Urban Decay Creep eyeshadow in the NAKED palette, which is surprising. I didn’t realize I used it enough to hit pan. I’ve been trying to hit pan on Half Baked since it’s almost there (why I don’t know I don’t even like the colour but I just happened to notice I was close to hitting pan on it) but it won’t go awaaaaaaaaaay.

Aida Avatar

The only thing I ever hit pan on was the Cream eyeshadow from Lorac’s Pro palette because I was using it exclusively for my browbone. I ended up selling that palette because that was the only shade I was using so I figured it deserved more love from someone else :).

Pami Avatar

How did you sell it Aida? I have soooo many palettes, shadows etc that I buy, sometimes only swatch a shade or two, and end up not using (like UD Naked Palette). I would love to find them a new home, and help repay some of the money I’ve shelled out (and buy more?!).

I know it’s crazy, but sometimes I’ll want something, and then when I get it, I don’t want to use it and mess it up, or I use it a time or two, and find that it just doesn’t work well for me. I’m sure I’m not alone in this fellow makeup junkies 😉

Clio Avatar

Physician’s Formula powder palette “multi-colored light bronzer.” I don’t hit pan often, but this shade is a bit light for me, so I used to really load it on. I was using this a lot before I bit the bullet on high-end bronzers. Sad old compact has been quite forgotten at the back of my dresser this summer, poor thing.

Arlette Avatar

Just hit pan on MAC Naked Lunch. That is my second pan, and I already have my backup in the drawer. And when I start using that backup, I’ll buy another. 🙂

pockykami Avatar

Just to let you know, mac recently changed the b2m rules and pro pans are no longer accepted. Although, your location may still take them because the rules are so arbitrarily applied.

John S. Avatar

Ooh thanks for bringing that to my attention. And GOSH DANG IT. Half my regular MAC products are from the PRO line. I’ll have to see if my local store will make a one-time exception. But yeah, arbitrary indeed!

Lacey J. Avatar

I’ve hit pan on lorac spotlight, (sad moment on that one, its probably only going to last another 7 months OH NO) lol.
Tarte Exposed,
nars orgasm, which is suprising because I dont think it that much but apparently I do,
and as far as eyeshadows are concerned ive hit pan on several cream colored powder eyeshadows in different palettes. I use cream colors alot all over my eye everyday it seems.

The bronzer in my Hourglass Illume Creme-to-Powder Bronzer and Highlight duo in ‘Bronze Light’!
Coincidentally, the product I hit pan and used up before that (although over a year ago) was another bronzer – NARS Laguna. Obviously I am a bronzer fiend! 😀 I did really enjoy the Hourglass bronzer – if used sparingly along the temples, top of cheekbones, bridge of nose, chin and blended into jaw, neck and hairline it gives a very beautiful realistic bronzed flush and the highlight in the duo is a nice natural change up from my more obvious/stark Dior Amber Diamond highlighter. Although I loved this duo a lot for summer, for fall/winter I think I will be switching back to NARS Laguna and using up my Dior Amber Diamond because the Hourglass Bronzer is very orange toned. I know most people are scared of the dreaded ‘oompa loompa effect’, believe me, I was too when I first pulled the duo out of the package! But this one does NOT give me this effect in the summer because I am tan enough for it to look like a beautiful sun-kissed tan. I am a light-medium skin tone (more medium in summer months – around MAC NC30). Although when I go back to my winter pale of around MAC NC25 I feel as though the Hourglass may be too warm toned for my skin. As well, I miss the flexibility a more neutral bronzer such as NARS Laguna can have in being used as a contouring powder as well as bronzer, because I LOVE contouring! So although I really enjoyed the Hourglass, I think my repurchase may be put off until my next holiday vacation, summer or unexpected payday :p

Katie Avatar

Update: Just finished off the last of my full size Hourglass Mineral Veil Primer. Scooped out the very last inch of product from that bottle! I have already repurchased and started using a new bottle. I use this primer everyday! Definitely HG material!

Veronica Avatar

Urban Decay eyeshadow in Sin from the Naked palette. Probably my favorite eyeshadow ever. I’ve also wiped out a few tubes of concealer recently, but that’s pretty typical. 😛

Claudia Avatar

Nars Orgasm blush (already repurchased), MAC studio fix powder NC20, MAC Stars N Rockets, And my pro longwear concealer is also at its last drops.

Candace Avatar

I haven’t hit pan on anything recently, but have been making my way through hair and skincare samples/travel sizes for a while. I’ve gotten through about 5 of 15, but even that feels really good!!

