Bobbi Brown art stick in rose brown and Dior addict fluid stick in avant garde
Just yesterday, I accidentally found a lovely combo! Nyx Earthtone Slim Lip pencil to give my lips crisp edges, softy smudged, MAC Pure Zen lipstick (which is usually too weird looking over my plum toned lips, like cyanotic looking!), topped it with Nyx Crystal Soda Mega Gloss. Dang, what a nice surprise! And here I was ready to disinfect and give Pure Zen away, LoL.
My red W.Lab lipstick looks really nice with Urban Decay Sheer Streak.

Mac Twig and Clinique’s melon pop. During the warmer months, twig a a lil too dark/ brown toned, so mixing melon pop makes it more if a nude with some character ??

I don’t usually go for lip combinations. I use only lipstick or only lipgloss and rarely use lip liner.

MAC Creme Cup + Vegas Volt; the combination creates a beautiful color.

Nyx nutmeg lip liner with Abu Dhabi soft matte lip cream by nyx too.
I don’t usually layer lipgloss over a lipstick but the last lipstick I have loved is Buxom’s Sinful Cinnamon:)

Hmm. I’ve been playing around with a lot of different lips lately. I think my favorite is the Tarte Energy lip tint with the Energy Noir lip gloss over top! Very cool-toned but light enough for spring.
Pair a cool pencil with a warm lipstick and vice versa.
yeah, MAC Hot Chocolate didn’t work out so well for me colour wise..
So I grabbed the LE Brooke Candy purple liner and created a base layer and applied hot chocolate on top to mauve and cool it down. Much better. I could probably do the same for a completely different look with Stone pencil.
Same here, MAC Hot Chocolate was a total dud for my complexion as well. I very often have to add a purple liner to cool things down or create a little more intensity. I also blend MAC Captive to lip colours which wash me out.
I think it’s the intensity which my complexion needs too. Mine sucks away colour somehow. I have same issue with eyeshadow. In some cases, I actually feel I LOOK better without any makeup colour whatsoever rather than..

Great timing: I was waiting for the cream contour/highlight from the Bratty Brant Bros collection to be in stock. I just threw this lipstick in my bag too.
Anyone in Canada waiting on that compact: it’s now live on Mac. The rest of the collection has been avail for days, but this compact was ‘Coming Soon’. Anyhoo..It’s here.
ha! Bratty Brants, lol. Yeah, I had no idea MAC Canada had issues like that, annoying btw I’m Canadian as well. I love how fast they ship (even when you don’t pay for next day I somehow always get it next day anyhow).
I really hope Captive works out for you. Only takes a little to fix an otherwise neutral colour to a more wearable shade (It’s the only way I can wear Twig.)
Interesting, I’ll have to try something similar with Hot Chocolate, I do like the colour but it pulls warmer on me too whereas I liked the mauve tones on Christine.

Bite Opal over anything! I like to dab it in the middle of my lips over matte purple or red.

NYX Prune lip liner with NARS Anna over it. I’d love to find a single tube of lipstick which could give me this colour combo.
Sounds exactly like something I would love too. Nars Anna is terrific on it’s own.. but… needs that bit more.

