What were your most used eyeshadow palettes of 2022?

I didn’t do a lot of makeup “just for fun” this past year, but when I did, I used the palettes I created with Sydney Grace the most.

We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! Top 3: ABH “Mario” palette, Charlotte Tilbury The Rebel (again, thanks Genevieve) and the good old, still going strong OG Naked palette. Chanel’s Tisse Rivoli and Empreinte du Desert were also strong contenders, as was Smashbox Minimalist.

Definitly Natasha Denonas Mini Biba, such beautiful colors and great finish. In close second place was her “Glam Light Face Palette”. Even though I’m tan with olive undertones, this worked so great on me. The consistency of the blush was a bit of a disappointment though.

I mostly used four palettes for the first 10 months of the year: Tartelette In Bloom and three UD palettes (Naked 2 Mini, Naked 3 Mini, and Ultimate Basics). Then, over the past couple months, I bought Natasha Denona Glam and three Dior palettes (Galactic, Soft Cashmere, and Nude Dress), and have been almost exclusively using those four palettes ever since.

Well, I sure am late to the party, aren’t I? Had quite a day… anywho, my most used would probably be: Menagerie Cosmetics Flight Club, Huda Beauty Rose Quartz, ABH Rose Metals, Nomad Cosmetics Bosque Nuboso de Monteverde, SG x Temptalia Quintessence and On The Horizon, SG x Mel Thompson Tiny Marvels and In Mel’s Memory, PML’s Subversive and Divine Rose II Motherships, ND Glam and Retro, Nars Unrated palettes! Phew! Yeah, I switch things up almost every look, and I’m sure that I am even forgetting several more.

The Chanel Spring 2022 palette MediterannĂ©en was my most used in 2022, probably because it’s such a no-brainer and virtually no blending needed, so easy to throw on for any occasion, even if in a hurry. I also picked it up in the first days of 2022 so it gave the palette a considerable head start in the race!

Suqqu 116 Koukyou, which I got in May, came second; and Chanel Tweed Brun et Rose, which I got in September, came third. Had all three been launched at the same time, I think the Suqqu palette might have made it to be my most used. This also makes me realize how quickly I get bored of eyeshadow palettes, as many oldies but goodies do not get as much use as the latest thrill.
