To make eyes pop I do a smokey Gold eye. I think Gold looks so nice on my skin tone…I make the lid and botton extra dark for a sultry look and it instantly makes my eyes pop.

claudia Avatar

Using a beige pencil on my waterline helps a LOT ! I’m not really fond of using a white pencil, but a more ‘nude’ color is perfect, just like those chromagraphic pencils :))

Cathy Avatar

My favoite way to make eyes pop is the old standby where you use white liner on waterline and just outside of tearduct. set with a light shadow and it wakes up your eyes.

I LOVE to line the waterline with white liner and use taupes and purple eyeshadows on my lids
i.e. Satin taupe by MAC

what an exciting giveaway!

awesome give-away 🙂 I always use a silver eyeliner at the inner of my eyes to make them pop and a great mascara – Chanel Exceptionel 🙂

Marinka Avatar

My favorite beauty tip to make my eyes pop; use neutral eyeshadow on the eyelid and a bright color on the lower lash line. Also, I like to use a white/flesh toned eye pencil on my lash line to give it that special look.

Andie Avatar

My favorite beauty tip to make my eyes pop is using white eyeliner, it really does make the eyes look bigger, plus it hides any signs of being tired. 😉

Emily Avatar

I love to use dark bronzy browns around my blue eyes to really make them stand out and pop. I always get the most complements when I use bronzy browns or purples!

Lorraine Avatar

My favorite beauty tip on making eyes pop is adding gorgeous false eyelashes to add fullness and length to your natural eyelashes. It makes for a sexy more sophisticated look. They make for tons of differnt looks and fits any personality. =)

kaylena Avatar

I think a couple ways to make brown eyes pop is to use purple and brown eye shadow shades.

Warm browns with ruddy undertones and cool purples with pink undertones always make my eyes pop.

Add a bit of Benefit’s Eye Bright or MAC Fascinating Eye Kohl to waterline and its heaven on brown peepers!

Thanks for the giveaway! ^_^

ellie Avatar

I usually line my waterline with a creme liner to make my eyes pop! Or….put a dab of goldmine (or any gold-toned shadow) with a 219 brush in the inner corners of my eyes! Hope your final went well!

PurpleSaila Avatar

My favourite tip to make my eyes pop is to curl my lashes from root to top to create “doe eyes” and then coat the lashes with black waterproof mascara. The waterproof mascara makes the lashes stay curled the whole day. A very effective way to make your eyes look bigger.

Zoe Avatar

I’m very pale with almost clear blue eyes which can get lost on my face so it’s very important to make my eyes POP. I like to do this two ways, one is to apply MAC Teddy eyeliner on my upper eye, a smooth rusty bronze that really makes blue eyes stand out, and follow that with a nude/beige liner on my bottom inner eye line, I recommend the MAC Chromagraphic pencils in the darker shade. The other thing that I love is lining my lower inside lid with an electric blue like NARS eye liner pencil in Kitty or mac Technakohl in smooth blue!

verybecca Avatar

To make eyes pop (mine are brown) I use a champagne or gold on the inner corner which always makes me look more awake…a slightly deeper gold on the lid and a deeper shade on the outer corners – top with liner on upper lashline only for a doe-eyed look.

Irenaeus Avatar

I tightline, add a lot of mascara, and use a lighter eyeliner instead of black or brown! To make eyes really pop, use a spoon.

Sarah Avatar

my favorite beauty tip to make my eyes pop is using eyeshadows and pigments wet! The colors are a lot more concentrated when used wet! So dab the eyeshadow/pigment onto your makeup brush and spray MAC’s Fix + on the brush where the shadow/pigment is (one or two spritzes is enough)!

Its both sanitary and clean way to add more color to your eyes! 😀

elly Avatar

My favourite beauty tip (and new favourite product) to make my eyes pop is using the chromagraphic pencil on my waterline! I look about a hundred times more awake!

Laura Avatar

Hmmm, I think one of my favourite beauty tips to make eyes pop is the obvious one, white liner on the waterline. However, my eyes are blue, so when I add a bit of aqua liner to the waterline, I think it makes them pop even more.

Khristine Talactac Avatar

My absolute favorite beauty tip to make eyes pop are put concealer that is 1-2 shades lighter than your skin shade under the eyes as well as put a nude/white liner on the lower waterline for instant awakening/pop of the eyes!

Grace Avatar

My favorite beauty tip is to add white or a nude color eyeliner on the botto waterline to give a more awake and open look. I have the Asian monolid (because I’m Asian..duh hahaha) so it really helps and I also like to add a bright color in the middle of the lid to give it an open effect as well.

Ashley Avatar

My favourite tip to make eyes pop is to highlight the eye and apply mascara to top and bottom lashes. If you do nothing else with your makeup, your eyes will still pop!

CurlyKye Avatar

Oooh Enter me! All I need is my CoverGirl Lash Blast Mascara to work my eyelashes and make my eyes POP. Simply as that. If I want to get creative for evening, a subtle black or navy/midnight blue smokey eye will do!

Valene Avatar

My favorite tip to make eyes POP is a sparkley little highlight in the inner corner to brighten. And with my blue eyes I choose something with a touch of copper or bronze to really set off the colour.

Shelby Avatar

My favorite way to make my eyes pop is to line my waterline with purple eyeliner. I have green eyes and purple is opposite of green on the color wheel so the contrast makes my eye color pop. For any other eye color, just choose the color opposite on the color wheel. Also I ALWAYS curl my eye lashes because it makes such a huge difference.

kristie Avatar

I like to use bright colors in the middle of the lid and at the inner corners to make eyes POP, looking larger. Thanks for a giveaway Christine!

Kathleen Avatar

Best way to make the eyes pop is to use an off-white creamy eyeliner to line the waterline, use Benefit High Brow and put on the inner corners of the eyes. Use curling and lengthening mascara and black eye liner only on the top lash line. Voila!

Jenny Avatar

my favourite product to make eyes pop is an eyeliner, pencil, liquid, anything which defines the eyes & makes them the centre of attention =)

Ruth Halls Avatar

my favourite tip to make eyes pop is: line the waterlines of your eyes with a white or flesh toned liner – it really makes you look as if you’ve had a full 10 hours sleep and also makes the whites of your eyes bigger and brighter!

Farida Avatar

My eyes are hazel/green depending on what I wear. In order to make my eyes pop, I wear black eye liner on my upper and lower waterline everyday. Every where I go, people compliment me on my eye colour. THX!

Arianna Avatar

My tip is: always apply a darker color in the outer corner, a brighter one on the lid and an iridescent color on the brow bones and inner corners to illuminate the eyes! =D

diana Avatar

i like to use eyeshadows that compliment my dark brown eyes. i like to use greens in this case, because i think it looks good and because i love green

Anna Avatar

i love to put white eyeliner on the water line but bringing it right into the tear duct and blending it makes you look so awake!

nomimon Avatar

I like to apply MUFE white pearl liner on inner rims of eyes and then extend the line past my eyes-corners and winged out at edges-its surprisingly subtle but really gives illusion of big eyes

Ashlee Hicks Avatar

I love to use black or dark brown for my upper lashline and on the outer edge of my lower lashline, then white on my waterline, and a little bit of the white around the tear duct/inner corner. It creates the most beautiful doll-eyed effect

Hendrix Avatar

My favourite way to make my eyes pop is to do a smoky eye in purple. It really enhances my green eyes and makes them sooo bright! If I’m feeling really daring, I’ll put on some false lashes, but that’s for super-dramatic days.

I retweeted this, too! (@kissprintsblog) 😀

Wendy Avatar

I know everyone knows this, but what I do to make my eyes POP is to curl my lashes. Even if they are already naturally like that, it doesn’t hurt to curl a bit to open up the eye more. I also like to line my waterline with a peachy eyeliner to brighten my eye up.
For special occassions, I use a tiny bit of glitter near my tear ducts! But of course, one can use a shimmery neutral shadow for everyday. 🙂

Rita Avatar

I have creased eyes, so the best for me is to put some light&shiny e/s on lid and a darker shade above the crease (cause the crease don’t show).

Alice Avatar

My favorite trick to make my eyes pop is to put a colorful liner on my lower lash line– like designer purple pearlglide intense or urban decay’s electric 24/7 eyeliner

sara Avatar

I have 2 tips to make may eyes POP (and yours if you want 🙂 )

1. I use a classic shade all over the lid (browns, taupes, purples, dark blues, dark greens) and a lighter and brighter eyeshadow on the lower lashline (lilac, gold, teal….)

2. I use a glitter eyeliner on the lower lashline!

Fabienne Avatar

My beauty tip for making my eyes pop would be putting on some falsies. I think false lashes are a great way to make your eyes stand out, even if you do not have much going on with your eyeshadow- you really do not even need that dramatic of eyeshadow to wear falsies.

brittany Avatar

my favorite beauty tip to make eyes pop is to put white eyeliner on my lower waterline, and in the inner corners of my eye. then i put a bright color e/s on my lid!

