Guerlain Wulong has become a real go-to, and it will be hard for me to put it away once the holidays pass!

Guerlain Lingerie de Peau <3
I love this too!
Stila prime pots, Elizabeth arden eye fix and Benefit’s They’re real! Mascara. amazing products!
I can’t get enough of Sleek makeup contour kits, my cheekbones have never looked better. I also love Illamasqua’s under eye concealer, it’s light & creamy and great for mature and drier skin types.
My skin has been suffering from a lot of dryness lately and it was flaky in certain areas. I tried a lot of moisturizers, but nothing worked until I tried the Bare Escentuals Active Cell Renewal Serum. Now I know why it has such high ratings. It cured the flakiness after a couple of uses. It’s amazing.
I’m thinking either ExfoliKate (intensive; the orange print) or L’Occitane hand cream. Both of these have become staples in my life and I’d rebuy them in an instant. For makeup, Guerlain’s pressed Meteorites. Best pressed powder I’ve ever used, and I use it to set my BB cream or tinted moisturizer. (But after the post earlier today on ‘Best Setting Powder’ I’m considering trying a couple others!)
TokyoMilk’s Lip Elixirs. First off, they smell great, but secondly, I don’t even know what it is about them, but something about the formula just works wonderfully – I can apply it to my lips before bed, and no matter how damaged they are, I wake up in the morning with them feeling lovely! I’ve stockpiled them. 😀
Which one is your favorite? I’ve tried all except Clove Cigarette. I’m not super impressed with the formula but I love the smell of La Vie En Rose, Cherry Bourbon, and Coco Noir. Their Bon Bon Lip Balm formula is even better, check those out if you get a chance.
I think Salted Caramel is my favorite! I’ll have to check out the Bon Bon Lip Balm – not sure how much luck I’ll have getting my hands on ’em in Canada, but I’ll keep an eye out!
I picked up a NYX lipstick in Honey last week, and it just may be my perfect nude (which is a really big deal, as I *love* nude lipstick).
Prior to this, I discovered the wonders of jojoba oil last April, and then L’Oreal Sublime Sun SPF 50 (*almost* HG, but it’s not paraben-free) this past Summer. I’m also in love with Garnier BB Cream, but since I have yet to try a “real” one, I’ll have to reserve judgement.
I’ve found 3 thank goodness! My first is one I’ve used for a few years now, and after trying so many other powders, my holy grail powder is MAC Mineralize Skin Finish Natural, it still allows me to, yet it’s a powder.. And it doesn’t dry my eczema prone skin. The second is the NARS le Stylo liquid liners… They make my everyday winged liner easy and perfect! The final is again something I’ve used a couple of, and that’s the Benefit They’re Real mascara… The wand is perfect for me and the formula doesn’t clump!
MAC Love Goddess lipstick for me! What a perfect shade! ♥
Ole Henriksen truth serum. It’s hydrated my face like god-send~!
Bobbi Brown’s corrector. It was used on me by one of her make up artists at a department store event. It was life changing! I’ve always had very dark circles under my eyes and had tried a multitude of concealers that really didn’t help. I know many people think it is an extraneous step, but her light bisque (pinkish)corrector works better than any neutral or yellow toned concealer to blend the under eye area with the skin on the rest of my face. She says to put concealer over it, and sometimes I do, but I think that just wipes away the corrector! I don’t know of any other company that makes a product like this, most other products are duplicatable, so I guess this is my HG product!
My holy grail for face primer is Hourglass Mineral Veil and I just found that in June. It is really a fickle list though. I kicked off three products from my HG list that had been there for a few years.
1. Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage – waited for my MAC to run out, but I couldn’t wait any longer!
