Those are my at-the-moment favorites, too! I’m making my way through a Rollerlash deluxe sample…I MAY have to buy the full-size. But Lash Sensational is just as good (if not better imo) so I don’t know if I can justify it!

Burberry Cat Lashes! I’m liking it quite a bit! I was a little wary since I usually don’t like plastic wands but this one is interesting – it’s quite flexible, almost springy, and it really grips every lash. I like the full fluffy fluttery effect. It’s not particularly volumizing but the definition is great and it doesn’t weigh down my lashes at all so the curl stays intact all day.

Cover Girl Super Sizer in the waterproof formula. I have tried many mascara’s over the past 40 years and always come back to this formula. Cover Girl has made this formula under a lot of different names and packages since I was in high school and I have been using it for that long. I did try a Cover Girl tubing mascara back in the day and I liked that one also (maybe even better) but I have not been able to find a similar formula across the brands. I have heavily hooded eyes and every other mascara that I have tried has given me raccoon eyes, even other waterproof formulas. I have fairly long and thick lashes even at 63 and so this works for me. If I am doing a simple look then I just apply the mascara. If I really want dramatic lashes I use Lancôme Cils Booster under the mascara. I don’t get raccoon eyes with this combo and the Cils Booster makes the mascara wash off easier.

I’m currently finishing up a tube of Lancome’s Definicils mascara. It’s one of my favorite everyday mascara’s .I like it for lengthening and it’s supposed to be good for your lashes. Chanel Le Volume is my favorite going out mascara. I always keep one on hand.

Don’t have a go-to. What I do have is a collection of minis. So many minis. I just grab whatever in the morning and use that.

Minis of Lancome, Chanel, MUFE, Benefit, Hourglass, Dior, MAC, Tarte– most of them clump and gob on the lashes. I can’t say I’m impressed with very many mascaras. Hourglass is the only one that doesn’t goop up — then again, it doesn’t do much overall either, IMO.

I just bought the soap and glory thick and fast flash-extension mascara and love it! I’m in the process of going cruelty free with makeup:)

Using Revlon Dramatic Definition and Cover Girl Clump Crusher. Trying to use up some mascara so I can get back to my ultimate go to MAC Mineralize Multi Effect mascara

About a year ago I decided to go on a mascara journey, even though I LOVED Lancome’s Grandiose mascara. I have tried 7-8 different mascaras over the past year. I am currently working through Giorgio Armani’s Eyes to Kill. I got to try the new LANCOME Grandiose Extreme yesterday and now I am thinking about giving away the Armani so that I can go get the Grandiose Extreme. It’s such a fantastic mascara!

Fran Avatar

The Hourglass Curator line (the lash instrument, primer, and mascara). This is the only non-tubing mascara I’ve found that doesn’t smudge on me, and the instrument is great for getting to the roots of my lashes and for doing my lower lashes.

If I’m in a hurry and want only one step, Kevyn Aucoin Volume mascara is a tubing mascara that doesn’t flake on me.

If I’m going for a no-makeup look, wearing no eyeshadow, I’ll use blinc mascara (the regular formula) in one coat of brown. One coat doesn’t flake on me.

Over the past year, I have tried Benefit, Too Faced and It Cosmetics. While I loved all three, I was looking for a drugstore dupe that would give me long and full lashes at a reasonable price. Jackie Aina, YouTube blogger uses L’oreal Miss Manga. I tried it and love it! It has been my go-to for almost a year.

Mascara is tough for me because a lot of them itch my lash lines and I end up scratching it all off or plucking out my lashes to stop the itching so at the moment I am using Almay on my bottom lash and Covergirl on my top lash. My favorite mascara that doesn’t seem to cause me issues is Benefit Roller Lash. It’s fabulous but I always forget to pick it up when I go to Sephora.

Kendra Avatar

I’ve been loving tubing mascaras so that I don’t get raccoon eyes. I like Mirenesse iCurl the best, but I would like to find a drugstore tubing mascara.

Marc Jacobs Velvet Noir Major Volume.
Caveats: 1) I like the small tubes and buy then whenever I can with Big S points. The big tubes I end up tossing mid point because I experience texture changes in the product since I might wear makeup 2-3 times a week tops. 2) The real winner that makes this mascara make my lashes look crazy long is my lash serum.

Hi Nancy 🙂 I use LiLash. I’ve tried a few and this one works best for me. They also have one for brows that I’ve been meaning to try, but it apparently does not work where in the case of bald spots from follicular issues so not sure how well the brow one would benefit other than having to trim the meager crazy wiry suckers I have more often.