Divya Avatar

I hit pan on Mac Careblend pressed powder.. more natural and better finish than Chanel Les beiges!, mac hush cream color base the most natural highlighter and my mac cream blend blush in something special.. not a favorite just trying to use it up

Jenny Avatar

It’s not literally hitting “pan,” but the Bare Minerals matte foundation on the loose powder form. So, technically I hit the bottom of the plastic container because I did take the sifter out in the end to completely finish the product 🙂

Shantell Avatar

Nars albatross, Mac rubenesque paint lot, and Mac msfn in light 🙂 and my Mac angel lipstick is running very very LOW thankfully though 😉

CC Avatar

OMG how long did it take for you to hit pan on a paint pot? I’ve had mine (Soft Ocher) FOREVERRRRRRRR and while I love it, I really want to see the gosh darn pan! I use mine every single weekday and have had it for over two years, but I STILL DON’T SEE the pan. 4 years? 5 years? Will I be driving a hovercraft by the time I see the pan of a paint pot?

Georgina Avatar

Haha I know how you feel. I used up a paint pot last year (Painterly) and it took 2-2. years of daily use to hit pan. Once you do hit pan you will run out faster than other products where the pan is wider but shallower. I hope you get there soon! I’ve since repurchased it so I know I won’t be seeing the pan for a while…

Laura Avatar

I hit pan on my MAC Skinfinish Natural a little while ago. I thought I had a backup at my mums house but I don’t and I can’t get to a MAC shop till next week. I’ve been trying to get every little bit of powder left out of the pan but I think it’s time to give up and admit it’s gone 🙁

Minh Avatar

I never hit pan on anything, it’s that bad. I have been noticing a trend that my Baked e/s in both Naked pallettes are getting there, as well as the Gold shade in my Lorac Pro. Hmmmmm…..

BooBooNinja Avatar

MAC Prolongwear Bronzer in Nude on Board, from the Hey, Sailor! collection.
I have a back up from the Temperature Rising collection, thanks to my lovely fiancé.

Nicole Avatar

I hit pan on Bobbi Browns Sheer Pressed Powder. But I think it will last another 2 month before I completely finish the product. I’m not sure, whether I buy it again or try a Laura Mercier powder next.

Mariella Avatar

Too Faced Amazing Faced powder foundation. Trying to finish it up just to make more room in the container where I store pressed powder compacts! I haven’t hit pan on an eye shadow in decades….which really drives home the fact that I own way too much eye shadow!

Pami Avatar

Me too, though sometimes I also use Colorescience pressed base or gloMinerals pressed base, and Southern Magnolia Minerals loose powder base. Have hit pan multiple times on them all. The one I used up most recently is the Jane Iredale PowderMe Sunscreen.

I rarely hit pan on anything else because I have waaaay tooo much of everything…

Laurel Avatar

I hit pan on my mac brun eyeshadow that I use for my brows. It hasn’t even been that long either that I’ve had it! Have and will definitely repurchase!

Ashley Avatar

I hit pan on MAC Moleskin eyeshadow which I use to fill in my brows. I also hit pan on Urban Decay Naked eyeshadow. I have a backup of Moleskin but since it was limited edition, I don’t know what I’m going to do once I finish the backup!

Abbey Ward Avatar

I hit pan on MAC Wedge, Nars Laguna, and Nars pressed setting powder. I will repurchase Laguna and Wedge, but I think I’m going to try Nars loose powder this time.

Clara Avatar

I hit pan this week on Guerlain’s Meteorites Compact. I was shocked because I bought it like 6 weeks ago.
Never the less I’m curious about the New Les Violets Compact, which follows Meteorites.

Veronica Avatar

Wow, are you talking about the Mythic version? I used that all through summer, and while it shows signs of wear, I haven’t gotten anywear near hitting pan on it. o_0 Color me impressed.

Linda Avatar

My bobbi brown creamy corrector, I love this stuff but i’m not sure if i’ll buy it again, its quite expensive for the amount of product you get so I might try to find something to replace it.

Maggie Avatar

Ugh! Know your pain. Went through two of those. I’m now using Graftobian HD Glamour Cremes. You should see if you can find one in your shade–the texture is super close to the Bobbi Brown one. I also liked Maybelline Age Rewind as well–the packaging is not so great but the formula is quite nice–better than some higher end brands I’ve tried.

