conceal acne with a stick concealer rather than liquid concealer…it’s more drying and will help shrink the blemish
Nars radiant creamy concealer works great for me!
If it’s too bad, besides using foundation and then concealer I use a little chapstick or lip balm to give the skin a smoother appearance and then finish with powder.
I’ve always wanted to try stuff from michael todd!!
Best tip on concealing acne is to use a good primer, yellow based concealer, and a good stippling brusg . The combination of those three will blend the acne into your foundation so its near invisible!
I would say with foundation and some powder that has coverage as well. and some spot corrector.
When I get breakouts, I do my normal morning skincare routine (moisturize, prime, Smashbox Camera Ready BB cream) and then touch up any red spots with Makeup Forever’s HD concealer.. This stuff is amazing and completely gets rid of any trace of redness!
My best tip for concealing acne is to dab it on after applying liquid foundation and lightly blend with powder foundation to set.
I like to use LM secret camouflage for concealing acne spots. I use a pointed concealer brush and dab some concealer on acne spot, then dab again with finger and finish with loose powder to set.
entered Giveaway..:)
My best tip for acne is using a smoothing primer and then covering with a buildable foundation.
Make sure your concealer matches your foundation color!
To cover the red on a pimple I love to use green and yellow to help diffuse the pigmentation
I try to prevent my skin from breaking out at all. When it does I like to conceal redness by placing a cold brewed chamomile teabag on the affected areas for a few minutes. Then I use my regular concealer as usual to help cover the bumps by dabbing it on and blending the edges well.
Best tip to conceal acne is use concealer the shade of your skin tone and make sure to blot some powder on top of it so it stays all day!
My best Tip, is not to ‘over-conceal’ acne because I think the more you try to conceal the more you’ll see the acne
My best tip for concealing acne is to moisturize the area before using concealer.
Omg I reallyy reallyy wanted to try Michael Todd products, I even went on their website just yesterday to look at their products but I just coudnt afford it.. That would be just awesome to win and get a chance to use their products. All the review I read was positive! This giveaway is right in time when I literally recently got into search for them wow maybe its a sign anyway good luck to everyone!! Please enter me!
I don’t have a tip. I need to know the best way to conceal acne though. 😉 I just can’t get the huge ones concealed.
I really like the Vichy Dermablend range for when I have bad skin days with lots of spots.
Moisturizing really helps conceal acne so that you don’t get the dry skin around the edges.
i think using a camoflauge is helpful
I love MTTO! Thanks for the giveaway! I make sure to keep my face clean so I hopefully don’t have to worry about concealing acne. I remember to exfoliate, and if the pimple still comes, a little bit of concealer, blend the edges and I’m good to go!
I desperately need this.
Oh..I would love this gift set! ♥
I never been very good at covering my acne.
Would love to try this!
I like to use spot treatment on my acne with my myriad acne clay mask it reduces the redness and swelling for me then to conceal my acne I spot conceal ontop on my naked foundation with the same foundation for extra coverage 🙂
Oh boy do I love Michael Todd!
This is exciting! I’ve loved most of the products I’ve tried from them.
Put acne cream on the zit and let it seep into the skin. Use a small brush to conceal the zit with concealer.
Best tip for consealing acne has to be making sure to exfoliate and moisturize first. Concealer does not work well over flaky skin.
LOVE Michael Todd – Recently switched all of my skincare to this line
A green concealer is good for relieving redness, then a full coverage conealer like MAC Studio Fix
I actually avoid concealing my breakouts! I find that wearing makeup over my blemishes makes them look worse and they take longer to go away, haha.
I would love to be entered into the Michael Todd contest!
Try to drink a lot of water. This helps to flush your skin
My best tip for covering acne is making sure the area is moisturized (no flakes) and use a creamy concealer to cover (add coverage slowly – it’s always better to add more concealer than try to take it away)!
Thank you so much for the awesome giveaway! Looking forward for a chance to experience Michael Todd products!
The best tip to conceal acne is to use acne treatment such as salicylic acid underneath than cover with a creamy medium coverage concealer.
That eye-o sonic looks really good, just by itsself! =D
I guess I should put my best tip for concealing acne, heh. I honestly find that the less product you put on it, the better it looks. BUT if you’re needing multiple layers, make sure you “set” the product with powder after each layer.
I know this maybe contrary to what the question asked but I think it’s best to leave the pimple alone. The more stuff you put on it the longer it takes to heal.
I conceal with the MAC studio concealer. I like this concealer because it is thick to cover any blemishes or dark circles I have under my eyes. I have the concealer palette, which also includes correctors. I use the correctors first and then my concealer shade. I find that that is the best way for my to conceal! Finish with a powder for all day stay and you’re set!
For concealing acne and blemishes I pin-point conceal using a small pointed eyeliner brush and a high-coverage concealer.
My best tip for concealing acne, is to double cleanse (once to take off make-up, and again to cleanse the skin) and rinse with cool water.
wow! great giveaway! 🙂 I would love to try MTTO products for the first time!
