Urban Decay Streak lipstick and Tarte lipliner in Latergram
Hmm, I’ve been trying to rotate thru my stash so no one lippie dominates, but with summer here, the semi-opaque, sheerer colors are getting a lot of play. For reds, Revlon Lip Butter in Candy Apple and NARS Banned Red. For hot pinks, Revlon Lip Butter in Raspberry Pie. Have no idea why Revlon DC’d the lip butters 🙁 For peachy apricot, YSL Rouge Volupte Shine in #16 Orange Impertinent is one of the few that I can pull off. For browns, Bobbi Brown Malt Shimmer, although I don’t care for the fragrance.
Nice picks! I love sheer and shimmer lippies. I have to totally agree with you about the fragrance on the BB Shimmer lipstick. I picked one in plum and love the color I have, but don’t wear it often because of the smell. I have avoided getting more of her lip colors. Do you know if all of her lipsticks have this same fragrance or is it jut the shimmer line?
I only have 1 other Bobbi Brown lipstick, Luxe Lip Color in Your Majesty, and there’s a very very faint fragrance, you have to hold it really close to your nose to smell it, so it doesn’t bother me at all. It’s a pretty opaque formula though. Really wish brands wouldn’t put heavy fragrance into lipsticks!
So bummed Revlon dc’d those lip burgers. Love them!

All kinds of fuchsias and nudes lately! Today, I had MAC Marque on, other days, UD Liar or MAC Pure Zen or Dej Loaf Lipglass. On my fuchsia end; MAC Diva-ish, UD Bittersweet and Colourpop Brooklyn. Oh, and last year’s MAC Domestic Diva Lipglass, too!
But I think Pandemonium will be Cruel and Violate that recent Streak and cause a Catfight to break out!
You certainly can language-play with the UD names. And yours, amazingly, is G rated!

I don’t have a go-to. I like to change every day. This last week or so, I’ve been really liking Maybelline Loaded Bolds Lipstick in Gone Greige lined with Wet n Wild lipliner pencil in Burgundy Wine. I’ve worn that combo on three different days.
I like that Gone Greige. I got it 2 weeks ago.

Anything coral!
For me it has to be Chanel Rouge Coco Stylo in Conte and MAC Dervish lipliner. I love the Rouge Coco Stylos, they feel so nice on! I use Dervish lipliner most days to softly add definition to my lip shape since it’s a bit lacking. The liner is nearly done, it’s tiny!
I mix up my lipsticks a lot so here are five others that I also like to wear, which arework friendly:

Just purchased YSL Alternative Plum and paired with Laura Mercier Red Chocolate lip pencil- gorgeous combination- however have only worn in house – will wear this fall season.
I had to buy Two Faced Honeybear because it always looks so nice in your photos, Christine! My husband loves it too. It is just a smidgen lighter than I like, so I prefer to put on a base lipstick in a darker color, like UD’s Rapture or even Viva Glam III, blot the darker color down, and then apply Honeybear.
Givenchy #301 — I’ve wanted it for sooooooooooooo long, but just couldn’t manage to convince myself that the price was worth it. Finally bought 2 of them in the last Sephora sale. Love this color so much! (And the validation afterward: Christine gave it an A+. I didn’t know that until after I bought them! I probably would have bought them earlier if I had seen that review. Anyway, I agee with you Christine, A+.)
Nars Chelsea Girls lipgloss as a topper for various nude pinks or worn alone.
Right now I’m loving Kat Von D Studded Kiss lipstick in Mercy topped with Chanel Glossimer in Constellation. I love Studded Kiss l/s….it wears like iron. Even with a coat of gloss, the color stays on my lips for hours. I may have to get a backup lol.
MAC’s In Control pencil fill in with MAC’s Brave.
With the exception of a couple lip colors that require pencil as a liner or underneath, I don’t have or do lip combinations, but my go-to lip color recently has been Hello Waffle’s “East,” as it’s exactly my lip color.
Glossy shimmery lips:
Nyx gloss sponge cake
Pur minerals lipgloss in bossy
Bobbi Brown lipgloss in rose sugar
Bare Minerals lip balm oil in nude passion . It is what I’m grabbing lately. Easy to wear and reapply. Sheer and moisrurizing on lips. Great summer lippy!
It’s Fourth of July, so it will be classic ‘American Flag’ reds for ~5 days. Got a lot of choices.
I’ve actually been really loving Rimmel Cheeky Coral lipstick lightly patted onto the lips like a stain (it’s SUPER bright and pigmented) topped with Revlon Creme Brulee lipstick to make it a bit toned down and glossy!
I’m usually too lazy to combine lip colors or take any extra steps other than using lip liner with certain tricky dark or red shades. But I found some sparkly NYX lipsticks that if forgotten about that have potential as toppers, and I still haven’t used Too Faced Unicorn Tears on top of anything.

