Versace Yellow Diamond 🙂 I prefer the dry-down scent. Straight out of the bottle is a bit too floral for me but the dry down is lovely!

Weird, I was just thinking about fragrances and seasons as I was driving to work this morning! I have a couple fragrances that go into hibernation in November and don’t come out again until spring. These are Guerlain Aqua Allegoria Mandarine Basilic and Origins Ginger Essence. But right now, as we are on the verge of spring, I’m deeply involved with both Chanel No. 19 and YSL Libre, depending on my mood.

Tokyo Milk Curiosite Wisdom #26. It is one of my “waterlily” scents and I wear them almost exclusively in the spring. I have another that I love and I searched the bottle for the name and there is nothing on it! The name “Waterlily” is imprinted on the bottle and the bottle is a frosted glass. It is beautiful. I can’t for the life of me remember the brand or even when I purchased it. I have had it for at least 20 years. Still smells great. I am a huge Claude Monet fan and I think I picked up the “Waterlily” in honor of him and realized I loved it.

I’ve been rotating between Glossier You, Burberry Her, and Jo Malone English Pear & Freesia over the last month.

This reminds me to dig out my collection, I love spring fragrances and have way too many and need to give them all some love! My most-worn spring fragrance fave is probably Hermes In Jardin Sur le Toit. It’s a fresh apple + green.

D&G The One. I have several perfumes, but this is the one that I reach the most. Honorable mention to Wonderlust (Michael Kors).

I miss Alien so much lately! I used to wear it all year. Even family members got addicted to it. I’ve been tempted to get it but I’ve been *trying to stick to vegan fragrances that don’t have artificial fragrances in them. So, EOs, absolutes, plant extracts. It’s hard. ?

SPRING! Sooooo excited! Ugh! Be gone winter!

All my favorites for spring are long discontinued so I use them sparingly:

Estée Lauder’s Honeysuckle Splash and Imperial Garden from Avon. They’re both white florals with a huge punch of GREEN in them.

For something a little darker I LOVE Volcan d’Amour from Diane von Furstenberg. It’s one of the few violet perfumes I have. It’s similar to the smell of Guerlain Meteroites in the container but earthier with something reminiscent of leather. It SMELLS like a spring night to me and is one of the perfumes people often ask about when I wear it so it’s a nice attention getter when I’m in that mood 😉

I wear all my perfumes throughout the year and don’t consumer any of them ‘seasonal’ scents. However if I were to recommend a ‘spring like perfume’ it would have to be the entire Hermessences line by Jean Claude Ellena. They are all very light, airy, and you can’t go wrong with them.

Spring 2020 will be a carousel ride betwixt Chanel Paris-Venise, Hermés Un Jardin Sur Le Nil and Hermés Eau de Rhubarbe Ecarlate by my pet perfumers Polge, Ellena and Nagel!

Jo Malone Peony & Blush Suede is my favorite spring fragrance. I’m a fan of peony, but it’s hard to get it right.
