My shower seems absolutely empty in comparison! LOL

I have Bumble & Bumble in Color-Minded shampoo and Super Rich Conditioner, some Angel Delight soap from Lush and First Aid’s facial cleanser. 🙂

blueraccoon Avatar

Not as much as there used to be but we just moved and I cut down, so: Korres Basil Lemon shower gel, Vivite Exfoliating facial cleanser, SkinCeuticals LHA cleanser, ExfoliKate (regular), Yes to Carrots Scalp Relief conditioner, Vidal Sassoon VS Pro Smooth conditioner, prescription shampoo. I use one shower and the husband uses the other so it’s all my stuff 🙂

Christine, are you liking the WEN? I keep thinking about trying it but it’s expensive and I don’t want to buy a bottle and then determine I hate it/it doesn’t work for my hair.

KaseyCannuck Avatar

I tried the almond scent as a treat to myself about a year ago. It weighed my hair down something fierce, no doubt because my hair is so long. I figured I could get the same results by washing my hair with any conditioner and eliminating shampoo completely, which is pretty much what WEN is. I would end up using it as conditioner after shampoo just to get a clean feeling on my scalp. I didn’t even use the amount they specify…one bottle would only last for 2 uses with the amount of hair that I have!!

Stacey Avatar

Seriously, If you use it ‘right’ you WILL love it. Wash rinse repeat. The more you use the better and cleaner you get. For your hair length Id use 20 pumps of the 16z bottle. If you are having trouble getting it to spread around add a little bit of water to your hands as you wash. Rinse until you think its rinsed enough, then rinse a little more. WEN is my miracle hair product. I get compliments on my hair everytime I leave the house now because if it. I wash, rinse then wash again but I let in sit in my hair as I finish the rest of my shower, then I rinse my hair last thing before the shower is over. Follow these tips and I promise it will work for you.

Christine Avatar

Hi Stacey,

I do all of those things, but thank you for the tips 🙂 Not every product will work the same for everyone – I know lots of people love WEN but also know those who haven’t had good luck with it. I use 20-30 pumps, at least, because my hair is both thick and long, run it through my hair with my fingers and a wide-tooth comb, let it sit for 3-5 minutes, then rinse twice, then do one more rinse at the end of my shower. I actually have very little trouble with shampoos, but this is one of the few that has seemingly made my hair worse. It might not just be the right variety of WEN, but it’s the one I was sent to try. I’m so happy it works for you 🙂

I have the regular (orange writing) and the acne (blue writing) and I absolutely love them. I prefer the regular to the acne; I think it’s more exfoliating. It’s expensive but you don’t need that much and you don’t use it that often–I use it maybe twice a week? It gets rid of all my flaky bits and excess oil and leaves my skin so soft and smooth. I used to follow up with her oil free moisturizer, which I really like, but since we moved I can’t find it so I’ve been using pure jojoba oil instead–which I think I like better, go figure. The small tube of ExfoliKate isn’t that expensive and it lasts long enough that you’ll decide whether it’s worth it to buy the big tube, so I’d recommend starting there.

Bumble & Bumble shampoo (along with a shampoo/conditioner sample from sephora), apricot scrub, dr Bronners (almond), and that macadamia nut brand leave-in conditioner. my bf just uses a 2-1 shampoo/conditioner by some major shampoo brand (pantene or H&S, it switches off)

i lead a simple life

Fun question! I got a new shampoo today, because I was curious and bored. It has henna in it, and it’s supposed to bring out auburn tones in brown hair. I used it on a lock of my hair this evening, but I don’t think it did anything.

Kiss my face whenever shampoo (boyfriend)
Head and Shoulders 2-in-1 (mine)
ShiKai Color Reflect shampoo, warm (mine.)

Tresemme curl hydration (boyfriend)

Hmm…
Hair: Garnier Fructis Hydra Recharge Shampoo, Conditioner, and Moisture Treatment (I received them all from BzzAgent), Nature’s Gate Organics Shampoo (Orange + Patchouli), Organix Awapuhi Ginger Dry Styling Oil and Yes to Carrots Leave-in Conditioner. I cut off at least a foot of hair last week, so I really don’t need any of it much at the moment. But all of them worked lovely on curly dry ends…of course, not simultaneously. 😉 I usually only have a shampoo and a conditioner, but I lost my mind and let my hair grow out for two years.

Body: Alba Botanica Hawaiian Face Cleanser (the coconut one), a bar of Villainess Soap, Queen Helaene Mint Julep Face Mask, a trial bottle of bodywash to use up, Alba Botanica Shaving Cream in Coconut Lime (love this stuff!), and BPAL bath oil from the Tomoe Gozen set. I usually have a Villainess Sugar Scrub, but I haven’t bothered to put one in since I used the last one.