2. Chanel Loose Powder – worth every penny and didn’t mind the jumbo sized packaging
3. Maybelline Falsies mascare – affordable, thickening and not clumpy
Paula’s Choice’s new Resist Anti-Aging Foundation. It’s a gorgeous, silky, light-med coverage foundation with a flawless satin finish, and it’s loaded with healthy ingredients for skin, is fragrance free and feels like nothing on. It’s similar to Urban Decay’s Naked Skin Foundation except a tiny bit less pigmented and a little smoother feeling/looking. Love!
I’ve been waiting a long time for this foundation to come out, and when I got my samples I was a little disappointed. Not a dewy finish at all, more satin matte, and seems to highlight rather than camoflage fine lines and pores. The colors are perfect skin matches, even more of a reason to be disappointed, I wanted it to be the foundation for dry skin that she hasn’t made yet, I guess she still hasn’t. I’m a big fan of a few of her products, and she was the original beauty blogger!
Aaaw, that’s too bad that it didn’t work for you! I have oily/combination skin that is dry around my eyes and it works for me. I think my favorite thing is to prep my skin with her Skin Balancing Moisture Gel and use Moisture Boost around my eyes. Then it doesn’t settle in lines at all, for me. I also like the Hourglass Mineral Veil primer with it.
My recent favorite foundation is Chantecaille ‘future skin’ foundation. It’s so cold and windy outside, but my face doesn’t get dry at all under this foundation. And it looks so natural like my own skin, with enough coverage for redness pots and pores.
why do you have to put it away once the holidays pass christine?? i saw your review for it and it was beyond gorgeous!
It’s a LE product, and I don’t wear products once they sell out/pass the season (if they were LE), since readers can’t buy it.
I’ve had a very, very good few months of make-up buying, thanks to Illamasqua. My HGs:
Foundation: Skin Base foundation in #2: perfectly pale, and perfectly balancing for my combination skin
Blush: Cream blush in Rude: brings pale skin to life, and according to my colleagues, makes me look like a porcelain doll!
Concealer: #115: banishes dark circles and blemishes in a few dabs
Contouring: Cream pigment in Hollow: gives me perfect cheekbones and really does just look like a shadow, not a swipe of mud.
Oh, I love Hollow, too! I’ll have to try Rude. I really love Betray.
Prestige Waterproof lip liner! It makes any lipstick (even $2 crap from the drugstore) stay on FOREVER and it doesn’t give me the dreaded inner-lip crust. My favourite one is True Red.
Estee Lauder’s DoubleWear foundation. Holy God WHY did I not discover this sooner!!!? That and probably lanolin cream I use as a lip balm…
I’ve just recently started using Murad’s Hydro-Dynamic Ultimate Moisture, and I don’t want to make the “holy grail” declaration too soon, but I’m thinking this could make its way to staple “HG” status. I’ve got *very* dry and flaky skin thanks to annoying medical conditions, so I need a thicker moisturizer that legitimately softens and hydrates. Josie Maran Argan Oil/Argan Oil is also a recent HG item. I use it for multiple tasks, but it’s become my HG day moisturizer. I can wear the Murad in the day, too, but it can take 20-30 to fully soak absorb. The Argan Oil soaks into my skin in about 5-10 minutes. Also, Hourglass No 28 Primer Serum has become my staple primer. I was not a fan of face primer before this one. It does double duty as skincare and prep for makeup, and while it’s spendy, I don’t need to use a lot of it, so it lasts. These three products together have completely beat my skin into soft, silky, smooth submission.
Also, I didn’t think it was possible to have a holy grail glitter, but I have a holy grail glitter, lol. LORAC 3D Liquid Lustre is like glitter for lazy dummies, LOL. All I’ve got to do is tap it on and I’ve got glittery goodness in seconds.
I’m also hella loving my LORAC Pro Palette. I don’t know if I’d call it a holy grail item, though. Are staples and HG items the same thing? I’d say so, but what do y’all think?
I think you can have “staples”, HGs, or “staple HGs”. I have a ton of matte neutral shadows, for example, and most are quite good, but none are all together in one palette, so although they’re all “staples” that I use nearly every day, none have reached HG status. I’ve actually got the LORAC Pro palette & UD Naked Basics on my short list, though, and from what I know of each brand, one will *definitely* be HG for me.
