What type of formula do you prefer for a fragrance? (Parfum, Toilette, etc.)

Eau de Parfum for me! I find it gives me the level of intensity and longevity I prefer. Like if I put on perfume, I want to put on perfume.

I have a poor sense of smell which is a blessing in my line of work and one of my hobbies (dog showing). So the stronger the better. Parfum only for me.

I wear weak scents at work or a tiny squirt. I didn’t wear scents for 35 years at work when I did bedside nursing. Now I wear very subtle.

Very sorry what the pandemic has done to the dog show circuit. I hope the shows can return in full force, but am afraid that pandemic has really uprooted the sport. My mum took me to Ladies (Massachusetts) @1955. Regionals ever since. And I very much enjoyed working with and minor exhibition of Border Terriers in the 90s. The sport has some grand people/ personages, but some more closely resemble Best in Show, lol. 🤪

Do you show your own dogs or do you work as a handler?
I have only showed a dog once, might be twice, I was in my early teens and I didn’t have a clue, I just followed the person in front of me. It was the breeders of the dog that wanted her and her siblings shown. She didn’t do well, but it hardly mattered as she was a great dog. She was a German Shepherd.
The dog I have now grew, and grew and the he grew some more so he turned out fat too big. The late miniature schnauzer had one of his testicles go back up, so he wasn’t a candidate either.
Here the dog shows have started again and I enjoy seeing photos from the beautiful standard schnauzer and miniature schnauzers from the breeders I know or know from social media.
Sorry this turned out so long!

It’s eau de parfum for me as well. If I want to wear perfume, I wear perfume and I want to be able to smell it and I want to be able to last without re-application for the day.

I’m not th kind of person who wears fragrance at the gym, at a picnic, around the house, during sleep, on a hike, etc. For me lightweight concentrations like way the toilette or body sprays don’t make sense.

Ideally, I like cologne. It works best for me. Was a time (yep, I’m old) many fragrances came in a splash and those were nice because you could be a little more free with the product and since I’ve always been inclined to heavier vanilla scents it was a little more diluted. I do miss the soaps that came out back in the day. I have some Guerlain soaps that I cherish, Fleur de Alps. Jicky. Shalimar. I loved getting a box of soaps as gifts. And dusting powder. Ahhh the old days 🤍

I feel like formula preference kinda varies by each scent. Some have good longevity even as eaux de toilette, whereas others seem to fade relatively quickly even as parfums. But generally, I find that EDP offers a nice balance of decent longevity with not too much sillage (I get very self-conscious about smelling “too much”!)
