying to dupe Ripe Peach by finding a blush that dupes the orangey side and another that dupes the pink side. Do you have any recommendations? I think Nars Gina may be a dupe for the orange side but its too matte, other than that I'm drawing a blank. Thanks!!
I have several EL blushes and IMHO, they are pretty underrated - I think they are great! I have Pink Nuance, Pink Kiss, Nude Rose and Tender Petal - I had been tossing up between Peach Nuance and Sweet Nectar but I have now been swayed!
i think i may like this one better than ripe peach...RP looked a little too orange/red on me when i put it on at the counter, & i think this one may give me the perfect flush! thx!!
Really? I gotta respectfully disagree...Milani Luminous is more like NARS Orgasm...peach with gold shimmer. Ripe Peach didn't have shimmer that I noticed.
