Estee Lauder Peach Nuance vs. MAC Ripe Peach Blush Ombre — Dupes?

Estee Lauder Peach Nuance Blush ($26.00 for 0.25 oz.) may have escaped your notice, but it is now highly touted as a perfect dupe for MAC’s Ripe Peach. I was quite confused at the hype over Ripe Peach after it came out, to be honest. It’s pretty, but I am completely surprised at how collectible it has become. When murmurings began comparing Estee Lauder’s Peach Nuance, I knew I had to find out for myself.

Peach Nuance is incredibly close, but I found it was a little lighter and a smidgen pinker–it also doesn’t have the shimmer-sheen of Ripe Peach. It’s close, truly, but it’s not a perfect dupe to me. When worn on the cheeks, the difference is much, much subtler, but when swatched, the difference is more noticeable. Peach Nuance is a lightened coral-pink with a very silky, nearly matte finish. If you want to get closer to Ripe Peach, stay more on the coral side of the blush and avoid the lighter side, which does most of the lightening.

This is all to say that Peach Nuance is a lovely color, worth getting if you missed out on Ripe Peach and would love a gradated coral blusher. (Estee Lauder also carries several other Nuance shades, which seem to all have the gradated look.) It’s smooth and easily blended, though the color is soft and sheer and needs to be built up for a more intense look. It’s a great coral for both cool and warm skin tones, though, so it’s a very universal shade.  It could be a little more pigmented, but it’s on par with the pigmentation of Ripe Peach.

Recommendation: Completely worth picking up if you’ve been trying to find your own Ripe Peach or refuse to pay $70 for one on eBay. Worth picking up if you’re a coral fiend, period!

can you use it in an upcoming look ? I’d like to see the result on a full face :)
It’s pretty ! I had ripe peach but I couldn’t really make it work so I gave it to my best friend who seemed to really love it ! I think this one could work on my skin tone better

  2. Lenora says:

Peach Nuance looks pretty. After all the hype I actually returned my Ripe Peach. I felt it looked a little ashy on me (somewhere between NW45-55). Still haven’t found the perfect peach for me but I like Korres Orange blush.

  3. Lacey says:

I agree. Peach Nuance looks VERY pretty! I think I’ll have to give that a go for this weekend :)

  4. knownever says:

When I go looking for dupes I’m usually looking to dupe an interesting packaging or feature so the gradiation of Ripe Peach is what really caught my eye. So I’m really glad to see Estee Lauder has come out with that same nifty feature long after mac’s version is sold out!

  5. Kara says:

    Wow that is pretty close!

  6. Christa says:

I have Peach Nuance and love it. I also have EL Radiant Peach which I love even more. Beautiful and glowy!

  7. Azaza says:

It actually looked really nice when I swatched it on my hand and I’m planning on getting the other color of the Estee Lauder blush

  8. missmarnip says:

i’ve been using peach nuance long before ripe peach was released and was surprised that ripe peach was much pinkier on my skin that p.n.
pluse peach nuance looks more natural and fresh in my opinion.

  9. Andrea says:

I think I like Peach Nuance better, I HAVE to pick it up soon !

  10. Melanie T says:

Is the Estee Lauder Peach Nuance permanent?

  11. Sexy Sadie says:

Make up Store has one similar too.

  12. chibu74 says:

wow, these two look so identical

  13. Jennifer says:

Honestly I would rather own Peach Nuance over Ripe Peach. I like the color of PN more, and the packaging to me is far superior to Ripe Peach. It’s so pretty to look at :)

  14. Nic says:

I was a bit bummed about missing out on Ripe Peach, so I’ll definitely be checking this out. I’m surprised I didn’t think of it before since I’ve had Plum Nuance forever, and I love it (though I guess I haven’t stopped by the EL counter in quite a while).

  15. Rachel says:

EL Peach Nuance looks better and smoother in formula than the Ripe Peach.

  16. Mabeline says:

It doesn’t surprise me that Estee Lauder came out with a blush close to the MAC blush. This company acquired M.A.C. Cosmetics in 1998. This would explain why there is only a slight difference.

  17. Rawrzellers says:

I hate that packaging, I’m still a Ripe Peach lover, they need to re-promote it like ASAP.

  18. Katie says:

I just looked at Estee Lauder’s website and it says that they are sold out:( Does anyone know if it’s still carried in stores?

  19. lauraaaaa says:

    omg i need this now

  20. Beauty is in my eyes- Behold it! says:

An even cheaper dupe for Ripe Peach is Milani’s Lumnious Blush!

    • Mandy says:

Really? I gotta respectfully disagree…Milani Luminous is more like NARS Orgasm…peach with gold shimmer. Ripe Peach didn’t have shimmer that I noticed.

  21. ocelot1 says:

i think i may like this one better than ripe peach…RP looked a little too orange/red on me when i put it on at the counter, & i think this one may give me the perfect flush! thx!!