Hanna Avatar

My favorite beauty tip on making eyes pop is to use falsies. I also do a light smoky purple eye and line my bottom lashes with a sky blue. It really makes my eyes pop and is a cool look for the summer. Thanks for the giveaway!!!!!

Leah Avatar

Please enter me! I would love to try that coral crepe paint pot!

My fave beauty tip to make eyes pop (I actually have 2 :)) is 1: visine! My eyes get slightly red easy and before I go out or take pics I make sure to drop some visine in my eyes first, I stopped for awhile and I totally noticed a difference and 2: I like to put a luminizer on the outer corners of my eyes such and ELF’s luminous.

Great post!

My favorite way to make eyes pop? Layer on the mascara. Like, cake it on. The key to not having clumps is putting a piece of paper behind your lashes and push your brush against your lashes against the paper. It gives you mile long lashes, protects the shadow you’ve applied, and prevents clumps, no matter how clumpy the mascara! It also curls well without an eyelash curler! I also RT@prblms4loki

Lona Avatar

I apply Lashbalst to top eyelashes and then wing out a few fake lashes with black eyeliner pen–its trompe l’oeil falsies!

michelle Avatar

lining waterline with a light color flesh pencil. or highlighter around the tear duct : )

im guessing everyone knows this

Veronica Avatar

My favorite way to make my very small eyes pop is to line the lower waterline with Benefit’s Eye Bright pencil. I also dab a little into the inner corner of my eye. Then I ALWAYS follow-up with CoverGirl’s Lash Blast in Very Black. It’s my one drugstore staple 🙂

Mona Avatar

I love to wear a smokey eye- I used MAC Satin Taupe over MAC Earth minerals (or something like that) with Urban Decay Bourbon liner all over(lid, waterline-smudge). It’s fast, easy and looks great!

Bluebell Avatar

Beige eyeshadow on the lid and highlighter along the browbone, black winged liquid liner and curled lashes with black mascara on top only, white pencil liner along inner bottom lashline

53 Avatar

1) powder my eyes.
2) wash the entire eyelid with a fav neutral e/s such as Hey from MAC.
3) line my upper water line with a dark colour
4) line the upper lash line and pull it to a “slight” cat eye look or a thin winged tip.
5) lower lash line should be lined with a light colour like gold/pewter/light brown.
6) Finish off by using a light coat of fav mascara

latindolll4 Avatar

My favorite way to make my eyes pop is to make sure my brows are well groomed and polished.
I use Anastasia products they are worth every penny !
Also , lining my top and lower eyelid for a more dramatic look 🙂

Jamie Avatar

OMG you’re awesome!!!
I’m still trying to make my eye pop, using the already known rule of thumb such as applying lighter colors on the bottom waterline and on the tear duck area… somehow it never works for me!

hopefully the chromatographic pencil will work!

thank you for the contest! I may not be showing up as a follower as there is some kind of bug but I have been following you for quite some time now 🙂

thanks again!

Mollie Avatar

I love love love using smashbox eyeshadow primer right under my eye/lower lashes… it perfectly hides redness, darknesss, smudging… whatever and makes you look so awake and brightened up. It’s my favorite trick!

DANA Avatar

To make my eyes POP– I like to highlight using MAC nylon or another glitter shadow right in the inner corner of the eyes!! Also filling water line makes my eyes pop!!!

Jean Avatar

My eyes look bigger when I curl my lashes and apply a good lengthening mascara or false lashes. It makes a world of difference.

Sara Avatar

I hate the way my eyes look when I line the waterline with white… so I make my eyes pop with my Vanilla pigment! I use it in the inner corners (blended up and out) and then the tiniest bit along my lower lashine instead of the white liner. That being said, I’d love to try the new pencils in this collection, the nude color must be more subtle than white!

Missa Avatar

My fav way to make my eyes pop is adding a little shimmer or bright color to the corners of the eye. And also adding natural lashes, which I think enhance your lashes so it gives it more of a pop.

mellow Avatar

I love to use a lighter color in the inner tear duct area and lots of super black mascara. Also, if going for a darker look, tightline and line the water line. It really makes brown eyes pop.

Trish Avatar

My eyes really stand out with eyeliner. And it’s so easy, when I’m in a hurry and have no time to do a proper eye, I just put eyeliner on the top and bottom water line, some mascara and it looks great. I think brown is good to go softer and black or purple if I’d like something a little bit more heavier. But since it’s a bit warmer now I turn a bit more to coral and gold shadows, keepin’ it simple for those hot days.
Paint pots are great to intensify the colors of the shadows too. Coral Crepe is a must have right now.

evo Avatar

my bf loves it when i have smokey eyes. i don’t make it too dark by lining the waterline with stila’s topaz kajal liner

Suji Avatar

To make my eyes pop I like using a shimmery white shadow on the inside corners of my eyes and sometimes allover the lid, and a line of eyeliner only on the top lid. Simple and pretty!

Kathryn Avatar

I use pearly eyeshadows in the very inner corner of my eyes and they just pop and sparkle! I use different colours depending on what the rest of my eyeshadows are, usually a very pale pink or a vanilla/creamy white.

sarah k Avatar

My tips for making eyes POP! ;D

1) Black eye liner w/ curled lashes, ultra black WP mascara, & great looking falsies!

2) Add a bit of shimmer to the inner corner of the eyes. kaPOW!

3) If I’m in a rush and I feel like I need a little *umph* to my look, I just take a bright colored e/s or liner and add a bit of color (blue, purple, green, etc.) to the outer corners of my lower lashline. A great detail that many find fast and easy to do!

Valerie C. Avatar

I use a blue pencil to line under eyes to brighten. Usually it’s a light to medium blue like MAC’s kohl in Blue Yonder….not sure if they still make that one.

milly Avatar

I use a light sticky eye primer like UD primer potion and then use MAC pigments and the apply mac eyeshadow for the crease, using a satin/shimmer hightlight colour for the highest brow point and in the inner corners. Using a light sticky primer always helps to pop pigments and loose shadows. 🙂 Vaseline also works instead of a sticky primer!

Rachel Avatar

LOADS. LOADS. LOADS of Mascara. Not to the point where they look like spidery lashes, but ultra deep black mascara always works.

Rachel Avatar

For an everyday look that makes my eyes pop, i start with Bare Study paint pot over the entire lid. Then Ricepaper on the lower lid, Dazzlelight as a brow highlighter, tempting on the outer lid and crease, Nylon on the inner lid, line the lower lid with Honey Lust, and line upper and lower lashes with Black Tied. top it of with lots of black mascara, and I’m done! 🙂 I have blue eyes, so this is a great look on me to make that blue really stand out. 🙂

LuvJ Avatar

To make my light brown eyes stand out — I wear teal and turquoise shadows! These colors never let me down! A little white gold or champagne liner on the lower lash lines and that completes an eye-popping look 🙂

Alina Avatar

My best tip to make eyes “pop” is to add a pretty and semi bright colored shadow in the inner tear duct, a bright colored eyeshadow or eyeliner on your lower lashline, and my favorite tip is to add a shimmery or glittery eyeshadow to the center part of your eyelid and blend. Doing that will help make your eyes look bigger and more awake. I feel like it helps make your eyes look hypnotic and makes It hard for people to look away from your beautiful peepers! 🙂

milly Avatar

I use a light sticky primer such as the UD primers and then apply MAC pigments on the lid and apply MAC eyeshadow in the crease to define the look, i then use a shimmer/satin highlight colour on the highest point of the brow bone and in the inner corner. Using a slightly sticky base helps lock in the pigment colour and makes it pop! Also vaseline can be use instead of a sticky eye base, but must be applied very lightly. 🙂

georgina Avatar

The only way to ALWAYS make my eyes pop is by curling my eyelashes and wearing mascara, all the other tips won’t work if your eyelashes aren’t curled

makeupmonkey Avatar

my favourite tip is to use benefit’s high brow pencil on the lower lash waterline – it’s not quite as obvious as white but still makes eyes really pop.

Amy M Avatar

My favorite tip to make brown eyes pop is to use pinks and purples. My current favorite springy eye is UD Asphyxia on the inner third of the lid, tear duct, and lightly above the crease on the inner part, MAC Lala (applied wet) on the rest of the lid, UD Crash in the crease, MAC Designer Purple on lower lash line, UD Yeyo on waterline, and Stila Loves Barbie in Purple Pumps on the top lash line.

Vanessa Avatar

My favorite tip is to use a white/dark cream base to make colors pop on my lids! The kat von d cream shadows in her palettes really do that!

Brie Avatar

My favorite thing to do to make my eyes pop is to smudge a light, neutral shimmery shade on the inner corners of my eyes. It really brightens them up and makes them stand out!

Jess Avatar

I like to use Sin by urban decay all over the lid and up close to the brow bone and teddy eyeliner by MAC then topaz liner by stila on my lower water line, lots of YSL mascara and TADA, easy and bright eyed look!

Cathy Avatar

To make my eyes pop, I like to use bright colors on the upper lid and line my upper lash line with a bold, black eyeliner!