Cerise Avatar

Shower: Alterna Caviar Moisture Shampoo and Conditioner, Shea Moisture Argan Oil and Raw Shea Body Wash, Chanel Mousse Confort Facial Cleanser

Bath: BathRoman Collagen Bath Salts, L’Occitane Shower Oil, Jasmine Green Tea bags

Mopsy Avatar

Dove soap, Neutrogena Body Clear body wash (stashed from the internet after being discontinued in the UK), Tresemme shampoo and conditioner. Clinique 7 day scrub, some L’Occtaine shower gel and an exfoliating brush.

I like to have a super speedy and streamlined shower routine- maximises time spent in bed.

Fliss Avatar

That sounds like me 🙂 Liz Earle Shampoo, Liz Earle Conditioner for Fine Hair, Soap and Glory shower gel. I cleanse my face using Liz Earle hot cloth polish, so that’s not in the shower as such.

I HATE multiple bottles in bathrooms! My mum drives me potty as she always has about 8 bottles of shampoo on the go!

Amanda Avatar

Purity by Philosophy, a Body Shop Lemon Body Scrub, Lush Snow Fairy shower gel, Origins Modern Friction exfoliator, MoroccanOil shampoo and hair mask, my Clarisonic.

CeeBee Avatar

Head & Shoulders Dry Scalp Care shampoo and conditioner, because my scalp is super sensitive right now
Jack Black face cleanser
Comvita Olive Bright facial exfoliator
Dove beauty bar
A stainless steel foot file
Some hotel/sample size Les Floralies Cucumber & Mint shampoo and conditioner (shamelessly appropriated from hotels while on honeymoon, only to have the hubs pinch them from me)

Yellowlantern Avatar

Ah yes, my inner nosy neighbor loves knowing what products other people have.

I have:
1. Loreal Evercreme Shampoo
2. Joico Balancing Shampoo
3. Joico Moisture Recovery Conditioner (p. much my HG conditioner)
4. Aussie 3 Minute Miracle
5. Olay Fresh Moisture body wash in Nectarine
6. Olay Fresh Effects Shine Shine Go Away cleanser
7. Queen Helene Mint Julep scrub
8. St. Ives Apricot Scrub

Yeah it’s a lot…I alternate between those products depending on season and how dry or balanced my hair feels.

Ellen Avatar

Interesting question!

Shampoo: Nature’s Gate Tea Tree shampoo (my fave), L’Oreal Ever Pure shampoo, Suave Daily Clarifying shampoo
Conditioner: L’Oreal Ever Strong Conditioner, Trader Joe’s Nourishing conditioner, L’Oreal Cleansing Conditioner
Mask: Aussie 3-Minute Miracle
Body wash: Aveeno Daily Moisturizing body wash, Dove soap (for my husband)
Face wash: REN Ultra Moisturizing Cleansing Milk, REN Jojoba Microbead exfoliating cleanser, Dior DiorSnow cream cleanser, Neutrogena Naturals Purifying Cleanser (for my husband)
And my Clarisonic.

Phew! I have a bit of ADD when it comes to bath products, but I’m trying to use up the one I don’t use often 🙂

I have a ton of stuff in my shower and most of it is from Lush. Lush Angels on Bare skin and Dark Angels cleansers. Lush Trichomania solid shampoo and Jungle solid conditioner. Lush soap in Ice Blue (charlies) and Sexy Peel and Avowash. A random Hair Mask and a Lush Dragons Egg bath bomb. Oh and charlies 2 in 1 Head & Shoulders.

Sierra Avatar

My Joico shampoo and conditioner for damage repair, samples of Bumble and Bumble thickening shampoo and conditioner, my B&BW Sweet on Paris shower gel, a sample of Bare Minerals Purifying Facial Cleanser, and a sample of Peter Thomas Roth exfoliating beads.

Julia B Avatar

Lush: seanik shampoo, happy happy joy joy conditioner, grass body wash, ro’s argan, rub rub rub

Philosophy coconut body wash

Dove sensitive skin bar soap — this is what one of my dermatologists recommended and I’ve found it is a good morning face wash.

A while back I tried switching back to Pantene shampoo and conditioner and it was not pretty. My face started to break out and got worse and worse until I figured out that it was a reaction and not just a resurgence of the horrible skin I had in high school. Once I switched back to Lush, my skin cleared up and life was good. It was so weird to think that shampoo was causing my breakouts.

There isn’t too much. My husband uses a Redken for Men shampoo, and Philosophy Microdelivery Exfoliating Wash. I have my Redken for color treated hair shampoo, Pantene Extra Shine conditioner, Purpose Face Wash, Murad AHA/BHA Exfoliating Cleanser, Murad Acne Body Wash. OK, so written down it sounds like a lot. We also use soap for the body, and most of my facial cleansers are kept by the sink, not the shower, so I have a lot more not written here.

courtney Avatar

Do you like the Wen Cleansing Conditioner?! I know it will differ between everyone’s hair type but I have always been so curious about that brand!

