We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! I’ve been loving red nail polish lately, specifically OPI’s First Date at the Golden Gate Bridge. Usually I go for blue/purple nail polish colours for an edgy look but this shade of red’s just vampy enough for me that it suits my style.

My new ILNP holographic nail polishes 😀 I got them in the mail yesterday, they’re beautiful! I got Mega, Missed Calls and Brilliance and they’re all on my nails, heh 🙂

I’ve been drooling over ILNP’s Instagram for a couple of months, and I really hope I have room in my budget for my first purchase soon! They’re gorgeous!

Unfortunately nothing at the moment as I can’t paint my nails with this health stuff, but I just bought Essie’s In The Lobby and REALLY want to put it on. For now I’ll just stare at it longingly and hope I can put it on next fall.

Well, nothing at the moment but up until last night I had on an All That Jazz nail polish in Sofie’s – I Own The Runway (deep grey with shimmer). I’m not a fan. I got it as a free gift over a year ago and didn’t use it until last weekend. It chipped and had mild tip wear within 24 hours of being applied, even with a good top coat, plus it had little shine. In its place I’m going to put on Barry M nail polish in Pomegranate. At least those polishes last better!

I just painted them an hour ago! Sinful Colors Let’s Meet. It’s a beautiful yellow with a very subtle shimmer.

I usually opt for a matte, but I’ve been loving subtle shimmers lately. Does anyone have any other recommendations?

Because the nail on my index finger on my right hand broke (into the nail bed!! OUCH!) and I had to use the super glue and tea bag method to salvage part of it, I’ve painted my nails a really pale pink and added one coat of Dior Vernis Trianon 187 over it. It will at least be another month before the nail grows out. Until then, I don’t want to draw attention to my nails. =(

Tell me about the tea bag thing. The psoriasis in my nails prevents using polish virtually all the time, but I frequently have to glue ’em with super glue. Please share.

My nail broke fairly far back into the nail bed. I’d never had one break so far back and it actually made me feel sick to my stomach. I cut out a small piece from a nylon teabag (we always have Harney & Son’s Peppermint Tea on hand) just a little bit wider than I needed. I used an antiseptic first, then held my nail in place while my husband applied the super glue to the nail. He immediately placed the tea bag patch over the glue, making sure the patch was saturated with glue and in the correct position. Once it was thoroughly dry, I carefully cut away the excess from the sides of the nail and applied two coats of a strengthening polish. It has held up beautifully, absolutely no problems with it. I could apply a darker colored polish but I want to be able to see where the break is.

It’s by China Glaze, but I never actually looked at the name of it. It’s a metallic silver with purple undertones, somewhat like a gunmetal color. A nice change instead of taupes to bring in the fall season

My nails have been naked for weeks, and I’m so ashamed. I just haven’t had time! But this weekend, I fully intend to go with OPI On the Same Page (an orange cream) and maybe a dark grey or deep purple accent nail. I love Halloween colors!

My nails are always black, but I use differnt brands. I’m currently wearing Zoya “Willa” which surprisingly chipped pretty bad on me. =/

Essie Lady Like, I’m easing into fall because before I know it it will be absolutely freezing in NY so I’ll have a ton of time for rich deep colors…

i often do “whoops!” cosmetic swaps with my BF Carol, since she’s medium-light warm coloring and I’m a pale cool. She thought Orly’s “Goin’ to the Chapel” duochrome was going to be a pale peach pearl flashing green (from looking at the bottle) but it ended up pulling mostly pink shimmer on her nails. She just swapped it to me, and that’s what I’m wearing today. On me it’s a warm nude pearl, flashing light pink shimmer in the light with a faint green iridescencel on the shadowed side of the nail. Perfect! Thank you Carol!

Smith & Cult! Today I have on Feed the Rich, and I’m obsessed with the whole line — Unique colors, fast-drying, and long-lasting. Really good stuff!!

Wearing Cult Nails Nevermore, thinking it will be my go to color for October. I’d forgotten how much I love this black. So happy I stocked up. ?
Love the tea bag trick, it worked so well for me when I jammed my thumb a few months ago and put a run-split right down the middle.
Kjh, there are a few tutorials on applying tea bag paper to your nails on YouTube. But there are basically two ways of using them, you can use a portion as a nail bandaid to hold a tear together until the nail grows out enough to clip or you can use a large piece the way you would use a silk wrap, I always use nail glue for repairs but you can also attach the tea bag with clear polish too, they are totally buffable and fairly invisible, if you are attaching it with clear polish it’s really easy to remove and redo when you change your polish.

Formula X Sheer Strength in “Enduring”. I’m obsessed with this. It’s a very sheer nude that is also a nail treatment. I use 2 coats plus a topcoat and it lasts a long time.

If you would’ve asked me yesterday I would have said Sally Hansen midnight in New York but today I have nothing on my nails. I’m actually trying to use up all my nail polishes that are tested on animals because I am going towards cruelty free products

Just transitioned from the Spring/Summer Nail Colors to Fall/Winter Nail Colors. I’m wearing Dior Vernis Nail Color in 970 Nuit 1947 with Orly Bonder Basecoat under my color and Orly Sec N Dry Quick dry topcoat. A lovely seasonal transition from doing light, airy nude polishes/French Manicures all summer long.

F.U.N Lacquer “Celebrate”
From Website:
“Celebrate is a absolutely stunning multi-chrome nail polish that shifts through an incredible array of super bright pink, violet, red, copper, and a stunningly vibrant gold!”
