What is the difference between a good and great eyeshadow for you?

A good eyeshadow will be pigmented, blendable, and have decent wear, while a great eyeshadow will have better wear, less fallout, and a more forgiving/flattering texture on skin.

We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! Good: Pigmented, yet easily blended out. Lasts all day (or night). Doesn’t migrate during wear. Not too powdery.
Great: Not prone to fallout, though it may have a formula best applied with fingertips for the fullest impact and lack of fallout for more flakey or glittery shades. Does not wear away even if I am wearing it for 12+ hours! Full opacity (at least for mattes and basic shimmer/metallic formulas), but easy to get a sheered out, seamless edge without much effort, in other words, it blends itself. Blends nicely with the other shades without going “muddy”.

A good eyeshadow is one that applies evenly and blends out seamlessly. It should have decent pigmentation, wear without creasing and stay for at least 8 hours.
A great blush is one that, in addition the the above, smooths my eyelids and doesn’t emphasize the appearance of the sagging and crepe that has increased dramatically in the past couple of years. If it is a unique or more complex color, all the better.
