What's your favorite blush finish?
I love a slightly dewy blush when it comes to a cream-based formula, and then for powder-based blushes, I like satin to luminous–not super shiny or metallic but definitely a few steps above matte.

Whatever Clinique Cheek Pops is considered to be, that’s my favorite finish!
That’s me too Seraphine!
I like a satin finish for powder blushes.
Again, my preference is for something with a bit of luminosity or sheen. I loved MAC’s Sheertone Shimmer blushes (not sure if they still make those – it’s so hard to tell from how their site is organized now) and the finish of some of the Mineralize blushes, and the Extra Dimension finishes are blissful. Becca’s Luminous blushes are also among my favourites though there weren’t a lot of shades that flattered my skintone and, of course, they’re all no longer available. If I could only wear one blush for the rest of my life, though, it would be Dior’s Rosy Glow Awakening Blush (or MAC Sweet Sentiment Mineralize Blush).
A fine shimmer blush is my favorite but a slight margin, but I like all finishes pretty much the same.
Matte is my go to finish for blush, it looks more natural on me and doesn’t emphasize my pores.
Satin-mattes or lightly luminous for a soft, natural cheek most of the time. Sometimes, though, I also want what Amanda @ Makeup.Just.For.Fun describes as “a casually sweaty cheek”!
Baked gelee blushes – love the old Benefit Rockateur and Gold Rush formulas, can’t believe they’re discontinued now 🙁 they’re creamier and easier to work with than the Clinique Blush Pops
I like a satin with a bit of sheen finish for blush, whether it’s cream, liquid or powder. No sparkle just a little bit of dewiness. MAC Mineralize, MAC Glow Play, Rare Beauty Soft Pinch, Tom Ford and LYS Beauty blushes are some favorite formulas.
I tend to go for semi matte kind of finishes for blushes – Clinique’s Melon Pop blush, The Balm’s Hot Mama are the kind of blush finishes I like the best.