I really do love Michael Todd skincare. It has drastically transformed my skin. The blue-green algae toner is my favorite.
I conceal acne with MAC pro long wear concealer! 😀 product sent from heaven! covers great and last really long!
LOVE LOVE LOVE Michael Todd Products, they are not rough on the skin
I want it!!!!!!!!!!
The best way to “conceal” is to use a skincare product that keeps acne at bay so you don’t have anything to conceal. Other than that, use a product (concealer, foundation, powder) that helps heal instead of clogging and making it worse.
The best thing I’ve found for concealing acne is Vichy Dermablend. Much easier to use than regular Dermablend, and covers like nothing else.
Always use a very mild exfoliator and good moisturizer over your skin to help stop it from becoming dry and flaky. That’s the hardest to cover up!
This looks great!
This looks amazing!!
My best tip on concealing acne is to find a thicker consistency concealer and to dab or pat it on, with a setting powder over it. I use concealer with acne medicine in it like Almay.
Love this giveaway !
I use concealer and some powder to cover my acne.
I’ve tried using yellow concealer then my usual concealer… it covers it up but as usual makeup doesn’t conceal texture… lol.
After I clean my face, I tone and use salicylic Acid everyday. If I start to feel the pimple., I use 10% benzoyl peroxide before bed.
Best way to conceal acne is exfoliate, moisturize, use foundation, then dab concealer on blemish and set with powder. If you want it to last all day, set with setting spray 🙂
My zits tend to get super red and a green color correcting concealer makes them disappear under even the thinnest concealer!
I just started using the Charcoal Wash and it is great, I would love to try more.
i heard that they have a great skin care range. and now some how i have lot’s of acne and i hope that i can win this..
I need this!
My routine for concealing acne is: making sure my skin is well moisturized first, applying a primer to smooth the skin, using my usual foundation followed by MUFE Full Coverage Concealer 🙂
Best tip is to get a wet qtip and freeze it then put it on the inflamed area to help bring the inflamation down then use a salicylic acid based concealer on the acne spot 🙂
This looks amazing!
Use a small stippling brush to pat in concealer.
Urban decay’s concealer!
Smashbox concealer-it is AMAZING!
You can use a cold spoon with visine on it and hold on the blemish. It will usually reduce the size and redness of the spot which is then easier to conceal.
I use a layer of loose translucent powder and concealer then setting spray. Hope I win! (:
I don’t necessarily have a tip, but the best concealer I’ve found based on a college friend’s recommendation was Mary Kay’s concealer. All it took to cover blemishes was a tiny amount patted on on the area and it was practically invisible. That was years ago and somewhere along the line I stopped using it. Recently I decided to give it a try again. The packaging has changed, maybe the formula too I’m not sure, but it still does a good job of concealing any issues I have.
The best tip I have is to use a high coverage concealer and foundation, I sometimes will dab abit of toothpaste on a pimple for like 10 minutes to help dry it out.
Thanks for the great giveaway. Hope I win!
Entering! Hope I win!
If I conceal I find my acne stands out more. The night before I put a good treatment and moisturizer so it won’t get dry. I put a little bit of a powder foundation lightly over it. Otherwise I just leave it alone 🙂
Use a thick foundation; like a creme style foundation, and a stick concealer that is from the same line so it matches perfectly!
I like to use a harder concealer, like a stick. The liquid ones always sink into the shape of the pimple too much
LEave it alone…let it heal
My skin loves the green algae toner already, so I’ve been eager to try more Michael Todd products. Thanks for this awesome giveaway!
Kat Von D foundation is a great tool for covering up bad breakouts
Best way to conceal acne for me is to use a yellowbased concealer, then some foundation and then my MAC Pro Longwear Concealer! Covers all and stays that way all day!
I love to conceal with MACs prolongwear concealor and a 286 brush. It’s phenom and will give you perfect texture and blend ability with any coverage you desire.
The best way I’ve found to conceal acne is to either put concealer on first, then go over with foundation, and to pat the the area with the brush instead of rubbing or swiping. I also use the Real Techniques deluxe crease brush for all concealing and it works wonders!
The way I conceal my pimples is simple, a layer of foundation, a layer of concealer then powder to set them, I use my Intense Classic Balm BB Cream, a Mary Kay concealer in a yellow shade and Rimmel Stay Matte Powder.
I find that trying too hard and adding too much to conceal acne actually accentuates it, so I say let it be and it will heal eventually.
My Best tip for concealing acne is to use a full coverage foundation as your spot conceal with a beauty blender to avoid looking cakey.
use an oilfree concealer
I don’t really have a tip for covering up acne, other than just let it breathe so it will go away faster
i usually use my kat von d foundation to conceal my acne it works wonders
I always wantet to try michael todd!!!
I’ve always wanted to try the Michael Todd Organics Skincare line, but just never new what to try. I’d love to win this. Thanks Christine!
