What would you like to see from Pat McGrath this year?

I’d love to see the brand explore more finishes and less traditional colors for their blush/lipstick, and then, of course, anything but a plethora of pink and gold in their eyeshadow palettes!

I’d like to see less pink and red and MORE of her products available in store at Sephora near me so I can see for myself and buy and bring home for myself…but in reality, I’m not in a huge rush to purchase anything from Pat McGrath (or any other companies, for that matter, as I really do not need more makeup).

Please Pat; Bring back your wonderful LuxeTrance Lipstick line? My two favorite shades are She’s Heaven (perfect nude for my medium skintones!) and Strangé (great brownish red!), but I have other shades that I would have loved to get if that formula was still available.
Secondly, a PERMANENT highlighter range beyond the trio that I have and do like a lot.
Third: For the love of all that’s holy in the makeup-verse, a Mothership that runs cooler and doesn’t have a pink or gold in sight. Since the earlier Mothership palettes were so much more interesting and avant garde, this is something that I would love to see make a comeback! Oh, and with the 4 domed baked ‘special’ shades, too!

I would like to see more physically small/compact releases. Some of the palettes are just so big with empty space – like her holiday palette with combined blush products. Also a slower release schedule.

I agree on the colors. I wish there were more lust gloss or divinyl colors that aren’t in the hot pink or red realm without heavy sparkle – maybe a deeper peachy color that would look good on a warm/olive/pink skintone like mine. “Flesh Fantasy” is my go-to, and I also like Secret Lover recently. I suppose I love the formula of these products over so many out there in the market, but have a bit more bland/neutral everyday taste, so I don’t need the high sparkle.

I know this is very “Un Pat” but I would love to see her put out a totally neutral palette where there are a mix of matte and shimmers but is more wearable for every day……maybe a cool neutral palette and a warm neutral palette…so many of her palettes are beautiful but most of the shadows are too “much” for everyday looks, and I don’t go out that much at night to benefit from so many over the top glitters although they are beautiful…..

I’d like to see a greenish palette, a sort of forest-themed, if I recall it well you Christine designed something like that a few years ago, that would be perfect.
And another one with the color story of ND Glam, but with Pat’s formula, including the old type of special shades.

This is a question I could really get into! Having, over the past couple of years purchased a few of Pat’s eyeshadow offerings and looked at the reviews of many more, this is is what I would suggest:
1. As Katalin above suggested – a green toned 6 pan, like what you made up a few moons ago. I don’t want toppers, or too many mattes, just her beautiful formula in shades of green, including an emerald green one and a muted blue-green would be lovely.
2. I also like Penny’ suggestion of some cooler and neutral palettes – but absolutely no pinks, reds or oranges
3. I don’t mind Pat’s gold shades as long as they are like Gold Rush or Gold Nectar – my favourite shade colour for gold
4. The only lipstick of hers that I would love her to bring back is Electra – I really love that shade and missed out on it.
And I agree with Mariella – we probably don’t need any more makeup, but love it so anyway!

Cool toned purple, think 1980s, palette without any pink. A taupe palette without pink. And a green palette without any pink. I’m over pink eyeshadow. I really only like her eyeshadow. I don’t like her blush formula and her highlighters that I’ve tried have both been too glittery. So maybe a more glowy highlighter with out the sparkle.

I would love to see more of the bridgerton palette color schemes minus the pink and champagne that everyone else mentioned. I also love the idea of that cooler tone, purple palette and the green palette. I thought the Star wars collab was really interesting and I didn’t get any of the five pans but I really wanted them. They were very exciting color stories to me. I definitely wear glitter on the daily and I have a corporate job but I just have these deep set eyes and tell myself Ican get away with it. 😉

What I would love to see are quads of special baked shades, holographic shades, multichromes, etc. The dominant colours I’d love would be blues and purples and lilacs. I would be happy without pinks or nudes or golds. I’d also love a good quality, non-patchy, silky smooth but glittery blue lipstick!

Nina Avatar

Just more and fresh BlitzTrance lipsticks. I had a few, SkinSane and others, but that was then. Bring some exciting shimmers that you do soooo well!

Vanessa Avatar

I want to see singles of her blitz and astral formulas. I don’t buy palettes much anymore but I have bought from UD Moondust line and Hourglass Scattered Lights, among others.

Di Avatar

Hah, echoing lots of others here but a green palette would be amazing especially since I love the finishes for several PMG shades. I’d love to see jungle green shades – not too yellow/mustard or mint/aqua/blue leaning. Maybe a palette with more spring and emerald greens.

Pearl Avatar

It be nice to see a mothership based on peach tones. Kind of like how she did with Divine Rose, she could come out with a petulant peach line or something and do variations on that. Another one with taupes or olives would be nice.

Anne Avatar

Would love to see additional colors in her pencil eyeliners and new, brigher lip liner colors. These products are excellent and the line should be expanded. Also agree with everyone about going back to more interesting color stories in the motherships with special shades like others have said. Cooler tones, true or cooler neutrals, olives/greens (not teal), cooler purples. No more eyeshadow in gold, bronze, pink, reds.

Anita Avatar

Nothing, really. I have no hope for the brand,
While I did love they did bronzers actually light enough for me – every palette after Divine Rose 1&2 looks like Divine Rose 1&2.
It’s so expensive anyway, I’ve given up on them ever doing eyeshadow I like again.

Cecelia Avatar

I would really like to see Pat return innovation to the brand. Indie brands are so far ahead of her brand at this point. I mean they went from shimmery duochromes to multichromes to holo to holo multichromes and here Pat is churning out the same old pink and gold palettes. It’s so boring.

It would be cool to see her explore multichromes again and add more interesting colors to her palettes. There are so many different colors out there!

Pat McGrath used to be one of the best brands on the market and now I just feel like there’s so much better out there. I haven’t even liked a palette from her since the Moonlit Seduction palette came out. It’s a bummer, really.

Bren Avatar

You did a GREAT job of playing with expanding the color range with your SG palettes. I played yesterday and created a Pink palette (I LOVE your By The Glow of the Bloom look), a Green palette and a Purple/Blue palette. So fun!!

katie Avatar

That mythical green palette. As a Mothership, a 6-pan, a 5-pan, a quad, liquid shadows, Chromalusts, and eyeliners. Let us have it!! I believe in you Pat!

Also, light colored blushes for actual Pale People. A LILAC! And a purple that blends out. A pale pink, and peach, and honey color that just pops out your cheek bones and a dusty rose and mauve and pale, pale red. I know these have all been done before, but I would like to see Pat do them because she would make them better!!

Chelsea Avatar

I’ve seen other brands do them but I would honestly love to see PM smaller palettes in a monochromatic scheme.
Light ashy silver to dark gunmetal grey – perhaps a purple from pastel to deep royal.
I just see it as an open niche.
Selfishly I would love it to be an art-themed tie in perhaps from the jewels ballet, or from sculpture inspirations for bronzed patina color schemes.
