Dark brown with some bronze shimmer–it’s not as harsh as black and brings a soft sparkle to to my brown eyes. And if it smudges, it can still look flattering, like you were going for that smokey bronze eye effect

Ooops! I mis-read it as “eye colour”. Eyeliner??? non-red toned dark brown shades with some bronze-y sheen to them – Gosh Metallic Brass, Nars Baalbek (so gorgeous) and Sephora Diving in Malaysia are 2 perfect examples. I’m also loving deep purples like the Rich Plum liner I have from IT Cosmetics and again a pencil from Sephora in the shade Tango Nights.

Black.. Or a reddish brown like roach. Warm brown like whiskey. Both from urban decay. I like purple as well and blues too with a matte neutral eye. I also love poison from makeup geek. But most worn is def. Liquid black or gel black liner. My go tos are ingot 77gel liner and Kat von d tattoo liquid in trooper.

But I’m also a massive eyeliner collector and love using my absurd e/s collection as liner (for me, my love for shadow began by seeking out unique shades I couldn’t find in liner form) and have a few shades I purchase nearly every version i can get my hands on. Teal is my sentimental, always comfy favorite. But gray (proper gray especially, not just charcoal and dark ones), purple (all purples! Every finish and undertone from blue lilac to black red plums), gold (especially antique, patinaed, and platinum-hued), all sorts of blues, and mint greens are special favorites. Aside from lipstick, pops of color on the eyes are my makeup favorites.

Even though I wear black eyeliner every single day, I LOVE plums and purples! They light up the green in my eyes. Especially loving at this moment, Nyx Slide-on in Jewel and Sephora Contour pencil in Tango Night. I do wish that there were more high quality non-skipping straight up PURPLES though, as the two I mentioned are actually plums.

Probably berry. I’m actually a lipstick girl more than anything, so my eyeshadow is usually something in the silver/taupe/brown family to compliment a strong lip, but on an honest to goodness eyeshadow focused day, I LOVE a berry like Sugarpill Magentric, MAC Cranberry, or UD Sting (DC?) with a deeper burgundy lowlight like MAC Sketch thrown in. Then if I’m still hungry for lipstick I can just pair it with a match-ey burgundy lip or even black. lol.

Does black count? I’m just heading into the world of color. I’ve had purples before and liked them but they have all been drugstore sans one Sephora liquid in a blackened plum. It’s just slightly softer than black but provides no real color pop. I’ve just got a cobalt one and I’m thinking of getting UD mainline!

As much as I absolutely adore teal I usually reach for purple these days. All different shades, although I like to stick to jewel tones. At the moment I’m using Charlotte Tilbury’s Colour Chameleon pencil in Amethyst Aphrodisiac. I love the shimmer in it and the fact that it’s not that bright a colour means I can wear it most days, even to work. My favourite way to wear colour on my eyes is as liner on my bottom lash line, smudged just a bit to soften the look. 🙂

An olive-y green like UD Stash or Mac Forever Green; alternatively a warm taupe like Butter London Twigged, and maybe gold on the lower lid. Sometimes I’ll use gray or brown or slate blue, but the above are my favorites. (I have olive green eyes and very fair, neutral-warm skin, so black is never going to work on me…)

Pewter liquid liner on the lid. I always tight line with dark blue or black. I have grey-blue eyes and wear a lot of greys burgundys cool tones in general. Pewter works with all those tones beautifully even some coppers and golds. I rarely wear true warm tones, but when I do I switch to a copper liner.

I wear black and brown on a daily basis. But I enjoy blues and greens for a pop of color occasionally. I can’t wear purple because my eyes tend me to irritated afterwards.

Recently it’s been plum/aubergine. My favorite in the summer is always teal. I also love a deep, shimmery navy, mossy olivine, blue purples, taupe and gray to name a few 😉 As you can tell, I enjoy using lots of different colors.
I always use Chanel Clair on my waterline, it gives a lovely, yet subtle brightening effect.

I think we should all know your answer is teal lol. Any eye look you do you always add that teal liner and it works. For me, I’m just now getting into eye makeup more so I don’t really have a favorite. But I love how royal blue looks especially a metallic one. Just haven’t got my hands on one yet.

For years, I have only used dark brown eyeliners. I have very dark brown eyes, and I really wasn’t comfortable venturing out of my rut. Then this year, after seeing so many posts on this site from people that were stepping out of that comfort zone and trying new colors for lips and eyes and everything, I have forced myself to try new colors. I am loving plums and bronze and gray and even cobalt blue now for my eyeliners. I have been shocked at the number of compliments that I received, which tells me that I need to push myself a little more often. Thanks for the inspiration!

I love bronze and brown eyeliners, as I have brown eyes and black eyebrows, I feel brown eyeliners look softer than black. I’ve been forever looking for a bronze eyeliner (which is not too light and visibly shimmery).