Jenna Avatar

To make my eyes pop, I put on some black eyeliner (MAC Blacktrack, of course!) and a ton of mascara (or a couple of layers of false eyelashes!) while keeping the rest of my make-up very natural-looking.

I hope I win!

MimiG323 Avatar

To make my eyes pop I use a burgundy liner and purple mascara. it really brings out the green in my hazel eyes and makes them stand out!

kirsty Avatar

Putting a light silver shadow/liner just around the tearduct area really brightens my eyes! I try to avoid too much popping around the eye area, as I don’t want them to contend with my glasses!

twitter: kirkichi

Li Ming Avatar

Tight line upper lashes with black or dark brown eyeliner
Highlight inner eyes (top & bottom) with a frosty/shimmery eyeshadow or pencil – gold, champagne pink (MUFE Aqua Eyes 23L), white
Line lower waterline with matte or frosty pencil

Bianca Avatar

To make my eyes pop, I always wear a dark color in the part of my crease that is furthest from my eye. Not all the way across the crease, but just that outer area.

Darrien Avatar

My favorite beauty tip is putting a shimmery white shadow in the corner of my eye and lining my waterline with white or skin colored liner!

Sarah Avatar

Line the waterline (top and bottom) in shades that compliment your eye color (the opposite of your eye color), and highlight the inner corners with a shimmery pale shade.

kasiaj85 Avatar

That’s a good question and I’d love to read all the comments on this!I usually use my Bisque e/s on the whole lid to even it out, then I use any dark color I want on the crease and a little bit of eyeliner, usually black, just above my lashline. And then comes Vanilla Pigment which works miracles for me! I apply it onto the middle of my lid and blend it – this makes my eye look much bigger. And then I use it as a highlighter under my eyebrows. To finish it up, I use my mascara to thicken and curl my lashes. 🙂

Hannah Avatar

A neutral eye with a bright color on the lower lashline. My favourite color to use would have to be teal 🙂 Give such definition to the eye!

Tamara Avatar

To make my eyes pop, I like to put DiorShow Blackout mascara on my top and bottom lashes, making sure every lash is defined. It makes my eyes look HUGE and I’ve even been asked if I was wearing false lashes a couple of times!

Christina Avatar

I like to line just my upper lash line, and only put mascara on the upper lashes as well. That, plus some fun bright eyeshadow!

Anna Avatar

Use a light color of eyeliner to line your waterline, then put a mid tone color under your lashes to make you eyes look huge.

kara vitacca Avatar

personally i think curling your eyelashes is the best way to make your eyes pop but for going out
I like to use macs pearl reflects on my eyelids over a smoky eye. I love the way it makes your eyes glitter!

Mattea Avatar

i love to do the whole color theory thing, & use colors that are or have an undertone thats opposite of my eye color. i also like to use a good mascara 🙂 definitely makes eyes pop 🙂

Anna Phylactyc Avatar

When lining my eyes with my go-to black liner, Blacktrack f/l, I always do the following, and my eyes really pop!: Starting at the inner corner, I line verrrry close to the lashline, keeping the line thin, but as I get to the the center, gradually, subtly widen the line so that it stays thin throughout, but is thickest at the outer third of my eye. Then I line the upper waterline with the same and apply black mascara, but keep my lower lashline and waterline bare- this makes my eyes look huge, almondy, almost feline, and I love the effect. The addition of a white or flesh-toned liner to the lower waterline adds even more wide-eyed freshness, so I would love to try the Chromagraphic pencil!

Fridde Avatar

My favorite tip to makes the eyes pop is to use contrast-colors. If you have blue eyes- go with oranges, corals and coppers. If you are a brown eyed girl- use purples, violets and yellows!

Dawn Avatar

White pencil on the waterline is the thing that makes my eyes pop. I’m looking forward to trying the chromographic pencils when they come out over here, too

Molly Avatar

I use white eye liner on my waterline and a light blue and silver shadow on my lid. Because my eyes are brown, it draws attention right to my eyes!

Helen Avatar

My tip to make eyes pop is to highlight highlight highlight. I know it’s pretty obvious but it’s the only thing that works for me.

shelby Avatar

To make my eyes pop I use a navy-blue eyeliner instead of black. The blue eyeliner makes my eyes look larger and the whites of my eyes brighter!

Maggie Avatar

I have olive green eyes and to make them pop i do a smokey purple taupe combo on my eyes with colors like mac sketch, fig1, satin taupe & Nars ondine, or ashes to ashes,

MissDeeCanada Avatar

A good shadow base similar to the colour can definately make a shadow pop. I love using the paint pots from mac for this 🙂

Phoebe Dixon Avatar

Two simple tips;
Use white liner along the water line, then counteract with black on the lower lash line, will immediately create the illusion of bigger, more defined eyes.
Also, try using a colour to match your eyes, or at the opposite end of the colour spectrum to line all around your eyes, will bring out your eye colour beautifully!

Sophie Avatar

I like to make by eyes pop by putting some blackliquid liner on my upper lashline and then a thin line of white eyeliner above that, overlapping with the liquid liner just a little, little, little bit to make a super thin silvery line in between the black and white. Easy to do and takes all of two minutes, but definitely gives the basic look a little extra oomph 😀

Kerstin Avatar

I have hazel eyes, so the best color to make them “pop” is purple. I like browns, too. Blue liner on the waterline works well, because the white appears whiter and so the color of my eyes is standing out, that’s how i feel ;).

Good luck to everyone!

Kirsten Avatar

Making eyes pop depends on the eyecolor. I have blue eyes so if I use purple eyeshadow or liner the blue really stands out

Lauren Avatar

I have blue eyes, to make my eyes pop I line my water line and tight line. Then (sometimes) I use light brown(lid), copper(crease and outer V),and a light white shadow(highlight), and yeah it makes my eyes look awesome! (: yay! haha (and of course mascara!)It would be nice to win. I cant afford MAC :/

fabienne Avatar

Hi darling!
my name is fabienne and i’m italian! the secret for make the pop-eyes is to unleash our creativity, thinking about things that make us happy, and use bright colors, thinking about flowers, sea and springtime! and why not, listen to good music!

Cynthia Avatar

I use several “tricks” that I find help my eyes to POP! I doubt these ideas are new, or exciting, but they work for me. 🙂

-Heavier mascara on the outer half of the eye, very light hand on the inner half.
-Slightly shimmery, flesh coloured pencil on the waterline, and inner corner of the eye.
-In situations where I have to keep eyeshadows neutral/muted, I’ll usually use a “fun” colour on the outer 2/3rds of the lower lashline.
-When doing a dark/smokey look, I’ll use a lighter, shimmery colour on the inner corner.

That’s all I can think of for now. I look forward to reading what others have to say!

Hannah Avatar

I like to use a plum colour on my waterline to make my eyes look white, and I also think purple makes my eyes (brown) stand out 🙂

Sarah Avatar

1- Always curl lashes
2- use fake lashes smartly
3- white pencil on waterline
4- perfectly shaped eyebrows
5- use. Colored contact lenses
These are my best tips, which work wonders on me.

Stephanie Avatar

I love to highlight my inner corners with a shimmery shadow like Mac’s femme fi or naked lunch. I also like to use a green or blue liner to make my brown eyes pop!

Bernice Avatar

Hi Christine,

Thanks for the contest !
My favourite tip to make my eyes pop is to line my waterline with a matte, black kohl eyeliner and on the lower lash line I add a bright colour while deeping the outer lash line 🙂 Oh, and a flattering white or champagne highlight in my inner corners! It definitely makes a difference =)

Alex Avatar

reaching for black mascara rather than brown, and using lots of pale pink and purple because it’s light enough to look fresh but not so light that it makes my eyelids look obese.

Ingrid Avatar

My fave beauty tip to make eyes “pop”: using dry e/s to softly line the lashline. Really enhances the eyes without going overboard. Matte e/s like MAC copperplate or LM black plum work the best for me, really bring out the green tones.

Phoebe Avatar

One thing i do everytime i go to work is use a shimmery brown eyeliner (almost gold but darker) to make your brown eyes pop. I think it will also look good on other eye colors. I do this all the time since black is too harsh for day makeup specially when i go to an office environment.

Julia Avatar

I think using the right kind of under eye concealer– nothing to chalky or heavy– makes your eyes pop in a natural way!

Sarah Avatar

1- Always curl lashes + good mascara
2- use fake lashes smartly
3- white pencil on waterline
4- perfectly shaped eyebrows
5- use Colored contact lenses
6- I use kajal on lower lashline, smudge it with a qtip, give me a smouldry smoky look+ defined eyes.
These are my best tips, which work wonders on me.

Stephanie Avatar

I have brown eyes, and I love using gold e/s on the lid or green liner on lower lashline to make it really stand out. I also put MAC Vanilla/Your Ladyship pigment in the inner corner of my lashline.

