What moisturizer are you currently using in the AM?

What moisturizer are you currently using in the AM? Is it HG material? Can’t wait to be out?

Right now, I’ve been using Kiehl’s Daily Moisturizer with SPF 15 for the AM!

Clinique Dramatically Different Gel for AM. I haven’t tried tons of moisturizers but this seems pretty HG for me, although I would like something with an SPF…

Ali Avatar

Well i was using the Mario Badescu honey moisturizer…but it broke me out horribly within the first week 🙁 so now im not using a moisturizer (which i know is horrible) and hopefully my skin will clear up again with the help of philosophy’s microdermabrasion exfoliating wash! 🙂 btw christine something funky is going on with my OPI nail polish in Bubble Bath… it seems like theres mold in the bottle? Is that possible?

Currently I’m using Nivea Soft, the original Nivea’s much less greasy, whipped feeling sibling. I alternate between the two, leaving the one in blue packaging for winter when my skin is extremely dry and irritated from the wind and cold.
It’s been a HG in my household for generations :]

Ponds Dry Skin Cream. Hate it. I’m trying to use it up, but it just won’t go anywhere! It leaves my skin greasy without actually moisturizing it!

Gisele Avatar

In the a.m. I use Bobbi Brown’s Protective Face Lotion w/SPF 15. It has lavender in it which I think helps to quickly clear up whiteheads, which I still get from time to time. I’m about to re-purchase a 2nd bottle so it’s as close to HG as anything would be for me.

100% Pure Antioxident Hydration SPF 20… and I don’t like to think about running out! As a student, $34 CAD is a lot to pay for 60ml of lotion 🙁

I can’t bear to part with it, though — it’s lovely, lightweight, and (most importantly,) silicone-free. So I guess I’ll just have to save my pennies and rebuy!

Currently using Clean and Clear dual action moisturizer oil-free in the AM, mixed with a half scoop of Philosophy’s vitamin C powder. I like that it controls the oilies and breakouts but wish it had SPF. I’ll probably move onto something else when I’m done.

i’ve used lots of brands from low end to high end and they’ve never worked for me until i discovevered that little treasure :Moisturising Day Care with organic lavender essential oil from durance. It’s a french cosmetics brand specialized in natural organics products (95%) natural actually. Since i’ve been using this, my skin feels so smooth and shine free all day (no joke), i think it also works better than other primer and makeup base( i used mac and makeup forever primers), i don’t touch up my makeup anymore, i’m completely crazy about that stuff! oh and i forgot to mention that i also use skinfood green coffee bean sunscreen spf50. I’m asian with combination ,oily skin and i live in a very hot and humid country (southeast asia)

Dr. Hauschka Normalising Day Oil and it works amazing on oily and acne prone skin.I know it`s a bit unusual to use oil as an moisturizer for oily skin but it really works.Unfortunately it doesn`t has an SPF in it beacause Dr. Hauschka Skincare is organic.
Im also using the whole skin care range by Dr. Hauschka for oily skin and works so much better than the clinique 3 step system (especially the toner was too harsh for my skin)! But thats another topic,I think 🙂

Been using Cliniques Dramatically Different twice a day. At night, i mix it with my night cream, and in the morning, I mix it with Cetaphils SPF 50 sunscreen. I love it, because i can use the sunscreen without breakouts, like I got using it on its own. I reviewed the moisturizer recently, and its AWESOME for my slightly-oily, VERY sensitive skin!

I’m using Boscia’s Daily Hydration with Spf 15. It’s the only thing I’ve found so far that has spf and sinks right into my combination skin very quickly 🙂 Perfect for my quick morning routine so I don’t have to wait a long time before I put on my foundation. I’m worried it won’t be hydrating enough for winter though so I’ll need to find a new one then. Suggestions?

