We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! Thank you for understanding!

Chanel Coromandel and Chanel No. 22
Next I’d like to try Ummagumma FZOTIC, Shihan (Sensei) Piotr Czarnecki, Domaine Mona di Orio, Pistachio by D.S. and Durga and Althair by Parfums de Marly.
I can’t remember the name right now and can’t look it up but it’s the “other” autumn scent from Maison Margiela – not By the Fireplace, but the other one.
Chanel Coco Mademoiselle L’eau Prive and the Intense also.
This is one of the main areas of cosmetics/beauty/personal care that I am so not adventurous or experimental in! Pretty much just love what I own already. That said, I wouldn’t mind finding something with Bourbon notes that is neither too smokey, nor too sweet. There used to be one that I once sampled on myself that I was hoping to get eventually… unfortunately, I don’t think that the brand exists anymore? It was by the Olsen twins.
Nirvana Bourbon! I still have minis of all the Nirvana scents. They’re all so lovely; it’s a shame they were discontinued.
Yes, Brooke, that’s the ONE! Thank you for reminding me of the actual name of the brand, because all I could remember was: bourbon and Olsen twins!
Nancy, I don’t know why I care so much about one person’s “pronouncement” but I still remember it and it niggles away at the back of my mind every time I buy a new fragrance, but many years ago, Hubert de Givenchy, that absolute “expert” on style, grace, elegance, said that a woman of true style will only have 3 perfumes! So don’t feel bad about not being a fragrance junkie!
Exactly this, Mariella! I’m picky as heck and also have a somewhat wonky body chemistry that can seriously affect how any given fragrance smells on me. For reference: I literally sweat straight up SALT, but almost never have had issues with body odor? My Mom always mentioned the bizarre combo, and my ex-husband said that on a hot day, kissing my neck was like a horse’s “salt lick”, this because his parents always had horses. So, I don’t think I want to know how that man knew what a salt lick tasted like!
Oh boy. My list on Fragrantica is too long to recount here!
I’d really like to try Sorcellerie Apothecary!!
Cheating a bit. Chanel has a new one coming next year, Comet, and it is heliotrope based. I love heliotrope.
The Juliette Has A Gun range. So beautiful.
Any by Maison Margiela. I’ve not found anything from the brand in the physical stores I’ve been to, nor have I found a sampler set from an online retailer that actually ships here. I’m not adventurous enough to buy a bottle of any scent untried.
Helene – I’m exactly the same. I can’t imagine buying a fragrance without having a chance to smell it first and, even better, sample it on my own skin and with my body chemistry. Mind you, I can’t imagine buying shoes online, unless it’s a duplicate from a brand where I know the sizing and fit/feel of the shoe. Same goes for foundation, concealer, lipstick, etc. (unless it’s a backup of something I know works for me, I just won’t do it).
I’ve been lucky with shoes, I’ve bought a lot of pairs online over the years.
I agree completely on concealers and foundations. I have bought some, the best was from Charlotte Tilbury, when her first foundation was, not new, but newish. The brand sent three testers along with the bottle of foundation, the actual shade I had ordered, one just the next step darker and one lighter. It was also quite easy to return the foundation, if it was the wrong shade.
I like when brands, or stores have this type of service, I know you can get samples from Lisa Eldridge.
Lipsticks I do buy online, but almost only ones reviewed here, I do trust Christines photos.
Got my eye on a Roja Dove Brittania . It’s been discontinued and is a very expensive fragrance. I’ve run through three 10ml decants. Been looking for a good deal before they all disappear but so far it’s close to $600 and I just can’t go there, lol. But my birthday is coming up……….
Dior’s J’Adore d’Eau – it had been on my wishlist for a while based solely on the notes listed in the description but I received a sample a few weeks ago with an order and absolutely fell in love. I’ll definitely purchase it after the holidays.
Carmina by Creed
I SO want Delina!! I want it badly! There are reported dupes that are ‘just as good.’ Maybe I’ll try that first. I am a rose fanatic. I love rose fragrances. My paternal grandmother was the same and always had a bureau of really ‘good stuff,’ like Elizabeth Arden.
