White Gold from the Sephora Moonshadow Baked Palette in In the Dark. I’m leaning toward highlights with warm shimmer lately.
I have this palette in “In the nudge” .. I don’t think these palettes get enough love 😉
Monica
“In the NUDE” .. gesh .. typos 😛
They are amazing palettes, but unfortunately I had an adverse reaction to both… The pigmentation is gorgeous, though, wet or dry!
I like the Doll 10 highlighter I got from Ipsy in October!
MUFE artist shadow M530 Eggshell! i actually use it all over the entire eye to cancel out some of the discoloration from veins.
Wet ‘n Wild Brulee! I’ve only recently started wearing matte browbone shade and I’ve been loving it to blend out my crease color as well.
I switch mine up all the time, as I usually just use a light shade that goes with my eye look. When in doubt, I use a sheer, shimmery white (BareEscentuals Ice Queen is my favorite, it has a hint of violet sheen) or some Mary Lou-manizer.
Me too! For the longest time it’s been trench! <3
Stila Starlight or, if I want something more matte, Righteous from the UD Pulp Fiction palette.
None, I don’t use any.
UD Foxy and Bobbi Brown Bone
Benefit High Brow or Mac’s Vanilla eyeshadow.
Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Luminous Light – I’ve probably used this as a brow highlight for almost a year now. It goes with every look and makes your eyes just appear more bright and awake. It creates a bit of a luminous glow that looks really pretty.
Is that one better than Etheral Light? Because I purchased Etheral light and I didn’t even notice a difference on my. with or w/o foundation. NC20 skin.
YSL Touche Éclat in No 2 Love it.
I’ve always been partial to UD’s Foxy 🙂
funny as this sounds – Yaby’s matte white. It doesn’t look as harsh as it sounds lol! I apply with a Mac 242 sharply right under the brow to clean up the bottom line and blend down…and blend and blend and blend! I just prefer a matte highlight for the brow.
I’m about NC20 now with no tan so it works for me to brighten the eyes.
I love matte highlights! Even on my medium deep skin tone, I love a matte white or light cream highlight. I like my browbone highlight to be subtle usually, so going matte is a great way to brighten and open without the obviousness of a shimmery colour.
Mac Grain
Anything .. lol. I’m not particular .. whatever light or shimmery shade that is available in the eye shadow palette that I’m using.
Monica.
Revlon Pure Pearl; I’m pretty fair, so it doesn’t look stark against my complexion, and it isn’t shimmery/sparkly/frosty, and in fact, imparts a “pearly glow”. It’s been looong DC’d, but I have 4-5 backups…
I’ve been mixing Urban Decay’s Foxy and W.O.S for daytime and for night I use MAC Shroom.
I usually use whatever highlighter I’m using on my face.
Mac brule!!
I rarely use highlighter on my brow bone, but I do I use the lightest shade from Burberry’s Mocha quad. I’m assuming it’s vey similar to Trench, and I can’t justify having both :).
Mac Blanc Type!
UD Virgin!
Still Benefit Eye Bright. I use it on the brow bone, inner corner, waterline, lips…anywhere.
I went through my shimmery/metallic/glittery phase of highlighters years ago. I stick to satin finish eyeshadows now for my brow bone. I’m not one for using something much lighter than my skintone, such as white, but I sometimes do if I feel that a look needs it. Generally I’ll use an eyeshadow that’s similar to my skintone or a tad lighter. Ones that come to mind are MAC Vanilla, MAC Brule, the pale cream colour from the Suqqu Kozuecha quad and Shiseido Luminizing Satin Face Color in WT905 High Beam White. 🙂
MAC Blanc Type!
Chella pencil highlighter in Ivory Lace- Got it in a beauty box.
( I like mary louminizer a lot but only use it when I highlight cheekbones etc too and don’t do this everyday)
The ivory shade in Chanel Poesie or L’Oreal Iced Latte.
My fave BBHs are straight out of the Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette. For matte, I use pale pink Strange, and for shimmer, I go with their glitzy lt pink, Dust. I’ve used up so much of these two already I had to go onto UD’s website to look up the color names. Guess who scrubbed some of the letters off the tin with her over-enthusiastic fingers instead of using a proper brush to apply her makeup? *sheepish look*
Definitely Nyx “Aloha” or Urban Decay “Virgin”
Dior’s Jardin palette has a gorgeous cream that I have been using – quite translucent and lovely.
I’ve been on a search to find the right under-brow shade, which encompasses more than just the idea of a highlight. In essence, what shade can be used to go from below the brow down to the crease/transition shade? To me, this isn’t the same as highlighting, which is just the line under the brow and can be shimmery. I’m too old to carry the shimmer associated with a highlight down to the crease/transition.
On some palettes, I can use one of the light shades (if not too shimmery/glittery) for the under-brow shade, and then, if needed, add some ummph (more highlight) just under the brow with any highlighter I have. But I’ve been searching for a standalone shade, one that would work with any of my shadows.
I just bought Trench (based on your recommendation/use of it) and haven’t received it to see if it will work as hoped. In the meantime, depending on the colors used elsewhere on my eye, I use UD Foxy (which leans yellow), MUG Beaches & Cream (which leans peach) or MUFE M870 (which leans pink). I can’t use any whites or off-whites there for some reason without looking weird or like I’ve time-traveled from the 70s or 80s.
If you can, check out NARS Abyssinia.
You know, I don’t usually do a browbone highlight. Mostly because my natural vampire skin tone pretty much highlights things by itself, LOL! If I ever do it’s usually UD Sin or similar for a little bit of shimmer if I want it.
I have been using The Balms Mary Loumanizer!Works great on my dark skin as a brow highlight:)
i like using the color “trick” from the Urban decay naked 3 pallette. Its my favorite for brow bone highlight and inner eye highlight. would like to try it as face highlight too lol
Charlotte Tilbury Bar of Gold !!
MAC Lightscapade. I know it’s a highlighter, not really something that a person would use on their brow bone but it seems to be working for me.
I’m NC50 and I like warm matte colors. My go to brow highlighters are Mac’s Bamboo, Malt and Butterscotch. For shimmer, I like a light swatch of duochromes like Nars Albatross, Mac’s Vex or Patina.
MAC Shroom
I’ve been using the matte white in It Cosmetics face sculpting palette. It’s subtle and perfect for my fair skin.
My go-to brow highlighter has been the Matte Highlighter stick in Camille by Anastasia. Now that they no longer seem to carry it, I need to find a new one 🙁
Benefit High Beam
I love Watts Up from Benefit and High Brow from Benefit. Also the pearly shade from the Smashbox full exposure palette.
I have been using MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural for quite a while now!! I love it for the same reasons I love it as my finishing powder – it’s matte but not “flat”, it has some dimension to it.
For the longest, I used a gold eye liner and I would gently smudge it with my little finger. Now, I just use the lightest shade in whatever palette I’m using.
