Mine was a really dark eye I did using MAC’s French Quarter as a base. Definitely bolder than anything I have done before. Maybe next time I’ll be brave enough to wear it in public, haha.

Me too! I got Dirty and it’s great but French Quarter is also the sort of colour I love.
My favorite look I wore this week was brown kohl eyeliner and mascara. It was so quick and gave me the same effect I get using gel eyeliner – minus the brush!

I was messing around with my Sodashop palette and broke down and bought the Kat Von D Truth palette( I cannot bear anything associated with her)and have been stuck in a weird rut of like “jamais vous” when it come to eye m/u. I’ve een staring at both palettes unable to figure out how to put colors together on my mongoloid lids. Don’t get me wrong I’m very proud of my heritage, but when Genghis ripped through the steppes of Russia he left behind my folded lids that defy my efforts to create a sultry eye…

Aww pleased I could help! I often raise my fist at historical events in the distant past and assign blame for whatever is *really*irritating me at the moment. Like my Ukranian peasant plowhorse hips. The culture I am part of has no aesthetic use for them so I have returned to the earth to get some serious use out of my genetic inheritance. AKA I planted potatos yesterday 🙂

This week, my only look was my regular foundation & powder, MAC woodwinked all over the eye, and Nars Baroque Velvet Gloss Pencil (during the night)/ MAC Ever Hip (in the morning) on my lips. Pretty simple! :]

It’s Expensive Pink on the lid, Cork in the crease, with Sable over that for some shimmer, & Shroom for highlight. Maybelline Eyestudio Black Gel Liner on upper lash line & Benefit’s Busy Signal in waterline/lower lash line. On my lips I’ve been loving Ever Hip, can’t believe I passed on this during Liberty of London – It’s the most gorgeous coral that every gal needs!

I’ve been trying to use up my Too Faced Amazing Face powder foundation just to get it out of my makeup cabinet. I’m suddenly finding it’s not all that bad – I’ve been using it all this week, with Plum Foolery blush (something else I’m trying to use up – that Hark the Heraldry blush set from MAC but I’ll probably be 100 years old before I make my way through all 3 products!). On my eyes, I really liked Joe Fresh Bronze eyeshadow – it gives a very nice effect, and black or brown pencil liner. And Laugh a Lot on my lips (like always).

I took inspiration from your Surf Baby look, Christine, but I wanted more definition, so I used a cherry colour in the crease and blended it up to make and orage colour inbetween the yellow and cherry, then I used a darker blue in the outer v and hence made a slightly purple colour.
In the end it almost turned out like a rainbow look…but it was cool 😉

I recently purchased my first DIY Mac quad palette which I put in: Floof, All that Glitters, Satin Taupe, & Club eyeshadows. I love this quad & its now my go-to quick easy neutrals palette. Perfect for a “running late” day. Lol I love it & im already plotting my next quad!! Lol I have also been loving Mac’s Sakura & also the light peach blush from Mac’s Quite Cute collection. I can’t remember the name of the peach 1!! Sorry.
This week was all about MAC and cheeks!