The combination is Mac orange neon with Mac girl about town
I usually don’t combine lip products (I wear one lipstick or one gloss most of the time) but last week after applying the Matte Creme Lip Crayon from Bite Beauty in Gavi I thought it looked a little too dull, so I added shimmer in the center of the lips with a Lancome Juicy Tube that I got in a GWP last year, in a champagne shade, and it worked really well!
Tried MAC Viva Glam II and Viva Glam Ariana Grande gloss together. Very nice neutral glossy lips as a result.
Urban Decay “Big Bang” (I have the old pencil version) over Melt “Dark Room.”
Bite Eggplant Matte Crayon and Fresh Berry Lip Treatment. I use the crayon to lightly line and fill and then just push a tiny bit of the balm on top.
Nyx Opal over ColourPop Ultra Matte in Trap. Opal keeps the raisin lips effect away, and makes the color less gray. The combo looks really lovely, and now I don’t have to trash Trap.
Lorac Alter Ego Lipstick in Girl Next Door and Makeup Forever #50. They create a beautiful grey toned purple.
CoverGirl lip liner in Sublime and Kat Von D liquid lipstick in Bow N Arrow…on my cocoa skin, it’s PERFECTION! Awesome nude lip!
Charlotte Tilbury Iconic Nude Lip liner plus Anastasia Bev Hills Pure Hollywood liquid lipstick is the perfect browny-pink for those who dont like peach in their browny-pink nudes!
I own a lot of lip liners, lipsticks and glosses but very rarely do I use the lip liners. My favorite lipstick right now is Tom Ford’s moisturecore lip colors. I find myself wearing them constantly I just love the formula and the smell. It also lasts on me.
Tom Ford ‘Indian Rose’ topped with Armani Sheer ‘202 Dolce’ especially if I am wearing a bright blush and need a neutral lip.
Colourpop Ultra Satin Liquid Lipstick in Spritz and NYC Butter Gloss in Eclair
Charlotte Tilbury lip liner in “Crazy In Love” and Lorac Alter Ego Lipstick in “Seductress”. The Lorac lipstick pulls a little coral on me and the lip liner brings it back to a slightly rosier tone which just looks better with my skin tone. I also really love taking MAC lip pencil in “Nightmoth” lightly all over the lips and then the By Terry gloss in “Perfume of His Gaze” over top for a really vampy night look.

I often layer a couple of differently coloured lipsticks to get a certain colour. Maybelline’s Coffee Craze with their Coral Crush.
I combine lipsticks all the time but do it by sight, not by name. I’m not wearing glasses when I apply makeup and am unable to read the small print! Actually, I often can’t read them with glasses.
I’m loving MAC Taupe Lipstick + MAC Cork Lip Liner + NYX Smokey Look Gloss – It’s a great nude lip combo for brown girls!
You’ve given me some good ideas! Taupe is my olddie-but-goodie MAC lipstick. I found MAC Oh Baby lipgloss when on vacation and love the combo.
NARS liner in Waimea with Charlotte Tilbury’s Stoned Rose, a great warm-toned MLBB/nudish color for spring/summer.
KatVonD’s Lolita in everlasting liquid and as it dries I top it with KVD Cathedral studded lipstick. It is totally smear proof and the color- PERFECT DEEP ROSE!!❤️?

Also, I like the “magic marker” type lip stains so I’m currently using discontinued Revlon Just Bitten in Beloved with my new love, NARS Velvet Gloss Lip Pencil in Sheer Grape.
Milani blushing beauty and pretty natural lipsticks. I dont wear either alone but together they are perfect. Here it comes guys a cliché; your lips but better color. I place one color on bottom lip and the other on top lip followed by mushing my lip together.?
Bobbi Brown Artstick in Dusty Rose with a Dior Addict Fluid stick in Plaisir. Great hot weather combo.
A very simple pinky-nude lip; Charlotte Tilbury Bitch Perfect pencil with Clinique Beige Pop lipstick. Love it!
Cargo un-liner in the lightest shade with just about anything.
Neutrogena Moisture Smooth color sticks- classic nude, pink nude and almond. None of them are perfect on their own, but I love mixing any two together!
They are SO comfortable to wear !
i’ve been rotating between these soooo much lately
– mac stripdown lip pencil + clinique lip pop 04 beige pop
– urban decay bang lip pencil + nars audacious geraldine and/or laura mercier lip parfait juicy papaya
– mufe aqua lip 21C + a clear gloss
Colourpop’s “Bound” lip liner to line the lips and NYX’s “Nude Pink” lip liner to fill in the lip. Such a beautiful pinky brown lip combo and goes with almost every look.
The Kat Von D liquid lipsticks make a great base for the OCC RTW colors and really help the colors stick and prevents some of the bleeding. This is the only combo that makes the OCC RTW work well for me.
NYX soft matte lip cream in Amsterdam mixed with Mac lip pencil in Redd and Mahogany it turned out to be a great color but a lot of work…
MAC Hover pencil with Jubilee lipstick or Touch lipstick. Two totally different looks, but Hover makes everything blend with my skintone. I pray its not being discontinued, getting very hard to find.
Oh, I specifically found this question cause I finally HAVE found a lip color combination that I’m really happy about.
I’m NC 15 (NARS Sheer Glow in Goby looks almost perfect on me) and I loved:
1. MAC Dervish lip liner to outline
2. MAC Viva Glam II
3. MAC Fleshpot on top and “blend” it with my lips into one color.
