We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! I should answer “everything” because I’ve got so much (though skincare is the one area where I actually do finish items and repurchase). Probably blush and lip products. I’ve yet to finish up a blush – any blush – ever, and my recent glut of MAC Craving purchases (2 on my own last month and then one in my Xmas stocking plus the 2 I already had “in reserve”) should more than do me for a long while.
Highlighters. I am working with CP Flexitarian at the moment but I feel like I have the best of highlighters over all with the Ofra ones I already own. If there is one I would ever get it would be Pat McGrath’s recent release but goodness me $60 is a little bit too much to justify to myself.
Eyeshadow… MUST. BUY. LESS. EYESHADOW.
Also, lips.
Everything but most likely nothing. I say that and I’m already eyeing Chanel’s recent offering. I’ve been having a moment with blushes, lately.
Lipstick or lip colors. And not even pandemic related. I used to keep a bunch in my purse and switch them up all the time. I would wear the reds and stuff but the only ones I would ever use UP were the “just throw it on” types. The others were wasteful. I’m kind of over it now.
Eye shadow. I am finally making peace with having small and deep set eyes and accepting that so many of the most innovative shadows, like multichromes, are wasted on me. Basic mattes and shimmers, plus the random duochrome, work best for me and I have a lifetime supply of those.
Lipstick.. for the third year in a row.
Color cosmetics in general. Because I realize that I have more than I’ll ever even begin to use up in this lifetime! Although, having bought a bunch of KN95 masks, at least now I can wear any and all of my lipsticks again, as those masks don’t lay flat against the face.
Heads up, the KN95 are not the official N95 recommended by the WHO. stay safe Nancy 🙂
Highlighters, blush, bronzers and lipsticks
Eyeshadow palettes. I have WAAAYYY too many and most are just sitting there doing nothing. I must stop hoarding palettes!
Definitely skincare – I have a whole big bag of different skincare items that I have accumulated during sales in the past year that I must use up. Then I am going to be quite select about what I stick to…that’s the plan.
As far as eyeshadow palettes and lipsticks go – I only buy two or so palettes a year (unless Lorac keeps putting out the kind of eye palettes that have my name written all over them!) and lipsticks that I am endevouring to use up and NOT buy more.
Lipstick 😩
I have no plans to accumulate anything makeup at the moment. I am down to my last 2 concealers, the CoverGirl one that is almost done and a mini Shape Tape. I will hold out until Ulta’s 21 Days of Beauty, which is when I replenish my staples. As far as other beauty products I just replace as I use up.
Eyeshadow pallets. i simple don’t use them and it’s such a shame. Although I could go on nobuy until I use up all the makeup I have, but that’s nit going to happen:)
Everything!
I think the only thing I’ll need to buy is lip balms, I do use a lot and I like to have them everywhere around the house so I don’t have to go searching for one when I need to reapply. I have rather dry lips.
I might also have to get a new eye cream, something’s happened to the skin around my eyes and all the eye care I have sting and sort of burns. The skin is also slightly red and swollen.
Other skincare and makeup I have enough of to last me through most of the year, or most of it.
Makeup. I have plenty. I might even have enough mascara stockpiled from sales (didn’t even buy any last year!) to get me through this year entirely.
though I may need to pick up a new base product this year. I think my Ilia skin tint is very nearly finished.
My answer should be “all categories” because I’m very well stocked in essentially everything but to pick one, I’d have to go with bronzer. I own many, and hardly ever use them.
I’m very light-skinned, never tan even in the summer, and live in Montreal so unless I go extremely lightly, it always ends up looking like I’ve used bronzer, and I favour a very natural makeup look and finish for my skin tone, so I don’t feel it really works for me. I’ll play up eyes and lips but for the rest I like a “no makeup/naturally flawless and sculpted” look.
Just about everything, but I’d say eyeshadows. Truly I need no more.
