I’m ALL about doing up my eyes! Especially, putting together an eyeshadow color combo I either hadn’t done previously or else haven’t done in a long while. The only other enjoyable part for me is when I’m completely finished putting my face on! ?
Eyeshadow, followed closely by buffing everything in with a finishing powder at the end.
My favorite is definitely putting on lipstick. It is when the whole look comes together. I think there is a certain sensuous response to the lipstick application process. I have to say that misting at the end is really nice, too. I like to bathe in the mist and go through tons of Mac Fix Plus. I have been trying others but I keep coming back to the original.
i enjoy deciding which blush and type of formulation (cream, shimmer, satin etc) to use depending on how i look that day. blush truly enlivens my pallor and it’s my lust/must/need item.
Doing my eyeliner. It just ties everything together.
Eyeshadow! Even before I was into makeup I loved applying it. For a long time I didn’t know anything else except eyeshadow and mascara. It is so fun and creative! I rarely do the same look twice in a row and often put make up on only because I want to play with my it ?.
Blush and foundation, I have too many of theses two !
Applying lipstick and eyeliner
Eyeshadow. It’s like I’m a kid with a box of crayons again. OK, a box of mostly neutral crayons, but still.
Eyes always take me longer than I want. I find it frustrating to no longer be happy with one and done and to only be happy with my handiwork when I’ve spent time slowly adding depth and blending. So right now, I think cheeks are the most fun and gratifying. I really enjoy building and layering products; seeing results quicker. My two obsessions: MAC extra dimension blushes and Hourglass strobe lighting blushes. MAC Faux sure turned out a bit too warm on me so popped a bit of Wrapped Candy on top and it is a gorgeous pairing. Hourglass formula turned out so much livelier than their first stab at blushes. The finish is beyoootiful
I think I already answered a similar question in the earlier posts, but here we go.
It’s all ’bout that base for me 🙂 It is really satisfying seeing how my foundation evens out my completion and makes my skin look glowing and pampered. Instant pick me up! Love the highlighter part as well, but don’t feel like I figured out the best way to apply it so it would look like it was meant to be there (think Jacklyn Hill. No matter how much highlighter she applies, it does not seem out of place).
I’ve always enjoyed the wonderful world of eyeshadow :-). And, over the decades I’ve seen countless trends come and go. Some I’ve fully embraced, some I’ve found boring or silly, some I’ve found attractive but just not suited to me. No matter how I feel about them, though, I always find them interesting and a source inspiration.
Mascara!
Highlighter and Mascara are my transformers. 🙂
I’m still trying to finish my Mary Louminizer – it’s like the never-ending compact. I have my Carli Bybel Deluxe palette, and all of those highlighters are fantastic. I also like Jeffree Star highlighters for special nights out.
My Benefit Roller Lash makes my lashes pop!
I really love when I seal in my makeup. When my base it done, I feel super accomplished and happy.
Eyeshadow first by far. I find something relaxing about doing a more complex look.
I love applying eyeshadow, and planning how to create certain colour combos according to my mood, occasion, or what I’m wearing!!
I really love doing my brows with an angled brush. I have been using the Milani Stay Put. My favorite is highlighter. I’d cover my face in it if it were acceptable lol. I have to restrain myself from putting on too much.
Lips! It’s my final step and it changes the entire look of my face. Also, I’m a lip product junkie so I have endless options!
Foundation (I’m on a personal testing spree) and my mascara routine. Eyelashes are doing superbly well and love to see the transformation in both skin and lashes!
Lipsticks/glosses — it’s fun every day.
Mascara. Nothing looks right until my eyelashes are long, full and dark.
Mascara!
Foundation and lashes!
I am happy when my foundation comes out looking nice. I enjoy applying highlighter & blush. I own a lot of eye shadows but I ten to wear only one or two at a time because I don’t like to look made up but just better than what I normally look like without makeup.
Mixing foundations and lip colors for a unique look.
Sadly as I age my eyelids are starting to get crepy so applying eye shadow is no longer my favorite part as it used to be. Now applying mascara is, the Ciate mascara makes it look like I have extensions on, I think it takes the focus away from my eyelids.
When I have a foundation that I love, a good brush or sponge that works excellent with the foundation, applying foundation is my favorite part of my makeup application. I like applying eyeshadow a lot, but good foundation satisfies something in me. I’m in love with Covergirl Vitalist Healthy Elixir Foundation right now and the color match is excellent, it gives a natural look and feels as if I have nothing on. I love putting it on because I know every time I will be happy with the finish.
Right now I’m loving the flush I get from blush. Nothing like alittle color in the face! And the finishing powder smooths it out so nicely.
Putting on lipstick is my favorite part even though my eyeshadow collection is so massive I’m ashamed. I love swatching different colors and playing around before deciding which to wear, which is so bs on my part because in a hurry I can decide and find what I want before taking a single peek. I think it’s because as others have said lipstick ties everything together and finishes off my polished look.I don’t feel complete until the lipstick is on ?
My eyes are EVERYTHING! I enjoy designing eye looks either around a particular palette or a particular color. Last week I designed entire look around UD Omen. But my favorite part is when I put on my lipstick because once the lipstick is on the look is complete.
I love doing my eyes, from brows to that final sweep of mascara. I enjoy trying to achieve higher levels of creativity with my color selection.
Always picking out my eye shadows to wear and choosing a lipstick.
doing my eyeshadow is the most fun! it takes time and focus for me when i use many colours and amp up the drama. which is most days. I rarely wear natural makeup. i either wear nothing, or i doll myself up majorly. but I will say, i don’t find doing winged eyeliner fun. I use Inglot gel liner which is soooo good but the stress of getting my long dramatic wings even without being too thick makes it less fun haha. i still do it most days though.
I love the transformation in my face when I put on blush and lipstick! Makes me happy.
Two answers, I love luxury skin care not by price but by real quality. I also love color cosmetics that are blend able and versatile.
I love doing my eyes, especially eyeshadow. Definitely tons of fun for a color junkie like myself.
Lipstick. I usually do a neutral or minimal eye with a bold lip to balance out my bold frames. After the lipstick is when I look in the mirror and smile.
I think probably foundation; it’s fun watching how much it transforms the look of my skin. And of course, lipstick 🙂 It just brightens up my look!
I find doing my lips the most enjoyable. This is the part that really finishes my look and sets me apart. So many women seem afraid to wear lipstick, and I think it makes me feel so pretty.
I love doing my foundation. It’s something that I like to practice and I think makes the most differences in makeup routine.
I either find doing my eyeshadow really fun or really stressful depending on the situation. If it’s just for fun then I love it, but if it’s crunch time I get anxious about screwing up. I think lip products are always nice to do as I do my lips last, and leaning back to look at the finished look once I’ve put some lip product on is a uniquely satisfying experience.
Applying my lip color! Applying my opaque gloss instantly pulls my entire look together and makes me feel sexy! Applying my blush is my second favorite part of putting on makeup because it warms and brightens my face.
late reply; my fave is blush. i enjoy how it brings colour to life on the face.