Cover Girl Super Sizer and Maybelline Lash Sensational (both waterproof). Stays put all day, even through intense gym workouts and I don’t have to worry about it smearing on my contact lenses or irritating my eyes. As far as a high-end mascara, I rarely buy one because I frequently receive sample sizes so I just use those. My favorite samples I’ve tried so far are Benefit Roller Lash, Urban Decay Perversion, Bobbi Brown Smokey Eye Mascara.

Emily Avatar

Bobbi Brown Smoky, travel size. When I finish that, will move back to Benefit roller girl, which I also have a travel size of. Then will continue to go one by one down the line until I finish all my samples. I may never buy mascara again! SO many bonuses and samples!

Nadine Avatar

At the moment le Volume de Chanel (WP Version).
I also love Dimensions de Chanel, Lancôme Hypnose Drama and Armani Eyes to Kill (all WP version!)

Dianne Avatar

I’m currently using UD Perversion, which I enjoy, but I’m excited to use it up so I can use the Marc Jacobs Velvet Noir mascara that’s waiting in the wings. I love the MJ mascara; it’s like Too Faced Better Than Sex x 10 when it comes to giving my lashes volume, and I don’t find it clumpy.

Nicola Rowlands Avatar

I just finished Benefit Rollerlash which I really liked but I’m now back to my tried and true Lance Hypnose and I remembered how much I love it!

Kish Avatar

CHANEL… pretty much my staple! Le Volume and Inimitable Extreme (LE) I use them interchangeably or layer them if I am feeling a little bossy!

Gwen. Avatar

My go-to mascara is Benefit Roller Lash. This is a product that changed the game for me. I have really straight lashes, and I get compliments all the time when I use this.

Glenda Avatar

I’m pretty lucky in that I have long, somewhat curly lashes so pretty much anything works on me. I’ve used higher end mascaras and have been singularly and spectacularly UNIMPRESSED.
So my favorites now are Maybelline Full and Soft in very black topped off L’Oreal Double Extend Beauty Tubes in Blackest Black. I get great results with these and so much better than any of the higher end mascaras, although I will say I like, but don’t love, Benefit’s They’re Real and the Roller Mascaras.

Lesley Avatar

Maybelline Lash Sensational and Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes are my favorites. I need to try my sample of Hypnose Drama, but I’m afraid I will like it too much and will buy it!

Lesley Avatar

I am using up a sample of Elizabeth Arden Grand Entrance. It did not smudge after 17 hours on airplanes. But when it is gone I will go back to Diorshow Iconic Overcurl, with the curved brush. I need that brush to get to my outer corner.

kellly Avatar

Wet & Wild just came out with a new volumizing mascara with fibers. it comes in a sort of gem-shaped, faceted tube. I’m big on volumizing and I’m liking how this one performs. Not very $$$, either, very budget-friendly!

Jayda Avatar

Stila Extreme Lash has become my new holy grail. It curls and volumizes beautifully. The formula is very wet so this is not a “i can rush my makeup” product. It will be messy if you’re not careful but the results are unlike any other mascara that I’ve tried, high-end or drugstore. Before this my favorite was Too Faced Better than Sex so you guys can get an idea how I like my lashes. Some like just length, some want volume. I like it all. i keep my makeup neutral and natural-ish. But I love focusing the attention to my eyes and this mascara definitely helps!! I don’t even feel the need to add eyeliner because of how thick it makes my lashes. When the formula dries it can get clumpy (like a lot of mascaras) but honestly this mascara stays wet for such a long time and one tube lasts forever.

maria Avatar

I have been using josie maran’s argan oil mascara but I have a New Tom Ford and Lancome that has not been open yet but the Tom Ford is 6 months old at least and so is the Lancome. I find once you open them even if you don’t use it all the time they dry out.

ShariP Avatar

Urban Decay Perversion. I’ve tried Lancome, Smashbox, Dior, Benefit, L’Oréal, and Maybelline, but UD Perversion is my hands down favorite. If I don’t have it my next favorite is Lancome Hypnose Drama, L’Oréal Carbon Black or Maybelline Great Lash all in blackest black.

Primpcess Avatar

Currently using urban decay perversion mascara until that’s done, then we will see what minis or other mascaras from a set I end up with. Mascara is probly the one thing that I’m. It really attracted to any particular brand.

Jackie Avatar

I tend to circulate through a mix of the mini samples I get, but the ones I really love are UD’s Perversion, Too Faced’s Better Than Sex and their Size Queen (which isn’t a sample, but one I couldn’t resist buying to try), and MUFE’s smoky extravagant… I can tell you the one sample mascara I have that I really don’t like is the Marc Jacobs one I have.

