Hourglass Strobing Powder in Euphoric
Same with the rotating of them, but probably either MAC Soft & Gentle or Laura Mercier Highlight 01.
Definitely theBalm Mary-Lou Manizer!
Ok, this is really tough. It would have to be a tie – Laura Mercier Matte Radiance 01 & the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette.
It took me ages to buy the Hourglass palette and I’m SO glad I did!
Becca’s Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed in Opal is perfection on my light-medium warm skintone. I love the liquid version as well but use the pressed version the most.
Definitely Disney Dare to Dream Highlighter in Pocahontas, a cream stick in soft gold shimmer. I use it almost everyday as a cream base for my powder blushes. Otherwise, most blushes disappear within a couple of hours. It was LE, so I got a backup too
Ack that’s really hard because I have been all about highlighter lately! The Charlotte Tilbury x Norman Parkinson Dreamy Glow Highlighter is amazing and is my most reached for powder highlight at the moment.
When I want a liquid-based highlight I’m mainly been reaching for Becca Moonstone lately, and when I want a cream-based one I’ve been reaching for MAC’s Cream Color Base in Pearl (because I am a ghost…).
There are others, but I’d say those are the most-used ones at the moment.
Delilah Pure Light Aura
E.l.f. Blush in Gotta Glow (Too Faced Candlelight dupe).
Excellent choice 🙂 I love that one!
I’m actually happy with all the 3 highlighters I have at the moment (is MAC Emphasize a highlighter per se?, if so, then 4). I have MAC Lightscapade, MAC Sparkling Rose powder and the one and only Mary-Lou Manizer. The latter two I tend to use more, which makes them my most used, I guess.
I had Pearl color base from MAC and used it up quite quickly, a really good one. Had NARS Albatross and did not get that yellow-almost-greenish sheen that shows up on me. Gave it away to my sister – now she doesn’t get that color either 🙂 Anyone does?
Albatross shows up on me as white with gold reflects. I think it depends on your skin tone.
Thank you for the feedback! I really wanted it to work, I love NARS, but I don’t know what I’m doing wrong to get that sheen. It’s definitely too yellow on me.
Yeah on me anything that’s bronze-y at all looks ORANGE, so I totally understand looking at something that’s so pretty on other people but just doesn’t work on you :/
I love MAC Lightscapade and Pearl. Whenever I use Lightscapade I feel semi-futuristic because of how it looks in the pan XD.
Hi! Thank you for the comment! Yes, by no means I think Lightscapade is not great! Mine is a LE from a couple of years ago (Lightness of Being) and it’s got that knitted pattern, so it’s even more beautiful 🙂 It’s just I somehow find that MAC Sparkling Rose suits my skin tone better, so have nothing bad to say at all 🙂
Mary Loumanizer by The Balm
Becca Champagne Pop. I like a strong highlight and Champagne Pop gives me that without being over the top on my medium-tan skintone.
the balm mary lou-manizer!
Definitely my Sisley L’Orchidée Rose Highlighter Blush!
NARS Albatross!
I love highlighers. They’re so pretty!!!!. Sadly, I feel they usually emphasize my skin texture so I don’t use them very often. Probably, my most used right now is WnW Reserve your Cabana because it’s so subtle that I think it doesn’t emphasize anything.
When i wear cool toned makeup my most used is Burberry runway palette no2 white and when wearing warm colors the one i use the most is MAC oh darling.
MeMeMe Sun Beam, but to be honest I rarely use highlighter at all.
Mac lightscapade or Benefit High Beam
While I’m trying to get more use of Dior Rose Diamond, just because I’ve had it for years and it still looks new, in all honesty, it’s a toss-up between TheBalm Mary Loumanizer and WnW Reserve Your Cabana because that one is subtle enough for every day/work.
It’s really hard to say since I have so many ?. I put a big dent in my tiny KA Starlight (sooo pretty!) but once I got the ABH Gleam kit I did start reaching for that a lot, especially Starburst and Crushed Pearl. Although now that it’s summer I am starting to reach for more golden shades. I love them all!
