What's your current lip care routine?

I mostly use Sara Happ’s The Lip Slip at night. I’m using ILIA and Biossance lip balms in the morning prior to applying whatever lip products I expect to test that day (I wipe off the balm before testing, but just in that time before).

Supergoop Açaí Fusion SPF 30 during the day and the old formula Bite Agave Lip Masque at night. If I am not going outside I wear Tokyomilk Dark Lip Elixir because I love the salted caramel flavor. My lips are not so dry this year, probably because I always wear a mask outside.

Some kind of lip balm every morning like Tarte Quench Lip Rescue or Pat McGrath. I refresh it throughout the day. I’m addicted to lip balm – I hate dry feeling lips! I do lip scrub once or twice a week. Then at night either Laniege’s mask or Aerin Rose Lip Conditioner. The Aerin’s is the perfect cure if my lips are in bad shape.

I only use Nivea Moisture Lip Care Balm!

I am allergic to something in a lot of really greasy lip balms (like Pacifica’s) and lip oils… My lips go numb and blister, not fun! With that being the case, I’m just sticking with one that I love forever. I ALWAYS have lip balm on me, can’t stand not having something on my lips.

I actually kind of nailed my lip care routine this year. Everyday, when at home, I slather on Cerave Healing Ointment on top of wet lips with clean fingers (wet after washing my lips) morning and night. For really chapped lips, Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask is best but I seldom use due to flavor/scent (I avoid REGULAR use of flavor/scent bc it tends to cause irritation down the road). I really wish Laneige would make a fragrance-free, flavor-free, dye-free version of their mask bc its texture, performance and sheen are top-notch.

For times when I leave the house and don’t want my fingers to directly touch my lips, I carry lip balms in stick packaging: Sun Bum High Performance Premium Zinc Lip Balm SPF 30 (the one in black packaging) and Blistex Simple and Sensitive Lip Balm. I was skeptical when Dr. Dray recommended these stick lip balms bc I remember my experience trying other drugstore lip balms but these are really the best stick lip balms — totally blows all other lip balms out of the water.

I brush them with a baby toothbrush, then apply Vaseline in the evening and lip balm in the morning. I always have a lip balm on hand for reapplication throughout the day. That’s really it, simple and it seems to work because even with the mask on all day my lips are not at all chapped.

Right now I’m trying to work through some lip balms I’ve accumulated that I don’t like so much, so I’m using stick balms during the day and the Mamonde Lip Sleeping Mask at night. The latter isn’t a love for me because of the floral scent, and frankly I’m not a fan of applying balm with my fingers—I’ve been using an empty tube of Jack Black to dip into it and apply to my lips, which is also inconvenient because I have to open and close two things!
I switch back to Jack Black for going outside, since my face masks don’t have UPF ratings 🤷

Anything Mamonde knocks you across the room. Their flower essences may not be problematical volatile essential oils, but how much better the products would be without them. Never repurchased a Mamonde product, despite their heavy endorsements. One would think that every co by now would offer unscented versions or lines.

I’ve been using Nivea blackberry during the day, and give my lips a pass over with my Foreo when cleansing in the morning and at night (before applying cleanser).