I have a several items that have become HG for me:
1.) CoverGirl lashexact mascara – soo good in waterproof.
2.) Laura Mercier’s Silk Creme Foundation – just a teeny bit covers a LOT and even on my acne scarred skin makes it look quite smooth and even toned.
3.) Benefit’s erase paste – it’s quite spendy for a concealer, but I’ve gone through one container and working on a second.
4.) realTechniques expert face brush – purchased one and will buy another soon for when the others drying.
5.) Mac 217 – I thought I sucked at blending but learned the brush really does all the work for you. Have two and if they randomly caught on fire I would purchase again!
That’s about all of my HG items!
Sisley Cleansing Milk with Sage
MAC ‘Forever Marilyn’ Beauty Powder. It’s amazing! Too bad it was limited edition 🙁
L’oreal Voluminous Million Lashes, it gives my lashes the definition they need. Can’t live without it!
Burberry Military Red lipstick and all my Kiko haul ( many products I spent a lot but I am very glad I did ! ) Hope you’ll get Kiko products in the US because they are just great.
As for Burberry Military Red I couldn’t do without : great texture, gorgeous colour, long-wearing, classy !
It’s probably my foundation – Guerlain Lingerie de Peau. I was so delighted to find a foundation that always applies well, with no artificial look. Oh, and Tarte Amazonian Clay blushes. I only have one but, to be honest, it’s all I need.
Can’t believe it took me so long to find Fresh Soy cleanser!!!! Love! So gentle on my eyes and I can take all of my makeup off with it.
Chanel’s Inimitable Intense mascara ♥ I used to be disappointed in Chanel’s mascaras but this one does everything it promises to. I just hope it won’t dry out too fast since I find that aside from Lancôme’s, most mascaras then to dry out after about 3 months.
Flat headed Kabuki Brush
I bought a cheep one because I wasn’t sure if I’d get on with it but it’s a great way to put on powder foundations. I use it every day.
About to treat myself to a more expensive one
Guerlain meteorites perles du dragon! that and shiseido pk307 lipstick. i wear both everything day at work.
Guerlain Lingerie de Peau and Rouge G Lipsticks. Thanks to you, Christine! 🙂
MAC Harmony Blush creates the perfect contour on my medium skin!
Anastasia lash genius! It makes any mascara waterproof and now I can wear any mascara without flaking. Also since I usually like the non waterproof version of a mascara more than the waterproof this allows me to still have that protection of a waterproof with the better formula!
Any particular reason you would put it away after the holidays rather than wearing it all year?
I don’t have many HGs, but I adore Guerlain’s Illuminating & Mattifying pressed meteorites, just hit pan on my second compact!
It’s not permanent – I avoid using LE products once they sell out/pass since I am a beauty blogger. It feels very wrong to consistently use products that readers can’t buy.
the maybeline under eye concealer eraser, works very good 🙂
Sephora’s creme contouring blush in Flashy Fuschia and Poppy Pink, love the texture of them and the effortless application.
Laura Mercier lipstick in Sienna. I am a red lipstick weakling – I buy every one I see, and I must have 100. And there are so many good ones out there – the Armani Maestro and Rd’A, Diorific Diorling, Guerlain, Rimmel, WnW, high end, drug store and in between, there are a lot of good ones. So it takes a lot for one to be a standout. But this one, Sienna….the color is so flattering, the formula is so smooth and comfortable, and it wears as long as you want it to. Hmmmmm I may just have to look into more LM products…..
Butter London Nail Foundation basecoat and Hardwear topcoat! Before I discovered this duo I would never wear polish on my finger nails because they always chipped within 24 hours. Now I wear nail polish from all kind of brands (both high-end and drugstore) and they all last at least a week. I’ve worn nail polish almost every day for the past 6 months, and I love not having to be more careful with what I do with my hands and worry about chipping.