Wet n Wild Geometric Highlighting Powder in Desert Explorations. I picked it up a couple weeks ago and have been using it almost daily.
My most used highlighter is an oldie but a goody TheBalm Mary-lumanizer
Colour Pop Double Dip. I was so happy they brought it back!
Lately it’s been ColourPop Butterfly Beach.
Bobbi Brown Pink Glow!
I don’t think I have one. I use a different highlighter every time I do my makeup. Maybe the Jaclyn Hill and Becca Champagne Pop Palette. It’s soooo versatility and I like mixing the colors.
a tie between Looxi Ever After and Laura Geller Ballerina. Often I layer and wear the Geller as a blush and the Looxi as the highlight.
BECCA Champagne Pop or Topaz…soon to add Rose Gold into rotation.
Super tough since like you I alternate a lot. And I tend to choose the highlight based around the rest of the makeup look (ie if the makeup leans cool, one of my weirder/more ethereal cool highlights comes out. If it’s warmer, all the fun warm ones can play). But probably RMS Living Luminizer is one of my top go-tos. The texture works well over and under makeup or without any other makeup at all. It’s extremely natural looking but buildable and gorgeous with a unique but usable color mix. Plus it’s very easy to add other, more intense highlights over top if desired.
Ooh, 100% Laura Mercier Matte Radiance 01! It’s intense but somehow natural at the same time. Like it’s an intense shine, but you can never see any sparkle or glitter or particles at all.
That’s a difficult one! I would probably have to say that it’s a three-way tie between MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in Lightscapade, Laura Geller Baked Highlighter in French Vanilla/Portofino and Barbara Daly Light Illusion Powder Highlighter (old and discontinued).
That’s about as much as I can do to narrow it down! I love them all for different reasons. ?
Probably the balm Cindy Lou-manizer because it’s been one of my favorites for a long time.
I only have two! Mac Extra Dimension skinfinish in Shaft of Gold and Kevyn Aucoin Starlight..i use starlight almost everyday.
Tough question indeed! I guess my most used is The Balm Mary-Lou Manizer, I love a strong highlight 🙂
my most used highlighter is MAC soft n gentle.
MAC Iridescent Pressed Powder in Verve-acaious.
Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Liquid in Opal. Love subtle.
I LOVE that one! I also like the liquid form for spring/summer.
Anastasia Beverly Hills Golden Bronze from That Glow Glow Kit. I feel like it brings my face to life and adds a nice touch of warmth too
Laura Mercier
theBalm Cindy-Lou Manizer, ColourPop Spoon.
Right now the highlight part of Charlotte Tillbury Filmstar bronze & glow palette, but that´s just because I recently got it. I love all my highlighters and use them all
Charlotte Tilbury x Norman Parkinson Dreamy Glow Highlighter.
Me too! I was so glad I snapped that one up last summer. Soooo worth it.
Hmm… Wet n Wild Reserve Your Cabana or BareMinerals Luminizer Duo (The Love Affair/The Shining Moment).
Honestly, those are the only highlighters in my stash. I’ve been eyeing Becca Champagne Pop. Laura Mercier Matte Radiance, Anastasia Glow Kit in Gleam… and possibly those Looxi ones!
I laaahhhhve Gleam- All of the colors in it are so pretty and different from the typical golden shades. If you haven’t tried Looxi yet I will say I find them a little dry and loose, but they look fine once applied and there are some super fun colors available!
That bareMinerals duo is my lifeblood! I love how they have shine but not a whole lot of shimmer. Plus I’m a sucker for golds 😛
I cannot live without Becca Rose Gold.
MAC Too Chic is the one I use most I would say. It goes well with about everything and its got the right balance between warm and cool.
Mac Emphasize or eyeshadow in Claire de Lune (Mac). I tend to gravitate to eyeshadows more for highlighters than actual highlighters, mostly due to convenience – they’re right there instead of searching for something else! 😀
Last night I entered a comment, but it weirdly never went through? Idk what happened!
Anyway, my favorite of late has definitely been MAC OtherEarthly MSF. But I do have several that are in steady rotation: Colourpop Butterfly Beach, MAC Shaft Of Gold and Laura Mercier Matte Highlight 01 all make the cut! MAC Pearl Blossom too!
