I think what flatters red lipstick the most is fair, porcelain-like skin. Since I don’t have fair skin, I try to do my base make up as simply as possible so that my red lipstick can stand out. Just to give a healthy glow, I’d match Prolong Lipcreme with MAC Venomous Villains Her Own devices. I just bought it a few days ago and I absolutely fell in love with it within a few days. Its color doesn’t show too much on my skin, but it gives a very nice subtle glow to my cheeks.

I’d pair it with a really neutral blush since it’s such a bold colored lipstick, or maybe even a beauty powder; yes I’d use MAC’s Oh So Fair beauty powder!

Prolong is such a bright red lipstick. I would probably pair it with a very subtle peachy golden blush like Springsheen. Or I would just skip it altogether and use Nars Laguna Bronzer as a light contour.

I would pair every one of these lipcremes with a more natural blush. Since these lipcremes are vibrant, I would go with Josie Marans cream blush in the shade of Sun-Kissed. Its a gorgeous color. I’d describe it as a pink with a lot of brown shimmery undertones. Natural, but noticeable at the same time! I think it would look gorgeous with all four.
