Chanel - Spring 2008 - Aurora Blues Accent Spring Collection

Posted in: Chanel, Spring 2008

Chanel goes icy blue for their Spring 2008 makeup collection.  Soft pastels in the Camelias palette, while Bleu Cèlestes is a gorogeous trio of shades of blue and a lovely highlighter.  Blue Satin is supposed to be the next “it” polish amongst addicts, so be sure to scoop it up if you’re loving rich, navy blues.

I knew you’d love this, Zsofi! You’re all into those super high-end brands like Chanel, YSL, Dior…

That dark blue eyeshadow is gorgeous! Love the dark blue nail polish too! This may very well be my first channel purchase.

I know! I’ll have to see the quad in person, though… I’m not a huge fan of most Chanel shadows (just can’t justify the price!). I think I’ll pick up the polish if they have any left.

is the base meant to be a foundation primer? it looks abit like smashbox’s photofinish

I think it’s a foundation primer (I believe I saw it under the foundation heading on Neiman Marcus’ site).

I was just playing with the display of this at Nordstrom today. It’s gorgeous. The Camelias eyeshadows look like creams but they’re powders. They’re that soft and rich. And Blue Satin? Liquid sex for your nails. It is fantastic. If I’d had the money, I would’ve bought it.

It seems so odd that it’s out everywhere already!

I think I might pick up Blue Satin myself!

What’s the color pay off like for Chanel’s eyeshadows?? This collection looks absolutely fab!!

Hey Charlene! In general, it’s decent. In my experience, I haven’t found them to be va-voom, but they’re always a bit subdued - Chanel is all about classy looks, so even when they do a blue, they do something subtle.

Ooooohhhh lovely. I am in the UK and I can’t wait for this collection to arrive. I love the blues - has anyone tried the blush? I definately want the quad and the light blue polish since Blue Satin isn’t limited edition anyway I can take my time!

I haven’t personally tried the blush (unfortunately, the counter didn’t have any of the collection out, but luckily they at least had the products).