Georgina Avatar

Linda I was looking for a replacement to Bobbi Brown’s Creamy Concealer a while ago because I felt I was going through the pots too quickly every 3-4 months. I am now using Bourjois Healthy Mix concealer (my shade is 52) and I honestly love it. It is not as thick at Bobbi’s so I find it easier to apply but it is pigmented enough to cover and brighten. I thought I’d suggest that in case you wanted to try it instead. Good luck and if you do find another alternative please let me know!

KaseyCannuck Avatar

I had a Clinique lipstick called Waterviolet that I wore down to nothing, and next to run out will be my Lancôme Photo Finish pressed powder in Clair, which is discontinued. I’m using what’s left around the edges. I’ve hit pan on MAC Top Knot, my favourite crease colour, and should be hitting pan on my Maybelline Eye Tattoo in Bad To The Bronze any day now.

Maddie Avatar

MAC Studio FIx + Powder in C3. Definitely repurchased, but YouTube guru TheBeautyVault highly recommends L’Oreal True Match Powder in W2-W3 as a dupe. She thinks it’s just as good or better. SInce her skin type is like mine, I will try that next. If it doesn’t live up… Back to my trusty SF+ lol

erin Avatar

UD skimp i have hit pan on in every UD palette that i have it in. Its fantastic for the brow bone with my skin tone. They really need to make it as a single.

Lauren Avatar

My Urban Decay single eyeshadow in Naked. For me, it’s the perfect matte blending color so I use it whenever a palette doesn’t otherwise have a matte blending shade.. It’s been a while since I hit the pan on a powder product. Before I began collecting makeup, I used to hit the pan fairly regularly – I had one foundation, one powder, one blush and one eyeshadow palette in rotation. Now I have so much makeup, if I finish something or hit the pan it really means something.

Wenz Avatar

MAC prolongwear concealer & tarte exposed blush.
Very close to pan on few of Naked palette favorites like buck & darkhorse. (hoping to last until next ebates Sephora double or VIB sale to get refills)

Liz Avatar

I hit pan on one of my favorite blushes this week. Smashbox blush in Gingersnap. I’m not surprised because I use it all the time and it’s super versatile. I would definitely repurchase.

Ellen Avatar

Sorry, I think its discontinued. It was on my list as a possible replacement for a beauty supply store blush called Santa Fe, a peachy-pink brown color. But when I went to get it, it was gone. They have loose powder blushes now that you shave off as you use them. MAC’s Poised, from the Strength collection, is close, with a slight shimmer. I just got it from maconline because I got an email that they were being discontinued. I got one Poised and two Taupe Shape, which I use for contouring. I got it before the Pro Taupe shade was available online, so I have never tried that one. But back to Gingerly, the Poised or MAC’s Prism, are close. I have really come to love MAC’s blushes. Their foundations are hard to match to my skintone, their powders oxidize and their eyeshadows can become crepey, but the blushes never disappoint!

Geneva Dell Avatar

MAC Texture and Handwritten e/s. I will repurchase handwritten but will replace Texture with Saddle which is matte. I use them for blending out dark colors.

Nicoco Chanel Avatar

If you squint, you can just see that I’ve hit pan on my beloved Benefit Hervana. I have enough other blushes to get through but I’ll probably cry and buy another one because it’s just so effortless to apply imo.

Nikki Avatar

The only thing I’ve ever hit pan on was Black Opal Invisible Oil Blocking Pressed Powder. I use it to set my liquid foundation when I choose to wear it, and it’s amazing!

Jan Avatar

So funny – I was going to suggest a similar question because it dawned on me the other day – I’ve never hit pan on anything powder product. Just lip glosses and moisturizers. Never even finished off a foundation. I either lose them, break them, or feel they’ve expired before I finish them.

I will soon finish my first face product – which is a tinted sunblock from my dermatologist.

I guess I’ve gone through a lot of frogs to try and find my make-up princes.

Quinctia Avatar

Seems like the only thing I ever finish off are base face products and eyeshadow primer, haha.

I saw the bottom of my jar of my CoverGirl Clean Whipped Creme foundation recently, my most recent bottle of Skin79 Hot Pink BB Cream is sputtering, and I used up my last bottle of UDPP in Greed in the old style packaging not too long ago. (Which I was actually quite disappointed about…I have trouble with using too much product with the new packaging, and I never had much issue with waste because I’d store them sideways.)

