Winters in NYC are kind of flip flop. One day its below freezing and the next day its 55 degrees — I never know how to dress! The way I keep warm in the winter is layers. I wear tons of layers too keep warm, and if it gets to warm, I’ll remove a cardigan or my scarf!

I spent a lot of time standing on my floor registers! And I have a heated mattress pad, which I use along with flannel sheets. When I’m so cold that even that doesn’t work, I sip a hot chocolate with a little bit of Bailey’s Irish Cream and peppermint schnapps.

Wearing a thermal shirt under all of my tops, a pair of sock and curling up under a throw with a hot mug of tea or apple cider is how I like to stay warm. There is nothing more perfect than that on a colder winter’s day. As for how to keep warm outdoors, I’ve yet to find a way. 😉

Winter is pretty much the same as summer when you live on a Caribbean island. I don’t have to struggle to keep warm. I do love winter, though. I was born on a snowy December day in Georgia and have always appreciated the chilly winter months. Two words: sweaters and hot chocolate.
I stay warm in the winter by wearing 3 layers of clothing.
I keep warm this winter by drinking tons of coffee 🙂 and wearing my favorite jacket 🙂

Well, I snuggle up with my real bunny, Pepe. He’s not really like most rabbits, he jumps up in bed with me and likes to sleep next to me. Moving to NY from SF – CA 4 yrs ago was a big change in terms of adjusting cold weather. To adjust to the new temperatures in winter, I wear ugg boots, wool sweaters and coats, cashmere gloves, scarf and a hat and a cup of Starbucks pumpkin spice latte 🙂

Well when I’m outside I stay warm by putting on my leggings or my fave PINK sweats and a long sleeve tshirt with either my black or brown uggs. If staying indoors, I turn up the heater and cover up and watch movies while sipping on either hot cocoa or hot tea with honey.

we don’t have a freezing winter in san diego but sometimes it can be really cold and nights are usually pretty chilly. i keep warm with boots, sweaters, warm coats, hot drinks especially coffee and my boyfriend :)) But grew up in a snowy country and i was definitely a snow bunny! i missed being a snow bunny but i like being sun bunny here, too 😛

I come from the caribbean and had to learn how to dress propperly in the cold weather. Ironically I can tolerate very cold temperatures without really feeling cold, can´t stand cashmere because makes me sweat….but wearing too light clothes in the winter can make you sick…several sore throats, one time bronchitis….so, lesson learned: LAYERS, you can take the light jacket or cardigan off if it turns too warm. SCARF: always use a scarf, keep your neck warm!
BOOTS: Pumps are cute but this is not the best time to wear them, at least not when it is really cold, having cold feet is like an invitation for a flu. Now I look cools ´cause I have my scarft always on, I ´m not trying to be chic…..just my throat is my weak point in the winter.
I go outside and run. I love to get outside and run in the cold weather – it warms me up in no time. Makeup enhances my looks, but working out enhances my body. I love Fall and Winter. 🙂

anywhoo, i cant stand the cold so i do a number of things to keep warm when i’m at work. tights under socks under knee high boots. then, a thermal long sleeve shirt under my short sleeve shirt under a hugeee unattractive hoodie under my spyder jacket. i just picked up knitting so i’ll get to make myself endless amounts of cute gloves and scarves to go with my horrendous oversized hoodie, hehe.
homemade hot chocolate or a nice warm pumpkin-spiced latte from dunkin donuts does the trick, too.. mmmm
also, when all else is failing, simple things like letting my hair down, doing stretches, rubbing my ear lobes, and keeping busy help me to feel a bit warmer.

I wear hats like nobody’s business. I have numerous winter hats, beanies, ear flaps, slouchy hats. I even tend to wear them in the summer just for fun but they’re actually practical in the winter to keep me warm. =D
My hubby is what keeps me warm for the second season ^.^ also hot chocolate and a warm blanket are a close second and third and I am so getting those socks with the rubber soles for around the house, I miss wearing those =P

This isn’t how i still do it but when i was in college we didn’t have heat in one building i lived in so we would have seances to keep warm, all those lit candles and a room crammed with giggling, screaming girls really got things toasty! lol

When I’m in Houston (my hometown), it can sometimes mean the sun does the winter warming for us and then it’s out with the flip flops and shorts! When I went to school in New York, it was all about layers and every winter accessory possible (scarf, mittens, earmuffs, leg warmers, boots, the whole shabang). Of course, I would most prefer just cozying up under my down comforter all day 🙂

