What’s your go-to product to minimize/soften skin imperfections? Share your secrets!

First, foundation/concealer is always good for evening out the skin tone.  For giving skin a soft focus look, I like Guerlain Meteorites.

it’s all about moisture. drinking lots of water to stay hydrated, moisturizing well before makeup application, and moisturizing afterward with a spritz of water makes all the difference.

I adore YSL Touche Eclat, & definitely agree about foundation & concealer. Even somthing like MAC Studio Moisture Tint helps me hide slight imperfections like redness, etc.

Have you used the Dior skinflash pens? Ive heard so much about the YSL ones but my Sephora doesn’t carry them. Im wondering if it’s worth my time (and lack of an employee discount) to go on a hunt for one.

Boots No 7(Target) and Milani(CVS) both make similar products that work similarly and are much less expensive((13.00 and 8.00,respectively).

It used to be YSL Touche Eclat, as long as I wore foundation over it, at one time. Now any concealer that matches me looks good and for now I’m using the MAC Pro Longwear Concealer. Bobbi Brown Creamy Concealer Kit is really wonderful too though; I think I ran out of the powder in it before I ran out of the concealer in it but I can’t remember now.

I don’t know how to create a soft focus look though. LOL

Dr Brandt Pores no more, Dior Skin Nude loose powder and Dior skinflash in candlelight for under the eyes. Best no make up look Ive ever created.

Too Faced’s Primed and Poreless, but I only need to use it on my chin. I’ve also been using LUSH’s fresh face masks the night before and it tends to work out everything.

Clinique Moisture Surge is great to soften my skin and get it ready for makeup. Cover Girl Simply Ageless Eye Concealer works great to cover my sun spots. I also use MAC Studio Finish Concealer where I need more coverage. And Clinique Pore Minimizer is great to even out my nose’s skin!

My Thin Lizzy beeswax based concealer dabbed on and blended over foundation, then an application of Scott Barnes Diamond Dust loose powder which gives a lovely soft illuminating finish. I buff it in a wee bit, then finish with a tad more swept downwards.

I have had cystic adult acne and melasma pigmentation patches for over 10 years so I know ALL about skin imperfections – I am on treatments for both now and when I get complements on my skin, it TOTALLY makes my day.

estee lauder’s idealist, ANR, daywear, and doublewear foundations

fresh umbrian clay mask (but planning to try Keihl’s on your reviews)

I dab on rose water to calm my skin, put on a very soft moisturizer or Benefit’s That Gal. A light foundation and a little concealer on the red bumps or spots.