Jacquelyn Avatar

The last product that I hit pan on was Urban Decay YDK eyeshadow. I love that eyeshadow a lot and I have repurchased the single of it as well at Ulta. I also hit pan on NARS Lovejoy blush in which I need to repurchase soon.

mkdallas Avatar

Although I tend to prefer higher-end makeup products, the ONLY thing I ever hit pan on is dirt-cheap ($5) Butter lip gloss by NYX in Tiramisu. This is like the HG of peachy-nude-MLBB glosses and it lasts for around 3 hours, even though I’m constantly drinking out of a straw. It’s an amazing product because there is not one lipstick I’ve ever used (all pinky/beige/nude shades) that it doesn’t enhance. If something is too light, Tiramisu will deepen it up. If it’s too bold, Tiramisu will mute it down a notch. Don’t ask me how it works, but I will drive off a cliff if they ever stop making it.

Mimi Avatar

I almost never hit pan but I’m proud to say that I have with a Laura Mercier eye shadow in “Stellar”. It’s a beautiful nude that has a very small radiance to it that makes my middle aged eyes look brighter and better without looking “madeup”. I use it as a base or on my lid or browbone with another color in the crease or lid, or just put it all over for a natural fresh look.

Nancy Avatar

Stila Illuminating powder in 10 Watt. It’s my third time to hit pan on it; I love it. It’s so easy to use when the weather is too hot to use any liquid foundation. It goes on quickly and is a perfect match. And yes, I have a backup at the ready!

I finally hit pan on an old Prescriptives pressed powder leaves blush in Rose Baroque. I have no idea how many years I’ve had it. I have so much makeup, it’s hard to hit pan on anything.

G Avatar

Carge Suedeblush in Montebello. Repurchased and have several back ups.

And, I just hit pan on Guerlain Meteorites Compact Pressed Powder a few days ago…

Ellen Avatar

Estee Lauder’s eyeshadow single in Summer Linen, its all gone! That hasn’t happened in a long time! Can’t seem to find a good dupe, and the stores don’t carry it anymore. The other one was an EL eyeshadow called Kenyan Copper that I use to hightlight the center of my eyelid. When it was discontinued, I called and was able to procure ONE more! Since them I’ve been accumulating peachy/coppery colors in an attempt to match, but I’m just spending more money on eyeshadow, so now pans will not be seen for a long time. A recommendation for a good cream colored base color for fair skintones on eyelids would be appreciated, I find Bobbi Brown’s light colors to be too sheer, and I’m afraid of MAC’ s because of a tendency to crease and look dry. Estee Lauder is making more palettes now and less singles, and they are all very frosty. I just need a good, basic, velvety cream color to layer eyeshadows over – that’s an item that gets used frequently and, as illustrated above, seems to fill the bill for hit the pan the most!

xamyx Avatar

I would ask MAC Customer Service via email, and get the *exact* policy in writing. My understanding is there is a “uniform” policy, and as long as you have the paper slip-cover part, they’ll take it.

T Avatar

OMG! I’m not the only one! Just came accross this post because I too have been searching foreverrrrrrrrrr for a dupe of Summer Linen!! It’s my all time favorite. If anyone has a suggestion it would be greatly appreciated!!!

Tonnie Avatar

Bare Minerals loose powder concealer in Summer Bisque (2B). I recently visited their outlet and purchased 3. I don’t know what I would do if they discontinued it. My dark circle eraser for sure. I also buy Mary Kay blonde wooden brow pencils three at a time. Have been for 18 years. Nothing else matches my warm/taupe brows.

Chelsea Avatar

I have hit pan on my Benefit Hoola Bronzer… Actually I haven’t got a bit left of it!
Also in my UD Naked palette I hit pan on Half Baked, Buck and Virgin, my three go-to colours.

roxana Avatar

I don’t know about you but I always seem to finish more than a few products at once. 😛 This really frustrates me because when I need to repurchase I have to spend quite the amount. But to move on the subject I just finished:

– my Givenchy Phenomen’Eyes Mascara which I need to repurchase;

– my Bioderma Sensibio H2O which I think I am going to replace with Chanel’s version. I’m curious to find out if Chanel is better and if it deserves the extra price;

– my Lancome 24h Foundation which I am going to repurchase because it’s a HG for me;

– and lastly my eye & face creams are going to dye on me. I think they’ll be for good use for a week or so!

Raeda Avatar

Eatee Lauder Radiant Peach blush. I have back ups od back ups of this product because it was discontinued. In my opinion, this blush is what NARS orgasm wanted to be but failed-tried-but failed.

Kady Avatar

Not counting samples or my crease shade on my “I Dream of Greenie” palette (it came broken), I’ve never hit pan on anything. But, I’m close on my UD Sin from the Ammo palette. It’s such a beautiful shade and I use it a lot for my everyday look.