Lauren Avatar

i curl my lashes and put on two different mascaras! and then, as others have said, i use a white eyeliner pencil on my lower waterline and on my inner corners to open up my eyes

Audrey H. Avatar

The best way to make my eyes pop is a good night sleep, I look bright eyed and alive! Otherwise, highlighting eye shadow under my brows and curled/mascara eye lashes (which I’m too lazy to do lol). Thanks for this lovely giveaway, would love to try these Mac products.

Valerie Avatar

To give my eyes some pop takes 3 easy steps
1) Using a beige eyepencil on the waterline
2) Using black eyeliner no matter which eyeshadows I wear
3) Black mascara (even if I don’t wear any make-up I wear mascara)

Mandy J Avatar

The best way to make my green eyes pop, is to use purple/mauve toned eyeshadows. Plus, I always use black liner! Love it!

grace Avatar

My favorite tip is to have a neutral color on the lids with a colored eyeliner/eyeshadow along the lower lash line…almost any bright color will do!

Oh thats´s really a great Giveaway! Thanks for that!

I use a neutral colour on the lid and lower lashline, a black eyeliner on the waterline and upper lashline and then use always a bright colour (depends on what I wear) for the crease and outer V. This always works, neutral eyes with a bit of colour!

Good luck to everybody :o)

My favorite tip in how to make my eyes pop is curling my eyelashes!! even if I’m on a lazy day and I’m not wearing any makeup, curling is a MUST!! it opens your eyes, gives you a wide awake look. If I’m in that no-makeup mood, I add a little Vaseline to my lashes and they look a bit thicker, and the best part is that I don’t have to remove it at night. 😉

Izzy Avatar

I make my eyes pop by putting black eyeliner on the top and corners of my eyes. Then I follow the black on the bottom halfway. I don’t follow the whole line because it can make your eyes appear smaller. Also, white eyeliner on the bottom with black on the top looks awesome if done correctly. Curl eyelashes and use black mascara!

sharon Avatar

my special trick is this new eyeliner from this collection, NC15/NW20
instead using a white eyeliner to give a little bit of light and that shiny look to my eyes.

Fatema Avatar

Hi, I always use colored eyeliner on my upper lash line(purple/blue/ green),then I apply black kohl pencil on my lower waterline and curl my lashes and apply one coat mascara to make my eyes pop!!

Maggie G. Avatar

One of my favorite tricks that really makes my eyes pop is to line with a brightly-colored liner pencil, then smudge it out to a smoky line with a deeper shadow. I love using Urban Decay’s 24/7 pencil in Covet, then smoking it out with one of the many brown/green duochrome shadows (UD’s Lounge, Too Faced’s Label Wh*re, blah blah).

Niika Avatar

sweep a shimmery eye shadow in a neutral shade (pick one similar to your skin color) all over your lids and apply a volumizing mascara to pump up your lashes.

Montrese Avatar

To make my eyes pop, I like to do a black winged liner on the top lash line, a really bright color (my fav is an electric purple) on the bottom lashline, & tons of mascara! 🙂

Sarah Johansson Avatar

Wow, what a fantastic giveaway! Especially since this collection doesn’t arrive to Sweden:(
My favourite way to make my green eyes pop is creating a quite dark smokey lid with a warm purple shade or perhaps brown or gold, and then lining both the upper and lower lashlines with black, the lower two thirds in. I line the waterline with a white liner.
Then I curl my lashes and apply black mascara, and that makes my eyes really intense and the green really pops!

Elissa Avatar

I love using a color like Nylon in my inner corner to make my eyes pop! It actually makes me look like I got some sleep 🙂

Mariah Avatar

Bright colors! There’s nothing that’ll pop better! I know some people shy away from them, but you can use them sparingly and still get the effect! But hey, life’s short! Enjoy color!

Nic Avatar

Using colors complementary to your eye color will generally make your eyes stand out. For me, that’s anything in the red/orange family. Also, using a bright inner corner highlight. 🙂

Diana Avatar

To make my eyes pop, I use a white eyeshadow on the inner corners of my eyes and a bright eyeliner on the lower lash line, paired with a neutral eye.

Sandy Avatar

Using a terra cotta shadow makes my eyes look blue blue blue!

I would *love* to get my hands on this; have been dying for a beautiful coral lippy and was heading to the MAC store tomorrow to get it!

Myrna Avatar

Because i have light blue eyes, i use a dark blue, almost black eyeshadow as a thick eyeliner. And than i put some pearly white eyeshadow on my browbone

my favourate tip is to apply a turquoise eyeliner to the lower lash line with black eyeliner to the upper if you have brown or hazel eyes and a purple eyeliner on the lower lashline if you have blue or green eyes
very flattering!

Fauxflush Avatar

Curl lashes and apply true-black mascara, and apply a blue or nude liner to the waterline. Highlight the inner corners too!

I’ve been really in to Topaz By Stila eyeliner lately, its the perfect peachy color and its not unnatural looking like white eyeliner can be.

Jiwon Avatar

I love using MUFE star powder 946 or 947 underneath my lower lash line! It makes my eyes pop and bling bling effect! Soooooo pretty!!!

jahayra Avatar

Honestly the best thing to make your eyes pop is confidence. Guys notice that way more than any mascara or eyeshadow 🙂

Jenn Avatar

a little light blue shimmer eye liner smugged onto the inner corners of the eyes and across the upper lash line with some mascara, you will look like your eyes are as big as those dolls you see at fao schwarz!

Mette Sofie Avatar

There are small tricks: lining my eyes with a bright colored pencil (I love MACs Obviously Orange Technakohl liner), Highlighting the inner corner or using a white or flesh colored eyeliner on your waterline.

However, when I really want my eyes to stand out I always do this look:
MACs Naked Lunch e/s all over my lid
MACs Parfait Amour e/s in the crease and outer corner
MACs Vanilla Pigment in the inner corner
And then lots of mascara.

It’s a really soft and simple look, but it never fails to get me compliments 😉

Nayeli Avatar

To make my eyes pop, I like to wear a bright eye liner on my lower lash line with a neutral eye.

Leigh Avatar

I make my eyes pop by using a white liner such as NYX Milk at the inner coner of my eye, then pressing a light, shimmery shadow on top, like MAC Shroom.

liz Avatar

my favorite tip to bring out eyes and take away problem areas around the eyes like bags and redness is to, apply a concealer lighter than your skin, blend around the inner corners where the bags start gently with your finger. then pat some powder. use a skin highlight in the inner corners of your lids and a tiny bit under your eyes on your cheekbone. the final touch is to create a slight crease on your lids to make them appear bigger and rounder. this is a good tip for girls with small eye lids/mono-lids. use a dark brown. just a tiny bit with a shadow brush and apply it on your lids and create a crease. blend it. your eyes will stick out a lot more.
also, before applying mascara, i gently stroke my lashes upward with my finger. for me it works better than a comb. then i apply the mascara. i use a lengthening and volumizing mascara.
i don’t use mascara on my lower lashes, i feel like it takes attention away from the top lashes which are bigger and fuller than the lower lashes.
to make my eyes pop out even more, i add a little black eyeliner to the outer corner of my waterline and that’s it. not the whole waterline just the outer area.

i don’t wear heavy make up. a combination of the above plus bronzer gives me a sunkissed look. you don’t need a ton of eye make up to bring out your eyes. a little bit goes a long way.
i hope i win!! i got laid off and i haven’t been able to buy any make up lately.

Nancy Avatar

My favorite way to get my eyes to pop is by using MAC Fluidline in blacktrack. When feeling a little more frisky, I apply it thicker; when not as frisky, I apply it thinner. I love it!

Pam Avatar

My favorite tip to make eyes pop is to use MAC naked pigment all over the lid and l’Oreal chrome eyeliner in silver to line the whole eye.

Ashley Avatar

My favourite tip to make eyes pop is quite common but it is to apply a shimmering champagne or white eyeshadow in the inner corners of the eye and extending it a little on the lower and upper lids.

Laura Avatar

I have NC25-30ish skin; what I do to make the eyes ‘pop’ is quite simple: lightly do an all-over wash on the lids with MAC Rubenesque paint pot – the gold really brightens up the eyes! Do a bold cat-eye with the fluidline in blacktrack and pump up the lashes with cover-girl lashblast mascara. I have small asian eyes so I steer clear of putting eye-liner on the waterline cause it makes them appear smaller.

Lisa Avatar

my favorite “trick” is simply to wear flase lashes! i think they just make the eyes look so big and awake.

thanks for the contest Christine 🙂

Wendy Avatar

I love going with a matte skin tone color all over my lid and then just go with a super fun blue color as eye liner and wing it out!

Carrie Avatar

I guess it depends on your eye shape, but for me–hooded eyes with almost no crease–tightlining/liner on my waterline totally helps. And I actually prefer blackened gold or bronze over flat black.

amy Avatar

i put a light highlighter under the arch of my brow and on the inner corner i also line it with benefit eye bright on my water line to make me look awake. i then use either various shades of grey and blue to compliment blue eyes or conflicting colours to bring out the eye colour

Sarah Avatar

My favorite eye look of the moment is wearing Rubenesque paint pot as a base, Jardin Aires Pigment on the lid, Satin Taupe lightly in the grease, and Vanilla for highlight. I use Stila black Smudge Pot and apply it very very thinly just along the lash line. Then I curl my lashes and apply Givenchy Phenomen’eyes mascara. After putting the mascara on “normally”, I turn the brush vertically and pull up on my lashes to open up my eyes.

