We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! Thank you for understanding!

Makeup by Mario Ultra Suede Lipstick in Erin. The color is nice, but I hate the way it feels on my lips…heavy and drying. I also regret buying Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution Lipstick in Pillow Talk. While the color of Pillow Talk is gorgeous, this lipstick settles into my lip lines and has to be reapplied many times during the day. It was a fail for me. Fortunately, I found a great dupe.
Just the e. l. f. Lash Out Mascara. It was great on my upper lashes, but smeared all over under my bottom lashes. I’ve never had another mascara ever do that to me.
It was bought in a hurry while I was in vacation, when I realized I forget to pack my usual, and the nearest drug store had slim pickings for brands I’m not allergic to. As soon as I could get to an Ulta, I bought my trusty Tarte Lights,Camera, Lashes!
The mini Natasha Denona Bronze palette I bought had a weird vanilla smell and irritated my eyes. Back to the store it went!
Couldn’t agree with you more Chrisitine…..I was so sure the Charlotte Tilbury eyes to mesmerise mattes were going to be amazing I pre-ordered all of them…..probably, no definitely the worst cream eyehadows I’ve ever bought.. very dry and no blendability. I ended up just tossing them out. Big waste of money to a company usually so consistant in quality. Someday I will learn to wait till products are in stores so I can try myself…..(or wait for your reviews which are spot on!)
Honestly cannot readily think of anything truly “awful”, because I rely heavily on this site and several reliable YT’ers to help me pick out what to get. The only thing I can think of is something that I did find a way to get more comfortable usage out of than when I first applied it? And that would be Maybelline Vinyl Ink Liquid Lipstick in Capricious. Felt so sticky, like my lips were sticking together whenever I tried to speak, so I tried not to. Then, after having some food, I put MAC Relentlessly Red over a thin touch-up coat of it, blotted to see if this would make a noticeable difference in the taffy feeling consistency of it, and VOILA! Lasted 7 hours, and only came off with OIL!
Thanks to this site, I don’t think I’ve had a “worst” purchase. I’ve managed to avoid all the lemons and clinkers out there!
I didn’t really have an epic fails as such last year, but I am/was disappointed that the Shiseido Inner Glow blush had such a small amount of product in it. Luckily I got it on sale, because if I had paid the full price I would have felt really cheated.
Oden’s Eye Urd Palette and Colourpop That’s So Taupe Palettes
Luckily it was very inexpensive, but for me it would be the Beauty Creations Black Out Color Base Primer. I guess it works well for some people but on me it creased and I could never build it up enough without it creasing to really be black on my lid.
Hi
Have been trying different things after disappointing purchases
Eborian concealers , both turned skin unnecessarily tan.
IT concealer was disappointing too, along with your skin but better, no lasting peer. Did not enjoy perbelle cc despite, their marketing push. Disappointed with new dr jart premium beauty balm, compared to their originals. While good, cerave has changed their formula too. Nexxus ultralight shampoo was extremely drying.
I picked up 3 Lethal Cosmetics single pressed eyeshadows that I haven’t really used. The color payoff is quite sheer, but I could live with that. It’s the amount of shimmer fall-out that makes using these so unpleasant for me. The shimmer sticks to my skin and is hard to remove, even though I always do my eyes before complexion. The proceeds of 2 of the singles went to a charity that is close to my heart so at least that is something to feel good about, but I will probably be relaying on my tried and true high end eyeshadows in the future.
