I’ve already been using one of these in the shade #11. They’re absolutely AMAZING. You can build up the color as much as you want, from a very light stain to HD color. The wear is impressive and the glossy finish is just as long lasting. It has such a light formula that you tend to forget that you’re wearing it, except for when you feel a light stickiness from the gloss. Last time I used it, it wore for six to seven hours straight for me, no re-application, and it looked as if I had just freshly applied it. I had lunch while wearing it, had some water and orange juice to accompany my meal and it was still there. I’m truly impressed with this product.
Also, the relationship between quality and price is great, too. I think I purchased mine for 20€, and I can see I’ll be having product for a looong time. The only bad thing that I find for it is that the formula smells like wine, and I hate that smell. I think they could’ve chosen another scent for it… If this wasn’t supposed to smell like wine, then I think it is something YSL should fix…
I’m in aus and I bought one at a counter last week?
Sephora have had them for a while too?
Is it new release colors?
wow, love the get my hands on one of those :O the promo pic with the model is amazing!
I usually never buy or use lip stains but I got this in no.18 and am quite liking it! It’s not so long-lasting on my lips as I imagined though. But very comfortable and I’m liking the pale pink color a lot.
I loved these when I tried them on at Sephora, but I was dismayed to discover that the formula features phthalates. It’s not DBP, but I don’t remember enough chemistry to know if the phthalates in this lipstick have the same health risks as DBP.
Phthalates? Are you kidding?! In a lip product? Wow, that’s surely a no-go, have to check this once again.
I love these!
Just a recommendation, when applying do not blot your lips together because it will make the gloss appear chunky, especially in the lighter shades that have more white in them.
Will have to make sure I try one shade. They sound fantastic! I’ve only bought 1 lipstick from YSL a long, long, time ago….
Do you know which shade is on the model? It’s gorgeous! Though I’m kind of skeptical of the staying power of the glossOpi feel like that would wear off and just leave a stain on your lips.
I was at a counter and the lady told me she was wearing #10 but that looked a little darker in person than the picture!
I have #9 (Rouge Laque) and it looks JUST like the one on the model – it is a bright warm red. I think it’s what she’s wearing. I think that shade is an online Sephora exclusive…(I ordered it)
Wow, the description on these looks really interesting, I’m really interested to see how they work in real life. But it’s a bit out of my price range for a lip product…
Although, if it works the way they say they do, one of these could be cheaper than using a lipstick and a gloss together…
Christine, will you be posting the swatches soon? I’ve already seen them in my local sephora but oddly, some of the colors kind of change and darken a bit when actually swatched on hands and lips.
I don’t have any, sorry!
I saw these at my Sephora about 2 weeks ago, the colors looked very pretty!
I, just, ordered one of these from the YSL website~!! I ordered No. 7: Corail Aquatique. I’ve heard SO many good things about them. 🙂
P.S. They normally cost $32.00, however if you type your e-mail in the “email sign up” box on the bottom of the page, then click submit; they will give you an automatic 10% discount on any order + free shipping~!! Mine cost me $30.53, after tax. 🙂
We already have them in Europe. Strange 🙂
All of these shades are really really pretty. It’s a hydrating stain, smooth and even. I wish it wears a bit longer…
This seems like such a unique product!
Bought #12, beautiful color but as one of the previous comments mentioned, the colors do change as the product settles into your skip. #12 started out as a rosy coral pink but settled on my skin as a rich red. I bought it basically for the settled color because I walked around Sephora for a bit with it on as opposed to the color it is advertised to be so I have no issues with it. But I’d definitely suggest trying out the shades first before you commit to see if the final result is actually what you had intended it to be.
Bought one so far based on rave reviews of lasting power. Fail for me. Lasted maybe 1 to 1/2 hours with no eating or drinking. That’s with 2 coats. Formula is Ok, not great, not bad. Tried it over several days. Still can’t get it to last for longer times like other people are experiencing. Very disappointing for the price.
I am happy to see this because of the rouge allure laque going out for Chanel <3 I hope they are as comparable!!!
I got #20 at Sephora 2 weeks ago and I LOVE it! Definitely want to snag a few more shades.
oooooh, i’ve been hearing about these for a while now and would love some Temptalia quality swatches and pictures!
seriously, this sounds amazing…I am definitely going to check these out in person
I got this a few weeks ago in #4, Mauve and was really looking forward to using it. I have to say though, it is a HUGE disappointment!! Firstly, the container felt almost empty and the formula is…..weird. Very dry and not comfortable on the lips at all. Also not loving the color, but that is a personal choice kind of thing I think. I am a big believer that you get what you pay for usually but this one falls far short!!! It’s not shiny at all….nothing at all like what they described. I would have taken it back if my daughter had not already snuck some!!!
Bought #9 Rouge Laque a few weeks ago, a very bright, warm candy apple red. I have 30+ red lipsticks, but nothing in a formula like this: sheer, but buildable, with a beautiful stained effect that lets your natural lip texture show through. Lasting power is great. Very much recommended.
Love them! They work as advertised. As long as I don’t eat very greasy/oily foods, they hold up very well.
I’m not usually a big gloss person, but seeing all these great reviews from everyone else makes me want to try one. 😀 I’ll have to grab one to try once my makeup hiatus is over. Rouge Enamel sounds promising!
I have three of these that I purchased from Sephora. I own #’s 5, 8 and 10. These are absolutely wonderful. Great texture, great staying power. LOVE.
Hi Christine, will you be reviewing these? I really want these, especially the reds but I seldom buy any makeup these days without seeing a review from you…. Please please please review these!!
…I bought n.16…I love it!!!…good product…lovely color!!!
Heard a lot of rave reviews of this so far, so I’m in…
Bought mine yesterday in No. 11 and wore it today. All I can say is WOW! Absolutely love it! The color lasts forever and I barely had to touch anything up after lunch or my 8+ hour work day. The trick in getting the stain to set properly is to NOT lick your lips before applying (according to my friend at YSL), let the stain sit for a few seconds, and no lip “smushing.” I did all this and perfection. Seriously considering buying more shades I’m so in love.