Jackie Avatar

i think it was already mentioned like 50 times but.. putting a highlight color on the inner tear ducts… for some reason, bright colors on my waterline make my eyes look smaller, maybe i’m just doing it wrong 😛

Yay! To make my own eyes pop, I usually do a neutral bronze-champagne eye (I’m an NC45) with a thick line of turquoise or bright blue eyeliner along my top lashes, winged out. I add another, really thin line of black liquid eyeliner just at the root of my upper lashes and consider it done!

i always put a highlighting color on my inner and outer corner of my eyes and brow bone even if im not wearing eyeshadow. also a MUST for me is to heat the eyelasher curler with the blowdryer before curling! then i use a waterproof mascara to make sure the curl stays. otherwise they go back to straight!

Aicha Avatar

I like to use a dark eyeliner or eyeshadow to lightly line along the upper lashline (thinner toward the inner corner, slightly thicker toward the outer), and on the outer corner of the lower lash line. Also, I usually use a light colored eyeliner along the waterline. Since I have brown eyes, I will sometimes use a purple liner just to bring out the brown a bit. Cheers!

I find that a very thin line of eyeliner on my lid and on my tight line really makes my eyelashes look fuller. I also put a little bit of liner on my bottom lash line, and smudge it down. I feel this makes my eyes look a little bit bigger, as long as I don’t take it so far that it looks messy. And obviously, the old stand-bys such as curling your eyelashes and wearing a nude or white colored eyeliner on your waterline. Also, a small strip of not-in-your-face glitter eyeliner on your bottom lash really draws attention to your eyes and opens them up.

Sheena F Avatar

I love using a neutral eye look and pairing it with a bright pop of color on my lower lash line like MAC’s pearlglide intense eye liner in designer purple or industrial.

Ray Avatar

I line my waterline with a white or blue eyeliner (the blue helps counteract the redness and white makes them look wide awake).

Lauren Avatar

For the summer months, to make eyes pop, I smooth out the lid complexion with Painterly paint pot. Next, I use a fluffy crease brush like the 224 by MAC and swirl it in my Cargo bronzer (or Benefit’s Hoola) and blend that into my crease to give my eyes an open glow. Lastly, I take my favourite Gosh retractable eye pencil in a dark turquoise colour and line my water line directly under the pupil of my eyes to really emphasize their grey blue colour. Voila- my eye popping AND SIMPLE summer eye for grey eyes.

Jessi Avatar

#1: Get a good night’s sleep!

#2: Anything copper, rust or reddish purple to bring out my green eyes

#3: Kind of counterintuitive, but a bare pale face plus bright magenta or blue-red lipstick really brings out the eyes

Margot Avatar

My favorite tip for making eyes pop is wearing complimentary eyeshadows. So, if you have blue eyes, copper goes so well to really intensify the color, green eyes redish purples and so on !

kelly Avatar

to make my eyes pop I use vanilla pigment in the inner corner, I line my waterline in a deep black or purple color and i curl my lashes for an extra “open” eye 🙂

Dini Avatar

My tip is don’t forget to use eyeliner on the upper lash line(your choice of color) and sweep on some mascara. As perfect as the rest of your makeup might be, you will look more finished and your eyes will really stand out if you use those two things.

I use fluidline to extend my eyeliner past the eyes to make them pop and look bigger, great for asian eyes, little wings!

elizabeth Avatar

to make my eyes pop I wear a little bit of bright purple or teal liner (i have dark brown eyes) on my bottom lash line… the pearlglides undercurrent and designer purple are PERFECT for this… but for a more natural look instead of the crazy liner i usually have brown shadow smudged along my bottom lashline, some smokey liner on top, and a tiny bit of a nude slightly shimmery shadow around my tearduct area

Julie Avatar

White eyeshadow on innercorner of eyes as well as a dot of it on the upperlid line at the center point. Mix with a bright eyeliner and your eyes shine

Dawn Avatar

To make my eyes pop, I love to line my water-line with a peach liner and put a pearly white eyeshadow on my inner tear-duct.

Danielle Avatar

My favorite trick to make my smaller Asian eyes pop, is to do an intense black smokey eye using MAC Fluidline in Blacktrack and MAC eyeshadow n Carbon.

Heather Avatar

I think lining the waterline with a bright color (cobalt blue, teal, purple, or even copper/gold) will make eyes pop like nothing else!

I also retweeted! 🙂

j e n Avatar

My favorite tip is adding a light shimmery eyeshadow to the inner corners of the eyes or white eyeliner on the waterline!

Katie Avatar

I’d use a nude chromagraphic liner on my waterline, but have a gorgeous bright shade of eyeliner on my lower lashline, like the Milani Liquif’Eyes or 24/7.

Arianne Avatar

My favourite tip is using a BRIGHT green eyeshadow and placing it right over my iris in the centre of my lid 🙂 it really intensifies my green eyes 🙂

Sandra Avatar

I use a bright metallic blue liquid liner from Avon to make a bold winged line. I keep the rest simple with flesh-toned shadow. I use my bronzer to contour on my lid and use black liner on the waterline with black mascara to make it really stand out. I always get compliments with this look and it so simple 🙂

Demetra Avatar

I like to place a highlight color in my inner eye area. It really makes my eyes pop. In fact, on lazy days, this is the only makeup I apply! My favorite’s the Skintone 2 eyeshadow released in the Makeup Art Cosmetics collection.

Pooja Avatar

i loveee to put a light skin tone color eyeliner like topaz in my inner corner and it makes my eyes pop and seem brighter!

Liza Lu Avatar

my favortie way to make my eyes pop is to take a semi-turquoise eyeliner like urban decay’s flipside 24/7 glide on and on top urban decay’s shadow “shattered” on top under my bottom lash line

it adds a funky spin to a neutral eye 🙂

Eve Avatar

Line waterline with light liner and highlight inner corners, I also like to go overboard with eyeliner on the lashline. 😀

Jumper Avatar

To make eyes pop, I like to smudge brightly coloured shadow (bright purple, blue, or turquoise) along the uppper and lower lashline

Fatima Avatar

Heavy black eyeliner & heavy black mascara, with a touch of light pale gold in the inner corner of the eye with a toned down lip really brings out my eyes.

dallasbrowneyes Avatar

The main things are Lingering pencil to define brows and Dipdown fluidline on top lashline. Also Femme Fi on browbone!

Cara Avatar

The most important thing is to have eyes that look refreshed! So the best thing to do is conceal any under eye circles and puffiness plus brighten the entire eye area so I won’t look tired. Of course long and full lashes really open the eyes up~

Leslee Avatar

My favorite tricks for my blue eyes is to first wear a bronzy or reddish eye shadow right next to the lashes, highlight the inner corner with a white-ish shimmery shadow and finally on really tired days I use a peachy eye liner on the waterline.

Katie Avatar

Yay, thanks for another contest!

To make eyes pop, I like applying white on the inner corner or on the waterline. I have brown eyes, and colors like blue or bronze really bring them out. Just look at a color wheel for your eye color’s complementary color.

Catherine Avatar

I have blue eyes so using a bright gold eyeshadow really makes them pop. I use True Gold by BE wet and my eyes have never looked more blue.

Ramlah Avatar

Curled lashes, groomed brows and a bright highlight on the inner corner; these are my tips for opening up the eyes, and making the pop. Curling lashes litterally does open up the eyes, groomed brows mean the eyes stand out, without having to compete for attention with unruly brows, and the bright eyeshadow on the inner corner reflects light back onto the eyes, all adding to the effect or wide, bright eyes!

CoCo Avatar

I love putting a glittery eyeliner in my waterline like mac’s pearlglide eyeliners. The glitter will get onto my lower lashes and it gives my inner rim and my lashes a wet glossy look thats amazing!

May Avatar

i apply false lashes on the outer corners of my eyes and some eyliner on the lid, water line and smudge it a bit to make my eyes really big + some white pearl eyeshadow in the inner corners:)

Holly Avatar

To make my eyes and the shadow I’m wearing really POP I like to start with a good base. MAC’s Painterly Paint Pot gives me a wonderful blank canves that I can easily build color on

Jenny Avatar

To make my eyes pop? It is definately using a flesh-toned eyeliner to the waterline and to definately use an off-white shadow for the inner corner of the eyes. Those definately made my chinky asian eyes more wider and kawaii 😀

Ella Avatar

My favorite beauty tip to make eyes pop is to tight line the upper lash line underneath the top lashes. When you have sparse eyelashes like me, this definitely adds much needed emphasis.

Adrine Avatar

My favorite tip is to brighten eyes with a white eyeliner in the water line, but I prefer to use the NYX jumbo pencil in Milk.

Madison Avatar

My favorite beauty tip to make your eyes pop is to use a NAVY BLUE eyeliner on the top line.

