Bobbi Brown Party Alice Lip Color
Bobbi Brown Holiday 2011: Party Alice Lip Color
Bobbi Brown Party Alice Lip Color ($23.00 for 0.12 oz.) is described as a “pink rose.” It’s a new and limited edition shade from Bobbi Brown’s holiday collection. The Lip Color is designed to deliver “Rich color” with a “soft-matte finish,” while still moisturizing and being comfortable to wear. Party Alice is more like a coral-pink on me than rose; more peony than rose if we’re going to use floral descriptors! It’s opaque in color with a creamy finish that has a gentle sheen but no shimmer. There’s enough vibrancy there to brighten the face but not enough to make it a bright or neon shade at all; there’s a slightly dusty quality to the color. It’s a bit darker than MAC Ultra Darling, more opaque than Chanel Coquette, pinker and darker than NARS Niagara, and not as bright as Chanel Genial.
Bobbi Brown’s Lip Color formula is good; it delivers on the full color coverage it promises, and it isn’t drying. I find that they’re moisturizing enough to wear without feeling the urge to apply lip balm for four to five hours, though by six hours I’m ready for a boost of moisture. The creaminess in the texture allows for even color to deposit on the lips and good glide overall. Generally, I get four to six hours of wear with this formula, though I reached five hours with Party Alice in particular (it’s been awhile since I’ve tested the formula!).
The Glossover
Really lovely lipstick formula with excellent color payoff, comfortable and longer-than-average wear. This is the type of coral that looks good on cool and warm skintones!

Product & Review FAQ
Where can I purchase it? How much is it?
Bobbi Brown, $23.
Is it limited edition?
Yes.
Any dupes?
It's a bit darker than MAC Ultra Darling, more opaque than Chanel Coquette, pinker and darker than NARS Niagara, and not as bright as Chanel Genial.
Christine that looks gorgeous on you! I'm pretty fair skinned with blonde hair and green eyes so I don't know if it might be too bright for me, but based on the swatches and how it looks on you, I just called my favorite Bobbi Brown gal and ordered the lipstick, as well as all 3 dual ended eye liners, pretty much based on your recommendations! Now I can't WAIT to get my stuff and try it out!
I bought mine today (at the Bobbi Brown Studio store in New Jersey, too!) I love it, it's so pretty and goes on so well!
It looks so pretty on you, and besides it's called Party Alice, so it's the closer I'll probably ever get to have a lipstick with my name.
This reminds me of MAC Gem of Roses! That is my go to lipstick and it was LE so I might have to pick this up!
Lovely color! On my lips, that looks exactly like Mac Gem of Roses so I'll pass but otherwise, I'd totally buy it!!As always, looking great Christine!
It looks gorgeous on you, Christine! I'll have to try this out in person. It might be a touch too light for my NC40/42 skin.
I just nabbed it today while Christmas shopping, and I definitely have to recommend it as a great coral for us cool-toned girls. It's a little subtler and muted on my paler complexion but still quite flattering. Thank you so much for the recommendation! Fair warning to anybody wanting to try it, though - it's apparently selling out very quickly. The tube I bought today was the last one they had in stock at my Nordstrom's. :O
I bought this last week and I love it. On my pigmented lips there's no coral at all, it's a deep rose. But it's a warm rose which suits me and I love the formula. The name is cool too.
It's so 'Ohhhh C'mon babe, come to mama !!' X3 So pretty on you, Christine :3 I'm gonna get this ! [run through the doors straight to the shop at the speed of light] Ty for sharing <3
This is really pretty. It looks fantastic of you!! I'm looking for a warm pink frost lipstick, any suggestions? Thanks Christine! Stacy