At the Moment I am Going through all my lipsticks, so every day a Different colour.
I have a so many new lipsticks by YSL and Dior but all I am wearing is Tom Ford’s Pipa and Otranto. I love the formula so moisturizing.
Light Red look:
Line with Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm in Audacious (245),
fill in with Revlon Ultra HD l/s in Marigold (880).
Peachy look:
Revlon l/s in Coralberry (674),
topped with some NYX Butter Gloss in Tiramisu (love the plushy texture of this gloss!).
Hmmm…Rouge D’Armani 503 with Armani (dc’d) in 524, Tom Ford moisturecore in Mustique with Chantecaille luminous gloss in Guava, UD lip liner in Ladyflower with Sisley Phyto lip twist in Baby #2 or just Chantecaille Love lipgloss on its own.
I’ve been wearing peachy corals now for weeks.
I’m in love with my new Burberry Full Kisses in Rose Apricot. Beautiful. And I start every summer with a new tube of Chanel Teheran- I’ve got that color stockpiled and sealed as I don’t think I could ever live a summer without it!
Currently I like wearing deep red like kat v d noserafatu liquid lipstick, Shiseido lip lacqueur rd 607, or sheer glosses like my old Sally Hansen Natural Beauty dc’d lipgloss in a pinky mauve, or a sheer fuschia plexi gloss by makeup for ever, or kat v d liquid l/s in lovesick!!:)
OCC queenie & trollop w/mac chicory lip liner?
I have two favorites right now.. Sephora gel lipliner in Creme de la creme with Mac Guo Pei gloss in Bright pink bouquet and my other is both EL pure color envy lipsticks in Potent mixed with Defiant Coral. Love that combo!

MAC Brick-o-la lipstick topped with Plushglass in Full for You. Has worked for me for years and always looks nice, I think.
I was thinking, when I saw the question, that you would say the TF Honeybear – because it has been a versatile colour for you with your many face and eye looks.
As it is winter here, I have been wearing my Milani Cinnamon Spice a lot – it suits a lot of my autumn toned outfits.
Milani lipstick is great – their Pink Frost is the only one I have 4 of, just so I have a go-to in every bag and drawer I might reach into.

This summer I’ve been loving MAC’s “All Fired Up” lipstick. It’s a great color for anybody who has trouble wearing a red lipstick. I’d call it a smidge shy of being a true red, and that’s what makes it wearable. This shade is matte and very wearable. It lasts for hours and hardly ever needs a touch-up. It also has an unexpected benefit, as it makes my teeth look whiter. I love it! For reference, I’m an NW25 in MAC’s coloring system.
Oh same here! I just bought All Fired Up several weeks ago and it’s one of my regular go-to’s thus summer. It really brightens up my face! Can’t believe I went this long without it.

I’m loving MAC’s recent string of matte lipstick releases, but not always loving the look of a matte lip daily. So I’ve been wearing MAC Mall Maddness lipglass over mattes like Flat Out Fabulous, Have Your Cake and Invite Intrigue. It really amps up these lip colours!
My current favorite lipstick at this point is Mac Razzledazzler … It’s easy to reapply without a mirror…

For me, I am in love with my new UD Vice lipstick in Gubby – pale metallic pink. But I can be very fickle with lip colors. Normally, the lighter, the better, even white, but I do like bright purples too.
