Color Club Kismet Nail Lacquer Review, Photos, Swatches
Color Club Kismet Nail Lacquer
Color Club Kismet Nail Lacquer ($10.00 for 0.50 fl. oz.) is a warm, pale, chartreuse green with holographic shimmer. The only shade that I thought might be similar was Milani Hi-Tech, which is also a green polish with holographic shimmer, but it is sheerer, has larger green and holographic shimmer, and is darker, overall.
Kismet was opaque after two coats of polish, and the consistency wasn’t too thick or too thin. It spread and flowed evenly across the nail without streaking, bubbling, or pooling along the edges of the nail. It also didn’t emphasize ridges or the nail’s surface, like some holographic polishes can. The drying time was slightly faster than the average polish. The holographic effect of this polish is so strong and entrancing–there’s no worry that you won’t see it. I saw flashes of rainbow glimmer even in low light. I usually get a week of wear out of Color Club’s formula with minor tip wear but no chipping.

WOW – amazing. I was never one for holographic polish, but I’ve been loving these swatches from Color Club!
AMAZING!
I love a gorgeous holo!
What kind of base coat did you use?
I don’t use any base or top coat for swatches 🙂
This shade’s amazing, just wow! I can’t stop staring at your nails, Christine. 😀
WOW! That looks amazing and now I’m reconsidering my indifference to holographic polish. It looks like a fun summer polish.
WOW! This nail polish is AMAZING!
OMG. Lovely. A-England’s Princess Sabra is very close, but a little darker and more coppery, I think.
I’m typically not a big fan of holos, but this looks really terrific on you!
Gorgeous! Picture No. 7 really took my breath away. Since it has so much glitter, was it difficult to remove? I’ve been intimidated by glittery nail polishes, after one bad experience when a nail polish HAD to be gone (my hands would be seen up-close on camera the next day and bright green glittery polish would look ridiculous for that particular shoot). I spent so much time, soaking my nails, trying everything and the color WOULD.NOT.COME.OFF. Took me ages to get rid of it! Did you have any difficulty removing this one, Christine?
Hi Julia,
Not with this one since it’s more of a shimmer than it is a glitter!
This actually looks like the backs of those holographic stickers (which is what I imagined holographic is supposed to look like)
So lovely!! I love the nail swatches!!! Can you do more!!!
Where can i buy this brand? Does it sell in Canada?
Try checking their site for locations!
Oh wow, the effect is pretty impressive indeed!
I’ve been looking for a nice gold holo polish for a long LONG time, so naturally I ordered this one immediately!
Yay, can’t wait for it to arrive!
pretty!!
I love this. It reminds me of fishscales.
Color Club do great holographics! They don’t have that thick goopy formula that a lot of other brands have.
I ordered through the link to support Temptalia. Awesome! thanks 🙂
Thank you, Maggie <3
Color Club nailed holos. The price point is comparatively great, the formulas the best I’ve tried, and every one I’ve seen or seen reviewed had very strong holo.
amazing color!!
Holy holographic goodness! This one will be mine.