I always wanted to try new skin care product.
and the red and blue light looks so freaking cool! 😀
I like to use my regular foundation with stippling brush, then concealer in similar shade, followed by powder. This helps a bit 🙂
I have used the Michael Todd exfoliating mask and I like it! Hope to win 🙂
Moisturize with a good gel-based moisturizer first before anything else, the acne will only be more notizeable if it’s dry and flaky. Then a good oil-free primer, and then use a yellow-based concealer to hide the redness from the acne/spot. Something a little more “hard” in texture is better than a liquid concealer. A neutral/yellow-based foundation can really help with the redness from acne, on the face.
My tips for covering acne would be not to over-conceal, best to use cream to powder concealer rather than liquid.
Dab some concealer (same color as skin tone) after putting foundation on
Use the very tiniest amount of a dry concealer and pat it in with a brush (love ELF’s precision concealer brush) so your hands don’t pull off product. Then spray it with setting spray and DO NOT TOUCH IT EVER.
I love to use the Laura Mercier secret camouflage which is a dual pan concealer that is oil free, which is very important when covering up the blemish. You can use the two colors to make the perfect color to hide your blemish. it is awesome!
I tend to just use some foundation and concealer to cover my acne (there’s no hope on days when it’s really bad though)
Concealer with mineral foundation to set.
make sure the area is clean.you can add a color corrector first such as green (cancels out red) then apply concealer in the spot, concentrating it to the area. then blend the edges gently. you might want to add powder to keep it in place. 🙂
Less is more! Don’t cake out on!
Ive heard so many good things from Michael Todd. I would love to try!
I really like the jojoba charcoal scrub that I received in an ipsy bag a few months ago. I would love to try other products from Michael Todd.
Laura Mercier secret camouflage!!
OMG.. Love love this awesome prize. Would so love to win this! The only thing I tried from Michael Todd was the Pumpkin Mask, that I got in my Ipsy bag! 🙂
To cover up acne – no matter how bad it may be, I say to leave it alone and to not cover it up. I personally use a spot treatment, but I just let it be.
If I have time I actually do a sheet mask (could be just toner + cotton pad) on the acne area to cool it down a bit and then give it some moisture and do my regular routine with foundation then liquid concealer, and press powder.
I am a huge fan of Michael Todd. After getting a sample in the August Ipsy bag, it’s the online skincare line I use anymore!
The Maybelline Age Rewind concealer for dark circles actually works really well in covering my blemishes!
The best concealer i’ve used is BareMinerals creamy concealer.
For red, shiny acne I use a stick concealer and lightly pat some powder on with my finger. For dry, flaky skin around acne, I make sure to lay on a generous portion of moisturizer before applying makeup to let it sink in a bit, and then lightly wiping off excess as it’s time to put on the concealing makeup.
I LOVE organic skincare products, but i’ve never heard of Michael Todd Organics Skincare! Love to try and review it for my followers. Really hope to winn it! Thumbs up <3
First thing, I use visine to help shrink the capillaries and reduce redness. I prefer to use Kett airbrush foundation dabbed with a small, pointed concealer brush. I like the Kett because it provides good coverage without looking cakey. I then add some powder (containing salicylic acid so I feel like I am also medicating it) to set. If all else fails, I grab my eyebrow pencil and color myself a new beauty mark! 😀
Use color correcting products (primer, concealer) they will help reduce redness!
i actually use a few of their products and really like them. I highly recommend the fruit scrub and the pumpkin mask.
Tea tree oil to relieve the swelling, and your favorite concealer to hide the redness.
My tip on concealing acne: use a thin layer of “luminous” or “reflective” or “diffusing” concealer all over a raised blemish and buff the edges into your base (foundation, your natural skin, etc). Take a matte, skin tone, fuller coverage concealer and pinpoint conceal the most raised and red parts of the blemish. Then carefully tap the matte concealer into the luminous concealer until their is no detectable edge. This should mask the redness and minimize the shadow that the blemish casts, hopefully evening out the texture.
would LOVE to win this. thanks, Christine!
I’ve had moderate to severe acne for 10 years, and my best tip for covering spots is light layering of products! I start with a really thin layer of liquid foundation.. add another thin layer if my skin is extra bad that day. Then a light layer of a mineral powder foundation. This helps me from looking too cakey. And I have always avoided concealer… it has never worked for me!
To conceal acne, I always try to use the same steps: first I start out with a good moisturizer, concentrating a little more on the area of trouble so it doesn’t flake up and look dry, then I use a full coverage concealer to help diminish any redness, and finally set it with a powder so it stays put!
Best tip would be to conceal red acne with green tinted concealer.
liquid concealer set with powder is the best way for me to conceal acne! setting it with powder makes it last all day.
kill bacteria with hydrogen peroxide on blemish and the use makeup forever concealer to conceal the spot.
I press the concealer into the blemish letting the warmth of my fingertip melt the concealer into my ski
I want more Michael Todd stuff. Love it!
I do a tiny bit of pinpoint concealing just on the top of the blemish and don’t blend it out, instead patting foundation over it. That’s the best method I’ve found.
As long as you dab a concealer that matches you well, it’ll look natural. like don’t cake on concealer and blend it in!
Lightening up on the face makeup and religiously using quality skincare 🙂
I would use a spot corrector.
