Makeup-wise, it’s probably Dior Airflash foundation and Cle de Peau concealer (though “technically”, I bought it to give to my husband to put in my stocking!); skincare-wise, Dr. Brandt exfoliator. And if Tarte’s new palette (PRO X) counts as “high end”, then that is probably my last/newest high end purchase of 2018.

Sephora Canada has a promotion ending today (20% off the sale items) and several Viseart palettes are on sale this week, so they are already reduced by 20%. I’ve always wanted their Neutral Matte and Theory Cashmere palettes (the last one being recommended by Christine), but never picked them up during the Rouge/VIB sale. Now, with this double discount, I purchased them.

Have a wonderful New Year 2019 everyone, blessed with health, joy and love!

Sugarpill bullet lipsticks in Detox and Girl Crush. I love them both. Detox is a perfect bright orange, Girl Crush is a beautiful blue toned fuschia. I’m excited to try more colors now. The packaging is so adorable, white and baby pink with holographic sparkles. I’m super happy with them.

The Pat McGrath Mothership V palette. I’d been salivating over it since the promo pics dropped but it was ALWAYS sold out whenever my coins were lined up for a splurge. I finally got my hands on it during her final sale of the year and I do not regret it.

I ordered Fenty Fu$$y Gloss Bomb and Natasha Denona’s new cheek mini with Pink Champagne from Darya in it. Very happy to end 2018 with those 2 heading my way!
But then last night was *very* weird…I had a large cart on ColourPop and also the Nars Provacateur palette in my Nordstrom cart. Sydney Grace Autumn’s Reign was OOS on her site, so I suppose that may have contributed to the bizarre state of indecision that kept me from hitting “place order” on the other two sites, idk? I literally just drove myself B-A-N-A-N-A-S as midnight approached with questioning whether or not I needed anything in my carts!!

***And then this morning, I went and placed my order for Viseart Coy based on 2 factors: your swatches looking great and that this set of shades DOES fill a major void in my stash. ***

Not liking Provocateur as much as expected. The only matte is a deep warm red, and 1-2 pans have major fallout. It is far odder than expected, and I vastly prefer Fleur Fatale. Nordie’s is the place to score (at least Nars) stuff that’s sold out everywhere else. Never would have gotten Hot Tryst w/o Nordie’s. Even Bluemercury was OOS.

At Ulta because of their UD sale, and I’m a UD fanatic.

Got Liquid Moondust shadows in Magnetic, Recharged, and Solstice. Hex Remedy set of eye pencils. Elements space powder. Heavy Metal Glitter liner trio. Five of their liquid liners in Revolver, Cuff, Goldrush, Intergalactic, and Kush. That’ll join my set of mostly dark colors (Retrograde, Push, Deep End, and Street). I don’t wear black liner, so I’m all about the color.

Best part? Paid for with Ulta points (and a few dollars to round things out).

I’m definitely getting that piggy highlighter as I was born in the Year of the Pig.

I ordered the UD Hex Remedy set also and I’m very excited about it. So excited that I actually ordered 3 of them, 1 for my sister, 1 for my niece. They both love to “borrow” my 24/7 liners and will be psyched to have their own sets of very wearable/ fun colors. Can’t believe how great of a deal that cute little set was! Enjoy yours!

Colour Pop, thanks to different comments on the best palettes article! But I decided not to go for Chasing Rainbows palette and instead two singles (one a glitter) and a small, but eclectic palette called, Makeup Ur Mind, that apparently came out in June of this year. Surprisingly I had only on dupe, the peachy Over It, and the rest,Toasted, Inside Out, Lock & Key, 4ever Young and BRB I don’t (hard to believe I don’t have a dupe for the silver, but well, you never know. At the price though, it doesn’t even matter. The other four look like they’ll pop so well and I think they’ll complement a few new and sassy looks I’m wanting to go for in 2019.

Flexitarian (Finally!). It will be my first supershock highlighter and I spent forever debating between flexitarian and lunch money but finally just went with my gut and decided this was the best shade for my first delving into Colourpop’s supershock highlight formula.