Sisley Intensive Day Cream with botanical extracts. Jar 2. Love it- smells wonderful, soothes my sensitive combination skin, moisturizing and has a matte finish which is perfect for makeup 🙂

I recently bought a Dior Youthful Moisturizer SPF 15 from the Hydra Life collection. It comes in a fantastic glass jar (as it should for $65 Cdn. with a scoop). I realize that jars are bad news for breakdown of good ingredients. Don’t laugh at me, but I put it on in the dark and only use the scoop to pull product which I then brush on with a foundation brush. When it’s not in use, it sits in a drawer. I’m hoping the lack of germs and sunlight will extend its shelf life because the cream itself makes my skin soft, supple and glowing.

I just finished my Kimberly Sayer Ultra Light Moisturizer SPF 25. I purchased this from Whole Foods because I was looking for natural products to use on my face. Since my skin is combination the sales associate recommended Kimberly Sayer. Initially, I did not like the texture or how it felt on my face. I switched cleansers and started using Aveeno Positively Radiant. I really like it. Now that it is finished I am willing to try something else but would recommended this. For $35 you get a lot of product, at least 6 months worth.

I use olay complete for combo/oily skin with SPF 15 in the am and this is my hg moisturizer. I have tried numerous drugstore and high end products but I keep coming back to this one. Xoxoxo

right now I’m using Armani’s OMC3 cream so far I’m happy with it, seems to have evened out my skin tone a bit – sometimes I use the DDF Enhancing Sun protection over top for extra spf

raquel Avatar

I am using Origins A Perfect World SPF 25 and so far so good! I use it on top of the serum and my skin drinks it up like nothing else. 🙂 I’ve been using it for a little over a week now so we will see how my skin will behave w/ this one, but I have a feeling it will reach HG status!

NeenaJ Avatar

Raquel, do you have dry or oily skin? I’ve been thinking of trying this but wasn’t sure if it would be moisturizing enough for my dry skin.

right now, I’m using Eucerin Redness Relief day lotion SPF 15 with Cerave night facial lotion over it.

Thanks!

raquel Avatar

Hi NeenaJ! My skin if definitely combination. I am dry on cheeks and chin, but my nose and forehead tend to get oily throughout the day. I Think that this moisturizer would work really well for your dry skin because it is quite thick in consistency but doesn’t leave a film on top of the skin. In 2 minutes, my skin is done absorbing it. It doesn’t have a “gel” look to it, it is definitely a moisturizing cream. You mentioned you are using Eucerin Redness and I suffer from that as well. I do think that the Origins moisturizer is calming my skin down a bit. Like I said, I really like it so far! Try and get a sample at your local mall if you can. Good luck!

Sandra Avatar

Eve Pearl Priming Moisturizer with Astaxanthin (this has great oil control), otherwise, a brand-less Calming Chamomile Day Lotion which I picked up from mudshop.com.

Megan Avatar

I have been using Arbonne’s Re9 Restorative Day Creme with SPF 20 for a few months with the rest of the anit-aging collection….I dont know how I will ever be able to switch to anything else despite the cost (even though my sister swears by Bare Mineral’s Day Moisturizer)

Dana Avatar

Aveeno Clear Complexion Moisturizer. It’s pretty good, it does not make me break out which is the #1 thing I look for in a moisturizer. It’s thick but not at all heavy and absorbs quickly which is nice. It also does a pretty good job keeping my skin hydrated, I am very oily but I get dry patches and occasional tightness. I do not like moisturizers with SPF, when I go out in the sun I use a separate SPF

Katie Avatar

I use good old Cetaphil. It’s inexpensive, yet works miracles for my dry skin. I’ve tried almost all of the high end moisturizers and Cetaphil beats them all.

Kourtni Avatar

Clean Start Stay Matte is what I have been using since I got it for my birthday but I have been using the Clean and Clear Morning Burst moisturizer for quite some time.

LNU Avatar

I’m using Neutrogena Oil-Free Spf 15 on the days I go out, and on the days I don’t go out I just use johnsons shea and cocoa butter lotion or cream I don’t know which it is.