I really, really, really love my Chanel Sable Emouvant Eyeshadow duo. It’s so easy to use and incredibly flattering. It may seem boring for some, but it works wonders for me. I got at the same time my Guerlain Samsara lipstick, which I’m very fond of, and almost the same day my Armani ETK eyeshadow #14. I basically found three of my holy grails nearly at the same time!
Quite honestly I’ve never found one! I’ve been starting to think they don’t exist, except for other people saying they’ve found theirs!
The only thing that comes to mind is my MAC Brow Pencil in Spiked, I buy them two at a time. They are the only thing that I just HAVE to have. I experiment a lot with other products but my brows are strickly left to Spiked 🙂
Rouge G L’Extrait in Avarice….super awesome!
#1 Holy grail discovery for me, Le Volume De Chanel mascara, for fine/blonde eyelashes it’s like applying false eyelashes for me really was a delightful surprise!
#2 Chanel nail lacquer love love love the coverage, quality and luxury feel.. <3
I re-discovered Chanel tient innocence foundation (liquid) I used to love it and still it’s the best liquid foundation I’ve ever used
Most recent HG hair care product: BioSilk Silk Therapy – my hair hasn’t been this bouncy and healthy in years.
Most recent HG skin care: Rodial Dragon’s Blood Eye Gel – nothing has ever tamed my under-eye bags, darkness and dryness like this. It’s a technological miracle.
Most recent makeup HG: MAC Deeply Dashing Pressed Pigment. Perfect, wet-look neutral eye. I use a silicon sponge applicator and don’t have any fallout. ‘Wear it almost every time I wear shadow.
Guerlain Shine Automatiques! It’s the nicest lipstick formula I’ve ever used, very moisturizing and glossy. They’re expensive but I have four colors so far because they feel so good to wear.
Revlon Colorstay Whipped Cream Makeup. Is the only foundation that lasts at least 6 hours on my extremely oily skin. My face looks clean and without shine for hours and it doesn’t break.
I also discovered, recently, a brand named Just Swiss and I use their Tea Tree cleansing gel and toner which helps me tremendously to calm my acne prone skin. Also, I use their Mallow cream to moisturize the dry patches I have on cheeks.
You might want to try putting a thin layer of milk of magnesia on after your moisturizer and before any makeup, then spray your face with Urban Decay De-Slick. When your makeup is done, spray De-Slick again and powder. I also have crazy oily skin that would breakdown my makeup and this has made a world of difference. My makeup now lasts until about 8 at night!
Tri Derma Redness Repair Moisturizer is a godsend for my dry, reactive, allergy-and-breakout-prone skin. Wears well under makeup, is moisturizing enough without causing breakouts, no allergic reactions, and it has antioxidants.
Also, Missha Signature BB Cream in Shade 13 might be HG material for me. It’s light enough in color (which is a huge issue for me, I’m very fair), no breakouts, great wear-time, antioxidants.
MAC Prep + Prime Skin Smoother- perfect for places where my moisturizer doesn’t quite smooth everything out (T-zone, basically); makes a huge difference for me in photos!
I had it for awhile but didn’t see much of a difference in how it really enhanced my look, but once I started using a thick concealer around my t-zone it really showed me that it works! The concealer definitely enhances my pores when I don’t use it so I’m going to pick up another compact of it in the future since I just ran out.
Milani eye tech extreme liquid eye liner is the best liquid liner I’ve found.
Lancome Teint Idole…where has this foundation been all my life!!!
agreed! if you dont like heavy feeling coverage this is your baby!
Make-up – 1. EL Double Wear and Double Wear light. Living in the tropics demands a long-wearing, non-transfering foundation and I think I’ve hit jackpot.
