We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! Thank you for understanding!

MAC’s Veluxe Pearl and Inglot’s Pearl finishes/formulas are my favourite examples of a preferred formula. As for MATTE shadows, I really liked MAC’s Matte2 formula, which is a thing of the past.
Satin finishes.
Raises hand in agreement, Christine! 🙋🏻♀️
I remember when the once enormous OG MAC eyeshadow catalog included lovely satins, Veluxe Pearl and softer metallic shades. UD also had quite a few beautiful softer metallic and shimmer eyeshadows in their permanent range, once upon a time. I’m definitely glad that I was able to nab Dior’s pre-(newest) reformulation with Tutu and Plum Tulle that likewise has that softer shimmer, satin and refined metallic formulas.
I agree, Christine. There isn’t much middle ground with eyeshadow finishes.
Yes, I would go for more satin and pearl finishes as well. How about a palette of autumn shades with satin, pearl, soft shimmers and a couple of metallics and NO mattes?
I’m with you Christina more satins !!! They’re just pretty and easy to apply.
I agree with you, Christine. I love a beautiful satin finish that gives just a hint of luster and color, all with staying power. As my eyelids age, it becomes more evident that sparkles won’t work.
Yes to satins/pearls…like Viseart’s Paris Nudes and Bijoux Royale (which I foolishly decluttered and can no longer find)
I agree about the satin finishes! Also, anything in twist up stick form for application. In every shade and finish!
Concur! Satin in particular. And also semi-mattes.