I use my NARS creamy concealor, it’s the best! A creamy is best for my dry skin!
Make sure your skin is well moisturized and I use a think concealer and a small concealer brush to be precise
Thank you 🙂
Acne spot treatment, then concealer, then powder…
Would love to finally try Michael Todd!
First I put on a green concealer to cover up the redness and then I pinpoint conceal with a concealer matching my natural skin color.
Awww, I was so hoping I could enter 😉 Bummer. Good luck everyone!
Great giveaway. Michael Todd true organics products are amazing
I like to use a green concealer or primer to get rid of the redness. Then I dab concealer on the blemish with my finger. It blends in better with my finger than a brush.then use a lighter concealer around the blemish to kind of hide the shadow
Ice is always helpful to minimize blemishes. And a thick concealer topped with setting powder to cover it!
Luckily, I’m past the acne concealing stage, for the most part. (This is why I am eyeing the eye products!) But make sure there are no flakes, and then however you conceal, don’t touch it!
I always mix my concealer with a bit of toothpaste to dry it out while I’m wearing it and cover up.
The only tip I know is concealer!
After lotion and foundation, I dab with a green-tinted concealer, let it dry a little, and then stipple powder to blend in and set.
Best way for me to conceal acne or red spots is to use a green based concealer and dab it and then apply a full coverage foundation in ur color and redness is gone and acne is invisible. Works great for me
My best tip for concealing acne is to treat it, and take care of your skin! I’d rather have well taken care of skin than to have to conceal every bump, spot, issue, etc… I used to have acne, and the clarisonic changed my life & my skin completely!!! Also, stay hydrated!
I’ve dealt with this most of my life. I use a tiny brush loaded with concealer from a stick or pencil, then dust Bare Minerals Bisque on top. I set with a mist of water or Skindinavia spray.
The best trick to conceal acne for me is to use a really pigmented concealer
I love a few Michael Todd products already, but I’d love to try the B-light treatment or eye sonic! Their products are amazing.
I always loved your blog. Giveaways are a big bonus!
I love Michael Todd products! I just learned about them through ipsy.
Always set whatever concealer you use on your blemish.
I’m never able to find a concealer that’s matches my foundation. So I try to cover with the foundation as much as I can.
Thank you for the giveaway, have wanted to try this brand since so long.
My best tip on concealing acne is to not go overboard on concealer, and to not pick at/pop pimples. When you pop pimples, it usually gets scabby, creating texture which is not really covered up with concealer. Also, piling on tons of concealer looks obvious as well, and can make it obvious that you were trying to cover something up.
Would love to try the light! Heard awesome reviews on it!
Wow, great giveaway! I have never tried Michael Todd products.
I am so pumped for this giveaway, Michael Todd is on my list of skincare to try.
I’ve been using the neutrogena rapid clear cleanser/mask for my acne, it prevents breakouts 😀 no new breakouts for me but doesn’t get rid of the whiteheads, but now I don’t have to worry about getting pitted scars because I don’t have pimples anymore, which is good
I think the best way to conceal acne is by using a great clear primer for the face, whether you’re a man or woman. I think the primer will fill in some of the scar area, minimizing the look. And I think that using powder of any kind should always be avoided.

What I use to cover my acne dark spots is a peach /orange colored concelar buff that into my skin then go over top with my regular concelar and then put on my foundation and my dark spots are completly covered.
I would love to try out Michael Todd products!
I conceal acne spots with Kat Von d concealer. I use a pin point concealer brush and spot the full coverage concealer onto the belmish.
For about 2-3 months, I’ve been using the Michael Todd True Organics acne line and I have seen a huge difference. I actually have very few breakouts (not even during that time of the month) and it has even helped diminish fine lines and it has just overall given me younger looking skin. The way I used to conceal my acne before using MTTO was just using concealer before and sometimes after applying my foundation with a concealer matching my skin. Everyone should give this line a shot. It is absolutely amazing! I would love to win that Acne Bi-light! Good luck to all!
I use primer, Maybelline Fit me concealer, and then Rimmel Stay Matte Powder to set the concealer.
Mac full coverage foundation applied with a flat top brush is my go to for covering acne.
I like the Murad acne treatment concealer for concealing pimples.
Dab…don’t rub!
My best tip for concealing acne or a blemish is using enough powder, but don’t overdo it. Everything that’s shiny looks more visible, mattifying pushes things back and flattens the blemish. And if it’s a sore, crusty (iew!) blemish, don’t bother piling the concealer on because it will actually make it look a lot worse.
What a great prize! Thank you!
The best way that I’ve found to conceal acne is to first use a green-tinted corrector to diminish redness, and then top it with a creamy concealer. There’s nothing that looks worse than a zit that is visibly caked with makeup and/or powder.
I’ve always wanted to try their stuff!
I wish to win this 🙂
Concealer
Moisturize or exfoliate to get rid of any flakes before you apply concealer.
Have tried the Knu serum and really liked it! Would love to win this giveaway!!!
i used cruelty free concealer like tarte concealer to cover up acne or any blemishes. Go natural. Go cruelty free!
