What's your favorite type of finish for your eyeshadow?
Really rich, smooth metallics–the kind that are bright and shiny but very, very smooth so they look almost “melted” on the skin.

I’m a sucker for anything shiny or sparkly. I just cannot do all mattes. I need shimmer and shine…for life!
Mattes, as they work best on my very hooded eyes. But I also like a smooth shimmer, exactly the way Christine described it, mostly for my lids.
This is a hard question because I love eyeshadow so much!!! I do love a good smooth metallic, like Christine, but I also really love duochrome sparkly finishes too! And satins! and yummy smooth mattes. lol.
I love a good smooth foiled metallic as well.
Finishes like MAC’s Velux Pearl and Inglot’s Pearl typify my favourite type of finish – a rich sheen without flaky glitter. I do use matte shadows as well, for contouring and blending but in terms of favourites, I love me some sheen, so I do!
Duochrome and multi-chrome. I love when I can get different colors out of the same shadow depending on where on the eye it is and how it’s been applied and what it’s been applied over.
Molton metallics and silky satins for my mobile lid, and easy to blend, velvety mattes and soft satins for my crease and browbone. This is what I need as I have very hooded almond shaped eyes, therefore I cannot do an all metallic or shimmer eye look very easily.
I would always and always have a good quality mate eyeshadow as my favorite. 😀
I love anything shimmery and if it has a duochrome finish that makes it even better. I have hooded eyes so they don’t always show up great but I know that it is there!
Lovvvve a duochrome!!! ?
My preference for eyeshadow finishes are either soft shimmers, satins or metallics. I just don’t do mattes or glitter at all. Even though I have hooded eyes, the mattes tend to disappear and make me look ‘flat’ so I never use them.
Shimmer, satin and metallic if it’s not super reflective. Mattes have a purpose for me, especially in the crease, but rarely seem exciting. (The plain baked potato of eyeshadows?)
A satiny finish on the brow bone is lovely but on my crease matte is what I am leaning towards now because my eyelids are starting to get crepey there.
Shimmers, metallics, and duo-/multi- chromes. I love anything that catches the light.
I need them all in my life, with the exception of glitter, so I do not have a favourite.
I do get a sense of achievement smoking out a really nice matte
I get a sense of excitement using a PMG foil on my mobile lid
I actually love good mattes and satines if the formula provides rich payoff and easy blending. My other favourites are shimmers, soft, glowy, wet-looking shimmers.
Metallics are okay, but definitely not my favourite.