It may not pop out as a blue color all the time, maybe just a less harsh black but it makes the whites of your eyes whiter and your eyes look bigger and brighter! =]

May Avatar

i have small eyes so my trick is to apply false lashes on the outer corners and apply a white frosty eyshadow on the inner corners of my eyes and line the upper and lower lashline with black eyeliner and line the water line as well u will have big sexy eyes 🙂

Michelle Avatar

My tip: Choose a shadow to smudge on the lower lash line within the same color spectrum, but not the same as used on the top portion of the eye. It creates an awesome “different” illusion and makes others double take

Ada Avatar

light neutral colour on the lids with bit of black liner on the outer lash line. I find that this technique makes my eyes look fresh and bright especially when the shadow catches light and contrasts with the liner

natalie Avatar

I love putting purple eyeliner on my lower lashline to make my green eyes pop. I also love putting black liner on my upper waterline to give it a dramatic pop.

Meesh Avatar

To make my eyes pop (Asian eyes) I use a peachy gold color from inner corner to about half way and finish with black liner on the top lashline. Across the bottom lashline I pick a bright color like purple, or teal and sweep it across, right under my lashes. I leave the waterline alone because I’ve got small eyes.

Maddy Avatar

I like to line my lower lash line and waterline with a shimmery gold liner. It’s light enough to brighten the area, but still adds definition and a little sparkle.

Jess A Avatar

I wear glasses so sometimes I like to put a really bright shadow just under my lashline in a way that really stands out 🙂

wbwrightMakeupArtist Avatar

I like to make my brown eyes stand out by doing a nice smoky eye.
Put Soft Ochre on eyelid as a base
Slick Black or Dirty Greasepaint over lid up to crease. It can be put on messy, as I then blend it out to give a dark base to apply Smut over.
I then like to add a light touch of purple in the crease, depending on the event, it can be a dark plum or a brighter purple like Stars and Rockets. (Purple brings in that POP and brings out the green in my brown eyes)
For the brow highlight I use Naked Pigment most of the time, adding a small dab to the inside corner and blending out and up into the darker colors. I also make sure to use a shimmer, highlight or other light colored eyeshadow at the outer corner blending up toward end of brow to soften the whole look.
I line the waterline and lower lash line in Smolder and then do my mascara (either kinda messy, clumpy if going for Rock look or with false eyelashes for more glamour)
I make sure to contour my cheeks well as it draws the eye to my eyes. Of course, the lips are left fairly natural or nude/pinkish.

But hey thats just MY eyes… I love to get creative with all eye shapes and colors! I hope I win, I would have sooo much fun with the prizes!

Sonja Avatar

My favorite eye look is to use a brown shadow but one with some reddish tones. Not super red but just kind of a burnt sienna look. Then I always use a flesh toned or peach toned pencil on the waterline. One of my fave quads that has great colors is the Sonia Kashuk smoke in your eyes quad. I use the reddish brown on the lid, the med brown in the crease, and then use the black as a liner on my upper lid. I think this tends to be my fave look for my eyes which are brown.

Alexandra Avatar

Kat Avatar

I use highlighter under my browbone and in the inner corner of my eye, then I use either my MAC Springsheen blush or a shade like Paradisco lightly above the crease. Looks awesome with my hazel-brown eyes.

Alexandra Avatar

I’m following my sense of colour. Not the four season colour types theory, I don’t like it. I prefer the colour theory, which is usually used by artists and those who work with colour.

So, having gray-blue eyes, I dyed my hair red. It actually works. =)

Lauren Avatar

I’d LOVE to win.. =\ Don’t have anything from this collection yet. Ok, my favorite tip is probably to have gigantic (natural) lashes. I think any look (or bare eyes) look better with long, lush lashes and they sure make your eyes “pop!”

I have thin tiny lashes and use Shiseido’s the Make Up Mascara Base and Prestige My Biggest Lashes. It works the same for me as my other fav. YSL Faux Cils but is WAY cheaper. I also curl with N.Y.C.’s lash curler (with the purple rings on the little handles.) It’s super cheap and worked better (for me personally) than the Shu Uemura and a bunch of other Revlon curlers. =)

Use any mascara/tools that’s good for YOU personally.

i love to line my waterline with stila’s eyeliner in topaz (gold/skin toned) because it isn’t as harsh and obvious as white eyeliner, and this on blends in with you skin more. Also i think applying your highlight colour in the inner corners of your eyes helps. Giving your eyes dimension, by deepening your crease, highlighting your brow bone or even applying a skin toned eyeshadow just on your lid, makes a huge difference too.

I correct any discolorations in the eye area (ie; dark circles or allergy redness)
-light shimmer in the inner corners and under the brow bone to keep everything fresh and bright.
-curl lashes
-few coats of mascara
and sometimes depending on the desired effect, my waterline sees some jade green, navy blue, or white/cream eyeliner action.

that’s pretty well the basic “pop” things I do 🙂

Using primer makes shadows pop, which makes eyes pop 😛 But on a less tangential note — a light, shimmery (but not chunky-shimmery) shadow on the inner 1/2 of my lower lashline. It makes a bit of a difference for most people, but for my monolids, the difference is HUGE!

Saamantha Avatar

I love wearing gold shadow (Goldmine by MAC) in my tear duct area and towards the middle of my lid with a purple shadow on the outer V and crease. The purple makes my green eyes pop and the gold really brightens up my look. 🙂 A smokey brown shadow for a lower lashline liner finishes up the look =]

Kara Avatar

My favorite tip is to use an appropriate lipstick to play off of your eyes. Muting the lips is a sure way to make eyes pop.

Julia Avatar

As an art teacher, I try to use a little color theory when planning a makeup look: If you use complementary colors (opposites) they will make the other pop, so for blue eyes any type of eyeshadow/liner that has an an orange base to it (golds, corals, light bronzes, red based browns, as well as blue). For green eyes any thing that has a red base (reddish bronze, cranberry, reddy browns, red violet, as well as green). For hazel eyes go with purples, and brown eyes can pretty much do the works!

Danielle Avatar

I love wearing shimmery gold colors-they really bring out my blue eyes. Plus, gold can either be used as a wash for my work-day look, or paired with almost any other color for evening.

Michelle Avatar

Holly-Rae Avatar

I like to use colours that contrast with the colour of the person’s eyes, it never fails to bring out the truest colour. For me, that’s orange and reds to make my blue eyes look super big and blue. I cover the lid, bring the colour down into the corner of my eye (by my tear duct) and underneath the lower lashes. My favourite colour of the moment is Neon Yellow pigment from Model’s Own. Using one, matte colour brings attention to the eyes in a way that a muddle of shimmers and frosts can’t. To give a finished look I tightline with Zero pencil from Urban Decay and top off with LOADS of black mascara. It’s super simple and looks edgy without being so dark that it closes up the eye.

Instead of using eyeliner on the waterline, i like to put a Shimmersand shade stick at my bottom lashes and but Smut eyeshadow over it (outer half, really close to lash line) allowing Shimmersand to still show outside of Smut, and the inner corner (hopefully this isn’t confusing, haha)

Ashley Avatar

I choose eyeliners that really bring focus on my brown eyes, like a shimmering plum, a navy, or teal. I use a light platinum silver around my tear duct. I do this with my daily makeup routine: curl, liner and mascara.

They are golden green, and red make up (or gold) make them brighter and shinny.
Hope you’ll understand what I try to explain (sorry for my English, I’m French!).
I RT your giveaway on Twitter and also on Facebok.
Thanks for this giveaway! xoxo

I have blue eyes, so I’ll wash a skintone shade all over my lid to the brow, small highlight at the brow, and then I use MAC’s Expensive Pink eyeshadow in my crease…my eyes look crazy blue because of the orange/gold/pink color!

Chelsea Avatar

You might think a dark eyeliner on your waterline will make your eyes look smaller but to me it makes my dark brown eyes really stand out. I usually use a navy eyeliner rather than black or brown.

Izzy Avatar

I love using a burnished copper or gold eyeshadow, and smudging some white pencil in the inner corners (it’s creamier than a shadow, and it blends better, making your eyes pop “naturally”!)

chibicheeks Avatar

whenever I do my makeup, I always wing my eyeliner. I don’t know if it makes my eyes “pop” per se, but I think it makes them look great ^_^

Tori Avatar

neutral eye with a pop of color on the lower lashline i find always works 🙂 or just any eyeshadow that works with your eye color like purple for green eyes, etc.

Anita Avatar

Curl lashes and line with a complementary colour to the irises. For my brown eyes, a cyan / blue green like Cargo’s Aegean works beautifully. When I’m feeling a bit bolder, I lightly dust the whole lid with Aegean. Kapow!

Karliah Avatar

If I’m going somewhere special (like Law Ball coming up in a few weeks WEE!) I always do a black smokey eye with a twist. I use either my black MAC Greasepaint stick or blackground paintpot and cover my lid, I then blend out and smear on the smallest amount of vaseline. MAC is the only product I have found that you can do this with (all others crease to no end!) and surprisingly, this lasts all night with moving. It creates a lovely greasy, slick look which is so now! I love it, and it really suits my “overcast blue” eyes.