2. Milani Liquif’eye in Gold..love love especially on the waterline or in the inner tear duct smudged out.
3. Barry M Dazzle Dust in Gold Iridescent. So sad that I didn’t buy more while I lived in the UK 🙁
Perhaps most of all, my main HG has been my discovery of GNC Ultra Mega Active MultiVitamin. My once brittle nails are strong and healthy again, my energy levels have been greatly boosted and my hair is growing thicker and stronger. Highly recommend.
DHC Cleansing Oil! I’ve used others but they end up making my skin feel dry or not quite as clean. This one leaves it soft but clean. It takes off every single waterproof eye makeup I own without having to scrub at my eye (thus tugging too hard on delicate skin around the eyes). I just gently massage/rub until I feel the mascara go off. Bonus: the base is olive oil instead of mineral oil.
Milani Champagne Toast Shadow Eyez for the lower waterline is amazing!
I was going to ask why you would have to put Guerlain Wulong away once the holidays pass, Christine, but now I see your answer! That’s very considerate of you, I know I hate when I see a blogger wearing something and there’s just no way I can get it 🙂
My HG product list is really tiny, but maybe Nars Albatross? It’s just so soo PERTY and different from my other highlighters.
Definitely my Julep Volumizing Mascara! At first I had my doubts but after a week of letting it sit on my desk I finally used it and I was thrilled!!!!
I have short and stubborn Asian lashes so pretty much all non-waterproof mascaras don’t hold my curl except for this one. It’s been almost 6 hours and it’s still holding on strong!
I finally bought Dior amber diamond and it’s amazing! It’s very subtle and gives me a lovely glow. I also use it on my eyelids over eyeshadows to give them a little pop.
I’ve been going through all of the moisturizer samples I have before settling on one I really want, so I discovered Juice Beauty’s Green Apple SPF 15 Moisturizer being my HG moisturizer. I got it in a previous Glam Bag and never tried it out, which I’m kicking myself over not trying it earlier! The scent isn’t so pleasant, but otherwise it’s the best moisturizer I’ve tried for keeping my oily t-zone at bay while keeping the rest of my dry skin hydrated. If they took the scent of Kate Somerville’s moisturizer I think it would be absolutely perfect!
very surprisingly for me, mufe’s hd foundation – i originally had shade 153, and it looked gross on me, too sallow (looking the shade descriptor over, it’s meant for olive undertones – i have yellow tones), and i wasn’t applying it correctly – i was applying far too much. i’ve corrected my shade to 170 and apply much less, it’s a beautiful foundation. ooh and chanel poudre universelle libre, expensive but a huge jar and leaves a wonderful, wonderful finish!
Diorskin Amber Diamond !!!
Guerlain’s Meteorites in Teint Beige, and MAC Fix+!! Nothing better to make my skin look even and dewy!
Dior Rosy glow blush. It’s the perfect pink for me.
Missha perfect cover bb cream, i wear it everyday for a natural look
Love it!
mac kohl pencil in feline. it doesn’t irritate my eyes when i put it on my water line.
I miss Feline… *le sigh*
Bobbi Brown Concealer in Golden.
Origins Quick, Hide concealer in light/medium.
Matches my skin beyond perfectly.
Every single time I use it I am no less amazed than the first time.
It’s such a dream to apply & hides a myriad of sun-damaged splotches on my cheeks as well as any little rogue red marks that just appear as well as detract from my insanely obvious dark circles.
Best $16 money can buy when it comes to my face!
Chanel Stylo Yeux Waterproof Long Lasting Eyeliner in Or Rose (amazing for waterline)
Chanel Eyelash Curler & Chanel Le Volume de Chanel Mascara
Guerlain ‘Meteorites’ Illuminating & Mattifying Pressed Powder Teint Rose
Guerlain ‘Parure de Lumiere’ Light Diffusing Foundation 01 Beige Pale & Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Ultra Definition Liquid Makeup 0.5
RevaleSkin Intense Recovery Treatment & Exuviance Intensive Eye Treatment Pads
Covergirl simply ageless creme blush. I have the worst time finding blushes that look natural on me, with my fair yellow toned skin, and hyper pigmentation on my cheeks (thank you pregnancy melasma). Often times I just wear bronzer and say to heck with it. I also have a hard time with creme blushes, either they are way too oily or they simply fade away in a few hours. These have a different consistency, almost hard in the compact yet extremely pigmented, allowing you to tap into them and build the color very gradually. The colors are great, especially Plush Peach which is a much darker, warmer peach than you usually see. They sink into the skin, with no powdery or greasy texure.. and they last all day. I haven’t touched another blush in over a month.
