MAC Mineralize Charged Water with Strobe Cream or Tom Ford Skin Illuminating Primer and – am on a skin/skin prep kick lately.

It’s less a specific product than a type of product: I’ve been really loving bold lipstick colors. Bite Kale, Sugarpill U4EA, Melt Blitzed, UD Firebird, they’ve all been my jam recently!

EYESHADOW!!! I already have enough for several lifetimes, and at 58 y.o., I do have serious doubts that I’ll get to even use up half of these before I kick. And yet, I just bought more on 2 separate trips to MAC. Tropic Cools x’s 9 (beautiful, but those suckers sure do fade a lot by days end!) , and then on Friday: Sweet Heat Extra Dimension, plus a pro pan of Twinks because they look perfect together! ?

Oh, I LOVE Twinks! (and I love the name; if we ever get another dog, I will name her Twinks!) And I love that the pro pans are now so inexpensive (and “inexpensiver” when MAC had that 25% off thing). It’s cheaper than buying drugstore now, to buy a MAC pro pan.

Yep, on sale, just $4.50! And sooo worth it, too. I’ve used it both yesterday and today in the same exact eye look both days, and I’m in love with it and Sweet Heat used together. Why didn’t I buy these sooner?!? Btw, I love that name for a dog! Or a cat!

I don’t have Sweet Heat and hadn’t really thought of getting it until fairly recently but now, reading how much you are loving it, I’m kicking myself for not getting it before the 25% off deal expired (today!). I hope they have another one and that might be a 4X yearly offer (I know they had one fairly recently, when they first started their new “membership” thing)

LOL– I almost said the same thing, because over the last two weeks I’ve bought 8 eyeshadows for build-your-own-palettes (4 Anastasia, 4 Colourpop); I’m one year younger than you and just last night was wondering what am I thinking, I have more than I’ll ever, ever need ever.

Oh Lordy,Lordy me. We are in the same boat. So I placed an order with Sephora, Viseart palette , 6 eye pencils, Dior Eye Reviver Palette and some highlighter, and 3 lipsticks by Tom Ford. I was getting nervous because my order was delayed, NYC snow storm (of course). So my husband said ” why are you worried about your package, your not going any where”lol. Crazy right.? Then on Sunday back to mall and guess what??? More eye shadow. Mac of course. I have enough of this stuff to out last my life time. Addiction? Yes I think so.

I’m in the same age bracket and yes, I have more makeup than I will ever use!! I do believe it’s an addiction. Plus it’s just so fun to go through your collection and just look at everything that you have I enjoyed that so much as well. I would have to say it’s almost like my hobby, just like other people have hobbies that they enjoy doing — makeup is my hobby and that will never stop no matter how old I get. ?

Too Faced’s Sweet Peach palette! The colors are so gorgeous and blendable. I really love the greens they have; it’s hard to find good greens.

I am thoroughly obsessed with NYX HD Banana Powder in the pressed version. I’m pretty pale, and it’s hard to find a yellow-toned undereye powder. It still doesn’t beat KVD Lyric powder, but it’s pretty damn great.

Milani Perfect & Conceal 2-in-1 Foundation. its the only foundation I’ve tried which doesn’t highlight my dry skin or exaggerate my fine lines.

Tiny Moly Ceramide sheet mask! I have been using a new acne medication, and my skin has been parched and flaky and red. This sheet mask makes my skin feel soft and smooth and NORMAL again.

Becca Filter Primers (the Backlighting one and the new violet coloured once, for which I have a sample). I don’t even bother putting foundation over them….but they make my skin look so nice.

Those EL Hi-Lustre lipsticks, especially the nudes, look so tempting!

I have been loving the combo of BareMinerals Vibe lipliner with MAC Vamplify lipgloss in Tuned In. I have worn it for a week straight, which is unusual for me!

NYX butter lipstick in Hot Tamale, LGeller baked blush in Pink Grapefruit, MAC Mineralize liquid Foundation, MAC F&B foundation, Ole Henriksen Truth Serum and this brand generally, Revlon Posh Pink nail polish, and fragrances with prominent raspberry.

Fresh soy face cleanser. It is my morning jam! The smell is light and cucumbery. The formula is gel like and does not strip my skin. I’m addicted.

Edward Bess “Filled With Desire” blush. It’s the perfect pinky peach blush that gives a beautiful natural glow without sparkle or shine. Wonderful for ladies of a certain age or anyone with sun damaged skin that doesn’t reflect light like young skin. Super flattering.

