Please keep discussion on-topic, and if you have general feedback, a product review request, an off-topic question, or need technical support, please contact us!

Please help us streamline the comments' section and be more efficient: double-check the post above for more basic information like pricing, availability, and so on to make sure your question wasn't answered already. Comments alerting us to typos or small errors in the post are appreciated (!) but will typically be removed after errors are fixed (unless a response is needed).

We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! Thank you for understanding!

I guess it would have to be Sephora just by default because it’s the only place to get quite a few of the brands I use or that I’m interested in. Shoppers Drug Mart (the larger locations) would run a close second. They don’t have nearly as many brands in-store but every Thursday, I can get 20% off which is pretty great!

I don’t have one particular favourite beauty retailer as such as I purchase beauty items from a wide range of in store or online places.
For my everyday skincare and DS beauty products I go to the Australian stores of Priceline and Chemist Warehouse.
For online purchases – it’s CP for lipsticks (really good – well packaged and delivered quite quickly), occasionally Ebay from known retailers (very good) and mostly Ozsale – an Australian online retailer that I trust. I rarely go to the brands themselves.

I second about Ulta’s poor packing. I luckily often receive their shipped products faster than Sephora. But it’s a roll of the die how many items will be damaged, broke, leaked, outright spilled, or expired. Or if all ordered items will be received.

I see a lot of comments regarding Ulta shipping and I guess I have been extremely lucky as my Ulta packages always arrive really quickly and in perfect condition. Fingers crossed I didn’t just jinx myself.
I think I would have to say Nordstrom’s. It is the combination of experiences that I like and prefer. I love a good high end department store for the scents, the colors and the general level of professionalism that the SA’s exhibit. At the holidays, I really enjoy the decorations and everything comes together to make a wonderful experience for me.
I do the bulk of my shopping online and mostly from the big three, Nordstroms, Sephora and Ulta. When you live so far away from any store, you have to force yourself to become comfortable with online shopping but I do like to try new products in person before purchasing so I wait until I have a lot to check out before making the trip to an actual brick and mortar store.
I like Sephora for the amount of brands they carry and ordering online is fine but in store I feel very harassed by the SA’s. My daughter and I count how many times we are asked if we need help. Then when you do need them, they are either huddled together talking or have disappeared from the floor.
