This is a tough one because it changes all the time. Reading Genevieve’s comments about using the Naked2 palette got me thinking how much I love that so my “latest” list is:
MAC Sweet Sentiment Mineralize Blush
MAC Grand Entrance eyeshadow (I think it was from Starflash)
either UD Naked (original) or Naked 2

Honourable mention must go to Chanel Empreinte du Desert (that was Limited Edition – does that count or not?) which should have been made permanent!

I think Mariella that the ND Glam palette would be a suitable substitute for Naked 2 – an expanded range of soft greys and pewter shades. By next week I will be using mine like crazy and I will let you know. If it works for me, it would probably work for you too – seeing as we both have the same ‘tastes’ in eyeshadows.

I looked on the UD site last night (the Canadian one) and it’s still showing Naked2, which I was certain had been discontinued. I considered getting the ND Glam palette during the VIB sale and realized that I have so, so much eye shadow that I really couldn’t justify buying it but who knows how long that “realization” will hold me back? (what I spent on the 2 recent Dior 5-pans would easily have paid for it, with change to spare, though I don’t regret those 2 purchases in the least).

These are very much oldies, but goodies…
Prescriptives – their entire foundation line including Unmakeup & Traceless.
Chantecaille Real Skin compact foundation
Vincent Longo Water Canvas.

Going old school to one of the first makeup products that got me excited as a teen-Club Monaco Eye Grease! Also, Mac Funbathing lipstick and super inexpensive Rommel Santa Rose blush.

Yes!! Those were a wonderful formula. I still have one shade left (#5) It was a very bright pink but sheered out to a beautiful flush of color. I don’t use it anymore because it’s so old however the formula is still good, it has not dried out at all!

Lancôme Imanance Tinted Cream (have used as my “foundation” for years), Stila Aqua Glow Watercolor Blush and Kiehl’s Heat Protective Silk Straightening Cream. I stockpiled the Imanance and Aqua Glow but am worried about them going bad before I use them up. Wish I had known that the Silk Straightening Cream was being discontinued. I am on my last tube and haven’t found anything that works as well in my hair.

Linds, for the heat protector try Bumble & Bumble Save the Day. It’s a little pricey at $45, and I never tried the Kiehl’s one but it sounds alot like the B&B one. It’s very lightweight and my hair absolutely feels like silk. I just love it so much!

Chanel Dragon *sigh* best red ever
MAC Viva Glam V lipstick and gloss
Tie between MAC Viva Glam Cyndi and MAC Strawberry Blonde lipsticks

I’m so sad I didn’t get a backup in time of the Marc Jacobs Kink & Kisses air blush. I’ve almost used mine up and while I have tons of others, that blush just became a standby in my routine.

The original circa 1990s, Chanel Teint Pur Mat, matte foundation in Alabaster .5, round glass bottle; 2000’s Lancome Teint Idole Fresh Wear 18hr, porcelain, in the squeeze tube, and La Prairie brow pencil in Taupe, not Automatique, but the original with the actual pencil, sharpener, and spoolie on the end. Perfect eyebrow pencil!

Catrice Nude Illusion foundation- the most beautiful & comfortable (nondrying) matt foundation with a very skin lie finish. Was really inexpensive too!)
Elizabeth Arden Smoky Eyes Pencil – not the newly formulated waxy twist-up pencil! The old wooden pencil was very smooth & easy to apply with lots of rich color payoff that was smudgeable for about 20 seconds then would last all day.
Estee Lauder Lippty in Sugar Honey – love EL’s lippy formula and this shade was the perfect pearly rose gold shade of warm nude caramel. Went with darned near everything!

L’Oreal Shine Delice lipstick, specifically shade Coffee Blast.
Guerlain Divinora 480 lipstick
Basically the entire launch line from Urban Decay in the 90s.

I’d have to say Guerlain Météorites Baby Glow Foundation is the discontinued item I miss the most. It lived up to the name because it made my skin glow! The others include Milani’s Everyday Eyes Eyeshadow Palette which is being phased out. (so I guess technically still around). The Earthy Elements version is stunning for such an affordable palette. Plus, I have to agree with Prescriptives, just an overall good cosmetics line.

I still pine for these products. I have never found any passable substitute’s for them so if you have any ideas, don’t hold back:
Giorgio Armani sheer blush no 2
Guerlain terracotta kohl loose powder in black
Erno Laszlo shake-it in neutral

I miss soooooooo much my beloved Chanel pro lumiere foundation and Estee Lauder model mercury highlighter(I am not sure if was discontinued but I can not find it anymore where I live).
