What was the last eyeshadow look you wore and loved?

Clionadh Keystone onner the inner tearduct (and lower lash line), Clionadh Tower on the lid, Lethal Cosmetics Kindlewood Eyesshadow in the crease, Lethal Cosmetics Remission Eyeshadow above the crease, and Clionadh Tracery on the brow bone.

I don’t really own eyeshadows that I don’t love, and if I buy one and dislike it, I pawn it off on someone else pretty quickly. So, I love all of them! I’ve recently rediscovered the Tarteist metallic singles though, and those are amazing and I feel bad for neglecting them for so long in the back of my stash. I am spoiled with a lot of amazing eyeshadow in my collection, so I cannot really complain.

I have a palette I made from my own choices with Bobbi Brown eyeshadow that I love and after 3 years have just hit pan. I have constantly also gone back to my Healthy Glow Natural Eyeshadow Palette – Light from Chanel.

As someone who does not wear warm toned eyeshadow well at all, I have a tendency to go back to my self made cool toned palette and the one by Chanel.

Three guesses – shadows from the NARS Suede Voyageur palette – Deep Chic in the crease, Stilt House on inner 2/3 of mobile lid, Condesa on outer lid. UD The Night King under my lower lashes (just because) and Sephora Cappuccino lining upper lash line. Becca Foxglove Luminous Blush and MAC Full Fuchsia on lips. I’m so loving that Nars palette.

Kaleidos Cosmetics Radioactive and Smog (from the Sci-Fi Green palette) in my crease, Menagerie Cosmetics Ink Jet on my outer corner and Octopi on my lower lash line (from their Violet Ink palette) and a Tammy Tanuka pigment all over my lid called The Mad Professor (which is the most stunning and odd pigment I’ve ever seen: lime green shimmer with large flakes of iridescent violet throughout, it’s STUNNING).

I have recently rediscovered the L’Oreal Infallible 24 Hour shadows. I have Amber Rush (a lovely, almost rose gold shade) and Bronzed Taupe (a cooler, silvery bronze). I have been loving using a simple matte transition shade, either cooler or warmer depending on which I am using, then tapping one of these on the inner half of my eyelid. I do use a shadow primer for maximum stickiness. Then I line the lower lash line with some fun colored liner. Lately I have been loving the MJ Olive You or the Sephora gel liner in Galaxy Girl or Waterfall.

It was a far softer look than I typically report loving! MAC Haux transition and smoked out on lower lashline, a little bit of Handwritten to define an deepen crease and lower lashline, Vex all over mobile lid and tearducts, Nyx Root Beer on outer lid, Sephora Contour Pencil in Go For A Ride on lower lashline. This was the look I wore to the Vet on Sunday.

I love this type of question, but can’t picture the shadows by name alone – I’d have to be looking up most of them, which feels a bit over the top for me. I’m sure this is true for a lot of us, as there are just too many eyeshadows in the world for most of us to memorize. Christine, what would you think about asking people to describe the color rather than just reference the shade name? That way we could imagine the final look.
Thanks for considering it!

It was yesterday actually – I used Louder from the Playlist (a burnished gold) on the lid, with the bronze shade from Pixi Beauty Reflex light (auburn blaze) on the lower lid and a pop of teal blue from Guerlain’s Les Aquas in the centre of the lower lid. Very happy with the effect.

I put have a MAC quad of Vex, Shroom, Coquette & Omega. I wear Shroom all over from lashline to eyebrow. Put omega as a transition/crease. I deepen the crease and outer V with Coquette. Put Vex on the eyelid. Finish look with Lancome Monseiur Big on the lashes!

A sunset look using Viseart Petit Pro Soleil and Chou Chou Palettes: Popsicle on the inner 1/2 of the top lid, wrapping around the inner corner, and into the inner 1/2 of the lower lid. Lavender on the outer 1/2 of the top lid, outer edge of the crease/wing, and outer 1/2 of the lower lid. Bon Bon in the center of the top and bottom lids. Melon in the crease, blended out with Pastis. ABH Lyra from the Aurora Glow Kit on the inner corner over Popsicle. A magenta Maybelline eyeliner in the waterline, and UD Perversion mascara.

6. “Dimension” on lid between “Sphere” and “Lituation” toward inner corner
7. “Parallel” on outer V blended into “Credit”
8. “Unity” as brown higher blended over “Credit”
From the Jackie Aina palette:
2. “Credit” on outer V and upper crease