I’ve never tried Michael Todd products before! Fingers crossed I win! (:
Also thank you for this giveaway (:
Also for concealing acne, I always make sure the area is clean and exfoliated before putting any makeup on it. Then I put my primer and foundation and that usually conceals most of my acne. For those stubborn ones that still peek through even after that, I follow up with my concealer and pats that on and it conceals the stubborns. (:
I always recommend just a bit of concealer.
Would love to try Michael Todd products.
Heard great things about Michael Todd, would love to give some of their products a try!
I would love to win this. Gotta love Michael Todd!
Studio finish Concealer !
I would love to try this!
I’ve only heard good thing about this line. I plan on purchasing even if I don’t win.
love the giveaway!
Still looking for a perfect concealer, laura mercier secret concealer is close, but a thicker primer really helps hide the texture difference.
My best tip to hide acne is to have a true green concealer and lilac hand! They can disguise the redness caused by the infection if it is an emergency! For natural is let her breathe and not choke her even more! 😉
Would love to win 🙂
oh I really wanna try that eye thingie
I have been wanting to try Michael Todd for a while now but haven’t because it’s a little more money than I’m willing to pay..but maybe one day.
One of the most important things that I have come to realize is that even with breakouts and even though I have oily skin at times, it is absolutely necessary to moisturize.
Layer concealer, setting it with powder in between layers, until you achieve the amount of coverage you want.
I always make sure my concealer is an exact match for my skintone and like to set everything with powder. Sensual Skin Enhancer is my favorite concealing product.
i skip concealer because it just cakes and draws attention to the breakout. a thin layer of foundation is best!
i really need this!
Conceal lightly, then set with powder. Don’t cake it on or it will look fake and flaky!
Y used tea tree oil for acne 🙂
green primer!!
To conceal acne I like to use a foundation with medium coverage and then apply Benefit Boi-ing concealer over the acne and blend with my fingers. And set with a skin toned loose powder
Cover acne with Mac pro concealer and powder
Thanks for giveaway! I really want to try this brand. I like to use eye cream and then concealer with a little bit of translucent powder to set.
Moisturizer + Kat Von D Tattoo Concealer
I’ve been loving the Kat Von D Lock It concealer applied with a Beauty Blender to cover breakouts, they’re an awesome combo!
My best tip is to lightly pat the concealer vs. brushing it on!
would love to try!
I honestly think: don’t cover it up! It just makes it worse, in my opinion. Let it breathe for a day or two as much as it kills you and it’ll disappear MUCH faster! I’m talking 2 days verses a week and a half people! I also like to add more steps to my skincare regime- like a clarifying mask or scrub- pure bliss!
Good luck!
I got the pumpkin scrub in my Ipsy bag and loved it. Best tip for concealing acne is a good buildable foundation.
This Micheal Todd’s skincare set looks amazing! Crossing my fingers and hope to win something!
Thanks for this giveaway! The best way to conceal is to prevent.
Best trick to conceal acne: For me, using a good primer, then a thin, yet highly pigmented concealer, and using a mineral powder foundation. Fortunately, I don’t have breakouts very often anymore, but used to have a terrible time!
A great primer is a definite must, as well as a really pigmented or color correcting concealer.
Would LOVE to be able to try Michael Todd Cosmetics out! I’ve heard so much about it from all the YouTube guru’s
Bobbi brown concealer
I am really intrigued by this line!
I love michael todd true organics! My favorite way to conceal acne is to put tea tree oil on it and then use my clinique concealer over it!! Cured in a day or two!
I just use my full coverage foundation and the airbrush brush #55 (i think) from sephora and my blemishes cover really well and then set with powder. i try using concealers, even a full coverage one, but when using my fingers to blend blends around it rather than actually covering the blemish, so i rather rely on my foundation and apply more if necessary to the problem areas
Patting the concealer on so you can be sure you’re setting it!
I like to use my Sonia Kashuk concealer 4 palette with a tiny concealer brush. Dab it on blemish and pat a few time with finger. Then set with translucent powder.
Best trick for concealing acne is vichy dermablend and a small concealer brush.
exfoliate! my biggest pet peeve when it comes to concealer or foundation is the product clinging on and accentuating the dry skin around the acne. It just screams I-tried-to-cover-this-but-obviously-I-was-not-successful
To conceal acne, I apply spot treatment before applying concealer.
Concealer and powder!
I like to conceal acne using the beauty blender sponge and stippling it.
It’s something that I still struggle with. Usually I use a light weight foundation and then a creamy concealer
I have heard so many amazing things about this brand!!
I just try to use a good, long wearing concealer!
My best acne concealing tip is to use a green concealer on stubborn red spots!
A good cream/stick concealer, and setting it lightly with powder or setting spray.
I LOVE Michael Todd True Organics! I’ve noticed that I hardly have to conceal any acne when I use their products regularly, but my best tip is to use a yellow-toned powder lightly to off-set redness in the face!
I’m not that great at concealing acne. I’ve been dealing with a breakout for a long time now.