Adriana Avatar

I used to wear Definicils by Lancôme for years but, right now, I’m using TooFaced Better than Sex. I only need a tiny bit otherwise I wind up looking like Tammy Faye Bakker.

Brenda Avatar

For the last couple of years I’ve only used deluxe size mascaras as I found that full size never worked as well as the deluxe. Last year I picked up the Sephora mascara favorites, included a coupon for full size, since it gave me a bunch of mascara options including Too Faced Better than Sex & MILK mascara which I wanted to try. For the longest Better than Sex and Lancôme Hypnose Drama were my favs and when I tried the MILK mascara I was really impressed, it didn’t flake or smudge and made my lashes look amazing. Well I used the coupon to pick up the full size MILK mascara and it works just like the deluxe size. It is my HG. ❤️

I was loving my first tube of Armani Dressed to Kill mascara but it seems to me that it has dried out much too fast. I only got a bit less than two months out of it before I started seeing flakes. Not nearly long enough for an expensive, high end mascara. I have an unopened tube of Benefit Rollerlash that I’ll open next. This really is my go-to, I think it is my fourth or fifth tube and I’m always happy using it.
I’ve also been using MAC’s Extended Play Gigablack for my bottom lashes and have no complaints.

Donna E. Avatar

It used to be Too Faced Better Than Sex but I got tired of using a heated eyelash curler because it wouldn’t hold a curl and it flaked.
The jury is still out. I am currently Tarte Tarteist Lash Paint and it Cosmetics Super Hero. We’ll see which one wins!

bibi Avatar

I am the lash queen. Yup, I must have at least 4 mascaras in my arsenals at all times-
It Tightline- my go to primer/base coat for my long, fine lashes
It Hello Lashes 5-in-1 Mascara- first time trying this out, not bad at all, love the ball wand for my lower lashes & getting a good layer at the base of my lashes to perk them up
Elizabeth Arden Beautiful Color Maximum Volume Mascara- my go to #1 favorite for the last 25 yrs, lots of volume and does not budge until you take it off
Cle de Peau Perfect Lash- absolutely perfect, should be for the $ though!

Deanna Avatar

Currently I’m using Bare Minerals Lash Domination, which I like more than I thought I would. I have long lashes to start with so I gravitate to mascaras with the best wand shapes (for me anyway.) Others I use regularly include Tarte Lights Camera Lashes and Butter London Iconoclast, which I’ve found to be surprisingly good. I always have a couple of bottles of Urban Decay’s Perversion and Benefit They’re Real waiting in the wings.

Georgia Avatar

Chanel Le Volume. But I’m also test driving the new Maybelline Big Shot Colossal Volume Express. Both are good, but I think I’m going back to the basic Colossal Volume Express – it just never fails me.

Anne Avatar

I mostly subsist on sample-sized ones (preferably waterproof) but I always have a tube of the IT Cosmetics Tightline Mascara. It gets waaaay down to the root of the lashes which is great as I can’t tightline my upper waterline as that is terrifying and my eyes are just like “nope”, and it is actually really good on it’s own. Natural looking, good separation, good length, and if you really pile it on it can be very va-va-voom.

Aleks Avatar

I’ve recently come across beautyforreal Hi-Def Mascara. Amazing! Has a micro brush and one stroke does the job. Goes on really easy, water resistant (!) and easily removable. My best friend switched from her Dior mascara she’s been using for years by my recommendation.

Adriana Avatar

Diorshow…..over the years of tried just about every brand of mascara and I keep coming back to Dior. It thickens, lengthens and separates my lashes giving me an almost false lash affect. Plus it’s easy to remove.

Helene Avatar

After I finished my Roller Lash I decided to go through all the mascaras I’ve go, samples, GWP’s, the ones from the boxes I subscribe to and maybe some that I’ve bought. So I am on a mascara quest, looking, smelling, in case any of them have turned bad and then trying them on. I toss if I really dislike, try again if I’m uncertain and put the good ones in a keep pile to be used up soonish.

Silvia Avatar

I rotate among different ones loved a Cover Girl (red rectangular shape) and Max Factor arexamazing absolutely no clumping and just amazing keep buying them as I find them so good. .

Tamika B. Avatar

Sadly I don’t have a go-to mascara, I don’t wear it often enough . I have a lot of minis though!
Tart Lights, camera, lashes
Too Faced Better than sex mascara
Roller Lash
Estee Lauder Scrumptious something Idk
And gifts with purchase: A few Ulta mascaras