I also picked up Lorac’s shine bright cheek palette yesterday and so far I LOVE. So much for no more blushes for my collection. Maybe I’ll stick to it in 2019 (Doubtful).

I bought the 2018 Tarte Holiday cheek palette, two Touch in Sol metallist eye shadows, two Fenty Mattemoiselle lipsticks and some Stila eye glitters. I used up a 100.00 gift card at Sephora

CeeBee Avatar

I put in (another) Colourpop order of Belle, Dopey (both backups), one of the new lip balms, a lipgloss trio plus the Lit and Through my Eyes palettes so I could get the Chasing Rainbows freebie. That was too good of a deal to resist! 😉

I’ve yet to try the By Terry Ombre Blackstars – managed to snag the limited edition Christmas trio for the same price as a single. It contains the infamous Misty Rock so I’m super excited to see if the formula lives up to the hype.

Great eye cream, but it’s so often a gift with purchase of x-amount, that I never get to buy them. Even now I have a mini size of the eye cream and one of the eye gel from my Black Friday order. 😆 I don’t need to buy another eye cream in 2019.

Low end. Ulta refunded me for an unavailable, but on the packing slip, Nyx (loud) lavender machinist HL. (Makes me think of Rachel R), so I threw in 2 suede l/s, one dark navy and one mauve. The first 2019 might be, but pretty unlikely, Zoeva. I just got a Z box; don’t start the N Y overboard! They do have some things on sale through 1/2, and at least at present, they have free shipping at 100USD. Their regular flat rate is 9.

My last 2018 beauty purchases centred around skincare products that were on sale: Neutragena’s Hydrating Day and Night cream; Essano’s Gentle Exfoliating Scrub and Burt’s Bees Intense Hydration Cream cleanser.

Happy New Year to you Christine and Shaun, plus everyone else here on the blog. I hope you have a happy, healthy 2019 and may there be, a least, a few more beauty products to entrance us this year.

All in the same order from Ulta and all of it is my first time purchasing, so I don’t know yet what to expect:

Makeup: ColourPop Chasing Rainbows Eyeshadow Palette (first CP purchase ever but haven’t tried it yet, been so busy and I prefer taking my time with new makeup in case it doesn’t go well I’ll have time to fix it)

Skincare: Yes to Coconut Cleansing Wipes (also my first time buying, but I’m sure they’ll be fine)

Haircare: SheaMoisture BeautyHack Hair + Body Cleanser (so ridiculously difficult to find quality, fragrance-free haircare! I’ve used it twice and like it so far, but Ulta only carries a very small 3.2 oz size, which won’t last long)

Fragrance: Dolce&Gabbana Light Blue Refreshing Body Cream (have and love the eau de toilette and I like to use the body products to help extend wear time)

I picked up the Viseart Theory Cashmere on sale at Sephora and the Natasha Denona Nude mini palette this week . Very happy with both purchases .

After my last big haul last month, I was still $10 shy of ULTA Diamond, so I went back the next day, and picked up NYX Can’t Stop, Won’t Stop foundation in “Porcelain”.

My last purchase was an order from Colourpop since they were having a 40% off sale…I haven’t tried any of their products except for the blotted lips (which I loved!). I’m excited to try their pressed eyeshadows, lip scrub, bronzer, blush and lippie stix!

Hourglass Arch Brow Sculpting Pencil
I rarely buy products just because every people seem to talk about it… but this pencil has been for years a favorite of Dani (CoffeeBreakwithDani), Anna (TheAnnaEdit) and Ingrid Nielsen, I always got reminded of it; and every Hourglass only make-up tutorial or favorites includes it. I just had to try it.
Also, I really wanted to go back to a tear-drop shaped brow pencil, after using up a Benefit Precisely My Brow mini in literally 3 weeks and being reminded that tear-drops allow me the same precision, but with faster application.

With the brand being available now at Sephora, I’m excited to get to try some Charlotte Tilbury products. 😀 In 2018 I just got the nude Rock ‘N’ Kohl Eyeliner Pencil, but for 2019 I was trying to decide if to try her powder and foundation once the ones I currently have run out.
