Serums, with exfoliators coming at a very, very close second. Having oily, acne-prone skin, exfoliators (especially chemical ones) have always been a must for me. I also love seeing the glow! But there’s just something about serums that are so amazing to me–I can’t get enough of them! 😀

Desert Essence Thoroughly Clean Face Wash. A few months ago, I tried the Trader Joe’s version, which listed all of the same ingredients, but it wasn’t quite the same… I also love slathering argan and/or jojoba oil all over my face at night. My skin drinks the oil up, and in the morning, I just swipe with witch hazel, moisturizer & sunscreen, then go about my normal makeup routine.

there is not just one…..eyecream, facecream, serums and exfoliatiors and masks…all hold an important place in skin care. But I must say handcream by Curel….constant all day long since I wash my hands all day long.

Toners! I use Lush’s Breath of Fresh Air. My skin’s sensitive, so I can only exfoliate once a week and do a peel even less often, and moisturizer is kind of dull. Toners make my skin feel nice and clean and pretty.

Lotion fo any kind! I love slathering Trader Joe’s Cocoa Butter lotion on my body, especially in the winter (it’s $4.99 for a tub, smells like frosting, and sinks it right away to leave skin amazingly moisturized), and for my face something rich for winter (like La Roche-Posay Cicaplast, which I haven’t been able to find in the US) or a gel lotion in the summer 🙂

Toner. I use apple cider vinegar. It feels so nice on my skin after washing off my makeup, like my skin just took a deep breath and relaxed.

Exfoliators are my absolute favorite. I’m always on the hunt for exfoliators made with new combinations of natural products. I also make my own. I use sugar, corn meal or sea salt combined with my favorite oils – coconut, grapeseed, lavender, avocado, etc. My 2nd favorite skin care product are body butters.

I do a 25% mandelic acid peel every 2 weeks and no longer need scrubs or a daily AHA. Leaves me smooth and helps with my mild acne/scarring but no downtime for peeling. Love it.

I love the cleansing factor and cooling sensation of astringent on my face! I use Sea Breeze Fresh-Clean Astringent for sensitive skin, and it is a great deep cleanser that removes every trace of makeup and dirt that my regular facial wash may leave behind.

I love exfoliators!!! Grainy scrubs are the best… Love to scrub my face with them and then how soft and smooth my skin feels afterwards. Right now, I’m in love with MAC’s Volcanic Ash Exfoliator!

I absolutely love skincare products. I love oils because they are so multipurpose, but I also adore serums and body exfoliators. Love using my Clarisonic, too.

In terms of how it feels on my skin, moisturizer or face oil: my skin is always so dry after cleansing that slapping on a moisturizer feels heavenly.

In terms of what it does to my skin, chemical exfoliator, particularly Tatcha Gental Rice Enzyme Powder — it leaves my skin so, so soft!

The best feeling for me is removing all my makeup after a long day. Massaging cleanser into my face for a good 2-3 minutes followed by a splash of cold water to rinse off really refreshes my tired skin. There’s nothing better than the feeling of clean skin!

I also like using particularly emollient night creams, the sensation of smooth luxurious cream gliding over clean skin is amazing. It makes the skin feel nourished and refreshed.

I actually now have 3 holy grail skin care items. Just a note, I have sensetive, dry, oily and acne prone skin. It is a nightmare. However, using 3 things has almost cleared it up. The first is Noxzema Triple Clean Anti-Bacterial Lathering Cleanser. The anti-bacterial bit kills most of the acne causing bacteria on my face, but it doesn’t dry my skin out. My next love is No7 Total Renewal Micro-Dermabrasion Exfoliator. I LOVE this stuff. It totally clears my pores out and fades my acne scars. Finally, I know the Clarisonic is probably way better, but the cheapie L’oreal Fresh Effects face scrubbie thing really helps to keep my pores clear. Each product helped me a bit, but together I almost have good skin.

Chemical exfoliants, specifically glycolic and lactic acid. I love how smooth my skin feels the next morning! I’m careful not to abuse them, though.