Shanna A Avatar

Leti Avatar

I think that to make eyes pop it’s always good to wear a light color on the lid, something like a light champagne (I’m thinking of Shroom or even Motif) and then something not too dark in the crease. Also I avoid very heavy liner (like black or dark brown), especially in the waterline!

may Avatar

That is to line the upper waterline? lash line? with a black eyeliner – makes my small eyes more defined.
Also, i
I always find that a light wash of a bright eyeshadow always makes the eyes look fresh and pop out no matter what color , shape or size.

TheSerpentsApple Avatar

Nude liner on the water line!!! Which is *exactly* why I am participating because I desperately want the NW 15/20 kohl and EVERYONE is sold out of it in my area. (pout).

Stila’s is just way too pink . . . makes me look like I have liver damage or something. 🙁

Micah Constantino Avatar

to make my eyes pop, I use pastel or light colored shimmery eyeshadows on the corners of the eye or tear duct area, or sometimes I would use a flesh colored pencil to line my waterline. Lastly, a good coat of mascara completes the look! 🙂

Shi Avatar

My tip (which applies to any eye look) is to use eye drops! Regardless of how well blended a smokey eye is, the effect is diminished if your eyes look red and irritated!

Melody Avatar

Lining my lower (outer half)lashline with a bright teal or blue pencil and setting with similar colour eyeshadow… Finish off by lining inner-half of waterline with Benefit’s Eyebright 🙂

When I use any colored eyeliner on my lower lashline, instead of going from the outer corner towards the inner corner of your eye, I go from outer corner towards half-way. Making sure that where I ended looks sharp. (hard to explain)

To make my eyes pop no matter what dark or light color i use on the lid, i use a turquoise color liner to line my bottom line and then smudge it with same dark color on the lid …. m brown skinned with light brown eyes and trust me it looks wicked !!

Margie Avatar

My favourite tip to make eyes pop is to use a gold shimmery shadow along the lower lashline and the inner corners. Thanks for the competition Christine! Fingers crossed! 😀

DoDe Avatar

I like to line the outer two thirds of my eyes for a wide/doe-eyed look. Then follow up by lining the water line with a flesh toned pencil or even studio finish concealer.

Mei Ping Avatar

To make my eyes pop, I would use a neutral shade of eyeshadow, black eyeliner and a black mascara just like how they do it in the Japanese magazines.

Brittany Avatar

I love a little bit of Benefit’s Bright Eye pencil on the inner tear duct area. No matter the look, that wakes me right up!

Awesome question!

Hailey Avatar

I use white eyeshadow in the inner corners of my eyes, a nude coloured eyeliner on my lower waterline and dark purple or navy to line my upper lashline. Brown or black eyeliner make my eyes looks yellowish and tired.

Melissa Avatar

My favorite tips (I have 2) to make my eyes pop are to line my waterline with a flesh colored pencil (like the new nc15/nc20) then go just underneath that liner with a darker liner, the other is to use a light base on the center of my lid – for example I’ll use MAC’s beige-ing shade stick on the center of my lid, use a lighter shadow on top with the darker colors on crease, outer corner and then go back over the center of lid with a light accent color (like vanilla or nylon) for an extra shimmer :o)

JD Avatar

I have blue/grey eyes…my usual go-to look is this;
stila’s kitten eyeshadow in the inner corners
mac’s naked lunch on the lid
mac’s paradisco or expensive pink on the outer corner
mac’s stars and rockets in the crease
and black eyeliner on the lashline…and i’m talking rightinthelashes close

when I’m reccomending stuff to my friends, I usually go with silver and cranberry colours for green eyes, and purples or dark browns for brown eyes.

Alayna Avatar

Metallics are the greatest way to make your eyes pop…particularly metallics that compliment your eye color–golds for brown eyes, silver for blue eyes, coppers from green eyes. I like to add a smoky effect to increase the contrast between the lid and the crease to further the pop factor, BUT I like to use matte shadow’s when it comes to the smoke and hue of the crease color to MATCH that of the eye! Dust the lower lid with the metallic in the inner, and crease color in the middle, and a dark brown or gray on the outer (depending on your eyes color), add some mascara and BAM 🙂 Pop ensues.

Lena Avatar

I make my eyes pop by lining my inner corner with Shroom. Just apply it as liner by using a bit of water 🙂

Also getting enough sleep … nothing beats being rested look. naturally glow and eyes just look better 🙂

Nikkie Avatar

My fav beauty tip is white eyeshadow/liner at the inner corners of eyes. It makes my Asian eyes look bigger and it makes me look more awake!

Thanks for having a contest 🙂

amrita Avatar

To make my eyes pop I always use a flesh toned eyeliner on my waterline. I don’t like using white cause that can look to harsh, so I stick with a flesh toned eyeliner.

Sanee Avatar

I love to line my lower lash line with mufe aqua green. My upper waterline with a black kohl and mac’s shell cream colour base on my lids with black mascara!

Joyce Avatar

My favourite tip to make eyes pop is to line the waterline with a blue or green liner! I ususally use MUFE’s liners!

Sarah Avatar

I have blue eyes and I love using a white shadow on the lid with a bronzy crease color and a pop of orange or peach and some black eye liner…. and Ever Hip lipstick sets off the whole look making my blue eyes pop!

Fernanda Baldo Avatar

Amanda Avatar

My favorite way is to just use MAC’s ricepaper in the inner corner and swept under the eye a tiny bit with a flesh colored pencil on the waterline. looks so fresh!

Thincspot Avatar

Whatever colors I choose to wear, the three point highlight always works best to make my eyes pop:
1) Shimmer under the browbone
2) Shimmer on the inner eye corner
3) pale yellow or white pencil on the lower water line (half way from the outer corner and blended away towards the inner corner).

Mindy Avatar

My fav thing to do with my uber dark brown eyes in use my Bourjois Metallise Regard Effet liner in Bleu Clinquat on my waterline. It’s such a bright pretty blue.

chelsea Avatar

my favorite beauty tip to make eye’s pop is to add a black or a peach color into the water line, I just love the way it intensifies your eyes for a dramatic look!

Wei Avatar

my tip to give eyes pop are mascaras and eyeliners~~, and use a dark brown eyeshadow to blend out the liner. It is very quick and really works~!

Olivia Avatar

my favourite thing to do to make my eyeshadow pop is to do a neutral eye with a line on colour either on my upper lash line or lower lash line

shelley desmond Avatar

my favourite way to make eyes pop is to use cranberry eyeshadow by mac with sketch in the outer corner.i have hazel eyes and it really shows up the green in them!!everyone always comments on the colour of my eyes whenever i do that particular look!! 🙂

Nancy F. Avatar

i found a fab drugstore beauty find by almay. it’s their eye brightener. it works great on those mornings i need a little bit more help waking up! 🙂

Amber Avatar

I find the combination of Patina with a bit of Sketch smudged on the outer corner really makes my eyes POP!!! The goldy light brown combined with the purple makes my green eyes really stand out.

Mariana Avatar

I like using Too Faced label wh*re to make my brown eyes pop, or sometimes i’ll use benefit’s skinny jeans with a smokey green eye pencil to create a smokey eye that also makes my brown eyes pop.

Liz Avatar

The thing I do that makes the biggest impact by far is curling my eyelashes and applying a good mascara. Second is using a primer or base to get rich colour.

jillo Avatar

Having properly groomed eyebrows that are nicely filled in with the right colour. Eyebrows frame your eye and can make or break a look.

Cindy :P Avatar

do not use black eyeliner! if you are not too comfortable wearing bright colors, go with a navy blue or a plu. Light, shimmery shadow in the inner corners also makes eyes POP without too much thought (:

Rosie G Avatar

My favorite is to put a golden eyeshadow on the middle of my lid, the color brings out the golden flecks of my eyes out and boom pop! lol

Krisna Rodriguez Avatar

Besides using eyeliner – you can curl your eyelashes before using mascara & keep your eyebrows manicured.

Kate Avatar

I have blue eyes, and I adore using Indianwood paint pot on the lid with a deep navy liner on the waterline. The gold really emphasizes the blue, and the navy defines the eyes without being as harsh as black liner. Totally love it!

Carolynn Avatar

My favorite way is to use a soft brown on the lids and a dark brown in the crease the i line my top lashes with stila smudge pot and then only on the top lashes i use benefit plum mascara

Ariel Avatar

My favorite thing to do that makes my small almond shaped eyes pop is to use MAC’s satin taupe eyeshadow as a wash on my lid over painterly paintpot and line only my upper lash line with MAC’s blacktrack fluidline. Then I apply 2 coats of MAC plushlash mascara to my upper lashes and Stila’s kajal eyeliner in topaz to my waterline!
This way my eyes look defined but not any smaller! 😀

Madeleine Avatar

My fav tip would be line my waterline with brown or bronze eye liner and highlight my inner tear-duck with something shimmery!

angeLven Avatar

I want to win MAC Pret-a-Papier Goodies. To make my eyes pop, i wear a couple coats of mascara and shimmery beige eyeliner on my waterline.