Bobbi Brown Lip Color. I love the colors and the formula is amazing. Nude is probably my favorite color.
Guerlain Lingerie de Peau in 01. Originally bought the 02 but it was wayy to dark & yellow. The 01 is like my skin but better!
“Holy Grail”? Hmmm…
Well I really love they way Illamasqua Skin Base looks on – really natural and flawless…but I don’t like the ingredients. (Mineral Oil + My Skin = Acne)
I’d have to say Inglot’s cream/gel liners. They are so smooth and pigmented, and mine have not dried out at all. Plus they’re affordable and have a good color range. (I bought mine on black friday so they were under $10!) The liner brush I bought also works really well and hasn’t frayed one bit!
Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer, no question. It’s the only TM I’ve found that matches my porcelain skin perfectly.
Clinique Intensive Night Cream is also an HG of mine. I notice the difference when I use it and when I use something else. 31 and still no wrinkles or lines on my forehead! Swear it’s a miracle product, since I see them when I DON’T use it for a while.
Arcona Tabula Rasa…my skin loves me now
The last two: Hard Candy Tiki bronzer and MAC Gingerly blush. Tiki looks fantastic against my skin (~NC35)–glowy but not at all glittery. Gingerly is a great everyday blush that totally warms up my face and compliments any look!
Caudalie Divine OIl
YSL ROUGE PUR COUTURE lip Stain in Rouge Gouache – perfect Red in the perfect texture for me
Bumble & Bumble styling cream and defrizz
Lauren Mercier highlighter bronze
Stila Cosmetics Smudge Crayon Waterproof Eye Color in Black- Works better for me than Urban Decay 24/7
Stila One Step primer
Fresh Sugar balms
Naked 2 eyeshadows.
MUFE foundation in 130 – even though I don’t actually wear foundation, at least it gives me a clear idea of my skin tone.
Nars blush in Sin
Nars lip pencil in Dolce Vita
Dr. Brandt Skincare dark circles away
Benefit Bo-oing concealer
L’oreal Voluminous in Carbon Black. I love the regular and the million lashes version. So far, those two are the only mascaras that repeatedly buy. I always keep them on hand. I love to try other mascaras, but I always go back to these two.
Chantecaille Roses compact is wonderful highlighter for older skin. It doesn’t emphasize wrinkles or other imperfections and looks really natural. Gives a soft glow that’s classy.
Dr.Jart Black Label Detox BB cream, it morphs to your skin if you are in the NC/NW 15-35 I would say. Beats anything else I’ve tried, and I am a NC25.
Photo finish foundation primer by Smashbox. It really is oil-free, I LOVE it!
My two makeup HG products would have to be Anastasia Tinted brow gel and Maybelline The Falsies (original). The brow gel isn’t too red and lasts forever and the falsies is the best mascara I have found for my lashes.
For skin care it would have to be Embryolisse Lait-Creme Concentre. I have VERY sensitive skin which can’t decide whether it is normal-dry or normal-oily on a daily basis. This moisturizer is simply AMAZING! It doesn’t break me out and provides the perfect amount of moisture no matter what my skin is like on any given day. I am not someone who will buy the same thing more then once (makeup ADD?) and I have been through five of these. It is a bit difficult to get in the US, but you can easily find it on amazon. I absolutely love this moisturizer. I cannot say enough good things about it. I’ve tried to try other moisturizers and I will only try them for a few days before I’m back to my Embryolisse. It is also super cheap (~26) which is another amazing thing about this product. LOVE IT!