The only products I ever feel like I can’t get enough of are fragrances. When I love a fragrance, I can’t wait to apply and reapply it. There’s just something insatiable about a HG fragrance. . .

Highliters I got plenty to illuminate the moon and sun! Can’t get enough tryingcall shades. Loving the Physians Formula strips lately so pretty! Love the softest satin sheen to it!

The Ordinary High Spreadability Fluid Primer. I apply it all over my face as the last skincare step, every where, eyelids included, only avoiding my brows. It makes ANY makeup I wear look ten times better, and makes it last ALL DAY. I just ordered 3 more bottles. It’s everything I always wanted primer to be. I love it!

Mac lip intensity driftwood a purpley nude then bite beauty prismatic champagne gloss then Lorac Foodie gloss!

Bioderma Pore Refiner lotion. I don’t know what’s in it – I don’t care. It’s magic! Makes my skin look nearly poreless under my Shiseido Synchro Skin foundation.

I have two: Lancôme teint idole foundation and the Bobbi Brown holiday shimmer brick palette. I usually wear bb cream or powder foundation, but recently tried the Lancôme foundation and I LOVE it.

The Dior 2017 Spring Colour Gradation collection. I started playing around with it last week and I have been enjoying it and still loving Victoria Beckham’s Modern Mercury highlighter.

Technically it’s two products. I’ve started mixing my Laura Mercier radiance primer with my clinique moisturizer and it’s the perfect primer and gives me that dewy glow without looking oily! #YASSSS

I am the highlighter queen! Having all sorts of fun with inexpensive (but astonishingly great quality) highlighters from bargain brands Catrice & Essence.
I am looking at those new magnetic ‘no glue’ false eyelashes longingly too!

Thierry Mugler Alien perfume. I use a lot of it. And no matter where I am there is always someone who asks me what beautiful perfume I am wearing.

Tom Ford blushes in the original formula. I did a major investment upon learning they were being discontinued and the reformulated versions didn’t have the unique glow that Tom Ford blushes special.

Laura Mercier Gold Metallic Crème Eye with a specific eye look that was posted long ago from pondering-beauty.blog in her review: Laura Mercier Metallic Crème Eye Colour Swatches (all permanent colors). She had shared a trick she learned from a makeup artist and the result is absolutely beautiful.

Hmmm. I only own two liquid lipsticks at the moment (MAC Lady Be Good and Cailyn #62) and, if it was appropriate, I would just interchange these two everyday and not bother about other lipsticks. I really love them! The thing is, they are drying and I cannot make an impression that my lips are permanently deprived of water of a lip balm 🙂

La Mer loose powder! I rarely used powder before I found this stuff, as I always felt it made my skin look (and feel) dry. But this powder is so soft and so pretty; I’m a fan. I’m also loving The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid serum. Also amazing!

Cover FX Custom Enhancer Drops! I’ve been test driving ‘Moonlight’, and after a short learning curve, I’m obsessed! After years of glitter bombs and chalky shimmers, I have found my HG. I love a metallic highlighter, and this is insane. I still hold Mac’s Extra Dimension Skinfinish in ‘Beaming Blush’ highlighter close to my heart, but it’s been bumped to runner up. It does have the advantage of being a powder, so easier to tote around, and its iridescent, duo-chrome formula can’t be rivaled by other powders, so I could never leave it….but the Cover FX, well, that communicates with Mars (and they’d like to let us know that they come in peace). Amazing!

I have oily skin also. The Abh foundation is a bit dry. I spray the Tatcha dewy mist on my face and then apply the foundation. I also spray my brush.

Kat Von D Metal Crush eyeshadow in Thunderstruck! I put this on my cheeks, cheekbones, nose, and chin every day. It’s such a pretty dimensional shade, applying just a little bit to those areas really helps return the natural texture/look to my face after applying a super matte / full coverage foundation. It’s such a pretty highlight, it’s hard not to get a little carried away with it every once and a while! Definitely recommend it as a highlighter to anyone, in fact, I kind of wish it was cross-posted as a highlighter in the swatch gallery!

Highlighters! ✨✨✨ My 2 favorites lately have been Wet N Wild’s “Precious Petals” & Essence’s “Pure Nude” highlighter for a softer, daytime-appropriate look. Believe it or not, I have been reaching for them over my ABH, Dior, Becca, & other more expensive highlighters. They are both under $5! …
