I don’t know if I have a go to combo. Usually I go with something that complements my shirt *g* If I’m wearing a bright red shirt, or a shirt in some shade of red, I’ll go with a sheerer gloss, maybe Bobbi Brown Citrus (I love this one) or Pink Sequin. If I’m wearing a more neutral shirt, I’ll wear a brighter lipstick or gloss. I used to wear Guerlain Garance for all social events, back when I had maybe two high end lipsticks. Now I have, um, more options, so I’ll go with whatever strikes my fancy and matches my clothes.
I go for the opposite at night as I usually wear a darker smokier eye and then dig into my pale champagne, or neutral shimmery shades: MAC Frou, OCC Pris. I also find it more forgiving when my evening involves eating and drinking. My lower lip curls under and I frequently end up with lipstick in the freaking crease of my chin. So charming! ٩(×̯×)۶
This happens to me to!! Especially when I eat a sandwich or something because my lower lip will touch my chin. This is also why I tend to play up my eyes when I know I’ll be going out to dinner or the like.
I don’t have a specific “go-to” lip… I guess if I had to pick one, it would be something like L’Oreal Pink Nude & LORAC Vintage gloss, if I’m doing a heavier eye. If I’m doing a lighter, more neutral eye, I’ll go with a deep red or plum lipstick, no gloss. I’ve been loving Revlon Black Cherry, for the time being.

If I’m doing a smoky eye – Carbon reverse liner with Mac Myth and Mac Budding Love Lioglass
If I’m keeping the eyes neutral (or not, and want to go all out!) – Mac Nightmoth Pencil with Mac Cyber and a bit of Mac Dark as Night Lipglass. . . BOOM.
I will lipline my lips and would use my favorite lipstick, Chanel Legende, it´s a deep pink shade on me, with gold mixed in it aswell, by far the shade that I have found to be the most flattering on me. If I´m going to eat dinner I wouldn´t use lipgloss since I find it fades much faster and easier after a meal, while lipstick generally doesn´t fade on me at all. If however I´m just going to have drinks or very light food like finger food I would top my Legende lipstick with glossimer Mirage, for sparkle and better color 🙂 .

I don’t think I have a go to lip. But probably something hot pink or red. I know I don’t have a combo because I’m not a gloss person lol.
It varies – Chanel Dragon, NARS Luxembourg, Guerlain Gigolo, MAC Viva Glam Nicki l/s and l/g are all recent picks for me.

For me it depends on the season and what I’m wearing as well some of my favorite night time lips are- MAC Girl About Town w MAC Magenta lip liner, YSL Rouge Volupte Forbidden Burgundy w MAC Currant lip liner, MAC Red w MAC Cherry lip liner and Lancome 322B lipstick, I haven’t found a good coral lip liner (open to recommendations). Love pairing a lip liner with a bold lip makes it last that much longer!
If I go out. I like to switch it up by sometimes wearing a natural pink lip color (maybelline-forgot the name) if I have smokey eyes or if neutral I love to pop on either blood red or a plum color (Vino from Victoria’s Secret).
I’m just sad I can’t find my favorite blood red lippy! (it was missha, moisturizing lipstick)
I mainly like to wear Hot Spot (Victoria’s Secret) when I go to work or hang out with friends. Its kind of like a fuchsia-but not as bright as MAC Candy Yum Yum/

I have so many lipsticks that I’d feel guilty having one as my “special event” go-to. I will say that Guerlain Gigolo, Chanel Dragon and YSL Pourpre Carmin do always make me feel very dressy, though. I rarely ever combine lipstick and gloss. I always opt for one or the other.
Nars shanghai express lipstick and rouge sinner lipstick from lipstick queen. No lipgloss at all. Matte red is gorgeous.
I actually don’t have a lip combo… I’m pretty low maintenance when it comes to my lips and because I prefer to go bold on my eye make-up most of the time, my lips don’t get to wear much. They are very pigmented naturally and I’ll either just use clear lip balm, a gloss or a low maintenance lipstick (I never wear red or any dark colored lipstick), but on their own. I have no exciting combos to talk about :).
I don’t have an actual combo because I only wear gloss, but I usually reach for my MAC Girl About Town Lipglass for a special night out. If I’m in the mood for a more striking look, then MAC Driven by Love is the way to go for me.
I’m almost always with my husband for night’s out and he likes a soft, subtle look on the lips. Lately, my favorite combination is Lancome Rouge in Love Sweet Embrace topped with Too Faced Barely Legal Glamour Gloss. It’s a really pretty and natural light pink look. It’s fun reading everyone else’s responses.
mac pink noveau matted down even more with loose translucent powder (this helps it stay on longer too).
I *never* layer gloss over lipstick cos I can’t stand something that high-maintenance, but for a night out I generally wear either a bright or dark matte lipstick, almost always Nars. In summer I love Schiap and Heat Wave, and in winter I like Trans Europe Express (criminally underrated!) or Red Lizard.
