What skincare products do you use that feel most luxurious ?
Drunk Elephant’s TLC Sukari Babyfacial mask really has that “it’s working” sensation/feel. Tatcha Indigo Soothing Triple Recovery Cream has a really luxe texture. Mahalo’s Rare Indigo Beauty Balm feels totally decadent as it’s intensely hydrating and smooth.
I love Estee Lauder’s advanced night repair serum. It doesn’t even feel that luxe when using it (average serum texture, the bottle is plastic rather than glass), but it makes my skin feel so nice when I use it consistently, so it feels luxurious in that way.
I think it would be the Shiseido Ibuki (I think) sleeping mask and Tatcha spray (can’t recall the name and I’m feeling too lazy to look it up). Also my “old school” Erno Laszlo products, particularly the pHelityl oil and cream.
Kiehl’s Avocado Eye Treatment and Kiehl’s Creme de Corps lotion are my everyday luxurious skin products. I am a long-time Clinique user to wash and moisturize my face, but I don’t consider that to be luxurious.
I recently tried a one-use sample of Guerlain Abeille Royale Youth Watery Oil and it made my face feel incredibly smooth and moisturized. Although I’d love to use this product on a regular basis, I just can’t bring myself to spend that much money.
African Botanics intense recovery oil has replaced La Mer. Not artificial like La Mer.
People says my skin looks so good. Not other products from African Botanics…just that one.
Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate is so nice! I notice a difference when I don’t use it for a few days.
SK-II Cellumination Mask-in Lotion is nourishing and kind to my skin.
There have been a few standout products:
1.) Josie Maran Light Argan Oil deluxe sample that I was using under primer and foundation made my skin appear smoother and more healthy
2.) Drunk Elephant Lala Cream *felt* very rich and Lux going on (did it actually improve my skin? Idk! But it sure felt nice?)
3.) Hourglass Mineral Veil Primer feels like its price tag and it works, too!
4.) And now that our climate has gone less dry, my tub of Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask is working again. It always has felt lux going on my lips, but wasn’t working once our dry heat began to hit us.
5.) Hada Labo Skin Plumping Gel Cream is on the high end of DS, and feels much more expensive than that. I’ve been using it nightly for years. I love using it over my face oil at bedtime because it actually WORKS. Unfortunately, I now have to buy it off of Amazon instead of at Ulta.
Anything by May Lindstrom: two personal favs are The Blue Cocoon and Youth Dew
I’ve been DYING to try May Lindstrom products particularly Blue Cocoon. One day soon. ?
I don’t tend to purchase expensive skincare products as a rule, but Dr. Lewinn’s Anti aging products are pretty good.
I love the way SK-ll toner, essence and moisturizer make my skin look and feel. It is very pricy though so I may not repurchase.
I wash with la Roche Posay with great results and not too much money. I feel the same about Smith’s Rose balm for lips and use it nightly.
I subscribe to several months boxes so try many various moisturizers. I need them to be significantly moisturizing and must contain DOG for daytime.
Hi Christine, I agree with you about DE’s Sukari Babyfacial can definitely feel it working and my skin is noticeably smoother after. I’ve been using a deluxe sample and it’s really lasted but it’s finally coming to an end. Paying for the full size is gonna hurt a little, lol.
Another product that seems luxurious to me is MorrocanOil body butter. It’s scented more heavily than I prefer but I can live with it since I usually apply it at bedtime.
I have a couple of products that either feel very luxe or make me feel very good using them. I agree with Christine in the DE Sukari Baby Facial. I can feel it working and my skin is smooth as silk after using it. I also feel like Tatcha Rice Enzyme Powder gives me that super smooth feeling skin. I love the scent of it and considering the price it should make me feel nice. I have used both Laneige Lip Mask and Nuxe Reve de Mele lip balm and I really prefer the Nuxe. I also love their cleansing balm.
1. Paula’s Choice’s AHA and BHA body lotions (both). They moisturize enough to notice, and (most importantly) both leave my skin feeling silky.
2. Biologique Recherche’s P50W — works great as an exfoliant without undue irritation and leaves my skin soft without added moisturizer.
3. Drunk Elephant Polypeptide cream — just feels good.
4. The coconut water (Harmless Harvest) that I use as a toner and as a replacement for water to clean my face after the oil I use to break up my makeup. Smells amazing, and leaves my face soft instead of tight (the way water does).
My current most luxurious skin care items are Chantecaille Rose de mai face oil & pure rose water, Tatcha’s vitamic C radiance mask and dior lip balm.
Tatcha rice enzyme powder stuff (just don’t inhale it), anything Caudalie
Tatcha’s enzyme powder wash, Fresh’s lip balms, Sunday Riley Tidal/Luna/Good Genes, and Whamisa Organic Flowers Deep Rich Toner.
I started using Perricone MD products when I turned 30. They made a visible difference after years of almost-useless Shiseido products. I don’t LOVE all of the ingredients in Perricone products and I’ve been switching to safer natural skincare but some do feel luxurious and fix skin issues when no combination of primers, foundations, concealers and mists can.
Neuropeptide Eye Treatment: I usually use it for special occasions since it’s pricey for me. Works quickly when I haven’t slept.
Neuropeptide cleanser or the Nutritive Cleanser
Neuropeptide Face Activator fixes a bad skin day quickly.
High Potency Amine Face Lift (unusual name): A little hydrating but more for the texture of skin. Makes pores disappear, plumps, evens everything out like a super primer.
Cold Plasma Body!
Spa Ritual Infinity Loving Body Butter (Chinese Jasmine) feels great for many hours.