I use a creamy, full-coverage concealer for my blemishes, not a liquid one.
I use a small brush to apply the concealer, then pat with my fingers to blend the edges.
Patting seems to work better than just brushing on the concealer.
I absolutely love the revlon colorstay concealer for covering acne, it obviously doesn’t cover the bumps but it covers the redness perfectly! For me it works even better than the Nars creamy concealer
Use a correcting pencil (green or pink) underneath your concealers, and also use powder over top!
I use Mac fast response eye creme, bb cream, then foundation over it and some finishing powder.
My best tip for concealing acne is to conceal in thin, multiple layers. It avoids cakiness!
Love the idea of participate to win one of the awesome prizes by Michael Tood Organics because if lucky enough, my skin could benefit tons just in time! Always is best to be optimistic 🙂
Lots of concealer but then blend, blend, and blend even more :).
I use Urban Decay pencil concealer and then set it with the NYC powder! ;D
I’ve been dying to try his products!
and my only tip for covering acne is a full coverage foundation with a full coverage concealer! 🙂
Very high coverage concealer set with powder to hide serious spots.
My preferred way is to use a corrector followed by a creamy concealer (bobbi brown works for me) with a small fluffy brush like MAC 217….
I’d love to try Michael Todd skincare so much, but I can’t get hold of it in the UK:( It looks so pretty!!
i use good old fashion almay salicylic acid concealer! i need to make sure that it has some kind of anti-acne medicine in it or my pores get crazy clogged.
Great giveaway 🙂 I hear great things about this brand.
I don’t have acne but I use a glycolic cleanser.
I love Michael Todd skincare, it’s my HG line :)!
Put on foundation like normal but then cover the blemishes with a beauty blender and Boing concealer!
i would love to win this!!!
Set your concealer with powder to make it last longer.
My best trick is to use a fine tip art brush and 2 different concealers, a creamy one and a thicker one for maximum coverage.
I’ve been wanting to try the line but it really out of budget for me. >_<
Great giveaway as always! Good luck everyone~!
I love the Michael Todd Blue-green algae toner – it smells so nice and leaves my skin smooth and supple
I LOVE Micheal Todd. I wish that there was a way to enter the contest for just the third place price, though, as I do not need the acne-fighting products.
Use a stick concealer to go over the acne and gently pat with your ring finger to blend.
My tip is to always use a primer first before you put on concealer after you’ve concealed use a matte setting powder, and you done.
The best way for me to conceal is using a cream concealer after my foundation. I have a lot of acne and acne scarring. I put the foundation first because i want to see how much the foundation will cover and then put concealer and powder
I love natural products, and only just discovered Michael Todd True Organics via a scrub sample in my Ipsy glam bag, but I love it! I also use Burt’s Bees willowbark spot treatment when I feel a zitty coming on 🙂
Don’t over do it some times just lightening the spot with make it disappear rather than trying to make it completely invisible by caking on the concealer.
i would lovvvvvveeee to win this!!
I still need to perfect how to best conceal acne so I’m going through all these comments! I’m prone to hyperpigmentation & scarring so I like using Makeup Forever Full Coverage concealer (I wear shade 12) on acne scars. It’s buildable & waterproof which I love!
I’ve been dying to try their products!
When concealing a new or healing acne spot, I cleanse/exfoliate with a mixture of raw honey and baking soda. Then I moisturize and put on Maybelline Fit Me Concealer. I’ve tried several concealers, including The Balm’s Tea Tree Concealer, and it’s the best one that covers and doesn’t break me out or aggravate the current acne spot.
Thank you for holding this contest, I love Michael Todd True Organics! My first order they sent a full-size body scrub for free, I didn’t have a promotional code or anything, it was great.
I’ve been DYING to try some Michael Todd goodness! would love to receive this 🙂 thanks so much for the giveaway. xx
I just started trying the Mario badescu buffering lotion for my hormonal acne. seems to be working! I pat on concealor and powder after that. would love to try Michael Todd’s organic line.
Use a thicker concealer, because it tends to stay better! And cover more!
I never really have to cover acne. I would say use a pot type concealer (skin toned & yellow based) vs a wand concealer. They tend to be heavier than the creamy ones in the tubes. Blend well, then set with skin colored powder.
Omg I reallyy want to try Michael Todd products!
I’d love to win!
I usually conceal my acne by putting some acne cream on before putting on my foundation. Sometimes I’ll use a Concealer.
Foundation, a lighter NXY HD concealer for under my eyes, MAC concealer pot for my blemishes and powder!
Acne concealing is hard for me. I generally use a super pigmented concealer, but they never last!
<3
The best way to conceal acne is to use concealer. My personal favorite is by Physicians Formula. It is a 2 in 1 corrector and cover cream concealer. I love the green side because it hides the redness.
just ordered this about a month ago – am loving the product
My best ti on concealing acne is definitely that less is more when trying to cover spots. Use thin layers of foundation and concealer to cover spots. If you cake it on it’s only going to cover discoloration and make the area draw more attention.
layer on a matte green eyeshadow until redness is gone and its a little green, then use concealer on top! make it stay with a setting or foundation powder.
