Dior Rose Diamond Skin Shimmer ($42.00) is just as lovely and pretty as my eternal favorite Amber Diamond. Surprisingly enough, it has a good amount of pigmentation to give me not just shimmer, but a light rosy flush on my cheeks. I alternate between using the 188 or the 129 brush to apply the Skin Shimmers, depending on the intensity of what I want. I definitely see myself using this as an easy go-to blush for days when I’m pressed for time or prefer a very minimalistic look. The shimmer is subtle and sophisticated–no chunky glitter bits here.
See a full face photo with this as a blush!

(I wore this look yesterday, I hope to post it later this week! Yes, that’s All Mine lipstick, too!)

I bought this about a month ago and just love it!!! I wear it everyday – either by itself or layered with a blush. I know it’s kinda pricey, but it’s totally worth it!

Hey, if you use it every day, then it is certainly worth the price tag ;) I use Amber Diamond ALL the time, and it never looked close to being finished either.

Beautiful! But if you must choose, would you rather have amber or rose shimmer?

If you want more color, Rose. If you want more of a bronzy look, Amber. I prefer Amber on myself because it flatters my skintone well!

I see this looks good on!
I bought the Amber diamond as per your recommendation and used but It doesn’t give me color
except for shimmer for an NW43. I hear they had a limited edition Copper I think.
I actually prefer Guerlain, the Terracotta, they had 3 versions last year but I got African Rhythm, it gives me color/shimmer
Any thoughts?

Hey Love!
It doesn’t give me too much color, but the shimmer and slight bit of color it gives really warms up my cheeks (I’m NC30). I haven’t played with the Terracotta, so I can’t give you any insight, but I will check them out soon!

It is part of the permanent product line as far as I know, so places like Norstrom, Sephora, etc. should have it!

Thats another great look on you. You have endless gorgeous looks. I love that shimmer too. After i saw the amber one on you i went next day to get one, and the lady at the counter recommended the rose one for me. I agree with you, it does give you a little bit of colour and shimmer. I love it!! :)

It’s beautiful! I was thinking to get the other colour variation yesterday but then I tried it today and found out it would work better for me. I still haven’t bought it, though (54 bucks in my country and need to save for Christmas presents). But now I realised I have to get it anyway as I could use it as a blush as well. Previously I though it could only work as a highlighter or eyeshadow. Thank you, Christine for your advices – you look perfect with this ‘minimalist’ make-up!

I got the Rose one first and loved it SO much I immediately went out and bought the Amber too. Got Copper Diamond last month and although it looks very similar to Amber in the pan it is different on your skin.
I like layering these over a brighter blush, especially an intense pop of colour on the apples of my cheeks and then highlighting and diffusing with shimmer. Lasts for ages and looks luminous!

OMG.. I just bought my first Dior. I got this (I know I”m late to this entry). I love this! It’s beautiful. Even though I’m usually into more peachy tones, this blush is perfect. (I’m Nw20)
I bought the sunset cafe quint, 222 Casual beige High shine lippie and this blush. It was beautiful. I’m usually Mac enhanced so this was a lovely change!
Can’t wait for the spring dior!

Hi!
This shimmery powder looks amazing and i’m very tempted to try it. However, I wanted to know how it compares to the MAC MSF Degrade in Blonde. The two seem very similar. Have you tried both, and if so, which do you prefer?
Thanks a lot :)
Christine

They’re similar, but I like the Dior Diamond Skin Shimmers better — they don’t bring out fine lines, pores, etc.!
