Amber Diamond or Sugarbomb? Amber Diamond is probably not going to show up much as a blush. Sugarbomb works for me as a blush!
Amber Diamond – I am pretty light (usually the lightest shade when I get foundation)
i’m pretty pale at the moment and i can use the darker shades of dior amber diamond as a bronzer on my cheeks. if you got the dior rose diamond i think you would be able to use the darker shades of that as a blush is you are pale. the lighter shades work as a highlight xxx

For under eyebrow highlight, I use Mac Goldbit. I have many, many backups cuz it is holy grail to me. I don’t highlight the rest of my face.

Right now I use the lightest shade in my NYC Color Wheel Mosaic Face Powder in “Sunburst”. I don’t know what I’m going to do when that runs out, since it’s LE, and I don’t wanna buy backups just for that one shade. Christine, do you possibly have any suggestions for a fairly cheap highlighter? Because the Dior is too expensive for me, and I think I’m too pale for the Sugarbomb to show up as a blush. BTW, you told me I had warm undertones, and I am slightly tanned. If don’t mind helping me, thanks so much!

I like to highlight with goldish, bronzey colors…I am a MAC NC50 and the only light color I use to highlight (wearable) would be MAC Perfect Topping, Blonde or Redhead MSF and I hear a lot of women of color like to use NARS Albatross, but it look kind of chalky on me so I passed on that. I listed my faves in another comment on here.
Get NARS Albatross! You have to try it out because looking at the pan alone will scare you off. It looks stark white in the pan, but the white disappears on the skin leaving a soft gold glow. It’s fantastic. There are a ton of reviews on Youtube about it.
I’m NC45 and I use MAC’s creme colour base in Hush. It’s fantastic, blends well, and looks amazing when the light hits it.
I agree with sass! I’m a nw50 and I loooove perfect topping by mac,its real pretty without doing too much! And its at the cco now!
MAC MSF in Light Flush, Bobbi Brown shimmerbrick in Rose Shimmer, NARS the multiple in Maldives and Copacabana.
I love Dior Amber Diamond. MAC Candlelight MSF is runner-up.

My most-used would probably be Petticoat 🙂 Just got the Too Faced Leopard Palette and loving that too! Oh and Vanilla Pigment is a good one too!
My favorite is MAC’s Rhapsody in Two Mineralize Blush. I also like Perfect Topping, By Candlelight & Soft and Gentle MSFs.
I like to use Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick as a highlighter, it gives a natural glow.=)
MAC’s By Candlelight MSF. It just imparts the prettiest “from within” glow! 🙂

Dior Amber Diamond for me too! I also have an illuminating tinted moisturizer from Jouer Cosmetics that I purchased but don’t like as a TM, so I use it as a highlight when I want it to look especially subtle and natural. I just got a Temptu highlighter with my Sephora order yesterday (the VIB sample size), and I’m thinking about buying the Jemma Kidd All-Over Radiance Creme because I’ve heard good things about it. I clearly love me some highlighter. 🙂

i use benefit’s high beam before foundation on cheekbones, browbones and cupid’s bow. im planning to buy the new benefit highlighter for that purpose too :). If im after something darker, i use a mac creme bronzer, because they’re glittery!

Mac – By Candelight
My favourite cheek highlighter is actually supposed to be a baked bronzer but it’s way not a bronzer lol.
It was from Claires and only cost something like $5 and it had a lot of yellow gold in it so I wanted to give it a go (I feel I’m too dark for normal bronzers, so I bought this with highlighting in mind!)
And it works lovely. Way better than the Too Faced Candelight I dropped big bucks on 🙁
My favorite highlighters are Pink Rebel and Sun Rush lustre drops from MAC To The Beach collection.
Stila Illuminating Powder in Bronze, MAC Perfect Topping MSF and MAC Min. Blush Duo in A Little Bit of Sunshine (the bronze goldy shimmery half).

I usually use any hilite color in the palette I am using at the time but I REALLY like the color in the Sephora birthday gift. Aspen Summit. I tend to grab that if I am not using of of my palettes.

Daytime- Shell Pearl Beauty Powder from MAC. Ditto for night if I’m doing a lot of gold.
Nighttime- This iridescent white MSF knock off from Revlon. From the drugstore. Similar to MAC iridescent powders like Silver Dusk, Silver Aura, but very strong! Love it! I’m the color of copy paper so to show up it needs spotlight amperage.
Recommend it. Ten bucks!