I had received an email but didn’t have the funds to purchase it when it was first released. I’ve been very interested in trying light treatments especially because I have a lot of hormonal break outs
Less is more.
Best tips I have are make sure to moisturizer or use lip balm to smooth the zit a little. I spray skindinavia setting spray on a brush and pat it on the zit spot then apply a a cream concealer like bobbi brown or dermablend. i set with powder and then spray more skindinavia so it lasts all day BUT the most important thing is make sure whatever concealer and powder you’re using matches your foundation and spot concealer after foundation.
To conceal my acne I use a cc cream to help even out the redness on my face, dap concealer right on top of the pimples then lightly set with a powder.
Best tip to conceal acne such as mine which is not severe is to use a high pigmented concealer such as Laura Mercier’s camouflage at the exact same colour as the skin tone topically
my best tip on concealing acne is concealing with a powder foundation as creams/liquids tend to slide off.
thank you
dani ♥
Cover FX is pretty fantastic. I just use the foundation as a concealer so that I get more bang for my buck. Pat it in with a Beauty Blender, of course! And set it with something that reflects light to diffuse the definition of the zit.
I don’t ever put anything drying on blemishes in the morning, the dry, flaky texture will only make the concealer more obvious. I save spot creams for the evening and use something hydrating in the morning – and then, conceal away!
Moisturize VERYYYYY well to avoid possible dry patches. A pad with toner placed on your spots for over 5 minutes or so will do the trick.
If my acnes particularly bad, I make sure to use a full coverage foundation like Kat Von Ds Lock It! I find I use a lot less products that way and don’t have to layer tons of concealer on that will make me break out more.
The best thing for problem skin is to keep your skincare routine simple.
My best tips for concealing acne are:
1. Don’t pick! There is nothing harder to cover than broken skin.
2. Apply your concealer, then let it set for a few seconds before blending. This helps it to stay opaque!
3. Use a powder puff to apply powder on the acne instead of a brush – a brush tends to sweep away the product.
I find that concealer usually looks too obvious for covering acne. Instead, I dot on more foundation for heavier coverage.
I use shu uemura’s spot treatment underneath concealer!
Mac studio fix fluid 🙂
Ive always wanted to try Michael Todd!
Heard a lot of great things about this line so what better way to try than by winning a bunch of free stuff?!
I conceal my acne with a small brush on the concealer part of Benefit’s Fake Up!
Make sure skin is moisturized first. If using a liquid foundation, apply foundation first in a light layer, then apply concealer, followed by a matte powder.
yellow based concealer works great! Nars is my holy grail!
The bear way to conceal is prevention. (~_~)/ be gentle with your skin and give it the nourishment it needs with good products. (.;
Use a color corrector and then concealer (I like bobbi browns)
for concealing my blemishes— i try to not put my foundation on that portion of my face and just do concealer and then use my hourglass powder to difuse the area
I really want the light!! Ahh!
I don’t really know how to conceal spots. Anything I try usually just makes them look worse!
using a good color!
I dab lighter color concealer on the acne area (or green color corrector if the acne is kinda reddish looking) before i put on foundation then set it with powder foundation.
I love Michael Todd products!
Thanks for this giveaway 🙂
I use a brush and stipple concealer or foundation like a painting.
Primers have a silicone base that helps fill in lines and evens out the surface texture of the skin. It makes your makeup stay on longer and stay true to its actual color, so it does help cover up acne.
Use a stick concealer after you apply your foundation just on the necessary areas.
If the acne area is very dry I will apply a small amount of aquaphor on the spot before conceal and covering.
I’ve never used anything from this line before. But that bilight looks trippy
I like a thick concealer & a stiff concealer brush!
Using BB cream lightly with oil free lotion works for me!
After washing my face, I apply visine (if there is redness), then apply moisturizer, liquid foundation, dab concealer until blended enough, then gently pat the area with a powder foundation to set. Thank you for the opportunity!
I would have to say each and every tip is my fav. because lets face it girls, if you are beautiful the tips will only enhance what gorgeousness is already there and if you tend to have a few more flaws than others (like myself) 🙂 each and every tip can only help to bring out those beautiful features that seem so deeply hidden.
the best way to conceal acne is to NOT TOUCH! If you pick at skin, it will become more inflamed, red, painful, and difficult to cover with concealer or foundation
This is such an awesome opportunity. Good luck to everyone (especially me!).
Also the way I conceal acne is with Sonia Kashuk concealer.
Thank you so much!
Make sure to exfoliate when you wash your face to get rid of dead skin, then moisturize before you apply your foundation. Lightly pat on concealer with your finger and set with powder to keep it set all day.
I’ve seen really good reviews about Michael Todd skincare. I’d love to give it a try.
conceal acne with a cream concealer always works for me. If concealing fails, I put Queen Helene’s mask on blemishes before sleep and the next day, they’ll shrink or dry out a little. 🙂
I always apply my concealer after foundation, that way I don’t smudge or rub away my concealer when applying. Also setting power is important!