Becca SSP in Pearl. OG.
Lightscapade by Mac!
Limited Edition 2016 Dior Glowing Gardens in Glowing Pink — wish Dior made it permanent — so beautiful!
Becca Champagne Pop (Jaclyn Hill)
Nars Copacabana. It’s the only one that doesn’t make my skin look textured & wrinkled, especially where it’s not!
Becca champagne pop and Mac soft and gentle. Both are beautiful!
Clinique Hefty Highlight is my favorite.
Mary-louinizer
Angel from the Urban Decay x Gwen blush palette!
That’s also been my highlighter of choice lately. Love that palette.
Recently its been MAC otherearthly, i love how you can use the colors individually or customize. Love Wisp by Colourpop and my newest addition to my holy grail list is JD glow cosmetics Ariel, it is one of the most unique highlighters ive ever seen! I now own a few from them and they are all FANTASTIC and you get a HUGE(2oz) amount for a GREAT price! It will take mine and my childrens lifetimes to hit pan!
Lightscapade from Mac <3
The balm Marylou Manizer or sometimes I use Mac Shroom eyeshadow!! When I want a more discreet highlight/glow I use diffused light from my Hourglass ambient edit palette.
Right now, probably Tom Ford Moodlight, but other favorites are Giorgio ArmaniFluid Sheer #7 and #17 and Cle de Peau luminizers in #11 and #14
I’d still say the Telepathy shade (pretty sure it’s that one–the large center shade) from KVD Monarch palette. Such a gorgeous highlight for the face! I also use the corresponding shade in the Chrysalis palette a lot. For a long time, I didn’t own anything that was specifically marketed to be highlighters until I got Wisp and Monster from ColourPop. I wear both of them a lot now, too, but I’ve definitely gotten the most use out of Telepathy.
Becca Moonstone – it is light and gives a beautiful touch to my complexion.
Hmmm… I rotate a lot too, but at the moment:
-Becca Moonstone or Burberry Nude Glow for liquid highlighter
-Edward Bess Sunlight if i want a cream highlighter
-TF Illuminating Duo or KA Candlelight if I want a powder
My most used highlighter for years has been MAC Soft and Gentle. I also love my Mary-Lou-manizer, but i only use it when I need that extra oomph.
I rotate a lot I use to reach for becca in moonstone , and Laura mercier 01 . Now I’ve been using nars dual intensity in frenzy , and I love the new urban decay afterglow highlighter in sin.
Hourglass Ambient Lighting palette, especially Dim Light. I just picked up two of the new Lorac highlighters, Moonlight (love it) and Starlight. They are so velvety smooth.
theBalm Mary-Lou Manizer or Hourglass Strobing Powder in Euphoric. I flippin’ love strong, pigmented highlights! Especially as eyeshadow or lightly dusted over.
My favourite off all the time (so sad because its a limited edition)
**Terracotta Sun in the city from Guerlain**
I know its writting “Terracotta” thats “supposed” to mean a bronzer but its absolutely not a bronzer!! Its really an Highlighter and a beautiful one 🙂
Hourglass Ambient Strobe Powder in Incandescent. This gives the most beautiful glow to my complexion (without being a glitter bomb). I also really love Becca Skin Perfector (Poured) in Pearl.
On another note: I’m dying to pick up the new Marc Jacobs Glowstick in Spotlight as well. It looks like it will be really gorgeous!! As soon as my bonus comes in there’s a large Sephora order coming my way!
Laura Geller Baked Highlighter in French Vanilla.
I bought the last shade of Laura Mercier “addiction” illuminator last week and I’ve been playing with that one lately. I’m also rotating through different highlighters. Today I’m wearing rose gold, andethe other day I had on champagne pop, but it’s mostly been the additiction shade. Before I bought addiction, we’ll I go to the gym at 4am and haveess time to. Get ready for work so I haven’t used any highlighters hit Becca’s blushed copper I’ve been using as a blush on my nw45 skin lately.