  22. CeeBee says:

I have several EL blushes and IMHO, they are pretty underrated – I think they are great!
I have Pink Nuance, Pink Kiss, Nude Rose and Tender Petal – I had been tossing up between Peach Nuance and Sweet Nectar but I have now been swayed!

  23. Sabrina says:

Christine, I’m trying to dupe Ripe Peach by finding a blush that dupes the orangey side and another that dupes the pink side. Do you have any recommendations? I think Nars Gina may be a dupe for the orange side but its too matte, other than that I’m drawing a blank. Thanks!!

  24. Kelsey says:

    that is so pretty!

  25. Laura says:

Could it be a possible dupe for marine life?

  26. Mandy says:

EL packaging is so old-lady. :/

    • CeeBee says:

I think it’s pretty classy and elegant actually (though I don’t much like the brown cases the e/s quads come in though) even if it is a bit retro. YMMV.

    • Jessica says:

ive always thought the same thing. I hate owning estee lauder or even clinique because i feel its mainly for older women

  27. Laura says:

It would not surpise me if they were exactly the same, seeing as they are both Estee Lauder owned brands.

  28. Ferarri says:

I love Pink Kiss and Tender Petals…I have 3 sets of Estee Lauder blushes as I bought 3 blockbusters through the years. Only managed to finished 2 of the 10 colors! Pink Kiss is peachy red on my face and looks really good though it looks brownish red in the pan.

  29. Kathy says:

I think that both are lovely, but I surprisingly think that the Estee Lauder blush looks more compatible with my skintone. I missed out on Ripe Peach, so I may very well check this one out.

    Thanks for the info! :)

  30. Marcela says:

The Estee Lauder one is way more prettier than the MAC one, I’m debating now the fact that I should probably check this line of blush, they look so pretty. Is it limited edition or part of the permanent line???

  31. jaspreet says:

    sexy

  32. Meri says:

Based on the swatch, I like Estee Lauder Peach Nuance more !

  33. Laura says:

Can it be a dupe for marine life?! From your swatch it looks like it

  34. Melissa says:

I absolutely love these posts where you compare and swatch possible dupe products for us side by side! Please give us more!

  35. Melissa says:

Will peach nuance show up on my NC 50 naomi campbell color skin?

  36. Cassy says:

I was just at the EL counter at my local Macy’s and was told Peach Nuance is discontinued. How odd…

    • Christine says:

At Nordstrom they told me it was permanent!

      • Cassykins says:

I honestly walked out thinking maybe Macy’s had no idea what they were taking about. Or maybe it was just discontinued at Macy’s. Ah well, who knows! They’re my only brick and mortar store that carries EL, though (we don’t have Nordies here) so I guess it’s online I go!

  37. Brenda says:

I couldn’t get Ripe Peach so I will be looking into this. I think I may even like the colour better :) Thanks!

  38. aurea says:

and compared to the euphoric orange by givenchy ?

  39. cherryglass says:

Christine! Thank you so much!!! I’m a bit late to the comment party. But How does Peach Nuance compare to MAC’s Instant Chic? I’ve missed out on this and now it’s sold out everywhere.
Thanks in advance (if it reaches you)

  40. Jackie says:

i happen to have both cuz after i got ripe peach, i felt like i didn’t wanna use it just yet.. maybe just keep it in my collection and use something similar.. which is why i got peach nuance at a cco. they are pretty darn similar but i agree that ripe peach maybe a little more pigmented… and peach nuance definitely has more yellow to it which is probably why it comes out lighter, hehe

  41. mac me happy says:

I saw this at the recent estee lauder sale in Toronto this weekend… i already have ripe peach and i will never hit pan because its HUGE… so i told my friend to snatch it up and she loves it.

  42. Chips says:

EL Peach Nuance Blush is my first blush that i own since 5 years ago, and it still look new now. I love how this blush look on me but it doesn’t stay on my face that long. It look so different with this new packaging.

  43. Laura says:

    were these blushes limited edition???

  44. Liz says:

Yay I got this from my CCO for only $18.25!!! I also got plum nuance, both are lovely! Thanks Christine!!!

  45. sharonabear says:

Are they still selling the Peach Nuance like the one in the pic? because when i look online.. its only 1 solid color . instead of gradient

  46. cbsg5861 says:

I have a question: the packaging looks black in your pictures, although I have the notion that most Estee Lauder makeup products come in the eblue packaging. Is the black case the new, revamped packaging, is it special-edition while the blue cases are the original from the permanent line? I’d be glad if you cleared that up for me ;) Thanks

  47. Stephanie says:

Hi Christine! Is this a limited edition blush?

  48. Stef says:

I purchased this blush today, OMG I’m in love! :)
The colors looks amazing on my light to medium skin tone.
And the brush it comes with is really soft.
