What was the last makeup release to catch your eye?

I wouldn’t say it strongly caught my eye or anything, but the most interesting out of the recent launches was MAC’s Re-Think Pink. MAC just does lipstick well, and it was nice to see new shades in their standard formulas, too.

We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! The Tom Ford Bitter Peach quad is definitely catching my eye, and I am trying hard to resist. I spied his Bitter Peach and Lost Cherry scents in body spray form for preorder, but my hesitation caused me to miss out and now they are sold out. I will jump all over that if it returns.

I can’t think of a specific one, but new lipsticks and highlighters always make me sit up a little straighter. They’re my favorite color cosmetics and I’ve developed a very limited color palette of flattering shades; and seemingly those shades/undertones are still quite a lot less popular than what is released regularly. So, yeah, a lipstick release catches my eye, but just as quickly is dismissed when they only include pinks and mauves.

Speaking of MAC , a nearby Ulta has the Glow Play Tinted Balms on display. I always want to buy one or two. They look so nice and I love MAC lip products but I have to talk myself out of buying each time bc I DON’T NEED any new lip products!! Tempting very tempting lol

I know how you feel! I searched for it got months on end. I actually found it a week or two ago on the escentuals website. Maybe you’ll be in luck and they will still have some! It wouldn’t let me ship to the US, so I had to pay extra to use a forwarding service (Shippn) – but, the quint is cheaper over tget as it is… I might have actually paid less in total doing it that way rather than buy in the states… Not that I had the option since it was sold out everywhere.

Thanks for that info, Katrina! Only catch was that once I calculated the total cost, I was looking at $100 minimum. A bit much for just a Dior quint, I feel. I’m just not sure if it is worth it. Kinda depressing. However, I may be able to put something similar enough together with indie brands. Not sure, but I’m going to look at the Dupe List to see. Don’t get me wrong, I DO appreciate your giving me the heads up!

The last makeup release that really caught my eye was Lorac’s Fairytale Forest and accompanying minis.
I think their whole 2020 collection, which included the Noir and Soleil palettes of desaturated neutrals was just perfect for me. I have ended up purchasing Noir (which I use frequently), Soleil and the Fairytale Forest palettes.

I’m planning on grabbing at least three of the new Lancôme lipsticks. Even though Coquette isn’t new I’m looking forward to a fresh one and a couple of the rose/mauve shades.

The new release of the infinite chrome pencil eyeliners from Danessa Myricks the darker pigmented ones show up better on my fair skin than others but the pale ones look very cool on the water line. I really tried not to buy them but failed miserably.