Apply a dab of tea tree oil, then cover with concealer.
Using a primer makes it so much easier to conceal acne! Also, I find using a good full-coverage foundation looks so much better and less cakey than using concealer on spots.
I use a primer first then a full coverage foundation.
My tip is to call in sick until it goes away!
My Best tip for concealing acne would be to use a full coverage that is very cream, hydrating and is the same color as your skin tone to avoid drawing attention to your pimples/zits.
I use my eyeshadow base prior to concealer for long-lasting coverage.

loreal true match concealer <3
Looks like a great new tool to add to my regimen. Hope I win!!!
To cover up acne or blemishes, the key is to use multiple products but only a little of each product. This is much more effective in concealing rather than caking on one product.
I use green concealer on any redness and peach concealer on the dark marks under my eyes. Other than that I just try to keep my skin clean and well moisturized. It seems to do the trick.
Im very lucky I have never had really any acne but I know to not pick at it, or irritate it and use the best creamiest concealer that matches your foundation! Use a smooth, non cakey powder!
I use my Eve Pearl concealer..its wonderful.
I’ve always been really curious to try his products. I’ve seen plenty of gurus rave about his cleansers and toners. It’d be nice to try it, I feel as if my skin would become much better after using his products.
My best tip for concealing acne is to go with a full coverage foundation that will most likely cover acne spots and darkness under the eyes. If it’s summer, full coverage can be a bit heavy so i usually opt for stick concealer under my foundation and highlighting powder on top!
I use concealer
Use foundation first for a thin even layer, then spot conceal acne with your favorite concealer (it wont look so cakey if you don’t create a foundation mask).
Also, don’t wear face makeup all the time. When you can, let your skin breathe.
Use a right color BB Cream then dab on the acne until blended perfectly.
Use a concealer with salicylic acid in it 🙂
I use my Lorac concealer to cover up.
I dab on a little tea tree oil, then use a high coverage stick concealer, applied with a small brush like a liner brush.
Before I go to bed I immediately applied with benzoyl peroxide the by the next morning I usually apply it with almay clear complexion foundation, I dabbed it first then let that set for a while. After that using a flat foundation brush I stipple it then add a little concealer on then apply it with a setting powder.
use a tiny brush to conceal pinpointed acne with a more creamy concealer, try doing this before applying makeup. Concealer can be even a shade darker than usual makeup (as it needs to cover a different shade of skin…). Wait a few minutes and then apply makeup. Overall look will be less heavy and less noticeable.
I use stick concealer to cover acne.
i use apple cider vinegar as a tonic after i wash my face, it helps to dry up the acne. also use pink pepto bismal to help with clearing up acne and helps get rid of flaky skin, use as a mask, lt dry
My biggest tip for concealing acne is to NOT pick at it and apply a dab of lighter concealer on top.
Well- blended foundation and powder is my tried and true method for covering up the pepperoni that lives on my face.
My best tip I suppose would be the concealer I use. I have had acne my whole life, but for quite a long time I thought wearing a thick, heavy foundation was the only way to cover it up, which I hated to do. So usually I just didn’t wear anything, but was always self conscious. Then, on a friends recommendation, I went to the Laura Mercier makeup counter at a local Nordstroms. They applied a variety of products, one being their “Secret Camouflage” product for spot concealing. I was so blown away by it, I swore it was some kind of magic! It wears well, blends effortlessly, and covers blemishes completely. It truly (to me) appears like they have totally disappeared! Once I found this product I have tried a couple of other similar items over the years, but I always go back to Laura Mercier, for my particular skin, it is by far the best product I have ever found for my skin!
My best tip for concealing acne is not to over do it. A little concealer underneath the acne with a brush helps a lot by getting rid of the shadow.
awesome!
I hope I win
I wish I had tips! That’s why I read beauty blogs!
I don’t really have a tip for concealing acne, I still have trouble with that myself, but one thing that does help sometimes is to put a dab of a clay mask (or I like to use Queen Helene Mint Julep mask) just on the acne spot and leave it there overnight. Usually by the time I get up the spot has either gone down in size or has collected just on the surface (in which case can then be easily expressed).
Thanks so much for having this giveaway! 🙂
make sure the area is moisturized a few minutes before you conceal it! use a primer to create a smooth canvas and dab the concealer lightly as you build it up slowly
i don’t usually wear foundation on a daily basis–just powder and concealer, so in places where it’s really bad, i’ll use a full-coverage foundation and set it with powder.
Simple tip – everyone knows it: concealer with a dab of powder to help set it. Sometimes I like to get fancy and use something in a green tint to neutralize the redness. 🙂
My BEST tip for concealing acne is to conceal, use 2 LIGHT layers of foundation (buffing it in), and then use powder 🙂
I conceal by patting down the concealer with my ring finger and I make sure to moisturize the area before I apply concealer, so the blemish won’t be flaky and draw attention to it. I use Bobby Brown Creamy Concealer Kit or Stila Perfecting Concealer.