Just this week, I think I finally discovered my holy grail powder foundation which is the Sephora Collection Microsmooth Foundation Face Powder. Last year, I discovered MAC MSFN and fell in love. However, true to the nature of MAC face products, it caused breakouts within two days. Ever since I returned it, I’ve been on the hunt to find a suitable dupe in other brands and have come up empty until now. The new Sephora Microsmooth Foundation is awesome; it is actually everything I wanted MSFN to be and more. It has a beautiful natural, satin finish without shimmer and covers effortlessly. It wears for a decent amount of time, hasn’t caused breakouts, is lightweight, controls oil, and gives my skin the smoothest appearance I’ve ever achieved with powder. The color match is wonderful (I’m an NC50 and wear this in the shade Mahogany), and the price is also reasonable! This product can also be used wet or dry and looks great both ways. The more I use it, the more I like. If it can last the summer heat in the south, it may even replace my previous holy grail liquid foundation for good (MUFE F&B)! I am actually hoping it will, because I prefer the quickness of applying of powder foundation as opposed to liquid. *fingers crossed* 🙂
Milk of Magnesia! I’ve altered my skincare routine so many times over the years to stop my skin from greasing up in a few hours- cleansers, toners, moisturizers, primers, foundations, setting powders… the only thing that can soak up excess oil and keep me pretty 10+ hours is Milk of Magnesia. It comes in a huge bottle and it’s cheap.
Heal Tastic. Yup, that made for tele stuff! I’ll get a dry patch every once in a while and it makes that patch soft as a babies tuchas. Mum had really bad feet, lots of dry hard patches and lots of painful cracks. She said it soothed the cracks, healed them up and helped with getting rid of the patches. She was so happy because she kept tearing her hosiery.
Nail Life Speed Demon. A ‘quick dry’ nail polish I buy from Sally’s. It goes on just like a top coat but after some use it does thicken up and I have to think it out. I do my nails before bed and wait 30 minutes and off to *zzz* No bed sheet prints in the morning. I know, right??!!!
*** Meant Heel Tastic *der*
The latest HG I discovered was Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream and also the Lip Balm. Last winter I tried maybe 5 or 6 different lip balms with no success. I also went to the chemist and they recommend me one which didn’t work at all either. My forehead also suffers from eczema when it’s cold and I have tried several creams without any success either. However, this winter I read about EA 8 Hour cream and lip balm and I decided to give them a try. Holy God! This has been my best discover in years. My lips are smooth with no cracks at all and my forehead never looked better. My definitely HG product of 2012-
My skin is in a confused state…dry-very dry-slightly sheeny in some parts.
I didn’t believe any moisturizer would work until I found VMV’s smart moisturizer: http://www.vmvhypoallergenics.com/skin-care/moisturize/hydra-balance-smart-moisturizer-15-for-combination-skin.html
It really does what is says, moisturizes on the parts that need it and is never oily,is fast absorbing, and I think scent-free. Works well at night (live in a humid country so a light moisturizer is ok) and even under makeup. I will definitely repurchase this.
Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer. At $52 the full size (you can try smaller sizes for various prices or a sample from Sephora), it’s pricy, but you don’t need much. People stop me to give me compliments on how flawless my skin looks when I wear it. They ask about my skincare or my foundation (L’Oreal True Match N3, also highly recommended), but it’s all about the primer. You look and feel airbrushed.
Fresh Advanced Lip Therapy $25 is a go to for anyone like me who has chronic chapped lips, better than anything else I’ve tried. This one doesn’t have an SPF like their other Lip Treatments, but it’s more intense so I deal with the trade-off.
My HG product is Lioele BB Cream!! It matches my skin tone PERFECTLY (very fair)!! It makes my skin look very matte and poreless!! I wear it in place of foundation!! I can’t recommend it enough!!