I keep warm by wearing thick socks, coats/sweaters and gloves.
Indoors I wear velour or fleece sweats, slipper socks, and snuggle up with an electric throw blanket. I light lots of cozy scented candles, it makes it seem warmer and it’s as close to a fireplace as I can get in my apartment! Outside I wear my faux fur lined suede jacket, it’s so warm! I also wear gloves since my hands get so cold. I always bring with me either a cup of homemade caramel apple cider or get a Peppermint Mocha Latte at Starbucks. Yum!
I don’t need to do anything to keep warm in the winter. I live in a tropical paradise. I can wear t-shirt and shorts.
In California it never snows so I basically stick to one rule, cute rainboots! Wearing layers also helps and definitely a scarf.
I stay warm by drinking hot liquids and cuddling with my sweetheart!

When i’m at home, i keep warm in the winter by drinking hot cocoa or coffee and i never do anything without my fleece blanket around me. It’s so warm!
My husband, my dog and I get out in the cold and go for a walk. It warms ya up quick! My newest addiction besides makeup is working out. I guess I’m trying to balance out an unhealthy addiction with a healthy one!

I love winter! the easiest way to keep warm is wearing a nice wool coat and a hat! Never forget the hat!
i’m keeping myself warm with my uggs & my knitted scarfs. i have lots & lots of them to match almost every outfit.
Without a doubt, I would freeze to death without my heated mattress pad. In combination with my faux-fur leopard blanket I can survive until the snow melts, which where I live can be as late as May!
I keep warm a number of ways, depending on where I am and what I am doing. In my home, I sip on a lot of hot cocoa (loaded with marshmallows and a big blop of whipped cream..yummm) I snuggle up with my husband in the evenings. If I am going out, I have a few different coats that are warmly lined. I love wearing boots, heeled or flat. I also love those little hats that have the tassles by the ears, lol..they’re cute
I keep warm by wearing multiple layers. Thick clothes and sweaters don’t necessarily make people warm. However, if we wear multiple layers of different material/fabric, it’s most efficient.
Also, wearing scarf/gloves is good too.
I keep warm by having a big mug of hot chocolate! YUM YUM! It’s tasty and keeps me nice and toasty. I also love white hot chocolate, or hot chocolate with whipped cream drizzled with caramel sauce =3.
How do I keep warm in the winter? I eat a lot of chili peppers! I guess I’m always a fan of spicy food, but come winter I crave it even more. Needless to say my boyfriend thinks I’m a loon, but it seems to work for me!

Ugg slippers are a lifesaver! Slipper socks, fleece blankets, and most importantly, a bed heater. Those will do the trick 🙂

It gets super cold here in the woods of Connecticut. I have several warm scarves and a couple of heavy coats. Indoors I have a super plush Victoria’s Secret robe…it feels so good to put it on in the morning…except my husband calls me “Nanook of the North”…funny guy, lol!!

Hahaha…good question. I get really cold because i have so little heat retention ability. During my school days i used to wear leggings under two pairs of pants (yes real pants or jeans and i got away with it because i was and still am really skinny). I would strip off one pair of pants when i got to school if it got too hot. These days i still wear leggings under my jeans and from time to time i will wear two pairs of jeans layered.
As for the torso, I would and still wear up to 5 layers in combinations of tank top, t-shirts, shirts, vests , light jackets and finally my coat. Yeah. I’m weird but it works for me.
I recently purchased a goose down coat so this may cut down on all the layers.

Where I live no one cares what you look like when its 40 below, keeping warm requires putting on as many layers as possible and than hopeing you can still move and see!! Picture the little brother in the Christmas Story, you look and feel like a marshmallow, but hopefully you are warm. Finally when I get inside, I always have a warm beverage in my fav mug to warm me up from the inside out.
I don’t have to do a whole lot to keep warm in our winters. I’m in the deep south and winters are pretty mild. But there’s nothing like a hot cup of tea and a warm blanket to wrap around me when the weather gets nippy.

One number is my lovely boyfriend because his caring and a loving person.
Two, my baby bunny because its so smooth and warm when i hug it LOL.

I keep warm cuddling up to our five puppies. Two Westies (they are totally polar!!!), one Scottie, one Yorkie, and a minuscule Maltese.
Then we go to sleep in front of the fireplace, with a color-changing log, and a ton of comforters. Sleeping on the floor like this gypsy style is nothing short a golden moment.