Christine Avatar

The one I have is the Lavender, and I don’t like it. This is my second attempt at trying to like it/use it, but I just feel my hair gets really greasy/oily by the end of the DAY. I don’t know if it’s just wrong for my hair type or not, but I want to like it but it just doesn’t seem to work right for me.

This Nikki is a NC30 Avatar

I have a thick curly hair cut in a layered bob. WEN worked great for me for awhile, but it started leaving my hair gunky. I switched to a cone-free conditioner-only method (aka The Curly Girl method) of hair care, and its great. I love how my hair feels, I like how it looks, and strangers compliment me. That never used to happen, so I think it was a good switch for me.

Geneva Avatar

I have Sabon’s Lavender Apple shower oil, B&BW Twilight Woods, Sensual Amber & Warm Vanilla Sugar shower gel, Shea Moisture Lavender & Wild Orchid Shea butter soap, Carols daughter black vanilla moisturizing shampoo & conditioner and last but not least ZEST soap when I want to be squeaky clean.

His stuff: dove for men body wash, head and shoulder, bar of soap. He’s simple, but I know he uses my stuff.

Lately, I have been an OTC shower gel lady. Right now, I am feeling Soft Soap Island Coconut and Carress Brown Sugar. It doesn’t make sense to spend over $5 for any shower gel. Oh, and Mary Kay Deep Cleanser #3-great for removing make-up; Proactiv step #1 cleanser and deep cleanser.

Not a ton, to be honest. Besides my roommate’s stuff (and he’s a guy so he barely has anything and what he does have is not interesting), I have I love Juicy shampoo and Veganese conditioner, both from Lush, which I love so much that I went ahead and bought the massive bottles even though I have really short hair which I only wash once or twice a week. I also have a bar of sea vegetable soap from Lush, and glycolic acid cleanser from Mario Badescu. I keep my normal cleanser, which is Mario Badescu’s enzyme gel cleanser, at the sink since I use it to wash my makeup off every night. I am suuuper low-maintenance in the shower; I don’t even have a razor in there since I use an epilator.

Nicoco Chanel Avatar

Organix Keratin Straight Shampoo & Conditioner ; Soap & Glory Peaches & Clean Cleanser ; Vichy Normaderm Exfoliator ; Wilko Vanilla & Honey Shower Smoothie (nearly finished, sobbbb it smells so good). And a razor. And the bf’s stuff but that isn’t interesting haha.

I use DevaCurl No-Poo and DevaCurl One Condition when I wash my hair, but I use The Body Shop’s Banana Shampoo to clarify. I use the Macademia Deep Conditioning Mask and Wen cleansing conditioner once in a while. I wash my body with The Body Shop’s Earth Lovers Fig and Rosemary Shower Gel.

xamyx Avatar

I have a *really* small bathroom, so nothing really stays in there (I keep everything in the huge linen cabinet, next to the bathroom). I also switch brands quite often, so basically the only things are shampoo & conditioner, body wash, and a facial cleanser. I use an epilator/electric razor, so there’s no need to keep a razor or shaving cream in there, although I do occasionally use them.

The only one of those tht stays consistent is the face wash, which was Desert Essence Thoroughly Clean Facial Wash, but Trader Joe’s stopped carrying it, and introduced their own version, which I don’t like quite as much.

It varies from day to day but most of the time, Biolage shampoo, Aveda Calming Body Wash, Prada Infusion d’Iris shower gel, a Buf Puf, Clarins Body Scrub (the one with bamboo powder) and for when I step out of the shower, The Bodyshop Shea Body Butter and Prada Infusion d’Iris body lotion (I think I actually prefer it to the fragrance spray – it truly lasts all day). Near at hand, I’ve got 2 Soap and Glory body scrubs as well as their Clean on Me body wash. And I keep a tube of La Roche Posay Lipikar body cream for when my skin (especially my legs) is really dry. I’ve also got a foot file and several foot creams (Gehwol, O’Keefe’s, Clarins and L’Occitane) for when I get out of the shower.

Lisa J Avatar

I try to keep my stash paired down because I can’t stand the clutter!

I HAVE to have my Body Shop banana shampoo (for my oily hair) and Redken all soft conditioner. I have Dove body wash, Clarins facial cleanser and Clarisonic, Mario Badescu calma mask (great for breakouts just starting) shea butter body scrub from the Body Shop, my intuition razor and my Macadamia deep conditioner. I also have a clarifying shampoo that I use on occasion with the deep conditioner. Right now it’s the Origins orange or grapefruit one (I forget which), but this changes often.

The other items don’t change much since most are holy grails for me. On second thought, this does seem like a lot, but all of it fits in the caddy hanging on my shower head, so….I think I’m still good. 😛