Isobel Avatar

UDPP, Brule all over the lid to lighten the eyes and into the inner corner, simple, thin clean mac black track fluid line on top lashes and UD Flipside 24/7 liner on the bottom lash line for that POP of colour! Then loreal telescopic on the lashes 🙂

lalala1719 Avatar

Mac paint pot in Painterly! I love how it totally wakes up my eyes for a natural look, or provides the perfect base for any color I choose 🙂

vivian Avatar

my favorite way to make my eyes pop is to curl my eyelashes and then a wash of shimmery champagne eyeshadow. it looks so pretty!

GG Avatar

I adore a good, old fashioned line of Blacktrack over a shimmery champagne – I like Benefit Birthday Suit. I used to use white liner along my waterline when I was younger, but it was always too harsh, which is why I’m clamouring to try the chromagraphic pencils!

Victoria Avatar

I used to hate doing this, but black waterlining + tightlining. I know, it’s a lot of black eyeliner, but pair it with some colorful shadows, and my eyes look really really brown.

diana Avatar

i like to put vaseline on my eyelashes, and a light, skin toned eyeshadow over my lids. natural and very eye opening!

Niki Avatar

I find that to make eyes really pop (especially for tanned skin people) is to apply a golden bronzey shadow like MAC’s bronze all over the lid then apply a thick line of electric blue liner like MAC’s smooth blue technikohl liner to the upper and lower lash line

Kristy Avatar

I like to line my waterline with a bright blue eyeliner to make them look whiter 🙂 if only if I had blue peep, sigh!

Emily Avatar

Favorite tip to make eyes pop: highlighting the inner “v” of your eye with a white or gold eyeshadow is a no brainer….but since I have blue eyes, I also like to pick out colors on the opposite side of the color wheel…so warm browns, peaches, oranges…it really brings my eyes out. =)

Erica3131 Avatar

my favorite thing is to put my highlight in my inner corners. or a put a white eye shadow base under my eyes before i apply my concealer!

yoon cho hee Avatar

my favorite way to make my eyes pop is adding white! a shimmery highlight in the inner corners, waterline, and brow bone does the trick.

Andrea Avatar

I love using deep shimmery colours like MAC’s Humid on my lids, with alot of black mascara to make my brown eyes pop!

Cody Avatar

My favorite tip is just the classic combo of black liner on the upper lash line and loads of black mascara! Simple but effective.

Jane Avatar

Liquid eyeliner, any color on the top lash line. Since I have monolids, alot of eye products are hard to incorporate and normal eyeliner wipes off easily. Liquid eyeliner stays on and gives a bold look for my eyes.

Jill Avatar

I love to line my upper lash line with MAC fluidline and wing it out for a cat eye effect, it ends up being cute yet classy, and draws the attention!

Carmen Avatar

Hi Christine,
My favorite way to make my eyes pop is to use a bright, contrasting shadow (for example a purple or blue shade) on my lids and line the bottom with a diffeent but more subtle shade. Then lots of mascara and a highlighter on the brow bone.

Melissa Avatar

I think the best way to make my eye’s really pop is add a light but bright purple eye liner (like Lancome’s) to the top of my lid, and curl my lashes and put on the blackest mascara I have (Voluminous). It really makes my yellow green eyes “pop”! 🙂

roslynd Avatar

for me, just curling my eyelashes and a sweep of mascara will make my eyes pop (i have long eyelashes, so i dont usually curl them unless i want dramatic)

sindy Avatar

To make my eyes pop, I like to use KOJI Curving Eyelash Curler. Unlike other eyelash curlers, Koji Curving Eyelash Curler is of brand new design. 38mm size curler curls up all eyelashes. Its lightly-curved shape covers the roots of eyelashes, bringing radial eyelashes. In addition to this, I love using Model Co heated eyelash curler. It’s perfect for curling my lashes even more and keep them in place all day. I use it after my mascara dries…This tool is great for travel or just to keep in the make up bag!

Sasha Avatar

A defined lashline with a slight wing at the outer corner plus curled lashes (with a great mascara, of course) is an easy way to make my eyes stand out!

Shirley Avatar

Using colored eyeliner on the waterlines to make a subtle but noticeable pop. If I want something more dramatic, would use bright colors on the inner corners of my eyes and the colored eyeliner.

cmferret Avatar

thanx christine, i would love to win!
to make my eyes pop, i add a soft wash of color all over the eye ( mac devil may care, or mac blue socery mineralized e.s ) then a matte off white e/s (mac vanilla) on the upper brow bone blended in. then a darker, more bolder or brighter sparkling cordinating color on the lower lash line. then to finesh the look, just a simple soft blush and nude or pink lipstick.

Crystal Avatar

Work real good on the eyes…Don’t apply to much. Just enough for it too pop. Use your brushes to mix it in to get a good effect. You can also use you hand you a better job. Remember to clean your face, hands, and brushes before useing.

kiera rodriguez Avatar

my tip: i have blue/green eyes and if i wear a orangy clolor like straw harvest on lid and a purply color in the crease, my eyes POP!

Michelle Avatar

Hey Christine! My favorite is to line my lower lids with bright purple! i usually line it with a black creamy eyeliner first, then use either Urban Decay’s Ecstasy or Flash eyeshadow. It really brings out my brown eyes!

Talya Avatar

i love using urban decays 24/7 liner in bourbon along my upper lash line, and a fleshy colored (much like macs new chromographic pencil) along my waterline. ill then highlight key points like my brow bone and inner eyes with macs ricepaper eyeshadow, and blend macs wedge along the rest of my lid, with folie in the crease. ill finish it off with benefit’s badgal mascara in brown. its the perfect neutral eyes for me that pops my eyes, makes me look polished and awake!! 🙂

grace peng Avatar

line your upper and lower lash line with any blue, teal , or aqua colors depending on your eye color they may be darker but do that and especially brown eyes, it will make them pop. also line your water line with black or brown and line the outer upper lash line to make the color last longer

maria Avatar

I have two ways. first I put a bit of white sparkly shadow in the tear duct But mostly what I do in a rush is reach for MAC rubenesque or bare study (both gorgeous shimmery colours) paint pot and use finger to apply to lid and that lightens and brightens my eyes.

aleli Avatar

I apply MAC’s painterly paint pot to make my eyes instantly pop. And sometimes line my lower lids with stila kajal eyeliner in topaz 🙂

Lucia Avatar

Lining your waterline with a shimmery beige color to make eyes look bigger and POP. Beige is more natural looking and less stark than white, which can also make your eyes look less white.

Gretchen Avatar

I sometimes like to use a neutral shadow on my lid, like a beige/sand color, and use a bright purple, green, or blue liner on the bottom lash line ONLY.

michelle Avatar

I would use a paintpot or a shadestick to make your eyeshadow POP. I like a white or really light tan base personally.

Kitty Avatar

Definitely use mascara and eyeliner on at least the waterline. I find it makes my eyes much bigger than it is without it!

baybee415 Avatar

You have the most amazing prizes! Just wow! 🙂 I make my eyes pop by lining the waterline and curling my eyelashes.

Victoria Avatar

I have small asian eyes and because of this, NEVER line my waterline. I usually don’t apply any liner underneath my lashline, although when I wear more dramatic looks I like to smudge a bit of matte brown eyeshadow or Dipdown liner under my lower lashline to define my eyes. I also like to wear a really glowy, golden, shimmery eyeshadow wash that makes my eyeshadow really make my eyes pop. Bronze eyeshadow is my favorite for accentuating my eyes.

mer111 Avatar

Janet Avatar

my favorite tip to make your eyes pop is to always curl your lashes (if they don’t naturally curl up) and apply mascara. even if you’re not wearing any other makeup this will make you look more awake.

Alicia Avatar

I do love a simple eye with a pop of a bright colored liner but that seems to be a go to for everyone else….

I get the most complements on my eyes when I don’t use any liner and I use purples and lots of mascara.

Think Urban Decay Fishnet all over the lid and along the bottom lash line and ransom in the crease. Nothing but love for it!

Julian Avatar

I use studio finish concealer under my eyes (NW20) to brighten, pro longlash or zoom mascara to open up the eye, and a neutral contouring eyeshadow to sculpt the eye. Then i use MAC brow marker and vanilla as a highlighter. 😉

Lorraine Avatar

My fave way to make my eyes pop is simply wearing mascara! I have sensitive eyes so I don’t put mascara on a daily basis with simple makeup and when I do people always notice my eyes!!! I hope I win!!!

Tiffany Avatar

I have hazel eyes. They really pop when I use pink-plums or gold eyeshadow. Rimmel used to make an eyeliner called Ginger Tea – and it pops the amber/green in my eyes beautifully. The plums really pull out the green.

Kristy Avatar

I love to put Stila’s kajal eyeliner in topaz on my waterline. It really makes me eyes look brighter and more awake!
