Dermalogica Cleansing Oil! I really liked it, though I haven’t repurchased since I have several other oil-based cleansers to try out/go through. It was effective at breaking down my makeup!
Volition Beauty Strawberry-C Brightening Serum. I’ve been using it for a couple years. It also has hyaluronic acid in it. I love this stuff, it’s been a godsend for my post-menopausal skin. Unlike other Vitamin C serums, it doesn’t irritate my sensitive skin. It balances out my skin chemistry and skin tone, eliminates any dryness, brightens my complexion, and reduces acne. It’s on sale frequently, and lasts a long time, so the cost doesn’t bother me.
I literally – like last night – finished another tube of Embryolisse cream. I love that stuff and have 2 tubes in my backup drawer.
I’m From Mugwort Cream: I have gone through at least 4 jars and keep replenishing this daily moisturizer. I use it in concert with the essence to calm my inflammatory skin. It has perfect texture and effectively moisturizes and adsorbs well.
GLAMFOX Rosehip Oil + Bakuchiol Nourishing Eye Cream. Meh, meh, meh. Very thin, not super moisturizing. Nothing special!
Melano CC Vitamin C serum, in the gold tube. This is my favorite Vitamin C serum. It comes in an opaque metal tube so it is protected from light and air and I have never had an issue with it oxidizing. I no longer expect that any product will eliminate or reverse decades of sun exposure but I do believe it has stopped new discoloration from surfacing. It is a dry oil texture that spreads easily and is quickly absorbed. It plays nicely with other serums and sunscreen.
Drunk Elephant Protini Peptides! And, instead of doing my usual switch over to Hada Labo gel cream, I bought another jar of the DE. This decision was partly based on a few weather “future casts” for our region that make it seem like we will have a drier, hotter summer this year. If so, then using a heavily hyaluronic acid moisturizer could potentially be more drying than hydrating. Besides, the DE PP does absolute wonders for the condition of my skin!
Neogen spf50. It was the old, now discontinued version, I’m currently on my last one of that version and will be sad when it’s gone. It was my favorite spf ever. Felt more like a moisturizer. Which is probably why it was discontinued.
A mini of the Paula’s Choice Omega Complex Moisturizer I was using as my night cream. It’s a whipped lightweight moisturizer, good for combination skin almost all year round (I need something more moisturizing during cold winter). It’s a good product like most from the brand, but not something very impressive… but also I’m not that picky with moisturizers, I’m more into treatments and boosters.
I actually replaced it with another one, I have a bunch of minis received as gift with purchase. 😅
Elta MD sunscreen. The non tinted version. Already purchased another. It is my favorite because with never breaks me out 🙂
Crème De La Mer. I’ve been using this since 1988. It works for me. I just like the way my skin feels when I apply this. I’m thinking about trying another old favorite in Erno Laszlo since the La Mer is in the recycling bin.
Estée Lauder Revitalizing Supreme …love…
I’ve bounce around with moisturizers but always come back to this one…
Also Skinfx Barrier + oil foaming cleanser. Cleanses without drying ..love it.
I agree on the Skinfix cleanser! It’s sooo good! A little goes a long way, it spreads beautifully, breaks down makeup and sebum really well to leave skin feeling fresh but not oily or dry.
The very last skincare product I have finished is Weleda’s Body Butter in the jar. Although it is on the more expensive side, this body butter delivers rich moisturising properties to any dry patches of your skin. It is particularly effective on hands, décolletage, lower legs and arms. It prevents skin from becoming flaky, itchy or dry. Very mildly scented and can be used on very sensitive skin.
Tula 24/7 Moisturizer. I love Tula products! Since I started using them, my husband told me that I look 10 years younger (I’m 62). It actually looks like I have had a face and neck lift. I am using all three of their eye sticks, their eye cream, their body moisturizer, and of course, another 24/7 facial moisturizer. I head over heels recommend them.
I finished a bottle of Timeless 20% vitamin c yesterday. I’ve repurchased this a few times and already have opened my backup bottle. Works really well for me. I’ve used vitamin C’s that are 2 to 4x the price with no visible results. I also like that the texture is water-like. So I can use it even in the height of summer without it being to emollient for me and it doesn’t pill if I layer a moisturizer/sunscreen on top.
Eminence Organics Strawberry Rhubarb Hyaluronic Serum, for the third time! I won’t be immediately re-purchasing because I want to try something new with more Vitamin C but likely will in the future and cannot recommend it enough: if “youthful glow” could be bottled and sold, it’d be this stuff.
Nivea Crème, the European version.
I have so many skincare products and moisturizers, but nothing works as well as Nivea Crème for my dry skin. It’s definitely a rich, creamy moisturizer, and oil based, so I can see it not working for some skin types. I use Tretinoin and I’m in my early 40s, and I slather Nivea on every night over my Tret, and I wake up looking 20 years younger… (Just kidding, but I do wake up with well moisturized, clear skin).
I’m halfway through my second jar of Tatcha Water Cream. It’s light, yet extremely hydrating and smells like an expensive spa. It really is worth the price. Also almost done with my 3rd bottle of Glow Recipe Guava Vitamin C Serum. Already have a backup waiting!