Elice Avatar

I’m using Shiseido’s Bio-Performance Advanced Super Revitalizer and Shiseido’s Extra Smooth Sun Protection Cream in SPF 38…..Love it!!!

ann Avatar

h20+ face oasis hydrating treatment. it is hands down best moisturizer ever. very lightweight. soaks right in, water based. highly recommend, i tried everything- clinique different gel, moisture surge, neutrogena, korres, everything, and nothing compares to this!!! i have combo oily skin on my tzone, this is best ever!!!

Courtney Avatar

I use Aveeno Positively Ageless with SPF 30 and I love it! It’s hard to find a decently high SPF facial lotion that still feels like lotion instead of sunblock. I put it on before applying my makeup in the morning and have been super happy with it. Will definitely buy again.

Lo Avatar

I use Dermalogica Active Moist morning and night, unless I’m going to be in the sun a lot and then I wear Elizabeth Arden SPF 50 8 hour cream sun defence for face which is oil free too.

Mornings at my place: Le Metier de Beaute Peau Vierge Anti-Aging Tinted Treatment Complexe (spf 20). I bought this hoping it could be a summer moisturizer/foundation in one, but there’s not enough coverage for me (I guess I should have expected that with a tinted moisturizer) and it’s too sparkly for my tastes. So aesthetically, it’s definitely not worth the $$$$, but do I love how it makes my skin feels. I wish it wasn’t tinted so I could use it as a night cream instead.

Mornings at my boyfriend’s: Dermalogica Active Moist – I love this but wish it had spf.

Jess Avatar

I’ve been using the Korres pomegranate balancing moisturizer for about 3 weeks now. It’s a great summertime moisturizer because it’s the only cream I’ve used that actually controls my oil all day and keeps my face pretty matte. It is however hard to spread and doesn’t leave me feeling moisturized at all, but it doesn’t break me out and I will be using it up.

Jess Avatar

I have tried loads of very expensive creams from La Prarie, Shiseido, SKII and the list goes on but it seems my skin loves Vanishing Cream from Lush. Fine by me as it is cheap 😉

Liz Avatar

I’ve been using Vichy Aqualia Thermal with SPF 15, since it’s summer. I like it, but it doesn’t really stand out. I love my Lise Watier and Bioderma moisturizers so much more, but they don’t have SPF, so I don’t use them in the morning. As for one with SPF, I might just repurchase the Garnier nutritioniste, since it’s cheaper and works just as well as the Vichy

Red Katie Avatar

Pharmagel’s Hydroxy-10. Love it. Cured the crazy dry patches i had on the hollows of my cheeks (that i still had in THE SUMMER!!)

Shannon Avatar

Lush newbie and on a mega kick! My sensitive, combo oily & break-out prone skin is loving the Tea Tree Water toner spritz followed by Paradise Regained spf 15-20 moisturizer – wonderfully light and leaves my skin super soft & happy without being greasy or pore-clogging.

Read through the comments and was surprised to not see this:

LRP Anthelios SX Moisturizer with SPF 15. I have dry skin and find this pretty moisturizing. The broadness of UV protection can’t be beat. I bought a 3.4 ounce tube off Amazon for $25 with free shipping.

I believe day creams are about two things: skin defense and moisturizing. This is a winner at both. Our bodies repair themselves during sleep, so I save the treatment moisturizers for bedtime.

Miss Silver Avatar

I use the anti ageing day moisturiser by Simple. It’s fragrance free which helps with not irritating my sensitive nose. I always spritz a bit of the Neutrogena sun screen with the moisturiser before I apply it to my face on a sunny day.

Melissa Avatar

I use Cetaphil UVA/UVB Defense with SPF 50. I have very fair and sensitive skin, and I’ve found the Cetaphil to be the most gentle and protecting lotion.