I have a thousand of them lol! But my favorite one that I can definite count on to give me that perfect ‘bang’ glow would have to go to Mary Lou;) next fave of mine that I have been also using a lot is Mac’s pearl color base!!! Love it!
Becca Moonstone; Laura Geller Gilded Honey; Nars Hot Sand Illuminator – I can’t choose one! I love all of these almost equally!
Kevyn aucoin candlelight
Hands down Laura Mercier Matte Radiance and before that MAC Lightscapade
I see the Marylou manizer is a favourite for many ? Its mine for sure! Not only because its so good but also I love the compact, sturdy, cute, with a good mirror. Got me a backup actually, glad I did cuz the brand is no longer available in my country
I have 2 liquid highlighters and 1 poster (small fry compared to a lot of you ladies). They are Seventeen Skin Wow Primer, Benefit Sun Beam and Laura Geller Ballerina. I’m project panning the Seventeen one so this is my most used. My daughter however has a big collection of highlighters (it seems to be her thing and I’m curious to try some of hers).
The Incandescent Light in the Ambient Lighting Palette by Hourglass, although technically it wasn’t marketed as a highlighter. I LOVE that I could layer it for more or less intensity with little effort, and that it gives a very believable but ethereal glow on my yellow-toned complexion.
MAC CCB in Pearl all year round and Becca Opal (the liquid version) for the summer
Easy, Mary-Lou-Manizer. I also use NARS Nico and Albatross is on my to buy list. I do however think my favourite will remaning the lovely Mary-Lou.
Canmake Highlighter in White. It’s almost ran out so I will treat myself to Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector soon!
I’m really new to highlighters. I’m super fair skinned so nothing really works for me. I just went on the quest this weekend, which is weird because I keep seeing all these posts about highlighters suddenly, while on my Quest. I just picked up the NYX powder ones, Ritualistic of course, but I also got Chaotic to be a blush. I’m on a buying freeze, so after coupon $6 for each was a score!
The Hourglass Ambient Lighting palette (but more as an all over powder) and my ABH Glow Kit in Gleam ^^
I’m really feeling golds lately so it’s a toss up between the bareMinerals duo in Love Affair/Shining Moment and the Elf’s Sunkissed! But my go-to highlighters, which are now equally used, are Laura Gellar’s spackle primer on Ethereal (under and over makeup) and a Max Studio baked blush in Rose.
This is a tough one. I usually use Kevyn Aucoin “The Celestial” powder or Becca’s Illuminator in Opal, but I recently got Tarte’s Rainforest of the Sea Trio Highlighter and I really like it too.
Laura Geller -Gilded Honey. It’s beautiful and not sparkly.
I don’t use highlighter a lot but I’ve been reaching for my Urban Decay aura a lot since I got it. I work a lot and since I got this everyone at work has mentioned that I just have this nice little glow. So I’m going to stick with this one for a bit lol. Plus it’s just a perfect subtle color for my skintone
between mac soft and gentle and becca champagne pop!
The Bobbi Brown shimmer brick in Nectar. I usually like cream stick-like products, and my fave highlighter used to be the PÜR limited edition glamstick (it ran out and they no longer stock it 🙁 ), but there’s something about the peachy glow from Nectar that I really like. It’s also great as a brow bone highlight, all over the lid, even an inner corner highlight when wet– It’s just super easy breezy beautiful. It’s an anomaly in my creature of habit cream collection lol simply because it was a present but it’s been my favourite ever since I got it. I have medium-dark normal/dry combination skin btw :*
Hourglass Incandescent Light or TheBalm’s Mary-Lou Manizer! I have also been enjoying UD’s Aura Afterglow highlight, but it’s still fairly new to my collection.
I love so many highlighters and I just got the UD shades in Fireball and Aura so I’ve been playing with those a lot but my most used has to be thebalm Mary Lou-manizer. I buy new highlighters and love them but once the newness wears off I default to Mary 🙂 Although I have a Mac CCB from the Mia Moretti collection that’s given Mary some competition!
Mine is Laura Geller Baked Vanilla Highlighter. It has a sheer, champagne glow that is never too much and goes with my light complexion.
Definitely the 2 Laura Geller highlighters – both fab.
